PayPal Credit Negative Balance?

Got a statement in the mail with a negative balance saying do not pay this and my account was closed. I called the number on the statement and asked what was going on. The rep. said paypal credit owes me money and they will be sending a check? Has anyone had this happen before?

Did you ever find an answer to this? The same thing just happened to me.. I paid the bill and received a refund afterward, leaving me a $400 odd negative balance owed to me. Seems like a ridiculous way to sort that out..

I want to transfer that to my chase card but it is asking for an address and other information that I can't find on Paypal Credit website that I could easily find through billmelater website. Paying Back Negative Balance for a Closed Account

I closed my old account around two months ago and around two weeks ago I received an email saying I have a negative balance of 222.00GBP (on the closed account). I understand why but it is totally unfair because I won the dispute and Paypal agreed with me, but the buyer got a refund from his credit card company and alltogether I've already lost around 70GBP...I just want to finish this and pay off the money, but how do I do that? Ways to clear a negative balance.
1. Transfer funds from your bank account via "add funds" if you choose the faster method it should be done quickly.
2. Get a mate or family member to send you a payment to your paypal via the friends / family option (as long as they don't fund it with a card there is no fee).
3. Via a card over the phone with paypal. ************************************** I give up my time to help you so a thank you or kudos would be cool.

BP Negative Balance against Deliveries with out the Drill Down option...

There is a BP balance against Deliveries which is a negative balance. It does not give the option to drill down. when the entries were checked, I can't find a same balance posted under a Return or a Delivery. Any thoughts. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, how ever the issue arised after creating two Sales return documents(value £39.73), against one return a AR Credit memo was created which resulted in a balance in the Delivery as -38.21 and when tring to drill down an error was coming up (Internal error 6004 occured message131-183) and did not allow a drilling against the balance. But after cancelling the remaining Return the drilling option dissapeared leaving the negative balance of 38.21. No document can be identified agreeing to the same balance.

AP Negative Balance

Hi Experts,
I ahve a client who now wants to change the Negative Balance in the AP Accounts. They went live earlier this year and have entries in the System already.
I see that the 'Display Credit Balance with a negative sign' ois ticked and greyed out. How can I get this AP accounts not to display as negative?

Hi Marli,
This initial setting might not be changeable as soon as you posted any transactions. You need to create a new database to solve the problem.

Can't use PayPal Credit on eBay.

I noticed that I have $506 in PayPal Credit in my account. I tried to buy something on eBay and it said that it couldn't authorize my payment. I also tried to buy something on a different site and got rejected. Why is it showing $506 on the main page in PayPal when I can't even use any of it?

Same here, it is very frustrating. I have a fairly new paypal credit account and can not use it. I Have spent hours on the phone with paypal credit and they can not tell me what is wrong. They have checked all of my account info, and I have no balance (since I have never used it) and I have available credit. When I try to use paypal credit I get a message saying the payment type you are using is not working, try another payment type. They keep telling me it must be an internal system issue and to let the system calm down a few days and try again. My wife has paypal credit and has used it with out any problems on the same computer so I know it is not a browser problem. She can send money to my paypal account with no problem, and I can then transfer to my bank accoutn. I just can not use my paypal credit line! No one can give me a solution.

Receiving mail from PayPal Credit (Don't have a account with PayPal Credit)

I've been receiving statements though mail from PayPal Credit with a balance of 142.61. I don't have Credit with PayPal so is this some kind of scam? The address is correct except the last name isnt my own and an apartment isnt included. Just my building and street address

Long story short, I paid a CC down to zero but it carred a balance the month prior so interest was charged before the statement cut. I panicked and quickly paid it but the small balance reported to the CRA's. I called CC and begged CSR for a mid cycle report because I needed to have a zero balance to maximize scores for mortgage app. She said she couldn't do that but would credit me the interest charged so now I have a negative balance that is going to report. Is that the same as having a zero balance report for score maximization? Or does the alogrithm only understand an actual zero?

How many revolving accounts do you have? besides this one, are all but one reporting zero, and one reporting small balance?

How to cancel or decrease my paypal credit limit (UK)

How can I cancel the paypal credit facility in my personal account, or reduce the amount I have available in credit. It's really hard to find out how to do this. Bit sneaky as they are hoping I'll give up trying to get rid of it but I don't need it. I'd like to reduce it ideally but I'd also consider removing that facility from my account. how do I do it?

There is no annual fee for holding an account so you can use it as little or as often as you like. However, if you'd still like to close this account or request to decrease the credit limit, simply send us an email to confirm this through the secure webform on the 'Contact' page on www.paypal.com/uk.
Your credit balance must be paid in full in order to close your account.
Closing your PayPal Credit account will remove it from your PayPal wallet but you can still use your PayPal account with other funding options such as a credit card or bank account.

Issues attempting to use PayPal Credit

There seems to be nothing but problems with attempting to use PayPal Credit. When it was simply Bill Me Later I ezperienced no problems whatsoever. I have attempted to use my PayPal Credit account to book a hotel room but was unable to do so. Called PayPal credit but they indicvate that since the account isn't used often a block was placed due to the amount (note: I have a zero balance on my account). Has anyone else experienced this problem and how were you able to resolve it (if at all)?

Hi Mogiirl, I thonk you might be on to something. I had trouble using Paypal credit sll weekend. I tried again today while at work (better and stronger internet connection) and the purchase went through. I had called Paypal credit twice yeterday ... they checked my account and found mothing wrong. So it sounds like a nog glitch with their system

Paypal Credit Statements

Hello, Is anyone else unable to view Paypal Credit, formerly Bill Me Later Statements? This error has been occurring on since BillMeLater became PaypalCredit. I need to see my full statement not just the balance and amount due. On the Summary page, when I click on "Paypal Credit" it goes to: https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/credit the tab shows: PayPal: Internal Error and the page shows the error message: "We are not able to process your request. -Click on "PayPal Credit (previously Bill Me Later) >"
-Click "View Statements >"
-A pop out menu on the right will allow you to select a statement. If you'd like to change your statement preferences, click "Manage Statements" at the bottom of the page.
-In the PayPal Credit section, you can choose Estatements or statements By Mail.

Cannot send money with PayPal Credit

I have tried multiple times to send a family member money from my paypal credit balance. I know that this is possible and have had other family members do the same. For whatever reason, however, it doesn't show up for me as an option when I am trying to send money. Anyone know why that is? Can I use a gift card to pay of my credit card balance? I bought a song off iTunes and I forgot to redeem my gift card before doing so.

As you can tell from the topic of the discussion, I was just wondeirng if there's any way to use a gift card to pay off a credit card balance?
