Payroll parallel reconciliation with external non-SAP System

Hi folks,
Did any one of you work on "payroll parallel reconciliation” project . We have data coming through SAP "payroll" results as well as from an external system. We have some wage types, schemas and some results tables in SAP payroll out put, they also have something like wage types and payroll results in external system. What I’m thinking that we can download the payroll result and write some macros in excel sheet or do Vlookup. Other approach is to upload external system data in to Sap and validate , or check what every condition are there .
What else can we do? Please give your inputs/suggestions.
Thanks

Hi saquib,
1. I suppose, apart from compareison of
sap figures <-------> external software figures,
, there is no other motive / purpose.
2. There are 2 important things :
   a) No need to validate thru macro
      or paralllel online comparison.
(don't go for such approach, as it may
      hinder sap normal business process)
   b) after payroll is processed in both systems,
      only after that,
      comparison should be done.
3. Now the question comes, where should the
   validation be done ?
   a) sap
   b) external software
   c) excel
   d) others.
4. Doing in excel and checking each figure
can be done, provided we know how to do
and we are expert at it.
5. Other thing is,
   a) make y table for uploading data of external system
(simple y table with wage type, amount, period.
  b) make a small z program to upload
    the data,
do the comparison, one by one.
  c) if required, the program can list
    out the variances.
6. I personally feel, this shold be the
    best approach.
(This comparison program can be developed
    in external software also.
   However, to download sap  data
we once again have to create a small z program.,
so why not, make one z program, once and for all )

  • SAP to External Non SAP Systems C++ Connections

    Hi guys,
i should develop a C++ application that should transfer/receive data from an external Non SAP System to a SAP System (MM SD FI Modules) and viceversa,
This bidirectional integration should be synchronous and asynchronous, depending on the data flow type,
I was thinking to use IDocs for this communications,
I should be able to send purchase and sell orders requests from the Non Sap System to the Sap system and receive the result of SAP processes once the SAP transactions will be finished.
So i'll have a C++ process that send idocs (created with sdk end sent throught RFC to SAP) for SD or MM operations and a SAP Abap module that receive this idocs and start internal operations.
After this i need an internal SAP abap module that send to my external application Idoc's with the result of internal operations.
Are the idocs the common way to transfer data(low cadinality) in this scenario, or there is a better way?
Note: my sap system versions are previous to the netweaver release, so i can't use a Service Oriented comunication...
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Hi,
try sending the data through BAPI Function Module.
and use the FM in your C++ program.
    hope this works....
    try
    best of luck!!

  • Call to Web Sevice in External (non SAP) system from SAP CRM

    Hi,
I have to make a call to External system from SAP CRM 5.0 system. The external system will provide a sample webservice which SAP will try to initiate
    Can you please tell me:
    1. What settings/object needs to be maintained in SAP in order to make this call.
    2. how I can make a call to this Web-Service from a BADI and pass the values to web service and also capture the returning value.
    Please explain in detail
    Thanks,

    Hi Oliver,
I have gone through the documentation and had been able to create a proxy object, uploaded the WSDL file (from local directory) and created logical port,
However, when testing the service, I didn't received a sucess message but
    <CX_AI_SYSTEM_FAULT>

  • External requirement from non SAP system created in SRM 7.0 Extended Classi

    Hello SRM Gurus:
Has anyone created an external requirement using XI ExternalRequirement_Create_In (http://sap.com/xi/EBP).  We are getting a E001 "No company code could be determined for backend  for product##".  I traced the error to FM 'BAPI_SCEC_CREATE' in class "CL_BBPX_EXTERNAL_REQUIREMENT".  What I found is that it check the attributes for BUK and updates a table with the backend EEC system.  Then it checks if any of the entries match our external non SAP system in our external requirement and since it is a non SAP system none do.  Then it sets a return error code.
I configured our non SAP system in the SLD and in SPRO under "Define System Landscape" as a non SAP system.
We are running external classic scenario.  We just want to created a shopping cart from an external non SAP system.  Source the shopping cart in SRM and create the PO in SRM/ECC.  We are not using a product master but creating "describe requirement" in our external system.  Our product categories are replicated from ECC and the same codes used in our external non SAP planning system.
If I change the external planning system to the ECC backend system, the external requirement is created in SRM but when I source it and convert it to a PO, it returns a backend error that the external requirement number does not exist in ECC.  Therefore it appears all of our data from our external system is correct with the exception of how to deternine the backend company code
According to SAP this should be possible using XI.
Has anyone been successful doing this or can you please advise any OSS notes or documentation explaining how to do this.  Please advise if you need additikonal info.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to integrate the portal system with non-sap system

