PayPal and iTunes

In the account page, I would like to choose PayPal as my payment method for my purchased music. I've done this before and it worked, however, I'm trying it now and when I click on the link to verify my PayPal account, it brings me to a blank internet page that doesn't load at all. I've refreshed, stopped, done it over..nothing. Has anyone had this problem and know how to rectify it?
Thank you.

I am having the same problems with my iMac and Paypal. The Paypal page doesn't load either. I just get the e-mail address of the website I'm wanting to order from and the word "Checkout" and "PayPal" logo. No information on what I want to order. When I click "pay here on PayPal" on our Windows PC, I get a page that has the book title and amount of what I'm wanting to order? How come I can't get it on my iMac?

  • Paypal and iTunes issue?

Hello. I recently got an iPod Touch. Anyway, in the App Store, I went to buy BTD4 for $2.99. It said they were having issues. So I went into iTunes to try and buy it, and right before I did, it said that they would charge my default payment method. Mine is Paypal, and I only have 59 cents in it. I did NOT click buy now, but I'm still worried that they might charge Paypal and charge a fee in addition. Will it do this? It is not in my iTunes store history, or my Paypal history, and the button on both the app store and iTunes still say "buy now". Should I be worried and scramble to add funds to Paypal?

Typically speaking paypal will automatically debit(charge) your default billing method the difference.  So in your case you have $0.59 in paypal and want to spend $2.99.  So your default billing method will be automatically billed (you set this up when you created the billing agreement with itunes/paypal) $2.40.  Now you should make sure that your billing method (IE a checking/savings account, credit/debit card) had available funds, but it should go through in a couple of days on its own.

  • *HELP*  Paypal and iTunes problems!  Billing agreement does not work!

    Hello
I hope someone here can help me as this is driving me insane
I want to use PP for iTunes and have set up numerous billing agreements through PP, but iTunes does not seem to recognize them. I go through the whole thing of signing into my account repeatedly and it will send me to PP where I over and over set up the agreement, but when it is supposed to send me back to iTunes it just sends me to a page on PP where it states that my session has timed out.
I chatted live with someone from iTunes yesterday who suggested as I use Mozilla firefox that I should use IE instead when doing this. SO I took everything off and started over again and nada/___sbsstatic___/migration-images/migration-img-not-avail.png
I also have a firewall on my pc through AVG and was wondering if this had something to do with it.
I cannot find the live chat section again to save my life/___sbsstatic___/migration-images/migration-img-not-avail.png

  • I cancelled my itunes through paypal and now I want to reactivate it. What do I need to do?

I cancelled my itunes merchant with paypal and now I want to reactivate it. What do I need to do?

Do this:  Open iTunes on a computer (Not on your iPhone)  >  Store  >  View my account (and notice the email address next to it, is it correct?, it doesn't matter, go to the next step)  >  Enter your iTunes password  >  Payment type, click "edit"  >  (now look at the email address associated with the Paypal icon, is it correct?, it doesn't matter, go on to the next step)  >  click the Paypal icon (it will take you to Paypal website)  >  log into Paypal  > click Agree and Continue  >  make sure it says "You have successfully created a billing agreement."  Now go to your iPhone and download an app to make sure everything works correctly again.

  • How do I change credit card info for apps?  It thinks I want to pay with paypal and I need to put in credit card info.

I have a new iPhone 6 and want to buy apps.  When I click on "buy" some say they don't take PayPal and that I need to change my payment information.  ITunes seems to accept PayPal, but not the apps store.  Well, some do, some don't.  I still need to put in the info but cannot find how to do it.  Help please!

  • Nano won't power on, but shows up in My Computer and iTunes

I recently replaced the screen in my Nano and for about a day it worked fine. Then I opened it back up to clean off a smudge and now it's slightly less than functional.
First off before anyone asks, I use a PC, not a Mac. I run Windows XP Home Edition. And my iTunes version is 6.0.4.2.
    Now my problem...
When not connected to my computer the device is useless, it won't power on, the wheel is unresponsive, no sound comes from the headphones, it's dead.
But when I connect it to my computer it shows up in My Computer and in iTunes and all of my songs show up and I can double click them and play them, but the screen on the Nano still remains dark and the wheel still does nothing.
Another strange thing is that My Computer and iTunes will only recognize it when I turn "hold" on. If hold is off it refuses to show up at all.
I downloaded the latest iPod software and it stopped showing up at all, so I uninstalled that and reverted back to whatever version I have now. I've tried to let it charge for 24 hours, that did nothing. I formatted it and let my computer re-install it's system files and what-not, that did nothing. I've tried to reset it, nothing. And I've mashed all the buttons and circled around the wheel endlessly to no avail.
I really have no clue what might have caused this or how to fix it, if anyone has any suggestions I'm willing to try them, because at this point it can't get that much more broken.
So um, thanks for any help. If anyone actually manages to help me fix this thing and you have a PayPal account I'll toss you like $20 or something for your time, because it's cheaper than buying a new Nano.

