Paypal - free shipping?

Hi,
We have just added paypal to our site and would like to send an email to everyone this week saying if they pay with paypal they will get free shipping.
Does anyone know the best way to do this?
I can't work out how to make a discount code / free shipping only apply when this payment method is selected as payment and discount code are on two different pages.
Thank you

There's unfortunately no automatic way to have a shipping option apply based on the payment option selected. Please also keep in mind that a shipping option needs to be selected before a customer proceeds to the Registration - Buy layout where they will then select a payment option.

  • Free Shipping only on select catalogs

    Hello all!
I have created two new products in a whole different "November Specials" category for my store that offer a free item with purchase of one of two regular products. I did this so I could discount the price of the free item.
I also need to offer free shipping on black friday on all the regular priced items in the main store category.
I DO NOT want the free shipping to include those two new products I created ...
The issue I'm having is the "Apply Discount to Selected Catalogs" is not allowing me to choose the main store category. So, the free shipping option will apply to all catalogs.
Can anyone provide me with any help/insight here?
I'm about to move my client's site from Volusion which is a hot mess, but they've got their stuff together when it comes to creating a wide variety of discount packages and filtering is much easier.
    Thanks!

UPDATE: I spoke with support and this is not possible at this time. I have submitted this as a feature request.

B&H Photo has the Samsung 830 Series (MZ-7PC256B/WW) 256GB 2.5" Internal SATA III MLC Solid State Drive (SSD) for $182.00 Free Shipping. Tax in NY only. [Compare Prices]
This is one of the fastest consumer SSD available today (520MB/s read and 400MB/s write). This uses Samsung's MCX 3-Core Controller paired with the toggle NAND Memory, which is faster than asynchronous and is on par with synchronous flash drives. It is one of the better all around performing SSDs currently available

There are a number of factors that can influence the speed of an SSD.  So simply specifying your SSD along and no other mention of harware (besides that it is connected to a SATAIII port) is probably nto enough information to really get you anywhere with this question.
Edit: BTW, I dind't know that page existed... I also didn't realize how much my Kingston Hyper 3k kicks some ass.  Also, my Mushkin mSATA Atlas 120GB does pretty damn well for being on a SATA II port.  I'll have to do the tests a couple more times in order to get an average to contribute.  But inital test went quite well.

  • Got charged for free shipping

I took advantage of the Elite/Elite Plus early Black Friday sale and purchased quite a few items.  However, after reviewing my order, I noticed a $5 charge for shipping.  Next to each item it says "Shipping: $0.00" but somehow that $5 got there on the end.  I checked each item as well, and each qualifies for free shipping if the order is over $35 (I bought a tv among other things, so it definitely is! )
I can provide the order number if necessary to any mods here.  I don't really mind how I receive the credit--gift card, My Best Buy Points, etc.  The only thing I am concerned about is possibly messing up my order if anything is done to it.  I have 7 gift cards, 1 large MyBB certificate, and Gamer's Club Unlocked all properly attached.
Thank you for any assistance.  Just message me if you need my order number.

    Hello NeoQuintessence,
I'm sorry to hear that there was an additional seemingly unexplained charge on your recent BestBuy.com purchase.
In reviewing your order, I note that the charge you were assessed is a California Electronic Waste Recycling Fee that must be added -- in accordance with California state law -- to the purchase of video display products such as computer monitors and TVs sold in California. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund for this fee.
I hope this helps. Thank you for writing to us with your concern!

