Paypal is no longer a payment option on apple store
I wanted to change my payment method back to paypal but can't seem to find the option under payment. Only lists cc. Any ideas?

I have a Mac Mini with a processor that won't upgrade to Mavericks. I am running OSX 10.6.8 on it---but there are functions in OSX 10.7 I'd like to use. My real problem was that I'd already purchased Lion and my purchase history didn't go back far enough to show that. I have an IPod 5th generation and I would like to delete all personal content, and be signed out of my Apple ID as well, but there are apps that no longer exist on the apple store that I would like to keep.
Do this:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer

I know there's a lot of people having problems with apple store declining payments and I have been in that road. I also have called apple care to see if it's in their end and they told me I have to call my credit card company to see why it's declining. SO I DID! Here's is some of the possible causes that you all might not know about. Here's what happened to mine.
I was trying to purchase an app that is $9.99 and kept declining my card. Asked me to verify security code, address etc... I did and still a pop up method of payment declined.
Here's the answer from my bank. Any app that is over $5.00 is a suspect of fraud will put a hold on your payment. Hence, declined. The bank told me if I want to open the account specifically for Apple Store indefinitely? (meaning if I don't want any restriction amount, it will proceed). So, I said yes. So, they took off the Block.
Second thing you have to know is.... everytime you keep trying to buy the app and it is declining... Apple will charge you $1.00 everytime you try to keep accessing the app you are trying to download but keeps declining on you. Why didn't apple tell us about this? I don't have that answer and I'm about to make a complaint because the bank company don't have that access except for apple.
I hope this will enlighten anyones possible problem. I am sure this is not the only problem that's causing yours to decline.They do not charge you.

I have a new iphone5 - my first Apple product. Set up my Apple ID to download free apps. Registration requires a credit card. There is no "none" option as mentioned in previously posted instructions. There is no Paypal option either. Help???
Paypal isn't available in all countries.
How did you create the account ? Unless you followed the instructions on this page when creating it (the instructions won't work with existing accounts) then you will need to enter payment details before you will be able to download anything from the store with it : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534 -

Have you previously bought items when you didn't have sufficient money on your account ? Hello, I am considering switching from a PC to a MacBook (not sure if Pro or not). I qualify for the educational discount and current free iPod promotion, but only if I purchase the product from my university's computer store or online (we don't have an Apple Store here yet). Unfortunately, this computer store does not have that great of a reputation for service. My city will be getting a new Apple Store that will open in July. My question is twofold: If I purchase the computer from the university store will I be able to get service at the Apple Store if I need it? Is there any benefit in waiting one month for the new store to open and for me to purchase the computer from there? Thank you kindly.

No real benefit I can think of. You'll qualify for the BackToSchool promotion either way. So unless you feel that your campus reseller isn't competent to properly advise you on models, configurations, accessories, etc., there's little reason for you to wait until the Apple Store opens. -