Wow. I have no idea, I have never opened my ipod to do any do-it-yourself repairs. Of course (as you probably already know) your warranty is now voided since you opened it up and made alterations to it.
I wouldn't know where to start troubleshooting this, as I am unclear as to the cause of the issue.

  • The "support" for app store (and itunes) is utter crap?

When I try to guy anything from the app store, I get a message telling me to complete the purchase through itunes support.  there is no itunes support, and the link to this support forum from mac appstore support is broken.  ***?  I can download the software from pirate bay for free in 5 min, but there's no official way to get app store support from apple?  I submitted an email and got a reply saying I'd get a reply in 24 hours.  I wonder how long amazon would be in business if they had 24 hour delayed email sales support for the things they sell.  What decade is this?
There is no error, but the way, just a friendly message telling me to use itunes support to complete the purchase, and itunes support tells me I can't get itunes support and suggested I send an email.
Wow.  This is such a stark difference from the support I used to be able to get when Apple sold software in their stores.
This is obviously more of a rant than a question, but I am curious if anybody else can actually get sales support for items they are trying to buy from the app store, or if everybody is as ****** as I am.

Interesting speculation.  Not really the subject matter though, but FWIW, I don't use a bank card, I use paypal, and after this occurred, I went into itunes and made sure i could still buy things, so I bought an audio book.  I then weint into paypal and made sure nothing there was obviously broken, and there wasn't anything I could see that was.
The problem I have is not that app store doesn't work (although, that's *a* problem), but the real issue is that *app store support* is broken.  Or rather, it does't exist.
This is the new customer experience for all apple software, and rumor has is, hardware too (one day).  This is so far below average that it really makes me wonder what the helll is going on at apple these days.

  • Problems with Paypal option- iTunes Crashes!

I originally experienced similar problem as others with activating paypal, getting a confim #, and then nothing. I was using Mozilla.
Then I got a new computer, new versin of iTunes 5.0.1 and whenever I clicked on the link below the Paypal option to activate paypal account iTunes just crashes completely! This happens regardless of browser IE, or Mozilla. Anybody heard of this? Any ideas?

I hope iTMS gets you answer! And I meant to say iTunes Music Card, not gift certificate.
Others have signed up without CCs:
Do I have to enter a credit card number to use an iTunes Music Card?
A credit card is not required to purchase music using an iTunes Music Card. Learn more in this article.

Scroll down, the part at the end says after you enter the music store card info,
In the resulting screen, create your new Music Store account. You will have the option to enter credit card information; if you do not wish to do so, click the None button on the Payment screen.

  • HT5552 Using PayPal for iTunes/App Store

I try to select PayPal as my payment option for iTunes/App Store, but when I select the PayPal icon and click the "continue" button, as directed, nothing happens.  Why can I not select PayPal?  All of my payment information is stored in PayPal, and I would like to keep it that way.

    Thanks for the pointer Lesnes.
Unfortunately I am unable to create an itunes account as part of the process for doing so asks for my bank or cc details which I am not happy to provide.
I received an email from Apple support last night with the following link:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
The link does not take into account that I already have an apple ID so instead of being able to follow all the steps I get asked to log in and review and this goes to a page requesting billing info with no 'None' or Paypal options.

  • Why can't I authorize paypal for iTunes store with american express

Can not make a payment using paypal after canceling the agreement in paypal by accident. iTunes is not allowing me to create a new agreement with paypal and giving me this error message when I try: You may not use American Express to fund this payment. Please add a different type of card or use a bank account."!!!
There is a balance in the paypal account, and as I understand it the problem is that Apple (iTunes) does not want to create the agreement while the backup to the backup funding method is American Express!!! PLEASE HELP ME PAY YOU.

Sorry, but Paypal is not available as a purchase option in the Netherlands nor, to the best of my knowledge, anywhere other than the US. Why this is, no one here knows or can say.

  • Use Paypal with iTunes? Problems?

I am trying to use Paypal to purchase music in iTunes. On the credit card page, I click paypal and then click the validate paypal account and validate my account. But then after I validate, the link in itunes does not change. How do I fix this? Thanks!

Hey Katrina! Thanks! I read through that page that you gave me and it said:
"Note: If clicking the Return to Merchant link doesn’t allow you to complete the PayPal sign-up process in iTunes, please try following these steps again using a different web browser."
It didn't work in Firefox, I used good old Internet Explorer. Thanks for your help!

    Hi Guys,
I hope you can help me with this one.

