Paypal Buttons on Photo page.

I have inserted paypal buy buttons on my photo page in hopes that someone will buy some prints however...when you click on the photo and it brings you to the large view the buttons are still there. Is there a way to either make them dissapear, or move to the bottom?
Thanks
Shawn

You used web-widget to insert the code.
The problem is any code inserted with web-widget is not applied to the page itself, but the code is applied to other pages and linked to your page using iframe.

  • How do I add a PayPal button to a page in my site?

My client has a PayPal account and they would like me to add a button that enables visitors to click the button and submit donations.
Is this something that is supported by Muse?

Yes - you can add a PayPal button using arbitrary HTML.
Create the donation page in Muse. If desired, you can also create a second confirmation page, that thanks the visitor for their donation after it is submitted.
    Publish both pages.
Log into your PayPal account on their website. Use their system to generate the donation payment button.
Copy the source code for the button.
Return to Muse and go to Object > Insert HTML..., paste the code in the HTML Code area and Click OK.
Position the HTML block where you want the button to appear on the page.
Publish the page again and click the button to test that the button works as expected. It should jump from the Muse donation page to the PayPal page where the visitor can enter their donation into your client's account.
You can style the PayPal page to look more like your site's design, which creates a more seamless appearance. If desired, you can also configure the PayPal payment page to redirect to the confirmation/thank you page you created in step 1 after processing the transaction.

  • Button destinations (Photo page)

Similar to Bill Hamilton's question about auto-starting the slideshow, I would like to be able to have the album already opened when the photo page is loaded. I notice that in the browser window it reads "photos.html#0" when the album is open. Is there any way to make this the destination of the photo button? And if it is possible to change it, will the photos page still load? I'm using iweb '09.

You would have to create your own text based hyperlink menu and point the photos link to the URL of the page or window you want. If the window you want doesn't have a tool bar at the top go to Safari's View menu and select Toolbar. This will add the tool bar and URL field where you can select the URL to use for the text hyperlink. This step if needed if you want to send viewers directly to the slideshow of a photo page.
This demo page has an example of a user created navigation bar. You can get additional information on user created navbars at http://iwebfaq.org/site/iWeb_FAQ.html.

  • PayPal buttons appearing on detail page

I've added Paypal links using the HTML widget to a photo page in iWeb. If you click on the photo to enlarge it, all the Paypal buttons (from the other photos) show up on the enlarged image. Is there a way to avoid this or set up another kind of page so that just the image selected shows up? Thanks.

You will need some additional javascript code in an HTML snippet to get what you want. Cyclosaurus has posted a solution to that.

You'll need to study Cyclosaurus's posts and his sample pages to get the widget code to use.

  • Iweb photo page and pay pal buttons

could someone tell me how to alter or change java so pay pal buttons go away when someone clicks on picture to enlarge or goes to slide show? cyclosaurus gave to example web pages that it can be done, but no explanation on how to do it.
Thanks , wish I was smarter. Tom

    Hi!
I had this issue about a month ago, so scheduled an Apple One-to-One session, which easily solved the problem. You cannot use the iWeb "Photo" page template if you want to add a Paypal button. As much a pain as it is, you must use the iWeb "Blank" page template.

  • Everytime I try to pay with my cc on paypal, I enter all of my infor and after I press the "review and confirm" button the same page reopens but has erased only my cc #, exp date and security cvv number. What could be wrong?

b.stats.paypal.com : server does not support RFC 5746, see CVE-2009-3555
This appears on my error page everytime I try to use my credit card through paypal. I enter all of my info (billing, etc..) and after hitting the "review and confirm" button the same page reappears and has erased my cc number and leaving my name and billing info. What can I do to finish my transaction?

  • Buttons appear as Question Marks in Photo Page

    Hey all,
I've been having this problem where buttons (Start Slideshow, Email Me, and Made on a Mac) show up as Question Marks on one of my Photo pages (titled "New Photos)
    Follow Link below:
    http://web.mac.com/adventurestorys/iWeb/Site%201/New%20Photos.html
In the past I've been able to make a small change to the page and re-publish which corrects the problem. But this one is stubborn. Any advice?
Note that I have already tried the "Publish all to .Mac" and that didn't help. And I do Empty my Cache in Safari after Publishing. Also, the problem only occurs on this particular photo page, the others in the site are just fine. So I recreated the page from scratch and re-published, but that still didn't help. Not sure what to try next. Thanks for your help.

    Cabo23:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. I see what you mean. The images for the buttons are not located by the page but they still work. Are these special image files you're using or the ones that come with the theme?
You might try creating a new photo page, select all of the photos from the old page and past into the placeholder on the new one. Do the same for the text, copy it from the old and past into the text box from the new. Then publish to a folder on the desktop and see if the buttons are correct. If so , delete the old page, rename the new one to the old name and publish.

