Payment Issue - Skype Number

Payment for my skype number was rejected as my old credit card information was saved in the system. Now I have updated the information but system is not making the transaction.
Help me! I want to retain my number

    As I understand the protocol, a pending payment will not be processed.  Please contact Skype Customer Service to be sure - and to request confirmation that the pending payment be cancelled.

  • Issued Skype number belongs to someone else

    I just paid for 3 months of Skype Number and the number they gave me already belongs to someone else. 
    How can I get a new number issued to me immediately?

    You will need to contact Skype Customer Service to resolve this; you may need to have this subscription cancelled and refunded, and take out a new Skype Number subscription.  We here in the Community do not have the tools to do this.

    Skype is aware there can be problems reaching their customer support unit via the website.  If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service, try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented. Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also impede reaching an agent.

  • Duplicate Payment for Skype Number?

    I subscribed for skype online number on 10/31/2014 . You charged my account on 11/03/2014 in the amount of $30.48. On the 12/31/2014 you charged my account again for $30.00 for the same number again. I called my bank that you are charging me twice for the same number. I disputed the second charged that was made in the amount of $30.00. Can you please explain why you charged me $30.48 0n 11/03/2014.

    To clarify: the $30.48 charge on October 31st 2014 was for renewal of your Unlimited US & Canada 12 months subscription.  The $30.00 charge on December 31st 2014 was for renewal of your Skype Number for a 12 month term.
    As you reported one of these charges as fraudulent,  you will need to contact Skype customer service to restore access to your account.  Any time a charge is reported as fraudulent and a credit card charge-back is processed, the Skype account will be suspended as an effort to eliminate future fraudulent charges.

  • Several payments for Skype number pending

    After buying an annual subscription for the US with PayPal I wanted to also buy a number. That failed several times for no reason. I switched to Visa and finally MasterCard. That is still pending after a day! However the payment does show in the sections for limits! How can that be and why do I not get access to my number then? Support, please look into this as I need the number up and running.

    Hi, Edokko, and welcome to the Community,
    As strange as it sounds, this is how to change the term of your Skype Number subscription:
    Cancel, yes; cancel, your current month-to-month Skype Number subscription.  This will prevent the month-to-month subscription from renewing.  You have use of the Skype Number until the last day of the subscription.
    Sign on to your account dashboard the next day or even the day of your current subscription's expiration, where you should be greeted with a triangle icon alerting you to reactivate your Skype Number.  Click on the link beside it, where you will be able to reinstate your subscription for a longer term.
    (Your Skype Number will be held on your account for 90 days after the month-to-month subscription ends.)

  • Skype number payment FAILED Due to change in debit...

    1.) My 3-month reoccuring billing cycle for Skype number: xxx xxx xxxx failed due to the debit card number changed.
    2.) I have deleted ALL other payment methods and inserted the current active card (ending in xxx xxxx but the xxxxxxxx  Swedish Krona owing has yet to be retreived and paid.
    3.) It appears my Skype number may be cancelled? I do NOT want to lose the use of this number!
    4.) Am quite upset that I can't speak or chat LIVE with a Skype representative!
    5.) How I use my Skype number: xxx xxx xxxx This is an L.A. Area Code, from which I receive incomming calls. I have a GOOGLE VOICE account, which I use for making ALL outgoing calls, I do NOT use Skype for this purpose (only incomming).
    6.) I appears my Skype number: xxx xxx xxxx is no longer working, as I attempted to call and test, but it just rang and didn't even get my voice mail?

    Please check first with the issuer of whatever payment method you used to ensure there are no issues on their side.  If you used a third party payment method such as PayPal, check with them, as well.
    Then, please contact Skype Customer Service to enquire if there are error messages or any other payment processing problems.

    I've paid for my monthly $2.99 for phone services which says it also comes with a skype number, but my number is telling me that I need to pay $18 and when I make calls it is some random number and I cannot recieve calls. Do I have to pay both seperately?