  • Home Sharing is not working following update to iOS 5.1 and iTunes 10.6

    First, the problem:
I am not able to see any shared libraries  when using the Music and Video apps on my iPhone 4.
    Next, the specs:
iTunes 10.6 on MBP running Mac OS X 10.7.3
    iPhone 4 runinng iOS 5.1
Wi-Fi connections for both MBP and iPhone 4
Both connect to same network using same SSID with static IP addressing and UPnP enabled.
MBP connects using 5 GHz N-Only anntena.
iPhone 4 connects using 2.4 GHz NG-Mixed antenna. (Hopefully next iteration of iPhone supports 5 GHz.)
    Third, what I have tried:
Everything in "Troubleshooting Home Sharing" (KB Article TS2972 - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2972).
Re-entering my Apple ID credentials for both Music and Movies in iOS Settings.
Re-entering my Apple ID credentials for Home Sharing in iTunes.
Setting up Port Forwarding for both the iPhone 4 and MBP in my router for the relevant TCP and UDP ports (just in case). However, this did not help.
    Finally, what I have noticed:
My Remote app on the iPhone 4 works without issue and can control iTunes running on my MBP.
My Air Mouse app on the iPhone 4 works without issue and can control my MBP.
My wireless printer connected to the network via the 2.4 GHz antenna (it only supports 802.11g) is usable - I can print to it and access its embedded web server management tool.
So, in the end, Home Sharing no longer works on my iPhone 4 after updating both IOS and iTunes (all other apps and software updates are current for both the phone and the MBP). I believe I have ruled out any issues with which antenna is being used for which device. I am out of ideas on how to get Home Sharing to work again.
Any suggestions or possible solutions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you gurus in advance!

Spoke to a "senior advisor" in the Apple TV department.  Her suggestions:  change channel in router to minimize/eliminate wifi interference from other users; move router away from any metal - i.e., DVD player, phone modem, etc.; keep router away from wireless 2.4 gH phones, which are "notorious" for crashing wifi routers.  So she confirms that the problem is one of connection to router suddenly dropping out.
My own feeling is that none of these fixes will do the trick, because it seems pretty clear that there is a hardware component here - the timing of the drops seems like an overheating issue.  It takes 35-40 minutes for the box to warm up enough for the first drop; then each consecutive drop happens quicker than the one before, as it heats up more.  Each time it drops, its tiny brain gets a little more scrambled; last night it finally wouldn't start up again at all.
My suggestion is that everyone who is experiencing this problem, please call Apple tech support and ask to speak to a senior advisor in the Apple TV department.  Make them aware of this problem!

  • HELP! iPhone 3GS stuck in recovery loop and iTunes gives error message" iPod update server can not be contacted"

As I said, it's an iPhone 3GS (never jailbroken), iOS 4.1, PowerPC G4 OS X 10.4.11, iTunes 9.2. I have had the phone since new, never had any issues with it and am at my wits end trying to figure it out. I have seen many different solutions to this exact problem, but none have worked for me. Anyone have any ideas?

This is what I posted to someone else having an update issue... Just for your information:
I having the same issue about the and iTunes says "The iPhone cannot be  restored at this time because the iPhone software update server could  not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable.". I've had the  iPhone  3GS since it came out. It was working fine until I just tried to  update  it. It has NEVER been hacked or jailbroken. WE AND A FEW OTHERS are  having  the same issue then it is more than likely that this is an  update issue.  I took mine to the Apple store and the tech tried to  update it and he came to the same problem and told me he couldn't  update it. My assumption is that we are not the only one's with this  issue and that if  there was a way to update it to the update before  this last one it  might be a solution. I don't know how to get the  previous update. Apple  probably is aware of the problem, and hasn't  come up with a solution yet. Or, enough people haven't complained yet.  The tech suggested that  there might be something wrong with the phone  itself, but that couldn't  be since it was working perfectly before I  updated it and others are  having the same issue. It is highly unlikely  that a lot of people are having the same hardware issue all of a  sudden at the same time. Apple/iTunes needs to fix this... and hopefully soon
Also:  I can update or restore my iPhone 5 and other iPhones so it is not an  issue with my firewall or other software on my computer. No one touches  my iPhone or my computer they are secure, locked all the time, and I  have no jailbreak software on my computer (Apple tried it and they are  clueless at the moment from what I can tell).

  • New ipod seen in windows and itunes but not in sync diagnostics

I bought a second Ipod. Oldest one works fine. New one is seen in Windows and in ITunes. Diagnostics "finds" new Ipod, but on Sync diagnostics says "no Ipod found".
Ne Ipod looks like it's staring to sync, then just stops after 30 seconds and goes to "connected" screen.
Have done resets of Ipod and reboots of PC.
Driver shows no error in Device Manager.
Have tried three differenct cables and both USB ports on the pc.

I jus tried that. Computer acknowledged Ipod and Itunes performed restore. Afterward, same situation...no sync. Screenshots:
