Hi,
The solution referred to above (OBB8, choose languages, translate) updates the 'Own explanation' of the paymen term', in table T052U. And probably that covers your requirement completely.
However, the 'Sales text' of the payment terms is in table TVZBT, and cannot be translated in the above way.
I had a requirement to have the 'Sales  text' of the payment term also in different languages.
Rather than logging on in each separate language and maintain the 'Sales text' in OBB8, we updated table TVZBT directly with SE16N, and transported the entries through the landscape.
Not quite the standard way, but it works just fine.

Rob

  • Payment terms for different products from a single vendor

    Hi Pundits,
Our client has a requirement to assign different payment terms for different products. Each product he buys from his vendor has it's own payment terms. He wants us to customize in such a way that when he/user enters the invoice, not only the vendor number is shown along with the product name but also the payment terms for that particular product are calculated.
I know that only one payment term can be assigned in the vendor master data. Is there anyway to get around this?
Creating the same vendor multiple times and assign payment terms looks a possible option but that looks quite hectic cause he has close to 1000 payment terms.

Taurian, thank you for that suggestion!
I can maintain as many existing payment terms as the client has with his vendors and let him choose the payment terms at the time of invoice entry.
The only problem is that he might have to change it according to the current market rates for that product. So maintaining any payment term is of little use.

  • Payment terms in different langauage

    Dear Gurus
I  have created a new payment term in English, it needs to be extended in other languages and then transported to other clients.
I can update the tables entries in transport  request itself, but not sure which table I need to pick.
    Regards,
    Neeraj Srivastava

    HI Neeraj,
    There is a simpler way..
Just got to transaction OBB8 and there is an aoption for transalation.
Enter tour description there and the you can transport to other clients in the language you have mentioned in translation.
    Thanks in advance

  • Payment terms in french language

    Dear Experts,
I have company code in France and language of that company is French , can any one help me to understand how to make the payment terms description in French language

    Hi,
Go to OBB8 for this payment term, and in menu path, go to / translation. Write it and save.
Other question is where you want to see it in language. If you are talking about reports, forms (invoices, state of account,...) check it with an ABAPer.
Check the entries of texts in table T052U
    Regards

  • Create a new payment term in another language apart from english

    Hello,
Can you please let me know how do  I create a new payment term other than English.
Unfortunately, I cannot maintain them in T052U using SE16 either . I also tried with SE 63, it is showing  an error -  no suitable object found.
    Thanks
    SM

    Hi,
Let me elaborate so that you can close this thread.
You log into the system in EN.  If your system is unicode, then you will be able to enter the text in any language you wish.  Lets say you maintain it in Chinese.  Now when a user logs in in English, he will be able to see the text in only Chinese.
However, if you have Chinese installed as a language; i.e. a user can log into the system in Chinese and see everything and transact in Chinese, then when he tries to select this payment term, he will not be able to see the text for this payment term as this is one of the few customising areas in SAP where a master text is maintained in the logon language and at times results in errors if not maintained.
This has been done to make the master table structure less complex.  Some similar examples are, document types, posting keys etc.
    Cheers.

  • Payment Terms conditions differing

    Hi,
I am using a Payment term for several vendors which originally has payment due date condition as :"Within 30 days Due net". But when i posted an invoice, the invoice got blocked with Payment block "R".  When i released the Payment block R, the payment due date condition automatically changed from 30 days to 54 days. i could see the same through Document changes via t code fb04.
I then had to manually change it to the correct days/percent. The payment due date got corrected to 30 days after that But my question is why such thing happened? Days/Percent was originally in 30 days when it was header but when WF-Batch post the document is has been changed to 54 days.
    Regards,
    Priyank

    Hi Pryianka and Wojtek,
I too had this issue with the WF-BATCH userID making changes to the Payment due date on release.
It was identified to be an issue with the workflow.
I would recommend that you have a look at the workflow step that releases the invoice.
It will most likely call the following function module:  'BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_RELEASE'
This function module has an input parameter called: "discount_shift", if an 'X' is passed it will introduce offset days based on the baseline due date and the release date.
This calculation is done via function module: MRM_OFFSET_BASELINE_DATE
All I did was just replace the input parameter with a space (' ') instead of an 'X' and this resolved the problem.
    Thanks, Bruno

  • Payment Terms at Different Levels

    Hi All,
To my understanding, at present, the process of populating the payment terms is as follows:
    1. Payment terms are defined at Supplier/Supplier Site level.
    2. Contract PO is created and during the creation, it takes the default payment terms at Supplier / Supplier Site level based on the priority.
    3. Now, all the standard purchase orders that get created take the payment terms defined at Contract PO if we reference this Contract PO.
    Now my question is
What if the payment terms at Supplier/ Supplier site level gets changed???
The same will not get applied to Contract PO and the new Standard POs continue to take up the payment terms defined at Contract POs.
This scenario is creating the confusion to me.
Can anyone explain the scenario and let me know the way to get Contract PO payment terms get sync with corresponding Supplier/ Supplier site leve payment terms.

    Hi:
Supplier and supplier site values are used to get defaulted to various document level (PO, Invoices, Payments etc) and changing at document/transactional level does not change the values at Master level. So in your case, you need to change the payment term at contract PO level and supplier/site level separately.