  • New Skype number payment pending

    I want to finalize my new Skype number. At point of payment I was asked to verify payment then next screen was an error message. Payment has been pending for 48hrs. I doubt this payment will finalize as the verify process didn't complete. i want my new number ASAP. Can I cancel pending payment and retry. I'm in a hurry as going overseas. Thanks

    Skype client version installed: 5.7.0.13054 I just purchassed a Skype number and it works for receiving calls on my mobile however i have some issues.1)In my profile it shows Skype Number as Inactive on the mobile app2)When i reject a call on the mobile app it will not go to voicemail, it just gives the engaged signal. (on the desktop version if i reject a call it goes to voicemail). IT WILL however go to voicemail on the mobile app if i let the call ring out. How i expect it to work:1) My skype number to show as active on the mobile app2) when rejecting a call using the mobile app it goes to voicemail 

    So the inactive number is fixed and i found out that on mobile apps when rejecting a skype call it will not go to voicemail only on the desktop version. This feature should be implemented.

    A friend initially subscribed to 3-months Skype number plan.  Now she would like to change to 1-year subscription.  However, there does not seem to be any option to do this.  The initial 3 months just passed and an automatic charge appeared on her payment card.  There does not seem to be any "modify" subscription option (not even a "cancel" subscription option).  There is no Skype/Microsoft support readily available.  This is very bad experience for her and it seems to be rather common issue.  I am actually surprised by this and have expected more from Skype/Microsoft.  Any ideas about how to change the subscription?

    As strange as this sounds, the short-term Skype Number contract needs to be cancelled.  When the subscription ends, the Skype Number is held in reserve for a period of 90 days, during which timeframe the number can be renewed for an annual term.
    If all else fails, please contact Skype customer service for further assistance.  I would report to Customer Service that the renewal e-mails were not received - after checking that the account's registered e-mail address is correct!  You would not believe the number of enquiries I read where a Skype account's registered e-mail address has fallen into disuse, not updated, and therefore resulting in no communications received from Skype.

  • USA skype number not working

    Have a toll free number purchased elsewhere and then purchased a skype USA number to have the calls forwarded to that.
    Skype number doesn't work.  Spent 3 hours with skype instant chat support 10 days ago and problem could not be resolved so it was "esacalated to a higher leverl" with NO time frame given for a resolution.
    A week later no resolution and no contact from skype so again spent another 2 hours on skype instant chat support and asked for a refund.  Was passed to another support person to get the refund but this person only wanted to go through the whole thing again until after an hour later I finally had to demand several times for a refund. 
    Was then told I could not have a refund but instead I could have a voucher to obtain another skype USA number for free.  Went through all the steps to obtain this number with the voucher but it didn't work.  Received an email to say here is your skype number (no number shown) and enjoy with family and friends.  Got back to skype support who was waiting and told her what happened. 
    Spent another hour on instant chat support and had to send screen shots to show that I was now being asked for another payment even though the voucher had been verified and accepted.
    Problem still could not be resolved and again I was told that my issue would be escalated to a higher level but NO time frame could be given.
    SKYPE!!!  You have got to be joking with me right?  Wrong!  Still no resolution and my customers have no way to contact me because the phone number doesn't work.  Losing money every day in lost sales to my business.
    Is there any skype support person out there who cares and can do something about this shoddy non-service?

    I an having the same issue. I have had my number for years and ported it out to a prepaid plan. After I forgot to reload the prepaid phone, it quickly canceled my plan and number.  When I searched Skype for a similar number, I was surprised to see my number back in the Skype Number Pool.  So I repurchased it and I didn't notice the problem until when I tried to port it back to Tmobile and after days of waiting and troubleshooting by Tmobile, they told me they couldn't get the number transferred because it's not my number and they said that the landline company who holds or owns or carries the number can't be reached. This has been going on for almost a year now. 
    After further research, I read that those phone number carriers who sell phone numbers in wholesale are called CLEC. There are only a handful of those companies.  I am don't know what to do and Skype can't help me either.  I really need to get this resolved. 
    If you were able to get your number working, please let me know.  The message that callers of my number get is this "you have reached THE non working number, announcement 1 4 switch 2 0 - 4".

    One possible reason why Skype Number does not work is "it already expired". Skype always send email notification on the primary email address of the account about the order confirmation, status of your account/subscription.
    I would suggest that you do the following to see the status of your Skype Number:
    1. Check the inbox of your primary email address on the account. Skype may have sent you an email notification about the status of your Skype Number.
    2. Log in to your account and see if the order for your Skype Number renewal has been delivered. When youlog in to your account in the website, go to Billing and Payments then click on Purchase History. You will see the status of your Online Number renewal, if you dont see the order as Delivered, that means the payment for your Skype Number was not successful.
    If you have any other concerns and questions about your Skype Number, I would suggest that you contact Skype Live Support for real time assistance:
