Payment Terms fetch Issue(Plant Level) @ SRM 7.0

Hello Experts,
We are currently implementing SRM 7.0 system(Classical Scenario) across regions. In one such scenario we found out that when we create a PO directly in SRM the Payment Terms is fetched correctly from the Vendor Master at Plant Level(Bypassing the Purch Org Level data, since Standard SAP looks for plant specific data & the same has been implemented in SRM by enahancing the BADI BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI (Implementation ZBBP_DOC_CHANGE_PO ,Method :- BBP_PO_CHANGE using a Custom FM with SQL Query on LFM2)
However when a PO is ordered via the Shopping Cart method, the payment term is fetched at Purch org level, even though we have an Alternative Data(at Plant level) in R/3.
The Header & Item Level Data are the same.for both the PO's. Can someone please give some pointers on fixing this issue. As we know from SAP,fetching Plant related Payment Term into SRM is not a SAP Standard Feature & thus a custom logic was implemented.Payment Term Table(BBP_PAYTERM) is updated with the latest data with all Payment Term translations maintained in R/3.
Awaiting your suggestions.
Thanks,

  • Payment term Field at header level

    Hello
my requirment is while creating sale order the payment term field at header level should be in display mode. or not shown while creating sale order. doesnot want to maintain user exit. or anyone have knowledge of field (of payment term ZTERM ) object ?
    Regards

    Dear Mr. M Yasir Dogar,
To this requirement as Lakhsmi says, to make the Payment term in display mode, without user exit you can do with Tansaction variant SHD0. It actually make a view sort of control.
    Steps:
    Run T CODE: SHD0
    Transaction         VA01
    Variant                ZVA01_VARIANT
    create a sales order.
during the process system, records all the details of object involved in the sales order creation.
and it records with the screen number as variant name.
After execution go to details, Go to
    Name of screen variant:  ZVA01_VARIANT_4440
and in Payment terms VBKD-ZTERM, select Output only (means it will only display the data from master) and others option also will be there like * Invisible, Required.*
    Select the appropriate one.
Along with this activity,in the authorization - profile the Variant should be assign to the USERS having T CODE : VA01. This can be done by the Basis team.
We did similar to control the manual entry of Payment terms.

  • Payment Term/BP on the level of Charge type in FWO

According to business process I have 2 variants of payment term  for transportation with payer:
    1)      Prepaid (paid by Agency1(Payer1) in POL port of Loading)
    2)      Collect (paid by Agency2(Payer2) in POD port of discharge)
    3)      Today customer has  a requirement to issue several settlements from one FWO to different business partners on the level of  charge type.
    Example:
    BP Role: Payer
    BP : Payer 1
Payment term: will pay with term prepaid:
Charge type1 - NTFR (Net Ocean Freight)
Charge type2 - BAF (Bunker Adjustment Factor)
    BP Role: Payer
    BP : Payer 2
Payment term: will pay with term collect:
    Charge type3 - DTHC
The problem is how to  combine several terms(prepaid/collect/direct) with several BP Roles(Payer)/BP(Payer1/Payer2)on the level of charge type(service) in FWO.
From the fisrt sight this case could be some way covered by standard on 9.1 functionality of «Charge type activation based on incoterm».
But at the same time we some issues with this standard solution, because we need to split payer and term not only for the whole stage, but also for different charges in one stage. An example of this could be port to port transportation without any pre-carriage or on-carriage, but with OTHC/DTHC that could be paid in any term(P/C) separately by the appropriate agent in POL or POD. At the same time all the transportation costs will be associated only with one stage of transportation.
Do anybody has an idea how to split payment term deeper than level of stage?

    Hi,
You can use the "Flexible Settlement" function in TM9.1.
Assign the charge types to settlement group.
Assign the settlement group to settlement rule.
Assign the settlement rule to settlement profile.

  • Seperate Inco Terms on at Plant level

    Hi
I am new to this forum and I need your help to find out if there are any quick solution to my below issue. Our business has a requirement where there would be a new plant rolled-out under the same company code but having a different delivery address so for any external purchasing from Vendors, they are suggesting we have a new Purchase Organisation in order to in-corporate a seperate Inco-terms so it would appear on the PO print. I am not sure if this is the correct solution as because that would be lot of work in terms of Master data creation, etc. Instead I proposed we could maintain Inco-terms at Plant level in the PIR's so that would be picked on the PO output. But since we also have A/c assigned PO's and other Service items for which there are no PIR's, how can we handle this situation? Obviously for these orders, the Inco terms are getting picked from the Vendor Master. And I am sure this is not a unique problem as anyone will have the same issue!!
Could you please tell me if there is any better solution or any user exit which solely handle these type of situations? We are on ECC 6.0 btw.
    Thanks in advance
    Cath

    Hi Ajit / Jurgen
Your valuable answers pointed me to the right direction, many thanks for that!! When we wish to raise a PO with A/C assignment (free text items) or for service items, the concept of Inco terms does not arise. So in these cases, the Alternative data in the Purchasing view of Vendor Master really helps to have different sets of data with the plant combinations. So when I maintained different Inco terms for two seperate plants for the same Vendor (even though he is with different Company Codes!), I could able to create two PO's with outputs showing different Inco terms. So this test proves what I am aiming for and clear any confusions (I am talking about me
    Thanks once again guys

  • Payment terms configuration issue

    Hi All,
I have a requirement of configuring the following AR payment terms in the system
    1) 50% payment due in advance 50% due 45 days from Invoice Date
    2) Payment in advance
In OME2 how to configure the above terms for no. 1  , should i use the installlment option in while config...
Please provide me detail steps for config and also let me know how to take care Advance payment part.. We dont have customer down payment option in the project scope..
    Regards,
    Sandip

    Sandip,
I understand you have to configure two payment terms.
    1. 50% advance and 50% at 45 days from invoice date - this can be handled through instalment option and the percentage can also be fed there.  but 50% advance can be handled only through downpayment option.  A workaround is to set 'pay immediately '0 days' at the payment term instalment level and then knock it off with the downpayment document, later.
    2. Advance payment - can be handled only through Down payment option in SAP.
    Thanks

  • Payment  Terms Authorization Issue

    Hi All,
We have set business partner master as read only to all our users except one.
In Purchase log in , the user needs to change payment terms. So , we set Payment terms right as full authorization but still the problem persists. After setting Business Partner Master As Full authorization instead of Read Only the problem solved.
But , we do not want this.
Is there any workaround for this ?
    Thanks
    Malhaar

    Hi Datta,
Payment terms right comes in System Administration - Setup - Business Partner.
As you said it is not present individually under Purchase.
If i've overlooked anything please help me.
    We are on SAP 8.8
    Thanks

  • Payment Term Requirement Issue

    Hi,
If i create the invoice today, i need to do the payment on either 15th or 30th of after 2 months.
Example: Invoice Date - 15-10-2010.  But the payment due date should be either on 15th of December or 30th of December.
How can i create this payment term with the above 2 conditions? Kindly help me
    Thanks
    KC

    Hi,
in OBB8 you can use the Day limit field for this request.
Just use eg. for payment term Z001 - 15           : 2  additional month
                                and               Z001- 30            : 2 additional month
    SAP help:
    Day Limit
Day of the month up until which the corresponding terms are valid.
    Use
For terms of payment which depend on whether or not the baseline date is after or before the 15th of the month, you can define a two-part payment term under the same terms of payment key. The terms of payment key is expanded by the day limit entered here. Thus there are two entries in which different terms can be specified.
    Example
The following terms of payment require you to enter a day limit:
Documents with an invoice date on or before the 15th of the month are payable on the last day of the next month
Documents with an invoice date after the 15th of the month are payable on the 15th of the month after the next month.

  • Payment terms by plant.

    Hi sap gurus!
I have diferents payment terms for each plant, when I do a purchase order, I want to get payment terms from the inforecord, but in info records payment terms don´t exist, ¿Is there an enhancement or a SAP note in order to be able to add the payment terms to inforecords?
    Thanks.

    Hello fhernandoz,
I do not see this is the actual business case. Generally one vendor would have agrred to terms and condition with the purchase organization and then it remains same across all the plants under that organization so as per system it is not possible to have this.
    Please explain your business requirement.
You can write user exit like maintain one table for the combination of vendor and plant (can add pur org also)... to populate payment term from that table everytime you create PO. In PO create BAPI you can add that user exit.
    Revert if any further query.
    Thanks And Regards,

  • How to default payment term from Site level

    Hi All,
When creating an Order, the payment terms are defaulting from the defined defaulting rules.
As per the defaulting rules, it is supposed to pick as following seq..
    1 Related Record - Invoice To.Payment term
    2 Related Record - Ship To.Payment term
    3 Related Record - Customer.Payment term
    4 Constant Value - TBD
Now, as per the rule, it is picking the Payment term from Invoice to level. If there is none defined then it is picking from the Customer level as we never define at Ship To level.
Now my question, is there any way we can implement to pick the Payment term from the Site level when Invoice To payment term is not defined.
Please let me know if any additional info is required.
    Thanks.

  • Payment Terms at Different Levels

    Hi All,
To my understanding, at present, the process of populating the payment terms is as follows:
    1. Payment terms are defined at Supplier/Supplier Site level.
    2. Contract PO is created and during the creation, it takes the default payment terms at Supplier / Supplier Site level based on the priority.
    3. Now, all the standard purchase orders that get created take the payment terms defined at Contract PO if we reference this Contract PO.
    Now my question is
What if the payment terms at Supplier/ Supplier site level gets changed???
The same will not get applied to Contract PO and the new Standard POs continue to take up the payment terms defined at Contract POs.
This scenario is creating the confusion to me.
Can anyone explain the scenario and let me know the way to get Contract PO payment terms get sync with corresponding Supplier/ Supplier site leve payment terms.

    Hi:
Supplier and supplier site values are used to get defaulted to various document level (PO, Invoices, Payments etc) and changing at document/transactional level does not change the values at Master level. So in your case, you need to change the payment term at contract PO level and supplier/site level separately.

  • Linking Payment term at Purch org and CC level

    Hi,
Is there any way where the Payment Terms at the company code will always be set to whatever value is at the PORG Level in Vendor Master data?

    Hi,
I guess you didnt understand my questions.
I know I can change payment term under purch org. What I am saying i want to link both the payment term. If I change payment term at purch org level it should get automatically changed or populatd at company code level
is there any way to do such a thing

  • MIRO- Payment terms change could not be done

    Hi All
During invoice posting (MIRO) system could not accept changed payment terms and issue warning massage F5123 (Terms of payment changed; Check), upon confirmation of warning massage, system reset payment terms to privious pay term assigned to PO / Vendor.
Any idea how to change pay terms at the time of invoice posting?
    Regards
    Aamir

    Hi,
Even the standard SAP help confirms that it is possible to change the payment terms
<b>Regardless of whether or not a key is defaulted from the master record, you can manually enter a key during document entry at:
    item level in sales orders
header level in purchase orders and invoices</b>
So I would check to see if someone has modified the program or used a user exit?
