PB 12.1 Browser Not Appearing

My Browser (the window available via Tools - Browser) has disappeared, and I am not sure how to find it. When I click on the Browser, the main PB window flickers, but the Browser window never appears.
I'm not sure where the Browser window parameters are stored. There doesn't seem to be anything remotely conspicuous in PB.INI. I did check the registry, and found that when I rename the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sybase\PowerBuilder\12.0 key and re-start PB, I can then get the Browser to appear. However -- if I close out of PB, re-open it, and try to open the Browser again, I get the same behavior with PB flickering and otherwise not opening the Browser.
I've used this version of PB (12.1, build 6950) for years and have never had a problem with the Browser before. I can work around the issue by re-naming the registry key as mentioned in the prior paragraph, but that is going to get old very fast. There must be some registry key or other setting that I am missing.

The location and size of the browser window is stored in the pb.ini file. It should look something like this:

Show Inherited=TRUE

When I click on Firefox, it won't open... the icon flashes as if opening but no browser window opens. It also does not appear in the task manager

I click on the icon and it flashes as if opening.... no browser window appears.... I check the task manager to see if it is open but not displayed... nothing in the task manager..
So I uninstalled it leaving my preferences, and reinstalled it but it does the same thing. This time when I went to uninstall it again wiping the preferences away (in case it is those that is causing the problem) the uninstall program said that I had to close firefox first... but it isn't showing up as open in the task manager....
Final though... the last few weeks I have had a page pop up to advertise a need to update this or that, a need to click on this or that... obviously some kind of bug/virus.... help me get firefox going again...
On Windows 7 platform

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

How do I know if private browsing is working? The purple mask does not appear when I click the mask icon. In my privacy settings "Never Remember" is selected.

I'm trying to confirm private browsing is working. Right now I have no way of knowing if it is on or not. The purple mask ,referred to in help, does not appear when selected. I should say in my privacy settings, I have selected "Never Remember" for history.

Do you mean you have checked the box: "Always use private browsing mode"? If so, it's intentional that the private browsing icon isn't displayed as we didn't want Firefox to be showing everyone within view that you're using private browsing mode IIRC.
There are some easy things you can do to confirm that you are in private browsing mode such as visiting a new website and then confirming it doesn't appear in the history window.

Edit web part option does not appear in browser on lists

I've inserted some lists on a wiki page. However, when viewing in the browser the checkbox and the dropdown containing the Edit Web Part option do not appear. On the properties tag I thought I enabled all the correct properties such as Allow Edit, Allow
Minimize etc. What am I missing?

According to your description, my understanding is that the Edit web part option disappeared in the list web part.
I recommend to check if the account has permission to edit the web part, please check the permission of the account in Site Permissions and the list permissions.
Please also check if the target audience is set in the web part.

RoboHelp HTML v9 - Browse Sequence not appearing when generated

RoboHelp HTML v9
New project - eg not converted from previous version
Added a browse sequence as per the help documentation - I've followed the help documentation however when I get to view result of the generated WebHelp - the browse sequence is not present on the topic pages that were added to the browse sequence.
I read previous forum postings for RH8 - where reinstalling or repairing the software seemed to assist - however when I access through control panel - add/remove programs the only option in to Remove RH9.
So I thought I'd ask the question here before uninstalling.
There was also mention of a dll file that needs to be registered on the viewers pc before the browse sequence would appear and if this is the case due to the possible audience for the publish I would not be able to control that.
Any help is appriciated, thanks.

Thanks - I guess I was looking for the page icons that visualized the
sequence for the viewer.
That being said - the navigation arrows are present in my published file
however seem to hold no functionality - while on a topic that is within
the browse sequence clicking the arrows does not move through the
sequence.
I was initially looking for onscreen navigation for a series of topics -
I though browse sequence would do the trick but I think I will move to
another method.

Some Aperture stills not appearing in iMovie 11 Media Browser

Hello all,
I have been importing images into Aperture for a while now and just realized that iMovie (09 and 11) are not reading some of the stills I have stored in it. I have made sure that all my images are stored in an Aperture managed library and not as reference files. When I start up iMovie it takes a while and scans for new videos but I'm concerned with the stills that are not appearing. I can see the project and album titles appearing in the Media Browser but iMovie states that there are no files inside. I've also told Aperture to always share previews with iLife and iWork. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forums.
The fact that you are able to see the Ap library and the project suggests that there maybe no previews available for that project.
At the top of the Library tab is a little cog, within here is an option for previews, also in the Ap preferences is another option for creating previews, check that these are set correctly.

