Pavillion 6826f

my pavillion only has a vga output.does it support digital output via vga to hdmi cable

Hi,
No, from analog (VGA) to digital (HDMI or DVI ) you need a converter not just a cable. You need something like one of these:
   https://www.google.com.au/search?q=vga+to+hdmi+converter&hl=en&tbo=u&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENAU282&source=univ...
Hope this helps.

  • Officejet No Longer Recognized by Pavillion Desktop

My HP Pavillion Desktop (product a5t49aar) no longer recognizes my HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one N911a printer (product cm749a).  Have already shut both down and restarted.  Have already checked my wireless connection.  Printer believes it is connected.  Desktop resolutely begs to differ.
Copy function is fine.  Can't print anything from the desktop and can't scan anything to the desktop.   My drivers are up to date according to diagnostics.
Tried searching help and using HP Support Assistant, but no luck other than found info saying to do all of the above.
    Help please...

    Hello @FrazzledOne,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're experiencing an issue when trying to wirelessly print and scan from your Windows 7 computer to your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this issue. To start I am going to have you verify if your computer is actually 'seeing' your wireless Officejet still. From there, we will resolve either the networking issue on the printer or connectivity issue on your computer. Please follow the steps below.
    Step 1: Check Connectivity:
On the front panel of your HP Officejet select the Setup (wrench) button
    Touch Network Menu
    Touch View Network Summary
    Select View Wireless
Take note of the IP Address and Network Name SSID that displays
On your Windows computer open up the internet browser
In the address bar type in the printers IP Address. Do not include www.
    Search to that website.
If a website for your printer opens: This proves with 100% certainty that your printer and computer are still communicating wirelessly. There is a chance that a change of IP Address on the printer has caused a wireless communication issue with your computer. To resolve any such conflicts can I please have you click here to download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. This Tool will run on your computer and 'fix printing' issues for you. Should any driver, software, or connection conflicts be found than the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool will attempt to resolve those conflicts for you.
If a website for your printer fails to open: This shows that your printer and computer are not 'talking' over your network. Please ensure that your Windows 7 computer is still connected to the same Network Name SSID that your printer is connected to. Avoid connecting to 'guest' networks. If your computer is on the correct network, yet the issue persists, please proceed with the steps below.
    Step 2: Powercycle Network:
First, unplug the power cable to your Router
Once your Router is unplugged, turn off your printer
    Next, shut down your computer
After 30 seconds to 1 minute, plug your Router back in
    Next, turn on your printer
    Turn on the computer
After a few minutes check on your computer to ensure that you are able to browse to websites again. Once your internet is responding, can you please gather the IP Address off your printer again. Once you have the IP Address try to access the printers website on your Windows 7 computer through the internet browser.
If the website opens successfully: Please try printing. if printing fails, run the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool that I provided the link for above to correct the IP Address change. Just choose 'fix printing' and the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool should do all the work for you.
If the website still fails to load: Your printer is still not 'talking' to your wireless computer. Please proceed to reconfigure your printer on the network.
Step 3: Restore and Reconfigure Wireless:
Select the Setup button on the front of your printer
    Select the Network menu
    Select Restore Network Defaults.
Once the Restore is complete select Wireless Setup Wizard under the Network menu
    Select your Network Name SSID
Enter your wireless password (key). This is case sensitive
Once the wireless configuration is successful please test wireless printing again.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • Imminent Hard Drive Failure Pavillion DV6

    HP Pavillion DV6 - 6051ea
    Windows 7 64-bit
    Imminent Hard Drive error
I've run the hard drive scan, and got the following failure ID:
    M4JC3U-5K9655-MFH14J-60E303

    Hi:
I would back up my files as soon as possible, if I were you.
Also, if you have not created a set of recovery disks using the HP Recovery Manager, I would do this ASAP.
You may also want to create a system image using the backup tool in windows 7 and create a repair CD.
Then plan on getting a new hard drive in the very near future.  Use the recovery disks or system image to load your OS back on the new hard drive.

  • Pavillion DV4 mother board replacement

My Pavillion dv4 VM298UA won't charge.  I tried a new battery, charger and DC jack but no luck.  After searching the forums it looks like I need to replace my mother board.  Does anyone have answers to the following questions?
    1. What causes a mother board to go bad like this?
    2.  If I replace it is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again?
    3.  I have seen new and refurbished boards avaliable with the refurbished ones being about half the cost of new.  Is it ok to use a refurbished one?  The benefit is lower cost, but what is the risk?
    4.  Is there anything else that needs to be replaced at the same time?  ie fan, heat sink, etc
    5.  The boards I have seen do not come with a processor.  Is it a big deal to take the processor off my existing board and transfer it to the new board?  Any special tools or techniques needed?
    6. How likely is it that the mother board is the problem and not something else?  Is there any way to look at the mother board and tell?  Any tests that could be done?
    7.  Anything else I should be aware of before I invest any more $ into this thing?
Thinking about this another way, with the hard drive from this computer fit into any other computer?  I really would like to reserect the computer, but wjhat I really need to do is to get some stuff off the hard drive.  Is there another compure I could get that I could plug this HD into?
Are there any post that address these issues that I just haven't found yet?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Check with HP of Brazil or if they have eBay in Brazil and search for your board number to see if there is someone selling a matching board.

