Payment of foreign currency invoice in local currency

Hi all,
PO is created in USD and thereafter GR and IR done.  The payment of this invoice has to be done in
local currency RUB.  In invoice the currency field is not open for change and hence payment in
local currency cannot be generated.   How to make payment of USD invoice in RUB ?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Sadashivan

Dear Experts,
We have a strange case, and requesting the SAP behaviour for this case.
The document (Invoice posted) in "SDR" special Dinar Rate (not standard currency), and the Local Currency is BHD - Bahraini Dinar, and wanted to pay in Foreign Currency in "EUR". mainted the payment currency in the document.
As far as I know system will check exchange rates for conversion from SDR - BHD and then BHD - EUR, so maintaining these two combinations are enough.
But strangely I am getting error while processing F110 automatic payment program, system is giving error "Enter the Rate EUR/SDR rate type M for 04.08.2010 in the system". Message No. SG - 105
I am facing this error after we upgraded to ECC 6.0 from ERP 4.7 in March 2010.  Paying in EUR is rarely happens.
Awaiting your kind reply.

Francis

  • Paying Foreign Currency Invoice with Functional Currency

    Hi,
    Can anyone advise if I am able to pay a foreign currency invoice
    using functional currency in AP? Eg. if my functional currency
    is USD and invoice is in GBP, how can I pay in USD against the
    GBP invoice? Thank you and God bless you.

    Most versions of Oracle Financial system, allows the payment of
    Foreign Currency invoices in functional currency. If you tried
    to pay the Foreign Currency invoices in functional currency, and
    if you got error it could be due to of different reasons.
    One very common reason, is the lack of (refer currency
    conversion rate set up if you are not familiar) of a conversion
    rate in the date range of the invoice.

  • Report showing GL Accounts with  document posted in currency other than local currency

    We need a report that shows all the GL Accounts that had a document posted in currency other than local currency during the month. The purpose of such a report is that we should not miss any Foreign Currency Gain or Loss at the end of the month.
    Is there such a report already in Standard SAP ? Please let me know. Points guaranteed.

    Hi Ajay sir,
    It's never be a bad idea. But I think Rajeev might be looking for a stright report than work around, which is not available.

  • Can't drag the currency key in local currency to the pool of fields not use

    Hi everyone,
    Hopefully you can enlighten me with this issue coz im trying to drag the currency key in local currency to the pool of fields not used (UCWB<Data Model<Data Basis<Data Model(TAB)) but nothing happened, i can't transfer it to the pool of fields not used.
    Note:I came with this decision(transferring the currency key in local currency to the pool of fields not used ) because SAP prompt me with this:
    The currency key in local currency is not required in the data basis. It is merely an implicit part of the data model
    I really dont have any idea why i can't drag it to the pool of filed not used, i tried to look for some sap notes but i can't find one.
    thanks in advance

    Hi Dan,
    Actually it is not really an error, i just would like to pattern the configuration of our newly upgraded BI server  to our BW server.
    In our BW server, the currency key in local currency is mapped to the pool of fields not used. I can't seem to do the same in the BI server because everytime I try to drag the currency key in local currency to the pool of fields not used, nothing happens, it isn't mapped.

  • Invoice in local currency Clearing in Foreign currency

    Hi,
    Is it possible to clear the invoice in foreign currency which is originally posted in Local currency.
    regards
    Stefen

    Yes, but if the Local currency amounts do not match,then you will have to either:-
         a) Write off the differance as a "Discount"
         b) Manually add another posting line, to post the difference to the Exchange difference accounts.
    a) is easier, but b) is correct from an accounting view.

  • How to pay a forign currency invoice in another currency payment in R12

    Hi,
    I have Oracle R12.06.
    How to allow cross currency payment, for example :
    I have an invoice in USD , i need to make an payment for that Invoice in EUR or any other currency sometimes functional currency.
    I already check the allow Multiple currency Payment for all bank accounts and also allow multiple currency in Payable options ,BUT I still not allowed to pay any invoice in different currency.
    Regards.

    Please note the following in respect of payment in foriegn currency other than the functional currency:
    Invoice and Payment Currency.
    Payment Region – Type - If the Payment Currency is different from the Invoice Currency and both are fixed-rate currencies, Payables displays EMU Fixed. If the invoice and payment currencies are the same, you cannot enter a value in this field.
    If the payment currency is different from your functional currency, enter exchange rate information in the Payment Rate field.
    You can pay invoices in a different currency only if the currencies are related fixed-rate currencies – EURO BASED CURRENCIES
    In all the other circumstances other than above the invoice currency and payment currency has to be the same.
    They cannot be different,
    Hope this helps.