  • Re: Free Shipping

    Hello gurus,
I have a requirement which seems to be logical but i am confused so as to configure it in the system.
Our business charges the customer a shipping charge on the total order value basis.
So i have a few freight condition type for calculating the shipping charge to be applied to the customer.
One or more than one of them can be determined to cumulatively give the final shipping charge to be applied to the customer.
Now the requirement is that eligible customers who order more than $70 goods should get free shipping.
So here is the issue i am facing,
Currently the pricing procedure is as follows:
    Base price conditions
    Discounts
    Shipping conditions
    Tax conditions.
Now what I thought is I would create another condition type as a discount and give 100% discount for eligible customers. The scale basis can be kept value and starting value can be kept 70 so as to apply it only if the order value for free shipping is met.
But we are using 3 shipping conditions as follows:
    ZSHH
    ZSH1
    ZSH2
which calculate the shipping charge to be applied. Now if i keep my free shipping condition type below this, when the value of $70 is met for eligible customers, the 100% discount is applied which is making the entire order value 0. this is as it is applying a 100% discount to all the condition types determined above it.
Is there a way that I can just make the cumulative valule of the 3 mentioned shipping conditions = 0, when the order value goes above the right amount.
I am having issues applying the 100% discount only to a particular line entry in the procedure. Is it possible to do it somehow ?
Or if any other soultion is there kindly suggest me ?
As there are 3 condition types used for shipping, I dont want to create and exact replica of individual shipping conditions with them to be discounts so that they nullify the charge.
    Thanks
    Vinit

    Hi there,
    Think if this is feasible:
Your shipping tax is calculated on the total value of the customer order. So define a new condition type ZSHP for shipping surcharge which is calculated on the net value of the sales order (including or excluding discounts as per your requirement). For eg you want to calculate tax on the gross value (before discounts). In pricing procedure gross value is stored in sub total 1 KOMP-KZWI1.
In the requirement routine of that condition type put a condition that ZSHP should apply only if       KOMP-KZWI1 <= $ 70.
Similaly if ZSHP is to be calculated from net value after taxes & discounts (sub total 3) then your  condition type should apply only if KOMP-KZWI3 <= $70.
    Check if this works.

    Sivanand

  • Fantastic One Day Creative Sale with free shipping today (May 7th) on

First of all, I am not an employee of Creative, just a fan of their products.

They come with a 90 day warranty. The?Refurbished Zen V Plus Players I have?purchased have been brand new and work just great. The sale also includes?lots of other things including the Stone and Muvo 00 2 GB?MP3 Players, keyboards, mouse, headphones, etc.
These players are great for gifts and just for having a spare MP3 Player handy. I use my extras to store audiobooks that I am waiting to read.

    Macqueline,
As I li've in Tucson,AZ., which is over a hundred miles from Phoenix, I don't see how it would save you any money. The gas alone would be over $45.00 US dollars.
You can only order the refurbished players from Creative in Oklahoma, as far as I know. Shipping for the refurbished player is around $5-7 dollars from Oklahoma to anywhere in the states. That won't work to anyones advantage for trying to pick up a cheap player while here on a vacation. Also, the sale is over on the 4th and their free shipping was only for the first day.
Wait for a sale in England. It would be to your advantage or just buy one now and enjoy it. The shipping isn't that expensi've.
I hope you enjoy your trip to the Southwest when you come to the US. It is beautiful here in Tucson. Phoenix is not quite as nice. Too big and too hot! Am so glad I don't li've there.

  • Free Shipping

    Hello gurus,
I have a requirement which seems to be logical but i am confused so as to configure it in the system.
Our business charges the customer a shipping charge on the total order value basis.
So i have a condition type
ZSHH which has a scale basis = value & scale type = A  ... base scale (means from a particular value)
Group str key = 1 ... overall document (to group conditions at header level)
condition record: here i have maintained different shipping charge for different scales eg.
    scale value                 Amount
        0                              0
        10                            3
        20                            6
        30                            9
    and soon...
now there is an offer for if the customer is eligible then he gets free shipping for an order whose value is above $80
So i need to provide this functionality to the business.
So what I thought is to create another condition type which gives 100% discount.
ZDUM-  Scale basis = value & Scale type = A (base value)
Group str key = 1 ... overall document (to group conditions at header level)
    Cond. Record:
    Scale basis             amount
         80                        100
Which means that any order above $80 gets a 100% discount.
However now the problem is placing the condition type in the pricing procedure.
The pricing procedure looks somthing like this ...
Step  Cnt  C.Type      Description              From  To  ....
450       0      ZSHH      Ship and Handling
451    0      ZDUM     Test Cond. Type
As of now i havent placed anything on the From or To column in pricing procedure.
In this case, ZDUM takes the order value as the condition value and applies a 100% discount if it is above $80 & thus makes the order value 0.
My requirement is to make the shipping charge 0. And I cant put 450 in the from column of ZDUM coz then it starts taking the value contributed by ZSHH as the condition value for determination which is not the requirement.
Now the only thing that I can think of is to make ZDUM as a discount on fixed amount category and put the same scales that I have maintained in the shipping charge as that of ZSHH.
Is there a better way of doing it.
It is urgen... can someone guide me please ...
    Thanks
    Vinit parkar

