J'ai mis à jour mon systême vers maverick et depuis il m'est demandé un code pin.
Oh surprise il faut un code pin, je croyais que c'était réservé au téléphones même réflection autour de moi.
Mon macbook est inutilisable.
on me propose de changer la carte mère!!!
n'y a-t-il pas un moyen moins radical de passer outre?

I'm really thinking you may have bought stolen property. Ask the seller why it is locked, and if the device is registered to him/her, to release the registration on Apple's website. Only then, will you be able to re-register the device in YOUR name.

Macbook Air not showing source code

I'm migrating from my MacBook Air to an iMac. When I've chosen my MacBook Air it tells me to wait until the code pops up on my MacBook. The code never seems to pop up on my MacBook Air. I've rebooted my router, and both devises. Some help would be splendid!
What I'm doing:
Migration of internet
Both devises are up to date
My older devise has limited space
I've set up all my iCloud and iTunes information

Text/Code when start and shut down MacBook Air 11.6

I just got a MacBook Air 11.6'' from the Apple store and whenever I start or shutdown, I get code/text appear on the screen for a while. I tried formatting and reinstalling OSx, but it's still there... it reads

Any ideas? I don't want to have to travel 40 miles to swap it at the Apple store.

You could try booting the MBP using the OPTION+COMMAND+R keys and see if it will connect to the Apple servers. This would allow you to install the original OSX . I have my doubts though.

MacBook Air error code page upon startup

If anyone could help, I have no experience or knowledge at all about how to fix my MacBook Air!
Basically I used my laptop as normal last week and upon startup today, a grey error code page appears and I can't get past it, basically my laptop is not usable just now.
The error coding is along the lines of:
Unable to find driver for this platform
Debugger called: <panic>
Mac OS version: not yet set
Something about kernel versions?
I've tried to reinstall my OS X mountain lion but it was taking hours and not making a single bit of progress, can anyone suggest anything? I have no idea which version of Mountain Lion I have/had so I just selected the earliest one...

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Usb pin bend in macbook air(mid 2011,bought in april 2012) demands a complete replacement of the logic board which costs around $500.Is it justified?

I had recently purchased a macbook air mid 2011 in india (surat) and to my surprise two out of four pins of the usb slot on the right side got bent while trying to insert a usb pendrive.I was shocked when the store said that it was a physical damage and it will not be considered in the warranty(apple care protection plan) and i would have to pay around $500 to replace the logic board with the new one since the usb port was directly mounted on it.
I have been using the usb port since the time it had came to market and i know how to plug in a usb drive.There is no case of inserting the usb pendrive inverted as the structure of the usb port itself explains it.
I have already read the discussions on such an issue and many people have got the logic board repaired by the company.
But i will be thankful to the person who has gone through the same situation and put forward his experience about how to get a "fast response repair from apple" in response to this discussion.

Applecare was no help at all. I called and did the complaint. They confirmed that it is registered to me and everything but essetially told me that they cant give me answers as to what is taking so long. They knew a repair was in progress but wanted to set me up with an appointment at an apple store? (the nearest Apple retail store is Billings which is 240 miles away, or about 4 hours). i tell them its at the repair place and they go on to tell me they can send me a box to mail it in and have it reapir by them.. They are trying to shift the blame to the AASP and his rep. But he said he has been trying with very few answers from Apple as well

Why not go to the software vendor websites and check out the specs yourself? The vendor will indicate whether the game you are interested in supports Intel integrated.

Usb 2.0 port on the right side (beside thunderbolt port) of macbook air 13" 2011 is busted, one of the pins inside the usb port is bent, is this replaceable? saw the pix on ifixit that it is part of the logic board.

The fix is a new logic board. It might be tempting to turn off the computer and start poking around inside to fix it yourself but you risk separating the port from the logic board and doing even more damage.