  • Invoicing in local currency

    Hello experts,
    we have a sales office in Romania. Sales orders are created both in currency EURO and in RON. But invoicing must always be done in the local currency (=RON new romanian leu).
    Is there a possibility to create an invoice in the local currency (RON) when the sales order was created in EURO?

    thanks for your reply.
    As far as I know transaction OB08 is only for maintaining exchange rates.
    The exchange rate from EURO to RON is maintained and that works fine.
    We want want is to create the salesorder (VA01) in document currency EURO, when the order is delivered we want to create the invoice of this order in RON.
    Any ideas?

  • Generating Invoice in Local Currency in Multicurrency T&M Project

    Hi Dina/Experts,
    Due to some recent changes in local laws of a country they have restricted invoicing in USD. As per practice all Labor invoices used be generated in USD for this country while all Expense invoices were generated in Local Currency. All invoices have to be created and sent to the customers in Local Currency of that country going forward. Unfortunately I have to generated invoices in some existing Multicurrency 'Time & Material' Projects here. Therefore my question is without tampering with the bill rates which have been updated in the Project in USD at the time of Project Setup is there any way we can generate Invoices from the Project Accounting system in Local Currency?
    EBS R12.1.3
    Projects module
    Thanks,
    PC

    Hi
    You could setup additional bill rate schedule in the local currency.
    Then you need to assign that schedule to the T&M projects.
    Alternative method would be to develop  logic within Labor Billing Extension, where the system will calculate the local currency bill rate by converting the USD rate at the proper exchange rate.

  • Parallel currencies - alternative to local currency changeover to euro??

    I would like to know if there are any alternatives to local currency changeover to euro?
    Estonia will start using euro 1 January 2011 and we are helping an estonian company investigating alternativs to the euro changeover in SAP. I know that SAP has programs that can mange the conversion/changeover, but I would like to know the alternatives.
    The company uses 2 parallel currencies today. The company code currency EEK (10) is the first local currency, the group currency (SEK) is the second local currency.
    Is is possible to use the functionality of parallel currencies in OB22 in this case and set the EUR as hard currency (currency type 40)? Can this be done for a company already in production? Will we be able to see profit- and loss statements and balance sheets from day 1 after we have activated the new currency. Any problems with opens items?
    Are the any other alternatives?
    Could one stategy be to start at new company code with EUR as company code currency? I realize we have to copy the configuration and masterdata and transfer the balaces to the new company code. What other problems do you see with this alternative?

    Hi Paul,
    There is no dual currency phase, I mean not in SAP (there is a mandatory dual pricing period from july 2008 to december 2009).
    As of 01.01.2009, SKK will be replaced by EUR.
    The swithover can be carried out as soon as the 2008 fiscal year books closing will be done in SAP.
    Hope this helps.

  • Amount in document currency and amount local currency in F-65

    hi everybody
    im doing a functional spec whereby we are getting a text file which contains data for tcode F-65
    Im wondering if we can transfer amount in document currency and amount in local currency data by writing a program or we have to transfer only amount in document currency and SAP calculates amount in local currency
    plz advise

    i know that
    but the users dont want SAP to convert the document amount, you see
    they want the data uploaded to appear on the screen i.e.
    if document amount is 5000 and local amount is 3500 in the file, they want these values to be uploaded
    and not that document amount 5000 is uploaded and the local amount is calculated by SAP

    Hi Sayeed,
    As far as I know we don't need to maintain the direct relationship between SDR vs EUR as the system logic for currency conversion is from Document currency to Local currency and Local currency to Payment currency.
    We hadn't had such issue before, we are facing after we upgrade to ECC 6.0.
    Please refer to this note, I guess it is a bug in program. Refer Note: 1413445.

  • In Journal can i specify the Foreign currency  and local currency amount?

    In Journal Entry can i specify the Foreign currency amount and local currency amount?
    I tried the following code it is working fine using DIAPI.
    Here the Local currency and the System currency is SGD. And the Journal is for USD.
    oJnl.Lines.FCDebit = 120.10
    oJnl.Lines.FCCredit = 0
    oJnl.Lines.FCCurrency = "USD"
    oJnl.Lines.Debit = 120.10
    oJnl.Lines.Credit = 0
    oJnl.Lines.Add()
    oJnl.Lines.FCDebit = 0
    oJnl.Lines.FCCredit = 120.10
    oJnl.Lines.FCCurrency = "USD"
    oJnl.Lines.Debit = 0
    oJnl.Lines.Credit = 120.10
    oJnl.Add()
    But, the above way of doing is not working if i pass this Journal through B1.
    B1 is not allowing to change the local currency amount, Local currency amount is automatically calculated based on the FC amount and the Exchange rate.
    So Can i use the DIAPI to do this? is this right to do?

    Solved.
    In Journal Entry window, please kindly go to Form Settings/Document/
    Table tab page/ Convert Amounts According to Rate upon Exit:
    Clear the checkboxes 'From LC Field' & 'From FC Field', then the Local
    currency amount will not be automatically calculated based on the FC
    amount and the Exchange rate.