  • HP Pavillion DV4 1123us power adapter problem

    Hi,
After using the HP Pavillion DV4 1123us for two years suddenly I noticed that the power adapter is not supplying power to the computer and it is making some not too loud repeatitive sound. I replaced the power adapter with HP 90W Smart Power Adapter which worked fine for a few weeks and then I noticed whenever I connect this to the wall outlet it makes some repeatitive chirping sound and this is also not suppying power to the computer anymore. It behaves like this even when it is not connected to the laptop which indicates that there is some problem with the adapter and not with the internal powers supply of the laptop. It is so surprising that the replacement power adapter stopped working so early.
In my home all the other laptops are working just fine and and found all of them are two pin  - only these two are three pin. Not sure if this has gota anything to do with this fault.
Any help on this matter will be highly appreciated.

  • How to remove cover over RAM compartment on a Pavillion g7 1260us

This is my first HP laptop. The Dells I have owned were pretty straightforward when it came to removing the cover over the RAM compartment.  This HP has me freakin' stumped.  I remove the battery and the only two screws I see holding on the very LARGE L-shaped cover (covers maybe 40% of the underside of this machine).  Once the screws are out I cannot go further.  Can only pry a corner of the cover up at the battery comparment end of it.  There are no "pry slots" and no obvious way to work the thing loose.  I don't want to get too physical as I do not want to break the cover.  The machine is only a month old!  Not that I would want to bust it if it were an older machine.
I need guidance from someone who has added RAM to their Pavillion g7 to tell me, step by step, how to get the bottom off this darned thing.  I know what to do with the RAM once I am in.  It is the getting it that is holding up the operation.

Well I did finally get the cover off.  It was a matter of half-closing my eyes, getting my finger under the corner of the cover at the battery compartment and slowly pulling up harder and harder.  Once one of the retaining tabs finally released I could peek under the cover and see the other tab locations.  I worked my finger along and pulled up near each tab and the cover finally succumbed to my persistence.
Once in, adding the extra RAM card took maybe a minute.  And replacing that cover is WAY easier/faster than getting the darned thing off!

  • New video card for HP Pavillion Elite HPE-170t

Hi, I'm starting to get some screen artifacts sporadically, Ithink my video card is starting to go bad. i want to get a new one, but I am not sure what will fit. My computer  HP Pavillion Elite HPE-170t:
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-860 quad-core processor [2.8GHz, 1MB L2 + 8MB shared L3 cache]
    8GB DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM
    1TB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive
1GB ATI Radeon HD 4850 [2 DVI, HDMI and VGA adapters]
    Lightscribe SuperMulti DVD burner
15-in-1 memory card reader, 1 USB, 1394, audio
    No TV Tuner
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium
I see by some other questions here several video cards suggested, but those replies were a few years old and those video cards are no longer available.
So, any suggestions on newer video cards under $200 that will pretty much fit and work as easily as possible? Thanks!
    This question was solved.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I don't have another monitor to try, but the artifacts seem to sometimes move along with the mouse cursor. Sometimes I can scrill the artifacts away, other times the screen freezes.
I do have room for a double width card,  but I was looking at the XFX R7 250E 800MHz 1GB DDR5 DP HDMI DVI Graphics Card, which seems to be a newer model of the XFX AMD Radeon HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 . Both are single wide and don't need an extra power connection.

  • Hp Pavillion G6 wifi do not work

I found problems with realtek card in my G6 pavillion. My husband ordered brand new Broadcom netwroking card with bluetooth and installed it in hope to fix the wlan issue. How ever after fresh installing broadcom wifi drivers, we cannot  enable wlan at all. Bluetooth works like a charm but still wlan cannot be enabled at netwroking adapters where it can be seen as greyed out. Whe we try to enable it windows 7 64bit either says: Windows found unexpected error or does not say anything at all and keeps the adapter greyed out. If I try widnows problems finder it says windows expierenced unexpected error with Broadcom 801.11 driver.
Does Broadcom wifi drives support 64bit system at all or what is the possible reason why my adapters bluetooth works out of the box but not wifi drivers?

