Pavilion X360 11" bluetooth sound crackling

Playback of audio through bluetooth devices is very crackly and keeps breaking up.
I have tried with several different bluetooth speakers and headphones and all have the same problem. The bluetooth devices all play seamlessly with my ipad and iphone so the problem is with the laptop.
Audio playback via laptop speakers or plugged in external speakers is fine. As soon as I switch over to Bluetooth the crackling starts. Turn the bluetooth device off and playback continues on laptop speakers fine.
I have updated drivers to latest available for both bluetooth and audio device.
Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem?
Laptop is only a couple of months old so I will go back to the shop with it if I can't find a resolution!

I grasp that the sound from the notebook and from external speakers is fine but your Bluetooth Speakers produce a crackling noise.  You have updated the Bluetooth drivers and the audio driver but the issue remained.
Have you done all your Windows updates?
Have you ran the HP Support Assistant   to assist with HP updates and resolving issues?
Have you tried  Using automated troubleshooting (Windows 8)?

  • No HDMI sound on HP Pavilion x360

I am treying to connect my Pavilion x360 to a TV using an HDMI cable. I get the picture fine but no sound. There is no option to select HDMI output in the Beats Audio Control Panel or under the audio icon. What do I need to do to get Sound via HDMI?

set defaultHDMI icon disappearedThe HDMI port cannot receive audio if the HDMI icon disappears from the sound properties in the Control Panel. To restore the HDMI icon, follow the steps below.Reinsert the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the computer. After approximately 10 seconds, switch the audio source in the Control Panel.Click the Start button, type sound in the Search field, and select Sound from the list.On the Playback tab, select the HDMI audio device, click Set Default, and then click OK.The HDMI icon reappears in the sound properties in the Control Panel and the HDMI port can now receive audio.

  • HP Pavilion x360 touchscreen stops working with Win 8.1 pro

I currently have a HP Pavilion x360 2in1 convertible laptop.  The model # is 11-n010dx.  My issue is the touchscreen was working just fine with Win 8 on it, however, I need to be able to connect to my work network and that requires Win 8.1 pro.  I did the upgrade to Win 8.1 pro 64-bit and the touchscreen is not even recognized by the OS.  It states "No pen or Touch input is available for this display."  I have installed all of the drivers, nothing is missing from the device manager.  I try to install SP57846 but get an error that states that my computer does not meet the minimum requirememnt for this update.  I just need drivers to run my touchscreen in Win 8.1 pro 64-bit.
    Thanks

    Hi @ThundarTheOrk ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 11-n010dx x360 and the Touchscreen not working correctly after a Windows 8.1 update. Here is a link to a document on troubleshooting the Touchscreen.
Here is a fix I found from Microsoft.
The touchscreen shouldn’t need recalibration, but if you or another user has recalibrated it, it may affect the performance of the touchscreen.
Here’s how to check or restore the factory default calibration using a keyboard or mouse:
Press the Windows logo key Type Control Panel, then use the arrow keys to highlight Control Panel, and press Enter.
In Control Panel, use the arrow keys to highlight Hardware and Sound and press Enter.
Under Tablet PC Settings use the arrow keys to highlight Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input, and press Enter.
Use the Tab key to select the Reset button, and press Enter.
If the Reset button is grayed out, your Surface touch calibration is still at factory settings and nothing further required.
Use the Tab key to select Yes, press Enter, and then follow the instructions on the screen.
    Hope this works for you.
    Thanks.

  • Fully uninstall/remove beats audio from hp pavilion x360 laptop

Hi everyone. How can I revmove the beats audio (btw. HP, I do like your products and buy them more then any other computer products, but seriously, how can you install so much trashware on a light laptop... oh well). I have seen a few guides but they all mention the IDT under device options or something similar. THERE IS NO IDT UNDER DECIVES (Under sound, video and game controlles). There is only .cyber link webcam cirtual driver, .intel(R) display audio .Realtek high definition audio There is still a Beats audio in my sys tray, in the controll pannel and it still craps up (sry for the language) my audio. I have advanced uninstaller 11 installed but it can find neither beats audio nor anything with IDT. How can I remove this from my laptop? The laptop is an HP pavilion x360 11-n013na. Cheers.  EDIT: P.S I would like to remove it completely. I.E. do a clean uninstall, but if I can only disable it, that would still be better then nothing.