    Hello Vineet,
you could add a new requirement in pricing procedure , stating that the condition should be activated only if the order is below 80$, else it should skip
to make it more dyanamic, you could also pick the minimum value from the condition type of your condition zsshp
    hope this helps
    thanks

  • Free Shipping by Postcode?

    Hi,
racking my brains on this one.
Have a list of postcodes which I want to be able to offer free shipping on all orders to.
The easiest option would seem to be to simply set the value generated by (I think) shippingCalc to 0, but I can't seem to find a way of making this happen. From what I can see it doesn't seem to be a value I can directly manipulate.
I've tried setting up an option in Shipping Options in BC, with the idea of hiding it and then displaying it after evaluating the entered postcode against an array and selecting it if it matches (using javascript), but no luck, alas.
Any suggestions would be extremely welcome, as this one is important to be able to implement. I've only recently launched into javascript, so would prefer to stick with what I'm currently learning rather than venture in to jQuery or json or Ajax, but if that's what it takes, please let me know.
On a more general note, I would also like to be able to input the postcode before the user clicks on the dropdown to select their shipping options - I presume my best bet there is to use javascript to get the values, hide the system-generated output and then pass them to my own output?
    Cheers,
    Jason

Cheers for the responses to you, both.
I guess in this case I was after a bit more specific information, which I seem to have not communicated very well.
I get the impression, given this is essentially a meeting place between two categories of BC users, that giving stackoverflow-type answers is not really going to work for the web developers who post here, as it's essentially them doing work for free. I get that, and appreciate it. What I'm asking for is advice that falls somewhere in between stackoverflow and what you both have given above. It is completely ok if neither of you wish to provide that sort of help, but that's essentially what I would need.
So, regarding this: "The easiest option would seem to be to simply set the value generated by (I think) shippingCalc to 0, but I can't seem to find a way of making this happen. From what I can see it doesn't seem to be a value I can directly manipulate."
Is that true? Or is it possible to target that value directly?
So to make this easier on anyone who may be willing to help, this is what I had:
    function freeLocalDelivery() {
        var freePostCodes = ["( 2000, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017, 2021, 2025, 2027, 2028)"]
        var ShippingOptions = document.getElementById("ShippingOptions");
        var shippingPostcode = document.getElementById("shippingPostcode");
if ("shippingPostcode" in "freePostCodes" == true)
                    ShippingOptions.onchange(ShippingOptions.selectedIndex = ???);
This is obviously not working, and I truly do not understand why. I've tried variations on the onchange, including .value, using an index value as well as the shippingOption selected value, and I'm just at my wits end. So help by letting me know what needs to replace the question marks for a start, if you'd be so kind, or just give me a slightly more focused idea of how I need to proceed. I'm not asking anyone to write code for me, I just want to learn what I'm doing wrong.
    Cheers.

  • READ THIS IF YOU BOUGHT INVISIBLE SHIELD WITH FREE SHIPPING!

I want to order an invisible shield with free shipping. about how long did it take to get to your location?

I don't think so cause i don't got a tracking number, a code or anything like that. I just got my order number from invisibleSHIELD but that's useless. I think i should start saying goodbye to my $30. Shipping by Miami Express i'll end spending more than what i paid for the invisibleSHIELD. Right now the only thing i can do is hope that someday it will arrive.

