Payment Media Workbench - Singapore DBS Bank IDEAL payment format

Hello,
for Singpore SAP does not deliver any payment medium format.
Neither a classic payment medium programm (RFFO*) nor a PMW format.
We will have to pay using the IDEAL format from DBS (Development Bank of Singapore).
(I got a format descrition from them and the information that they are not able to accept any other format - like SWIFT MT101.)
My questions
Who is already doing an upload of a payment file to DBS using IDEAL format ?
Who knows how and where to get this format for PMW (best, but also RFFOSG_U would be appreciated) ?
Thanks in advance,
Sepp Mayer / Germany

Hello,
I am facing the same problem. Some news on this?

  • Payment media workbench & payment media Program

    Hi
I was actually referring to the Payment Processing configuration:
Creation of payment media using Payment Media Workbench (Alternative 1)
Creation of payment media using Classical Payment Medium program( Alternative 2)
Which approach will we be using ?  Does SAP Best Practices actually provides both options ? This will affect our config. for Check printing
    Please guide me
    Thanks & regards
    Roobal.

    Hello,
It depends on your business requirement and the client in which country they are continuing their operations.
SAP has created number of DME structure for example in case of payment medium. If you are referring to those countries use those DME structure otherwise create by using DMEE.
At the same time you can use the classic progrms in FBZP.
You can use either of these options accordingly to your requirement.
There is no best practice as such, it all depends on your business requirement.

  • Payment media workbench

    Dear guys
I had configured F110 program.. its working fine and generating doc as well. when i try to print out with paymen advice and pre-printed cheque using classic payment media
    i had done the following
    1. Paying company code level - SAP Cript form attachedm F110_PRENUM_CHCK
    2. Payment method at country level - payment method C - selected the roadi button classic payment media program - assign the RFFOEDI1 program over there
    3. Payemnt method at country level - Note payee - defined - FI-AR and FI-AP
    4. Payment method per company code - SAP script form attached - F110-PRENUM_CHck
    and
img-FA-AR/AP-BT-OP-AP-payment media- assign payment form in company code and assign payment media program in payment method in company code .. setting showing the same.
    and
I went to create variant for the program RFFOEDI1 and assign the variant in F110 - print / payment media tab
after all these setting...no data is selected

  • Payment Media Workbench APP

    Hi
Can any one tell me How does payment medium workbench differ from Classic payment medium programs?
Why should i use Payment Medium Workbench?
Will it help in creating Idocs.
    Regards
    Aravind

    Hi Aravind
The truth is that it is now possible to generate IDOCS with the Payment Medium Workbench, and you don't need EDI to do it anymore. You can generate either files or IDOCS with the Payment Medium Workbench.
I have been in contact with SAP the last couple of weeks on SAP marketplace. I logged an OSS incident for this requirement.
I told them that the functionality to generate IDOCS via the Payment Medium Workbench (PMW) already exists in the program SAPFPAYM; it is just not creating the IDOCS correctly (I debugged program SAPFPAYM to find the problem)
I sent SAP my analysis and explanation of why the IDOCS are not generating when the PMW is used, as well as a proposed solution on how to generate IDOCS from any PMW layout. It is actually quite easy to implement. SAP then decided to create a Consulting Note for this requirement, since the solution is so straightforward.
SAP is busy releasing the note to all of their clients currently, but they said it is going to take some time.
Needless to say, I am now able to generate an IDOC from any PMW file; even SWIFT files. The IDOCS can be viewed in transaction WE02.
The advantage is that you can implement any file layout in the Payment Medium Workbench, and then create an IDOC directly from the PMW file. The only catch is that you will have to implement a custom IDOC and populate the custom IDOC through the PMW event modules (Transaction OBPM3).
I am not using EDI (program RFFOEDI1), although it is also quite easy to configure it as well

