  • Document signature with date/time received stamp

Does anyone know if you can combine the feature of a date/time received stamp with the signature of the person who received it?
    Regards,
    Sean

    Hi Sean,
The way a time stamp works is that it's a signature over the document signature, kind of like when a notary public signs a document. They (the notary) are not verifying the accuracy of the document, only that you signed it and when you signed it.
Generally (can you sense that this is going to get more complicated then it should be ), a time stamp is created (by a trusted third party) at signing time to prove that the signature existed a a particular point in time. If you timestamp your signature at signing time it cannot be time stamped again by the receiving party. If the receiving party wants to add a timestamp they need to sign the document themselves. An example of this is the patent office. It doesn't matter to them what time you signed the patent application, but rather when they received it. They add their own timestamp to show what time the application was received by signing the document a second time.
Now just to confuse things a bit, starting with Acrobat 9.1.0, if the signature was not time stamped at signing time, it has the ability to add a timestamp post signing. You can add the timestamp by opening the Signature Panel, right mouse click on the signature, and select Add Verification Information from the pop-up menu. You must have a timestamp server configured in the Security Settings console and the Include signature's revocation status when signing preference selected in order for this feature to be available, and the signature must be valid. You cannot add a timestamp post signing over an invalid signature.
    I hope this helps,
    Steve

  • Payables: Cannot start a Payment Document number with Zero

    Hi all,
I have a bit of an unusual situation. One of my users wants to issue cheques from a book where the serial starts with 0 (015698, 015699 etc). However, Oracle Payables automatically deletes the 0 at the top of the string and leaves only rest of the integers in the cheque number field. This creates a problem in printing the payment voucher since the voucher will show the paid cheque number without the zero at the front.
Any suggestions as to how i can overcome this?
    Miranga

    Hi Miranga,
Note 1361688.1, R12: Payables Check Number Not Accepting Leading0. Ex: 060078, discusses this issue with the note  that:
"This is a normal behavior, There is no chance to have leading 0 in the check number, The check number in the AP_CHECKS_ALL table is a numeric field, so we can't have padded zeros."
For reconciliation, the leading check numbers are removed so matching can occur, assuming you have patch 12976660 applied.

  • Partial reversal of the payment document

    Hi gurus,
I have a payment document A, that contains 3 invoices - C, D and E. Issit possible to reverse just invoice C in payment document A without having to do a new payment run?
As far as I know, once you reset ( FBRA ) payment document A, invoice C, D and E will be open item and u can reverse invoice C. After that u will need to perform a new payment run for invoice D and E.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I think you are using transaction code F110 to make vendor payment. as per your question it seems that Durring Payment run you have selected 3 invoices C, D, E for that particular vendor made one payment document for a single cheque. In this case, it is not possible to reverse one particular invoice for the corresponding  payment document.

  • Recurring document - FBD1 with incorrect due-date calculation for AP

    Hi Gurus,
in our ECC 6.0 system we are creating with F.14 FI-documents (SAPF120) based on recurring documents (created with FBD1) for various purposes (e.g. Recurring entries for IC-business).
Therefore it's important that the system provides in the final processing of the recurring documents the correct net-due-date in the AP-document based on the document date and the payment term included in the AP-masterdata (LFB1-ZTERM).
    Problem:
The processed FI-document contains the correct payment term but the calculated net-due-date with regards to the document date (BKPF-BLDAT) isn't correct. A Dummy-Update of the FI-document with FB02 on field BSEG-ZTERM provides finally the correct net due date but this a not recommended solution.
Any ideas how to solve that issue???
    Thanks for replies.
    BR, Bernd

    Hi Vishnu,
    the defined payment term is
    fix day: 15
    additional month: 1.
Default for baseline date is posting date
Therefore the expectation is that net due date is calculated for posting date
    e.g. : 01.02.2012 to 15.03.2012.
The line item after processing in FI-document shows :
    Posting Date : 01.02.2012
    Bline Date:   01.02.2012
    Days/percent: 35
    Net due date: 07.03.2012 (dd.mm.yyyy)
That's wrong according to my understanding of the payment term definition.

  • User Exit transaction FB05 with data of documents that are to be cleared.

    Hi,
Is there any user exit or badi in transaction FB05, where the data of documents that are to be cleared and the data of payment document are available?
I need that in the F110 transaction, the field SGTXT of the payment document is filled with the field XBLNR of documents to compensate.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Ana Lucas

    Hi,
The field XBLNR of the clearing document isn't the same of cleared document.
In the substitution we don't have available the data of cleared document,  but only the data of clearing document.

  • Incorrect clearing date on AP payment document

We did a payment run (F110) on 1/31/2008 for various vendors and all the payments were posted on that same day.   However, we noticed that there are 4 invoices that now show clearing date = 02/02/2008, even though these invoices were included in the 1/31 payment run.  The payment document for those 4 invoices also have document/posting/entry date of 1/31/2008.   We cannot figure out where the 02/02 is coming from.     If any of you have encountered this issue before, I would appreciate your input.    Thank you.

When you go to those 4 vendors' information you will see the line: "Chk cashng time" - there is probably "2" there. This is what it means:
"Chk cashng time"  -  Probable time until check is paid. It is number of days which usually pass until the vendor has cashed your check.
    Use:
During automatic payment transactions, the system calculates the value date for check payments using this information and stores the date in the line item. The date is calculated as follows:
Value date = posting date + check cashing time
If you want to make is same day, just g to: Change vendor information FK02 and delete this "2"
    Please assign points if helpful.

  • EBS - MT940 - Auto Clearing with payment document number

    Hi
I am getting the MT940 bank statement with the payment document number alongwith company code and year at line 86.  For example:
    900012345678902014?21
    9000 - company code
    1234567890 - Payment document number
    2014 - Year
    ?21 - Not sure
I created a new search string as below:
    ( |^)#####################( |$)
At tag, I left only the 10 digits for the document number and removed the other values ie for company code, year etc
Assigned this search string for the bank account with interpretation algorithm 020 (document number search)and target field is Note to payee.
But, the system is not able to clear by looking at the payment document. Instead, it is trying to clear with the amount.
Could you please suggest me on this.
    Thanks and Regards
    Ashok

    Hi Ashok,
Did you try with entring this BELNR number(1234567890) in FF_5 screen?

  • Convert Adobe Form (with data) to Microsoft Word Document

    Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Standard
    Windows XP Professional SP2
    Microsoft Word 2003 SP3
I am attempting to convert an Adobe PDF Form (with data included) to a Microsoft Word document.
When I use the menu to attempt this, I get a Word document containing only the form fields.
I want to be able to grab all the text from the document, as these forms were used to fill in information for Job Descriptions, and I want to submit the text to job boards (without having to retype anything).
What are my options for obtaining this information?

    Bill:
Thank you for all of your help. I do not have the program in front of me, so I don't have a means of independently verifying this, until I go see the user tomorrow when he returns to the office ...
Just to confirm, a fillable PDF is different from a standard PDF, as it stores the form fields in a special way, likewise, the data is stored in a special way. This is actually a quite useful feature, for compiling data, if you use the form multiple times.
A standard export of a fillable PDF exports only the fields.
To get the data, I would have to choose to save form data.
To get the fields and the data, I have to print it using a PDF printer to create a new PDF document. Once I create this new PDF document, I can then export to Word as desired.
If I want ONLY form fields: (one-step process)
    Export > Microsoft Word > %filename%.DOC
If I want ONLY form data:(one-step process)
File > Save FORM DATA > FDF file format > %filename%.FDF
If I want both the form and the data: (two-step process)
File > Print to PDF > Save as %filename%.PDF
    Open %filename%.PDF > Export > Word Document
Is this the process? Pardon my confusion, but I am a newbie, and I do not have the program to test with.
Thanks for your help, kind sir.

For example, I have to copy the baseline date of a invoice (BSEG-ZFBDT) into the value date of a payment document (Bank position), or the assignment field of the invoice (BSEG-ZUONR) into the same field on the payment document.
    How I can do this?