    Hi Gurus,
How to integrate Portal system with non-SAP system?
I know few ways .......Using Usermapping UIDPW method.
Using Appintegrator .....and using Business repository objects in JCA?
Is there anyother way to integrate if so please give me the names and steps for integrating it?
    Thanks in Advance,

    Hi Dharani,
You can get information from the following links:

SAP CONNECTORS:- Basically Connectors are like middlewares , that we use to connect to the backend system including Non SAP systems also. Will try to explain it to u with some examples of SAP Connectors:-
    a) SAP Business Connectors:-
A middleware application based on the B2B integration server from webMethods.
The SAP Business Connector enables both bi-directional synchronous communication and asynchronous communication between SAP applications and SAP and non-SAP applications.
The SAP Business Connector makes all SAP functions that are available via BAPIs or IDocs accessible to business partners over the Internet as an XML-based service.
The SAP Business Connector uses the Internet as a communication platform and XML or HTML as the data format. It integrates non-SAP products by using an open, non-proprietary technology.
    b) SAP Java Connector:-
SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo) is a middleware component that enables the development of SAP-compatible components and applications in Java. SAP JCo supports communication with the SAP Server in both directions: inbound calls (Java calls ABAP) and outbound calls (ABAP calls Java).
SAP JCo can be implemented with Desktop applications and with Web server applications.
SAP JCo is used as an integrated component in the following applications:
    1) SAP Business Connector, for communication with external Java applications
    2) SAP Web Application Server, for connecting the integrated J2EE server with the ABAP environment.
SAP JCo can also be implemented as a standalone component, for example to establish communication with the SAP system for individual online (web) applications.
    To Know more go through,
    SAP Java Connectors
    II) ALE Concept:-
ALE is not restricted to communication between SAP systems, it can also be used for connecting SAP Systems to non-SAP systems.
By using IDocs as universal information containers, ALE can reduce the number of different application interfaces to one single interface that can either send IDocs from an SAP system or receive IDocs in an SAP system.
SAP certified Translator Programs can convert IDoc structures into customer-defined structures.
Alternatively, the RFC interface for sending and receiving IDocs can be used in non-SAP systems.
In both cases you need the RFC Library of the RFC Software Development Kit (RFC-SDK).
This link gives a great insight into landscape for Connectivity to Non-SAP systems:-
    SAP to Non-SAP systems
III) Communication Between SAP Systems and External (Non-SAP) Systems using RFC:-
When you use RFC for communication with an external (non-SAP) system, you can also implement the SAP Java Connector or the SAP .Net Connector for the conversion of data. However, there are no specific security requirements for these components, since they only perform internal system conversion functions.
The additional security recommendations for communication with external systems in this section make particular reference to cases where an external system is used as a server (SAP calls the external system). If you use an external system as a client (the external system calls SAP), the appropriate SAP-specific security mechanisms are implemented on the SAP side.
This link explains in detail all the security considerations you need to take for connecting to an External Non SAP system like, User administration, Network Security etc.
Communication Between SAP Systems and External (Non-SAP) Systems using RFC

  • Integrate 'External non-SAP Purchasing Application' with SAP SD for third party purchasing/ drop shipping?