  • PMW (Payment Medium Workbench) and needs to send Payment Advises to Vendor

    Hi SAP Gurus,
We are using PMW (Payment Medium Workbench) and our client needs to send Payment Advises through mail. After running F110 system should trigger mail to vendor for payment advise.
We have created one DME format and it's working fine.  DME file is getting generated when we assign DME format to our payment method.
we have also made the change for payment advice sending through email. Copy FM SAMPLE_PROCESS_00002040 to ZSAMPLE_PROCESS_00002040
    Go to transaction FIBF
Settingsprocess modules of an SAP application
    Add a new entry for 00002040 FI-FI ZSAMPLE_PROCESS_00002040
Make use of FM  ZSAMPLE_PROCESS_00002040  for adding vendor email address and make the payment medium.
Now the problem is, we can not do this in one go, if we need to create DME file than we have to assign DME format to our payment method and if we have to send payment advice to our vendor than we need to use Payment Medium Program RFFOGB_T (standard program).  It's radio button and we can not choose both the program and Payment Medium Workbench.
I need your valuable advice what need to be done in order to get DME file and payment advice send to vendor in one go.
    many thanks for your reply.

    SATVIR SINGH

    Hi Stavir,
Do you recall how were you able to resolve this issue?

  • Payment Media Run

    Hi Experts,
I'd like to know what are the pre requisites to successfully complete a Payment Media Run.
Upon executing / releasing a Payment Proposal from a "Payment Run" in the Payables WC, the relevant item is set to "Ready For Transfer" in the Payment Monitor.
I understand we could manually create a Remittance Advise and a Payment File [to be sent to the bank] and then manually "Set to in Transfer" from the Payment Monitor itself
    OR
we could use the "Payment Media Run" in Payment Management WC to do all of the above in one go.
What I would like to understand is what are the pre requisites [any config activities]
    1) For the creation of the Remittance Advise
    2) For the creation of the Bank Payment File
    Thanks
    Puru

    Hello Puru,
Please see the thread : Re: Not Working Payment Media Runs
First of all, Lets see what Payment run and payment Media run does and difference between them.
Payment run : This will propose the payments for the open items based on the due date , Total Balance of the business partner.
Payment media run will determine the payment for which system has to generate the files.
Payment media run will check for the below details in order to generate the file.
    1) Payment should be in status : "Ready for transfer"
    2) Payment file format should match with the file format entered as parameter (Which is mandatory field for the payment run).
So Payment Media run will not create any payments but it will only process the payments and generate the file.
    To answer your question
    1) For the creation of the Remittance Advise
A : In the master data of the business partner,Under the Financial data, Remittance Advice required checkbox should be ticked. Please see the screenshot for the same below.
    2) For the creation of the Bank Payment File
A : for the Bank transfers, Payment method , Check business configuration activity : Outgoing Bank Transfers
which will determine the Payment Medium format.
You will also need to set up the payment Medium format in the bank master data. You will find this under the Payment formats tab of the Bank.
Please check this and let me know if you need any further details. Close this thread if this resolves your issue.

  • What is required to receive iBook/app payments to a Singapore based publisher?

I'm a sole trader based in Singapore.
I'm looking to publish iBooks and Apps.
What are all the legal requirements of me to do that and receive payments to my Singapore personal bank account?
    thanks

    From Apple about book covers:
JPEG with “.jpg” extension (quality unconstrained) or PNG with “.png” extension
    RGB (screen standard)
600 pixels minimum along the larger axis. For an average trade paperback, this could be 400x600minimum size, as the books are generally taller than they are wide.
Covers may not reference pricing, the physical edition, or include any other wording that may notnecessarily be true for the digital edition.
Yes, a separate cover file is needed for display. My experience is if you have a cover for Amazon that is 600 px or greater on the longest side, you are fine with Apple.
Step back and take a breath. We all go through this the first time.

