Pavilion A6430f recovery error code

Hi,
I have a Pavilion a6430f desk top and I just replaced both hard drives on it. I inserted my recovery disk and began the recovery process when I received an error code of 0x400 100 130000 1002 as the hard drives were just beginning the reformatting of the Windows partition of the hard drive. I checked to make sure the hard drives were installed properly and it appears they are installed correctly. I have not been able to find any information online on how to solve this issue. Any suggestions for solving this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I think you have a bad hard drive, it needs to be replaced.
Did you make the HP recovery discs when you got the PC?
If not you will need to order a set, then replace the hard drive and use the recovery set to install the Operating System.
You can order recovery media here if you do not have them
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00810334&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en
If you have important data on the old hard drive I can show you how to save it once the new hard drive is installed and recovery has been performed, do not throw away the old hard drive

  • HP Recovery Error Code 100a

    Hi
I Have the Pavilion dv5 Laptop and out of the blue it just stopped loading Windows instead it keeps stalling on the HP Recovery Screen and no matter how many times i try re-booting it just keeps halting on this screen. So I tried doing the System Recovery and as soon as i click next to begin a message box comes up saying "Error Code 100a if this keeps occuring contact HP". I've tried Googling this error code and have found different reasons for the error ranging from Hard Drive Failure to Motherboard Failure. I have run the diagnostics tool and the Hard Drive passed all tests as did the Memory. Has anybody else encountered this error or have any idea what it could be.
    Thanks

    Hello,
Please make sure that there are no USB drives or external devices attached. _if the problem continues and you cannot run the F11 recovery - Call HP @ 1800 HP Invent and they will send you a free set of recovery disks if you are still in warranty.
    thanks!

  • HP Notebook 1000-1227TU Recovery - Error code: 0xc0000225

    Hi there,
    Model: HP 14" Notebook 1000-1227TU
    OS: Windows 8
I ran into a serious issue with my newly bought HP Notebook. I used EASEUS Partition Master software to resize C: drive from 275GB to 70GB, then allocate the new partition 205GB to F: drive (D: is recovery, E: is DVD). After clicking apply, the system reboots (and downloading windows updates).
Upon reboot, the following error message is shown. I can not choose to boot from recovery etc.
    ===========================================
    Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed
    Error code: 0xc0000225
You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your administrator or PC manufacturer.
    Press Enter to try again
    Press F8 for Startup Settings
Press Esc for UEFI Firmware Settings

This laptop is a gift to my parents and I am heading to my hometown in 2-days (in overseas). Pls help and provide assistance asap. Tks.

    Hi,
Press the power button and immediately tap the Esc key to enter the Strtup menu. In the Startup menu choose diagnostics and test the hard disk and the test the memory.
Post your results here in your thread.
If the results are a hard disk fail then the hard disk must be replaced with a new one.
Is your notebook still in warranty?
If the results are hard disk passed then the following procedure should help you.
You can download and create a live usb version of Gparted.
Boot to the USB flashdrive you used when creating the utility. Enter the   Gparted partition editor and mark the recovery partition as active. Once that is done, restart the PC and it should boot right into the Recovery manager.
In the Recovery manager you can perform a Factory Image recovery to return your notebook to the state it was delivered to you.
    Best regards,
    erico

  • DV-7 Recovery - Error Code 105

Hello, I'm having an issue rebooting my dv7-1130us laptop (OS is Windows Vista) from the recovery discs and the hard drive is brand new since I thought that was the issue. It gets to 30%-50% and shows error code 1005 but the discs are in good condition. I have spent hours researching this and tried everything recommended in BIOS settings. Please let me know of the possible causes of this issue.
    Thank you!
    Jason

Which version and type(32 or 64-bit) of Vista is installed?
There are download links for the ISO image files in the following thread as well as an explanation of how to use it to reinstall the operating system.

Installing the OS this way is the least expensive option. You can still download the drivers from the web support portal for your notebook on the drivers page.

  • Pavilion HPE-470f error code 0x4001100200001012 trying to re-install sysem via any method

I get the subject error code when trying to recover using either internal recovery or external DVD recovery disks.  Will not boot - have tried replaing all memory, and new HD.  (Do I have a motherboard or processor issue?  The error code goes on to state "The instruction @ 0x74a005ef referenced at 0x00000114. The memory could not be read."  (Do I have a bad motherboard or processor?  Troubleshooting indicates it's not memory chips nor HD. )

    Hello,
This issue is with the recovery media on the HDD or the DVD media, some of the files may have become corrupt.
Is the recovery DVD you are using burnt from the system? if so you may want to try burning at a lower speed.
Also if you do not have a OEM version of the recover media you can order a set from HP.

  • HP Pavilion A6528 P Error Code: Bio HD - 3 "No bootable drives detected."

    Hi,
I initially had a Bio HD - 2 error message, the computer would not boot.  So after unplugging and replugging the Sata cables and  running the diagnostic test I concluded that the hard drive may be shot and since I do not have another computer with a sata interface to test the hard drive, I purchased a new HD (Western Digital with the exact same specs) and installed it. After the installation the computer still would not boot ,so I ran the diagnostic again and apparently the HD was recognized and passed but now I have a new error message stating that while testing: boot path,   the error states  Error code: Bio HD - 3  "No bootable drives detected."I searched the board and could not find the definition for this error code.
    Please advise.
    Thanks

    Try this procedure:
Unplug the PC and open it up. Clean out all the dust. Carefully remove and replace all the cables going to the motherboard one at a time. Do the same for the memory dimms and the video and sound cards if you have any. Then clear the CMOS. Plug your PC back in a give it a go.  You might consider trying to use a different motherboard sata port for your hard drive.
Unplug all external devices other than the mouse, keyboard and monitor.

  • HP-PAVILION DM1-1090EV - Recovery - Error code:0XC0000034

    need help please...
I used EASEUS Partition Master software to resize C: drive from 290GB to 50GB, then allocate the new partition 240GB to F: drive
when i try to boot from partition recovery by pressing f11 the following error message is shown

    Hi,
Changing the partition sizes or deleting a partition fomr the original partition scheme causes the loss of the ability to access the recovery manager from the normal method. That ability can be resored by preformaing a factory image recovery. Be aware that a recovery is a destructive process and that makes it very different from Windows system restore. It is also an irreversible process.
You will have better results in your attempt to execute a recovery if you use a recovery disk set or usb recovery media.

  • HP Notebook breakdown/ Ask for recovery / Error code 0xc0000034 HELP

    Hello,
Last week my PC broke down after I turned it off manually. Since then, when I turn it on I fell directly on the 'Recovery' blue page. Saying
'Your PC need to be repaired. The Boot configuration data file is missing some required information...'
Then if I press Esc for UEFI Firmware settings, I can select 'Actualize my PC', but when I select that it tells that the windows lector is locked, so basically I cannot do anything.
Also I don' have any installation CDs because these 'new' PCs come with nothing.
In advance thanks, I think its manageable but I just dont know anything about PC and I really dont know what to do. Also I would like not to loose my data if possible.

    Hi @nanotsong
Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that you are getting a Boot Configuration Data file is missing error message. Did you happen to create a set of recovery CDs when you first got your notebook? You will need either those or an installation disk to repair the file. Try seeing if you can borrow an installation CD if you didn't create the recovery CDs.

  • Internet recovery error code "4403f"

i searched for solution for this issue and no one answer it. and i wish someone well..
so my problem is that i don't have an recovery HD so when i use the internet recovery it gives me ("apple.support" with code 4403F) and stuk ..
plz don't just read my probelm .. find me an answer plz .. thank you very much

tee144..  first that just isn't a nice answer..   Bashing someone for not knowing something is just wrong.  and I was always told if your not part of the solution your part of the problem.
Second..   Alex's post was just about worthless as yours..   Because Googling some words and posting other responses..  ah dah don't mean anything especially when its incorrect
Lastly..  all the other posts on solutions for this PROBLEM - are just wrong and plain shots in the dark.  because it is NOT a firewall or port blocking problem..  period.
I have perfect internet - no firewall..  Spent time on this issue (as I am working on it for a client) by trying several different internet provides at different locations that I own..  result was always the same
So I went further  by checking the traffic with a packet capture..  Apple just is NOT answering back..    the only resolve can come from Apple because my traffic goes out to them and gets no replies..