What is the best way to integrate 'External non-SAP Purchasing Application' with SAP SD for third party purchasing/ drop shipping?
    Details about expected process Flow.
Receive PO from customer into SAP > SAP SD creates Sales Order > ?? SAP Integrate with External non-SAP Purchasing Application to trigger purchasing > External non-SAP Purchasing Application creates PO, Ships Material to Customer Ship to address (drop ship), Sends Shipping confirmation (FCR) & Invoices to SAP> ??Receive FCR and Invoice in SAP > ?? Initiate SAP Accounts Payable (Vendor Payments) and Accounts Receivable (Customer Invoice) > ?? Update SAP SD Sales Order with shipping status>
    Questions we need to answer;
      - How to achieve '??' steps from above process.
      - What type of Master Data we will need to configure (Say Materials Item Category, Type etc.)
      - Any standards options to configure SAP SD (Type of Sales Order)
      - We certainly don’t want to trigger SAP MM Purchasing (i.e. PR, PO etc.). How can we bypass it.
      - How to make statistical receipts against sales order line items so that SO status will be updated.
      - How to receive Invoice and FCR from External non-SAP app to trigger AP and AR transactions.
      - Are there any SAP standard configurations/ BAPIs/ BADIs available to achieve this integration.
Any inputs on above questions are appreciable.
    Anand.

This question is resolved. We ended up activating purchasing module and used purchasing documents PR/ PO to integrate with third party purchasing system.

  • Sending special characters to non-unicode non-sap system: user exit

    Hello All,
We are sending data from a SAP unicode system to a non-sap non-unicode system via IDOC. The idoc is standard idoc GLMAST which contains gl account information.
Some text fields contained in this idoc can contain special Polish characters. If they are sent unchanged to the non-unicode system, they give problems in the destination system.
What we would like to do is to build a user exit to convert these special characters, for example : 'é' becomes 'e', ....
We used enhancement object ALE00001, function EXIT_SAPLBD11_001 and implemented it, but it seems this exit is not called. Can this user exit be used for this functionality?
We also tried to change in SM59 the type of system of the destination to non-unicode, so that SAP replaces those special characters by #. But, than the error 02. Codepage not found is given in the idoc. Note: the link to the external system is not set up yet, so no actual connection is possible. Is this why we receive this error, and will this functionality work in the end with a non-sap system?
    Thanks for helping.
    Kind Regards,
    Bart Pelsmaekers

I faced this problem in many project i implement below logic.
      DATA: c_splchar(2) VALUE '90',
            c_defaultchar(1) type c VALUE '#'.
You have to move one by one character to this function module
              CALL FUNCTION 'URL_ASCII_CODE_GET'
                   EXPORTING
                        trans_char = spl_char
                   IMPORTING
                        char_code  = spl_code.
All non unicode(Better you check) are always greater than 90.
             if spl_code is gt c_splchar.
                move c_defaultchar to c_splchar.
             endif.

  • Inbound MATMAS: layout from Non-SAP system

    Hi
I would like to know how the layout of the inbound MATMAS file(xlm/flatfile) should look like and how will i be able to trigger an inbound update of MATMAS from an external non-SAP system without a middleware system?
    Giovanni
Message was edited by: Giovanni Baumann

    Hi,
It will probably be looking like a IDOC in XML format. You can go to WE60 transaction and look at the XML schema (documentation --> XML Schema), that is how your file with data should look like.
Then your program can pick up the file and pass the data to EDI_DATA_INCOMING function.

  • ALE: Sending IDOC inbound from non-SAP system

    Hi
How does one need to setup the SAP system to accept data from an external non-SAP system. Should one setup some sort of conection to trigger an import to SAP?

    Hi,
On the SAP side you need to create a partner profile in T.code: WE20 of type LS. And add the message type, idoc type in the inbound parameters section of it.
And you must also specify the partner number you created here, on the IDoc control record.
This link from SAP help, will provide some addition data.

  • IDoc adapter with Non SAP systems

    Hi Naveen,
Let me give a use-case in one of our projects ....we have 2 middlewares in our landscape...webmethods and XI...and in one particular instance there was a need to send an FI IDoc from webmethods to XI and forward it to R/3....
In this case, the webmethods was treated like any other sap system for receiving IDoc into XI(with settings in IDX1)...
Hope this might clarify a little bit...