    Hi Anu_Helminen,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Pavilion g6 and WiFi not working. Here is a link to try opening the Device Manager by clicking Control Panel. In Device Manager, locate the network adapter, and then double-click the device name. Click the Driver tab, and disable the old Driver. Restart the computer and the new adapter should be able to be enabled. Only 1 wireless adapter can be enabled at a time.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi lustyln,
I'm having a little trouble understanding all of what you are trying to explain. From what I can tell, it sounds like your PC has a lot of software problems and you want to know what is supposed to be there and what isn't.
For reference, here are your product specifications:

To get your PC software back to how it was when it was first purchased, run a system recovery:

  • Pavillion dv6-Had screen replaced on August 22, 2012 because it went black and would not come back o

Have a Pavillion dv6 for my teenage daughter.  We got it late December of 2011, so it's less than a year old.  On August 22, 2012, I just got it back from being repaired because the screen went black and would not come back on no matter what we did.  It came back with a teeny, tiny little black line way down at the bottom of the screen, didn't seem like a big enough problem to worry about so we kept it and she used it.  Last night when she went to bed it was working fine, today when she turned it on after getting home from school, the whole screen is a disaster---it looks like a big diagonal crack is running up the screen and it's a solid strip of color on one side and then lines and then the crack then you can see where the sign on logo is trying to run---kind of---rolling up the tiny part of the screen it is showing on.  Called customer support, which was a complete nightmare!  I used the first number that came up for hpsupport on google and it was iyogi-----could barely understand the woman on the other end, she kept having me tell her the problem over and over and over and over and telling her my name and phone number and email address and the serial number and the product number, over and over and over and over and over and over-----this went on forever---then she had me try pressing the f10 key and the power button and it gave 13 beeps and would go off, she had me put the phone up so she could hear that happen 6 times.  Then finally she says it;s a hardware problem and she will transfer me over to harware support after trying to sell me software protection that I don't want.  She transfers me, I get an automated system and damned if I don't get rolled right back to the same Indian woman and she starts me from scratch like she hadn't just talked to me 4 minutes before that-----I was furious!  I told her I had already been on the phone with her and told her all this information and she still had me give it to her 3 more times then said she would put me through to hardware support.  I spent 1 hour and 25 minutes on the phone total and almost all of it was with this woman that had no clue and barely spoke English.  Why?  I live in the USA, I bought the product in the USA, why can't I speak to customer support in the USA?  Why do I always have to talk to someone that I have a language barrier with?  Why do they always make me do the same thing over and over and over and keep me on the phone over an hour?  It was the same way in August when it needed repaired, I was on the phone that night 1 hour and 10 minutes.   Is the goal to get you to just forget it and go buy a new one?

  • Driver for the ethernet controller on a HP Pavillion P600000 Series desktop after upgrading to Windows 7 Enterprise?

After upgrading from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Enterprise (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601), I cannot find working drivers for my ethernet controller. The desktop is a HP Pavillion, Model
No. p6710f. I located the drivers on HP's website, but Windows 7 Enterprise
is not listed as compatible. Compatibility list:
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Basic (64-bit), Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit), Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (64-bit), Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit), Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
The original driver (according to HP's site) is a Realtek PCIe Family networking controller, Version:7.26.902.2010 Rev. A.
    I tried contacting HP, but apparently I voided their warranty once I upgraded to Windows 7 Enterprise. I do not have a support plan with Microsoft because the operating system was purchase through TechSoup (nonprofit). I greatly appreciate your help;
let me know if you need more information.

  • How can you improve the performance of an hp pavillion a6350z?

Hi, I bought an HP Pavillion a6350z desktop in Feb. of 08. It worked very well  the 1st 3 yrs.,but this past yr. I have had constant problems with it. It is VERY slow. My DSL speed is supposed to be up to 4 MBPS download and I have tested it on many speed test sites and it comes out to actually be .4 MBPS. I have tried a few of those "Optimizing" suites and that hasn't really helped. It is also very unpredictable. At times the page flashes, the screen will suddenly have a white overcast to it, I have flashes of various types and it isn't pop-up ads, although I do get a few of those. Sometimes it will close a page out of the blue. I also have a virus protection suite on it and run that regularly. It doesn't really make a difference. Last June it totally crashed and I had to take it in to a shop to get it repaired. I called my ISP and the tech guy told me maybe a new modem would help. He gave me information on what to look for and get.
Does anyone have any suggestions for my crazy desktop?
    Thanks,
    jswwi

Do a system recovery and reinstall the OS.  Backup your data first.

We have begun to get a blue screen with a memory error but once again restart and its ok...any one have any suggestions??? i am ready to drop kick this piece of junk out the door. At this point i hate HP products and won't be buying another one, and oh did i mention this has been going on right after the 1 yr warranty has been up?? please help. thanks.