  • Error Code 0xc000185

Two weeks ago I purchased a brand new HP notebook HP 15-p091-sa as a Christmas gift for my son.  I'm dismayed to find that it is already displaying the following message on a blue screen:  "Recovery - Your PC needs to be repaired.  A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed.  Error code: 0xc000185.  You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media.  If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device) contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer".  Having searched the internet, there is nothing that I can find about how to fix this error code and the HP website isn't proving to be of much help either as it doesn't give any indication as to what the problem is. To make matters worse, I didn't get any installation media with the notebook so don't have a clue as to how to fix the problem.  Any ideas on how to fix much appreciated.

Usually first thing to try out is to do a quick and extensive hard drive tests:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=in&lc=en&docname=c03467259
Then if no failure occur on completion, you could use Recovery partition in your laptop hard drive or order a Recovery media directly from HP for repairing the Windows.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 Vista Recovery - Physical memory dump w/ error code 0x000000F4 (and others)

    Hello Everyone,
This is my first time posting in the forums so I hope that I have chosen the appropriate area and will do my best to be brief but informative.
    Computer: HP Pavilion dv6000
    Operating System: Windows Vista.
For the past 6-8 months it has been unable to perform Windows Update citing that the most likely reason was a virus. I have tried numerous trouble shooting options when it was recommended that I perform a chkdsk. After initiating a chkdsk in Command Prompt, my computer restarted and had a black screen with no cursor. After watching this for 2 hours and realizing that none of the usual chkdsk progress or text was coming up I made the decision to force shut down.
When I rebooted, I was told to enter system recovery which I did and completed a system recovery from the hard drive. After the system recovery finished and the laptop restarted, I experience a Blue Screen of Death due to a physical memory dump. The error codes are STOP: 0x000000F4 (0x0000000000000003, 0xFFFFFA8006671040, 0xFFFFFA8006671278, 0xFFFFF80001D01DA0).
I am not able to boot in safe mode. In the start up repair, I am able to enter command prompt from which I started chkdsk again. Both chkdsk f/ and chkdsk r/ passed with no errors. Additionally, the computer passed both UEFI Hard Drive and Memory tests. I have system recovery CDs for the computer but they fail at 78% completion.
Please let me know if you have any questions or require anymore information. I would appreciate any and all advice!
    Thank you!

  • RECOVERY LOOP: (Error Code:0xc0000185) PC doesn't load my operating system windows 8.

    Hello,
About 3 weeks ago my just over a year new laptop took a fall onto the carpet from 4 feet above... my screen was cracked so I ordered a new one and put it in yesterday. Now, I am having problems. I start up my laptop, the HP logo with a timer circle is spinning below it, then it says " your Pc ran into a problem and needs to restart", it restarts and then it says, " Recovery- Your PC couldn't start properly. A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Error Code: 0xc0000185." With a bunch of other stuff written below it.. I have tried all the prompts possible. I did do a HP PC HARDWARE DIAGNOSTIC UEFI test, both the short and extended one. It says FAILED - Failure ID: GLXS3H-6MF76S-MFPWWJ-60S603, with the Product ID: C5E40UA#ABA then right below HARD DRIVE 1.
My lap top will not go into the windows screen now at all. I am guessing the fall my lap top took did some damage to the hard drive and that is the internal problem now. I did look at a video on how to take the hard drive out and I did unplug, remove battery, and take it out and took the controller board off, check to make sure nothing was lose or broken, and put back together and reinserted it into my laptop and I am still having the same loop as above happening.
    INFO about my laptop:

My laptop's screen is flickering so I ran the HP Diagnostics. The laptop failed the DST check with an error code. Need to know what this product code means.
    Details:
    Pdt Name: HP Pavilion g6
    OS: Win 8.1
Error Code for DST Check Fail:  0TW460-6HN79Q-MFPX1A-60RD03
    Thanks,

DST fail=  the hard drive is dead or dying and will need to be replaced. If you are still in warranty HP will send a replacement. If not a retail laptop SATA hard drive can be used. Just be sure to get one of at least equal capacity as the original in order to use Recovery Discs. It can be larger, but not smaller capacity. For instance if you have a 500GB hdd you could use a 750GB hdd but not a 320GB hdd.