  • Buttons in my photo page are showing up as "blue question marks?

When I updated my website last night, the arrow buttons in my photo pages show up as blue boxes with question marks in them. This has never happen before. All of the images are fine, text is fine, even the numbers for the various pages of the photo album, just the "arrows" have the little "?" symbol. I have restarted the computer, refreshed, reset Safari, emptied the cache and nothing seems to work. I had a second party look on their Mac if it was the same on theirs and it is too.
I am posting to a server (not using mobile me). Any suggestions???

Publish to a local folder and launch this version in the browser by double clicking the index.html file.
If this is OK it means that you haven't uploaded all the files to the server.
If its not OK, try deleting the iWeb preference file before the restart. See "Fix iWeb" here....

  • Gallery with Paypal buttons and drop-downs on the index page?

I'm looking for a LR gallery where I can have thumbnails with Paypal buttons and drop-downs on the index page.
I would prefer to keep my galleries interface streamlined and don't want to clutter it up with dropdowns and cart. I would like to have 1 page for ordering that has all my images as thumbnails with drop downs for price and size, rather than right-clicking on and image which opens in another page like the LRG Gallery with Paypal.
I don't have a lot of experience messing with code, and none with .js. I did make a drop down in Paypal and have the code, but I think things would be pretty unwield it I designed a page as a table like I would in MS Word.
I'm familiar with LRG Complete gallery, but don't see that it has the ability to not require a right click to order.

  • Iweb photo page subscribe button

How do I get the subscibe link to stop working on the photo page of iweb? I only want to allow people to see what is posted, not my entire photo collection on my computer.

In the inspector, choose the Photo tab (That's 2nd from the left, sunset and tree).
You have a lot of options there, and under 'Photo's just unclick the 'allow visitors to subscribe' box.
You should also set 'download size' to 'none'
    Hope this helps.

  • PayPal buttons showing through Slide Show

    Hi,
I can't figure out how to get the PayPal buttons not to show when you click on the Slide show. And, I can't even disable the Slide show! Any ideas? Thanks.

You must be putting the paypal buttons inside the photo placeholder.
Go to the "photos" inspector "slideshow" page and uncheck the "enable slideshow" box.

  • HT1040 trying to make an ibook and have 800 photos, want format of 8 photos/page, but default is not that- "create" the initial book from iphoto "album" it loads less than 800 pics and then when i change layout i have blanks.

trying to make an ibook and have 800 photos, want format of 8 photos/page, but default is not that- "create" the initial book from iphoto "album" it loads less than 800 pics and then when i change layout i have blanks.
if i clear the book so that it is all blanks and then try to load in the pictures i have it loses the chronology of the pictures that i had established in the album.
is there a way to import photos into an ibook template and keep the original order of the photos without having to do them one at a time?
also, is there a way to insert a photo rather than just dragging it? i have tried the cut and paste funciton but it doesn't seem to work, the target site doesn't seem to register with iphoto.
    many thanks for your help.

Photos are added to book in chronological order.  So if you want to add them to a book in the order you have placed them manually in an album do the following:
1 - select all the photos in the album.
2 - use the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Date menu option as shown here. Select any date and add 1 minute between photos.
3 - select just one photo from the album and create a book from it.
4 - in the book click on the Options button ➙ Book Settings button and make sure the checkbox for Auto-layout pages is unchecked.
5 - drag the album with your book photos onto the book icon and they will be imported into the Photos tray of the book in your pre-determined order but not into the pages themselves.

  • IWeb not publishing PayPal button widget

As per Burns Media (see below). I have taken the proper steps to insert a PayPal button. However the button does not show up on the published site. I've done this in the past and it did work but not now. I have the latest update to iWeb and running OSX 6.4.2 Is there a problem with these updates or am I just missing something?
    Thanks for your help!
    Jerry
Burns Media Posted this: You can certainly use PayPal on your iWeb site, and it's fairly easy. You would indeed use the HTML Widget - first, log in to your PayPal account (or create one if you don't have one) and follow the steps to create a new button (Buy Now, Pay Now, Gift Certificate, etc.) When you've finished making the button, the last step gives you some HTML code to copy and paste into the HTML Widget. Copy the code from the PayPal site, in iWeb drag the HTML Snippet to your page and in the box that pops up paste the code. Hit Apply and you're done! When you publish the site, visitors can click your "Buy Now" box and be taken to PayPal to buy.

I think this is very similar to the instructions you posted, but here is a visual demonstration showing how to add PayPal to an iWeb site
