Pay as you go or pay per month sub?

Okay, I will try and make this as simple as I can. My mother lives in the uk and would like to call to mostly just mobiles to Australia. Landlines would be okay, but for the time just mobile numbers.
I have seen the 60 mins, 120 mins or 400 mins pay as you go but how fast does skype credit go? http://www.skype.com/intl/en/prices/pay-monthly/?currency=AUD&source=account#AU
I was a little unsure as I have never bought skype credit myself if this was the right option to go with or not. I got worried when I saw "pay-monthly" as if it was a subscription plan or not. If I bought that, would that come out each month from my visa card? or would I pay when I feel I need to get more credit? I think I'm a bit confused..
I also looked up if you could gift skype credit, but I'm not sure if that is in option to do in Australia.
What would be the best and cheapest option to go for my mother?

It sounds like you did your homework.  All of this depends on your mother's calling - how often would she call Australia, and for how long.  After a little while, a subscription would be a better way to go.  It would cost less than continuing to pay the per-minute rate for calls paid for with Skype Credit.  Unfortunately, there are no "unlimited" subscriptions covering calls to Australian mobiles, due in large part to the costs of calling those phones.  The "Pay monthly" options are subscriptions, which would automatically renew every month - but can be cancelled when you don't need them. 
As for how fast Skype Credit would be be used up, that again depends on how often your mother would call Australia.  She should be able to look at previous phone bills, or how often she pays for phone cards, to get an idea of her calling to Australia.  Or you can do that for her.  That will be the bottom line in determining which is the best and most cost-effective option for her.

    Michaelt65951582 I am sorry but you will need to run at least the minimum operating system to use Photoshop.  You can find the system requirements at System requirements | Photoshop.  I would recommend upgrading to Windows 7 or later.  You may find that your computer can support the more recent operating system depending upon the hardware installed.

    What you need is merged help.
    You generate a parent and all the child projects. You always install the parent and then whichever child projects you require. The TOC, search and index automatically adjust. See the pages on my site.
    Note though that many people take another view to your Product Development. Show all the help and then people see information about something and realise they need it!

    I don't work for Adobe but it seems to me you might be signing in to Acrobat with the wrong Adobe ID.
    Check the Adobe ID you use in Acrobat.
    Check this Adobe ID on Adobe's to make sure that it has an active subscription.

    No they don't. Those unlimited downloads are a rental service and when you don't subscribe the music is gone.

    Hello! I have had a very frustrating experience with Comcast customer service and billing department and my service hasn't started yet!! I am afraid I will have to cancel or opt out of your services.On Monday I contracted an online offer. Here's the screen shot of what I contracted. I tried to click on the blue letters "pricing & other info" but nothing will pop up never, so I was not able to check the "little print" that usually hides extra fees or anything. Go to your website and tell me if anyone can retrieve that info, from Chrome in my Galaxy Light phone, I couldn't.  On Tuesday I receive the confirmation of my order, but the details of my bill say something different from what I contracted!!  Here's a screen shot of the order confirmation.    Now, as I took screenshots of the steps it took me while I was contracting the service, here's the info of what I selected.   I remember I choose self installation and the cheapest shipping and handling, but I thought it wa going to be free too, as the one that was $29.00 something was the expedited shipping. Today, I needed to set up my username and password and choose the papaerless bill so at 11 am I called the number 1 855 230 4264  they said they could not help me and sent my call to other number, they helped me with the username and password and sent my call tbilling department so they could give me info about the carges on my confirmation email. The lady that picked up was super rude, first she said that I contracted the service at a comcast office, which I didn't, then she said some nonesense and ended up cutting my call and sending it to somebody else. I ask for her supervisor or manager and she told me he would be able to talk to me. Put me on hold and I had to wait more thatn 15 minutes for somebody to pick up my call again. The man that picked up, asked how was my day and since I said that I was not as good as I would wanted to, he put me on hold again and picked up 5 minutes later. By then I was very super angry >:-(  but I needed to finish this matter of knowing how much do I have to pay every month, so I tried to be patient, maybe a little sarcastic at a time. He started to give explanations that were not right, cause I answered with the info that I had. Then finally he said he had the offer I purchased and that probably it was shipping and handling what i was paying for, but he couldn't say if this was going to be my monthly statement or not.  He sent me to somebody else that was supposed to tell me this, but the man that picked up told me my monthly statement was going to be $54.** plus tax!! Even worse!! He didn't knew about the online offer or whatsoever. Please people!!!  All I want to know is if this $60.** was a one time charge or my monthly bill.   The state tax is around 10% in TN so what I expected to pay is $55.00 tops Who am I supposed to ask if neither your customer service or billing departments have the information???????  A super angry >:-( customer from Antioch, Tennessee 

    Ed...maybe a little less time gaming and a bit more time in English class? They got this thing called punctuation and sentences now. Last things first; there is no amount of money that can change your GPU so you can scratch that expense off the list. So you need a battery and a fan? Where do you live? USA? We can help you find a battery but where did you plan to have the new fan put in?

  • AWS pricing per month

    I'm not a technical guy and to be honest I'm struggling with some of the terminology on the pricing - can anyone help?  (Shiven, thanks for your recent help on the FMS licence costing).  Basically our service allows users to record video content live to a server and also to watch recorded content form the server.  We currently have a handful of users and the video at this stage is very small files (i.e. no more than 20MB per upload/download).  As you can tell, we're at the early days of start up and are trying to figure out the cost of switching to AWS now and how costs would scale as we develop.  I wouldn't hold you to a price but would you be able to give me a rough estimate of what I should expect to pay per month based on say 100 people using the site across a month?

    I think I understand your situation. AWS costing can vary depending upon the various AWS tools you use to assist your solution. External volumes, Elastic IPs to mention a few.
    As per my understanding, you are looking for a basic VOD solution with not much load. So you can probably give the 'Large' instance a try and see what it costs you over a period of days.
    The costing model is on a per hour basis. So you can do your calculations accordingly.
    Once you decide to scale up, you will need the Larger instances or probably even a combination of them to get going. But I suggest you at least get a hands on with the least costly instance first and then decide.
    Let me know if you have any other concerns.