  • Control printout and generate payment media

we have two F110 run id, one is for payment method: T, if I click payment run, there are two checkbox, one is "start immediately", the other is at the bottom " Generate payment media".
the other F110 run for payment method check, if I click payment run, only one chekbox "start immediately" is availble, but "generate payment media" checkbox is missing, anyone knows how to bring "generate payment media" back?
the second issue is "printout" button, currently if we click printout, DME is generated, I want : when we click "printout", only payment advice will be generated, is it possible? any T-code to control this, thanks

Check the difference between 2 payment run cases.
In one of the cases in the output control for e.g. RFFOEDI1 you must have mentioned a variant name.
Hence the generate payment medium box is coming.
In other cases none is mentioned and no variant is maintained hence no box is coming.
    Check and reply.

  • Payment medium workbench vs. payment media program.

    Dear Friends,
Anybody have idea about the Pro's and Con's for "Payment medium workbench" vs. "payment media program".
    Regards
    Rupesh

    Hi,
There is no disadvantage by using PMW.
I repeat it is a tool for which we can create the file format as per our requirements.
You will create the file format in t.code DMEE.
You can create different format files for each payment method with a variant defined.
The user can decide on the layout of the note to payee, and select differing notes to payee according to origin (vendors, customers, personnel, travel expenses, Treasury, online payments.
There is no technical knowledge required to use this tool.
Please refer below documentation for more.

  • Payment advice sent by e-mail, payment media file to be created before

    dear all
We have implemented e-mail as a way of sending out the payment advices automatically to suppliers.
Currently we execute the payment run, generate the payment media (which at the same time creates the payment advices and sends them out by e-mail) and then we import the file into our bank system, where payments have to be approved by a finance manager.
We occasionally have the problem that the payments are not approved on the banking system on time - however the payment advices have already be sent by e-mail because the printout program does it at the same time as the payment file is created. Previously, because the payment notes were sent by post, we only sent them out after confirming that the payments had been actually executed in the banking system.
What the finance department is asking for is whether the payment advices can be sent by e-mail only after the payments have been approved at the bank (and for this to happen the payment file has to be generated in a previous step) - Is there any way of achieving this?
    thank you

    Hi Rafael,
For this you will have to do the following.
Frist check with the ABAPer that whether there is any std. Program or function module in the system that can sends mail.
    1) With the help of ABAPer create a SAP Script form as per the requirements of Client as Payment Advice.
    2) Do the Configuration required for the Correspondence.
    3) You will have to develope a Z program or functionmodule to shoot mail as soon as the APP is completed. This you will have to do with the help of ABAper.
    4) Last but not the least you wil haveto maintain the email addresses of the vendors in their master record.

    Hello,
SAP has provided some of the DME structures for different countries. like GB_BACS for GB etc.
If your client is not part of those structure, probably you are required to create your own structure. It also depends on the bank of your client. They may want the file in a different format. Therefore, you need to first talk to the bank and get a sample file in which they need the format.
You can create the DME structure by using transaction code DMEE - Tree Type is PAYM.
You can create the DME structure as a flat file or XML file based on the requirement of your client (bank).
You can also copy the standard structure to Z structure and modify it according to your requirements.
Please also make sure that you have made settings in OBPM1, OBPM2, OBPM3 and OBPM4 (More importantly you should maintain the path where it needs to be downloaded)
Take help of basis consultant in order to create the directories. You can see the directories in AL11.
If there are no directory path maintained in OBPM4, then the file gets saved to temporary directory in AL11.

  • How to process Customer format parameters with Payment Medium Workbench

    Hi
I have one bank transfer scenario PC00_M99_FPAYM requiring supplying a payment using the French format FR_ETEBAC_CRT_DOM but the execution date of the bank transfer should be replaced by the banku2019s value date. I planned to enter this required date using the Customer format parameters when running PMW.
The issue I tried to solve is described here below.
How to extract the Customer format parameters assigned to the payment medium format FR_ETEBAC_VRT_DOM when processed by the Payment medium Workbench in order to fill the Customer specific user-defined fields (ZREF01 to ZREF10 in structure FPAYHX)?
I noticed the event type 06 authorizes function modules similar like FI_PAYMEDIUM_SAMPLE_06 but the customer format parameters are only available at low level in function module FI_PAYM_MEDIUM_OPEN (example gc_format_params_c)
Can someone help on this matter?  That would be great.
    Thanks in advance,
    Henri.