Images rotated in Browser do not appear rotated in Viewer

I have the following problem in Aperture 2.1. I rotate images in the Browser and they appear to rotate just fine, but when loaded into the Viewer the images do not appear rotated. When exported by dragging from the Viewer to the Desktop (or other folder location) the images are not rotated, but when exported via the File>Export>Version command they are rotated.
What gives? Why do the images not appear properly rotated in the Viewer?
System info:
Macbook Pro Core Duo 2.16 GHz
2 GB RAM
Mac OS X 10.5.3

Solved my own problem. Nuked the Aperture preferences and everything seems to be working now.

Videos in iPhoto do not appear in iMovie event browser

After successfully importing 60 or so video clips into imovie:
Clips appear and function normally in iPhoto.
Clips do not appear in iMovie event browser unless they are 4 seconds in length or less.
Previous imports from the same camera worked fine.
It started happening after the most recent software updates.

Deleting the prefs did for it to activate this scan:
Upadating iPhoto video events
Scanning for new videos in your iPhoto library
But it still shows no videos in the iPhoto Video part of the Event Libary. I am using iPhoto 8.0.6 under MacOS 10.7.5.
When I choose Show Date Ranges in Events list under iMovie preferences, it shows Feb 24, 2008. What does that mean? What happened on Feb 24, 2008? I have over 1000 movies in my iPhoto Library ranging from 2005 to present.
Any other ideas? Someone suggested removing the "&" symbol from the titles of Events, which I did. Should i also remove the "&" symbol from the titles of the photos and movies? What about other symbols like ":". It seems crazy that Apple would make their software so fragile that ASCII symbols could break it.

my pics and videos do not appear in the video browser? How do I get it back. I may have denied IMovie access to my pics and videos when opening the app for the first time.

I have the same issue (iPad 3, iOS 6). I have tried to:
-erase all projects on the iMovie
-reset the iPad
-uninstall iMovie and reinstall it
None of these three things worked and I am at lost in terms of what else can be done.
All that happens when I start a new project is that under "videos" there is a big black box (empty videos). Same thing for pictures. When I press the camera button to insert a video from the camera, this works no problem. However, I used to be able to insert videos/pictures from my Camera Roll.

SWF does not appear when returning to browser tab

I got an odd bug report on a web app we are developing.
The swf appears fine for the most part, but is the user has multiple browser tabs open, moves to a differnt tab and then returns to the tab with the swf, the swf does not appear until the mouse scrolls over the swf.
At first glance it would look like the swf is not being redrawn until the user intereacts with it (we are doing a good amount of mosue polling). It it as if to save memory the browser stops displaying the image, and does not redeisplay until we explicitly redraw the stage.
Has anyone run into a similar situyation? I am not sure where to start with this.
Some potentially relevant apsects of the swf:
Most of the objects on the stage have chachAsBitmap set to true and we are applying a gradient mask to most of the stage, so there is a good amount of processing going on and I know thishas caused some other redraw oddities.
The frame rate is set to a very slow 4fps, and movie is controlled from a timmer.
Any leads would be appreciated.
The tester reporting this was using Chrome 9.0.597.107 and Flash player 11.3.300.26

Reading the documentation, it says the frame rate drops typically to between 2 and 8 fps. If I am running at 4 fps, with the swf still throttle down and back up? Hopefully the client will let me up the minimum player version to 11.2

Icons on bookmarks of N97 browser do not appear

when I save a link into the bookmarks the icons not appear in the N97 browser. my old n95 shows them correctly.

Try quitting the Messages app then reset your iPhone. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset the phone. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

Firefox 4 upgrade how do I reset Yahoo toolbar as its does not appear in dropdown VIEW list? Also Norton Internet Security 2011 does not flag up safe/unsafe sites on browser. Help

Just upgraded to Firefox 4. My Yahoo toolbar has disappeared and I can't work out how to reset it as it does not appear in the View drop-down list. Also NIS 2011 no longer flags up safe/unsafe sites when browsing.

For the Yahoo toolbar, make sure you have the latest version that is compatible with Firefox 4, available from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/yahoo-toolbar
Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
I do not know about the time scale for updates for other Norton products. Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

The answer is very simple, there is no swf embedded in your page.
Your banner div is empty -