  • Multiple payment term with different day limit

We have three payment terms with multiple day limit. for example: ED11 (day limit 10),  ED11 (25 day limit) and ED11 (32 days).
User enter just ED11 but i dont understand how system understand which out of the three is the require payment term.
Users feel that due date calculated is wrong. In most case it calculate the due date exactly based on the days mentioned in the payment term. In all cases, days mentioned are 90 days.
In one case, due date if it is (just 90 days) 30/04 but user feels it should be 10th May in the following (obviously he is reffering to ED11 daylimit 10). In this case, SAP calculate 90 days. Is it because of too many payment terms which same name.
    Best,
    Bala

    Hi,
Please go and check the following path.If teh user wants no. of days as 10, then it should be maintained as 10 in the no. of days field in Payment terms. I think in your case it may be maintained as 90.
IMG->Finacial Accounting->General Ledger Accounting->Accounts Receivable and accounts Payable->Business Transactions->Outgoing Invoices/Credit memos->Maintain Terms of Payment->Check No. of days in Payment terms.
Assign points if u consider this to be useful.
    Thanks,

  • How to maintain payment term descriptioin in other languages in TVZBT table

    Hi all,
i have to maintain the payment terms in different language.
For that, i am updating the table TVZBT by using TCODE SE63 in development sys.
it has not asked any change request.but table is updated . so i can not move the changes to production.
please tell me is there any other solution or directly same way update the table in production

If you are using version 4.6C there are settings to be made within SE63 in the menu Goto -> Administration -> transport settings.
Check to see the Recd method field to see if the option says 'No recording'.
If it is ok, then you can see the transport request in the Requests menu from this screen.
    Thanks

  • Single invoice for multiple payment terms

    Hi Friends,
I have given 2 different payment terms for 2 line items in single order and the billing is splitted due to this reason. I want to know where the system is checking this control. Because I want to create single Invoive even the payment terms are different. (The routine 003 under Data VBRK/VBRP in SO to Bill copy controls will be usefull only to create single Invoice for multiple SO's where the payment terms is same). But I need to create single Invoice even for multiple payment terms.
Can anyone suggest me at the earliest please.
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
The Billing Split is take care at Copy control level.
For multiple line items in one single SO, with different Payment terms is not acceptable as per the  business logic and its not best practices.
Please suggest the business to go on Split method only.
    Or
Try to use Proforma Invoice Concept.

  • Credit memo payment term

    hi,
in customer master, what is credit memo payment term?
what is the difference between credit memo payment term and terms of payment.
i read from F1 but still can't get it.
    thanks
    rgds

    HI
In customer master we define a payment terms as well as Credit memo payment terms.
Like suppose we have for Customer with Payment term = Net 30 days (Z001)
And for the same customer we have defined Credit memo terms = Pay Immediately (Z005).
When we post an Invoice for this customer it will have Payment terms as Z001 i.e. net 30.
Whereas when we post a credit memo for the above invoice it will inherit the new payment terms from Customer master that is, Z005 i.e. due Immediately.
Credit memo payment terms can be same as payment term or different depending on the business requirement.

  • Issue with Vendor Payment Terms

    Hi Gurus,
We're facing an issue with the Payment Terms of a Vendor in our SRM system.
In R/3 the Vendor has Payment Term 'A' but when we create a PO for this vendor it appears with Payment Term 'B' (PT from SRM I think)
The correct PT is 'A' (the one from R/3).
Does anyone know if the PT are saved in SRM side also and where to check this information??
I can check in R/3 with code XK03 but from SRM side -in code BP- I can't find PT data for this vendor.
    Regardss.

    Hi,
Payment term is different in PO when compared to ECC, the following could be anyone of the reasons :
    01. PLease check the payment term value in CONTRACT; if you assigned contract as SOS in PO for ECS
    02. Please check he tpayment term value in BBPMAININT where you can maintain different payment terms manually.
I hope the above information is very helpful to you.
    Thanks

  • Payment terms - Purchase order

    Hi,
We have a business requirement, where we are maintaining different payment terms for different company code in vendor master.
I understand that the payment terms in the purchase org view of the vendor master takes precedence over those at the company code level during the creation of Purchase order and the payment terms of the company code level is accessed when processing an invoice NOT associated with a Purchase order.
However, business wants to derive the payment terms from company code data of vendor master and not from purchasing view.
Please let me know the use exit, which can be used to achieve this requirement.
    Regards,
    AG

    Hi
Not every vendor with purchasing org data needs company code data. Not every vendor with company code data needs purchasing data.
The payment terms at company code level are used if you post non-PO related invoices with FI transactions.
    Vendor Master Data Management
    Copy function for "payment terms"
    Payment terms in vendor  Master

  • Payment terms in sales order

    Hello Guru
I have received an issue saying that in the sales order the payment terms are different at the header and item data.
I like to know under what circumstances payment terms are different at header data and item data.
Pls provide your inputs along with tcodes and tables to see these payment terms

    Hi
Below are the places where payment terms are maintained
Customer Master Records ->Company Code Data->Payment Transaction.
Customer Master Records ->Sales Area Data->Billing Tab
Also can be maintained for materials at Conditon Records (VK11) level.