, Hello and thanks for posting on the HP support forums.  The only way to remove the Beats audio from your system is to not use that system.  Beats is built in as an integration to the IDP audio system and can not be removed.  Thanks for the post and have a great day.

  • Running Windows 7(32) on MBA - sound crackling, stuttering

I did a search on this and found some posts from other users (see below)but no solution. I have upgraded the driver to 6.0.1.6235, I have installed the recent update of Bootcamp (3.2.2646), but the issue remains. Sounds playing in different applications are effected, though it seems to be more frequent when playing locally stored content (buffering??)
When running in MacOS 10.6, the sound works perfectly. Have anyone managed to solve this? Or, perhaps someone NOT having this issue could get in touch, so I could try to replicate your settings/drivers.

    , Win 7 x64 RTM since August 09.
Just this week, I reinstalled Windows 7 x64 fully legit ... NEVER had this stuttering problem until now. I was running Bootcamp 2 under Windows 7 before ...I don't think this is a hardware issue and here is why:
    I have a Rev A MBA (1.8ghz ....0.1.5936
I really think this issue is caused by the Realtek Driver and/or Bootcamp 3.0/3.1

I have the same problem, and also tried several drivers from Realtek Website.
Also updated bootcamp to 3.1 but problem still exists!!
At the beginning i thought it might be HW related problem, but sound works flawlessly on MAC OS.
    Any advice?

I don't think this is a hardware issue and here is why:
    I have a Rev A MBA (1.8ghz, 64gbSSD) purchased in Feb 2008. Ive run OSX 10.5 Leopard for a year, and Win7 x64 Beta since Feb 09, Win 7 x64 RTM since August 09.
Just this week, I reinstalled Windows 7 x64 fully legit version. I installed the OS as my only OS, and installed Bootcamp 3.0 and then 3.1.
Ive NEVER had this stuttering problem until now. I was running Bootcamp 2 under Windows 7 before and didnt have any problems with stuttering audio.
My current version of Realtek drivers is 6.0.1.5936
I really think this issue is caused by the Realtek Driver and/or Bootcamp 3.0/3.1

  • K7n2delta-L sound crackle problem

hi. I experience sound crackling with the MSI K7n2 delta-L board. It happens when for example, im in the middle of a conversation in NetMeeting, and i hear a sound alert in YM, the sound crackles then in the conversation after that. I also hear sound crackling in the game Syberia 2. I wonder where the problem lies, in the hardware or the driver. I've installed the latest nforce drivers from the nvidia site. Here are the specs of my computer:
    Amd Athlon 2500
    512mb DDR
    MSI K7n2 delta-L board
    Geforce 3 ti200
PS. I also have an old Sound Blaster Live card installed in the PCI slot. But i just use it for it's game port purposes because the MSI board doesn't have one.

thanks man. i downloaded the realtek sound drivers and problem went away. The spec for the K7n2delta-L was really misleading because when you look at the product page, it says that the only difference between the two products was the raid on the lan and the firewire ports. it never said anything on omitting the sound storm audio on the L version. So I suppose that was the problem cause i was using the nvidia drivers all the time on realtek sound.
    Thanks again.

  • NEW Pavilion x360 11 on 8.1 Upgrade to Windows 10

Just purchased a HP Pavilion x360 11-k099nr w. Windows 8.1. So my question is, from right out of the box with Win 8.1, should I: 1. Update the computer with all WIn 8.1 HP updates and then proceed to upgrade to Win 10? ; or 2. Should I update nothing for Win 8.1 and proceed to update to Win 10 right out of the box? I do see a series of updates to this unit on the HP web for Win 8.1, most dated July 2015.  Cheers

Honestly I don't think you should bother with a bunch of windows 8.1 updates. Windows 10, is a completly new OS and the installation process will download any necessary updates that your PC needs.  After you get up and running with Windows 10, go the the HP support website and let it auto detect your machine, this will make sure the HP support app on your machine is updated and with help make sure your drivers and other software are up to date.