  • Best way to manage "free shipping" products

Looking for suggestions on how best to manage shipping charges at a product/MM level. For certain customer and product combinations we offer free shipping. What is the best way to manage this in master data?
    thank you!

Not in Master Data but in Pricing settings. All you have to do is having a price condition that define your fright price, lets say ZFR1. This Condition will have associated an Access Sequence (ZFR1) that will contain a table (lets say 987) with the Customer information (whether you want to do a distinction customer by customer or you want to set an indicator at the customer master record to group several records, lets say in the field Shipping Conditions, where you can set the value Z1 - Chargeable and the same for materials, look for a field you can use for this purpose). The table 987 will have such values (among others that you may need), then in T-Code VK11 you create the Condition Record that fulfill the parameters to determine a fright cost for the customer.
Include the Condition type ZFR1 into the Pricing Procedure you are using for your sales orders and there you go, every time a Chargeable customer is placing a Sales Order  with a Chargeable Material the system will determine the condition ZFR1 with the amount you set in Transaction VK11... or, depending on the properties you maintain at the Condition Type you can let the user that is taking the sales order to place the Fright Price manually.
    Hope it helps Cheryl !
    Saludos!!

  • Can I exclude a state from free shipping? Or zip/post code?

Hi, we currently have one state where it doesn't make sense to offer free shipping (too expensive).
We would still like to offer it to other states / regions.
Is there away we can exclude a state from free shipping or alternatively apply a different shipping rate to each state? Perhaps through shipping zones?
This seems to be a very basic requirement that's easily achieved on most eCommerce platforms..
    Thanks in advance.

Hi, Bluepen, and welcome to the Community,
Skype Numbers are not available in every location, so yes; you could choose a number you preferred closest to the location you wish to have the number.  Another viewpoint: you could choose a Skype Number nearby to where most of your callers would be calling you so they incur as little as possible in the way of toll or long distance charges.
Remember, where you are makes no difference - your Skype Number provides another way for people to reach you, and you answer the calls on Skype, regardless of where you happen to be at the moment.
    Regards,
    Elaine

  • Free shipping promotion - preview

    Hi everybody
I am have a problem, I am not sure if there is something in atg to pre-apply promotion. What I am trying to do is offer free shipping, I already set up the promotion and it is working but if the customer current shipping method is "x" and "y" shipping method is free if the order is more than $50, I want to able to know that order might be able to have a free shipping only if the customer changes their shipping method. I can only know if the shipping is zero only when the promotion has been apply, if the current shipping method is not "y", I don't know if the promotion is going to apply. If I did not explain myself very well, please let me know
    Thank you

    I didnt really get it.
If you have created a shipping promotion for shipping method Y, then i think half of your job is done.
All you need is to create a closeness qualifier and add message/banner and attach it to this promotion.
Write a custom droplet to show this closeness qualifier message only if the shipping method Y is not selected.
So whenever any shipping method other than ship method Y is selected, if the order price is in particular range as set in the CQ,
    the message will appear.
    Hope this helps!

idea what was happening and said he would get someone to call me back
    . I'm still waiting.

  • No code for free shipping through Dec 12 as advertized

I had exactly the same problem as another customer Phil wrote about.. The calendar and book site advertizes free shipping through December 12th. When you are about to place the order, you are asked for a code for the free shipping. No code to be found anywhere. Looked online, Contacted Apple. No response yet. Phil went ahead and paid for the shipping. I think I will just cancel the order. I really hate this kind of bogus come on. I also dislike the fact that while trying to sort this out, the shipping info I entered had all "timed out." I can understand not keeping a credit card, but really, does one need to start over with each delay?
There doesn't even seem to be a support community for problems with books and calendars.

Yea, they don't have to unlock it for you without a contract, and don't always do so anyway within the first 90 days of ownership even on a contract.
So, get a very inexpensive unlock code from the link below, these are trustworthy and reputable unlocking vendors, you don't want to use just anyone, I've seen too many people get bad codes and permanently lock their device to the branded carrier.