Just sharing my findings and proposed solution.
    This worked
The expected date is the value date/payee's bank.
This date is created by the bank transfer program prior to be processed by Payment Medium Creation Tool (SAPFPAYM)
According to functional investigation it sounds like the bank transfer program does not allow working with the value date/payee's bank.
The investigation has been done in the Payment Medium Creation Tool. It allows adding the required value date/payee's bank into a customer format parameter.
    Required configuration and development:
    - Clone the current sap format FR_ETEBAC_VRT-DOM into a new Customized format ZFR_ETEBAC_VRT-DOM
    - Clone the corresponding DMEE object FR_ETEBAC_VRT-DOM into a new DMEE object tree type PAYM ZFR_ETEBAC_VRT-DOM
    - Create a new data structure: ZFR_Bank_Transfer with field CRVAL Value Date at Payee's Bank (comp type PRQ_CRVAL)
    - Assign customer structure ZFR_Bank_Transfer to payment format ZFR_ETEBAC_VRT-DOM and declare field CRVAL as required field
    - Build function module ZFI_PAYMEDIUM_06_FR in charge to extract value date/payee's bank from the customer structure and move it to the customer specific user-defined field ES_FPAYHX_CREF-ZREF01
    -  in new DMEE object tree type PAYM ZFR_ETEBAC_VRT-DOM Replace Source field FPAYH-ZALDT by FPAYHX-ZREF01 in the header record

  • Printing Payment Advice and Payment Media for Manual Payments

    Hello Gurus,
In my company, we process very few invoices in a day and we have opted for manual payment of invoices. When this payment is done, I will like to print both the payment media and payment advice for the manual payments that have been done for vendor invoices. Does anybody have an idea how I can go about this? Thanks in advance for your help.
    Cheers

To print payment advices and payment media you can use transaction F-58. When you enter your bank details and printer details make sure you enter printer name for both the payment media and payment advices. Then it will print both.
    Hope this helps.

  • Error message: Banking - Incoming Payments - Incoming Payments

    Hi, Experts,
When I was trying to post a deposit (for an A/R Invoice) to the bank account. I click  'Banking - Incoming Payments - Incoming Payments'. But there is a error message saying 'Linking primary sales accounts has not been completed'.
How to fix this problems? Thanks!
    Lorrie

    Hi,
Check Note No. 871509 if the same applies to your case.
Request you to kindly check the following :
    1. First define revenue account under administration->setup- >financial   ->G/L account determination -> sales tab and check whether the issue was solved or not.
    2. if the error still exists after step 1, you have to define all the
other accounts that you have not defined previously. Then your
       issue might be resolved.
Even if there are no bookings to go on a primary sales or purchase account, an account must be defined for SBO to work. Ideally, ALL sales, purchase and tax accounts should be defined. Once the account code is entered, the error message disappears and SBO works normally.
Other possibility is that one of your primary accounts is defined
    as "confidential". (sales/purchase/Cash etc..)
    Hope it helps.
    Regards,
    Jitin

  • Payment Med Workbench and MT103

    Dear All
I configured the autopyment with PMW & MT103 format, as this is my bank requirement ( HSBC-Saudi). System is creating the outfile in the MT103 Format.
But one of the TAG which one is "72" is not system generting in the output. This is required for Bank.
    Kindly Advise

    Hi,
Payment media format MT103 does not have tag 72. That is why you are not able to see them.
The last few tags that are generated by MT103 format are
    Field 70 (details of payment)
    Field 71A (details of charges)
    Fill field 77B (Regulatory Reporting)
If format MT100 suits in this case then you can use this. Format MT100 does have tag 72
Fill field 72 (sender to receiver information - payment instructions)