  • Screen protector for Pavilion x360

I'm looking to get a screen protector for my new Pavilion x360. Since they are relatively new, there aren't many options. But those things tend to be interchangeable with other similar products. I'm wondering if the screen is the same size as any of the other, more established, HP tablets or notebooks?

This is not an HP company, but here is someone offering a protector for that PC:

  • Bluetooth sound pops continually

I have a Creative Soundblaster D200 bluetooth wireless speaker.  Up until I upgraded to Mountain Lion, it worked perfectly.  The speaker works just fine with the Mac Powerbook and the iMac that are both running OS 10.7; the sound files on my iMac running Mountain Lion are ALSO fine, and play perfectly if I switch to regular headphones or if I run a speaker wire from the Mac to the Soundblaster.
BUT...the moment I change to bluetooth, I get continual popping noises in the sound stream.  There is NOTHING wrong with the speaker; Creative's support confirms that, and again, the bluetooth sound stream works just fine with the non-Mountain Lion Macs or if I hard-wire the speaker to the Mountain Lion Mac (which negates the whole purpose behind having a bluetooth speaker).  Nothing wrong with the sound files, which play just fine outside of bluetooth.
I've tried deleting & re-pairing the speakers; I've deleted the com.applebluetooth.plist file multiple times.  Nothing works.  How can I fix this?

the sound pops up or down
I'm not sure what you mean... when you're adjusting the volume, the volume changes?

  • M.2 and Sata on pavilion x360 and ram

    Hello !
I have choice betwen two models of Pavilion x360 13" :
    13-a202nj
    13-a201nj
The 13-a202nj have a "ssd M.2" and the 13-a201nj have a sata SSHD.
I wanted to know if these two models have the same mother board with a slot M.2 and a slot Sata or if they have two diferents boards one only with M.2 slot and one with only sata slot ?
I also wanted to know if the memory ram is upgradable from 6 to 8 GB ?
    Thanks !!

    Zynalo wrote:
I don't find any explain of the M2 slot in the Service guide :
    Me too.
There is one slot for both, sata and M.2, and there is an adaptive flex for each one ? Or there is two different slot and space ?
The m2 SSD can go directly only into m2 socket in the board. Likewise SATA SSD can go directly only into SATA port connection.
Now , there are adapters you would be able to buy to plug m2 SATA SSD into SATA socket.
To explain myself, do you think that is possible to add a regular sata hard disck in the 13-a201 in addition to the M.2 SSD or to add a M.2 SSD to the 13-a201 in addition of the sata hard disk ?
This, I cannot confirm as I have seen feedbacks in here that m2 SSD and SATA drives won't work when put together .
In fact i don't anderstand if the M.2 SSD take the place of the hard disk or if it's directly conected to the board with a empty hard disck place... (for the 13-a202)
Regarding the specific two models you're concerned , I cannot confirm as I do not have those models with me. i.e., cannot confirm that m2 SATA SSD & SATA slots are present on the same board at a time as Manual don't illustrate it - only lists them compatible with the board.

  • Antivirus for HP Pavilion x360

I just got the pavilion x360 and I'm not sure which antivirus to get? Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Hi
Well in my opinion you should never pay for Anti-Virus protection  ( Norton , Kaspersky , McAfee ) reason for this is NO Anti Virus program can protect you 100% from infection "so why pay" . My pesronal opinion again is AVG 2015 complimented by Malwarebytes . If you install both of these programs and update daily and do regular scans then these programs will be more than enough to keep your system secure ( or as secure as you can be ) . I will post the links for these programs below . (NB be sure to install the free versions from the offset and not the free 30 day trials for the full program ) because at the end of the 30 days you will have to downgrade to FREE version of the program so it will save time in the future .  Remember this is only a personal opinion and not a opinion of HP or HP partners .
