PB filter to optimise photos in Flash?

Hi, Does anyone know of any PB filters that can be run as part of a Flash project, which could be applied to loaded .jpg's, which would optimise the photo? (i.e. emulate what happens in Photoshop using the "auto tone / contrast / colour" adjustments)
many thanks,
Nick

Told you I probably was missing something obvious.
I was.
Thanks.

  • Adobe web photo gallery - flash gallery 2

I'm using the adobe web photo gallery, flash gallery 2 and I
want to slow down the time it takes for each photo to fade in. I'm
referring to the part that after the image preloader is done and
when the image is transitioning from white into the full image.
I've gone through the code but to no avail. Can someone help me
    with this? Thanks!

Most CS3 Web Photo Gallery Templates are flash free.  They use straight HTML.  Even the ones the change images automatically just use HTML to refresh the page displayed and change the page to the next image.   The Photoshop Web Gallery Template can be edited and customized to better suit your needs.    Adobe has removed Photoshop's Photo Web Galleries from newer version of Photoshop however the Feature can be installed into the newer Photoshop versions.   Adobe added an output module to the Bridge that can create Web Photo Galleries these are mostly Flash based and not easily customized like Photoshop's old Web Photo Gallery templates.
IMO there is nothing wrong with Flash Web Galleries other then mobile tablets and phone do not have flash support. I have yet to see any HTML 5 web gallery with features that match Flash Galleries.  I'm not a fan of Flash web sites or Flash games.  However there are many Flash web photo galleries that perform well and have great features.  I do not particularly want to display my images on small web phones.  If you want to see them on a tablet get a windows 8 pro tablet they should have flash support. I put large images in Web Photo galleries fitted for 1600x1200 displays and count on flash to resize them for the users browsers window.
Here is an example of a Flash web photo gallery. It contains 8 or 9 albums some with additional feature enabled.  All generated in Photoshop with a custom script. http://www.mouseprints.net/albums/
Resize your browser window see the image sizes change use the menu in the bottom of the browsers window to change album and try full screen support.  I only use Flash for Web Photo Galleries.  I'm not selling so I do not need IOS and Android support.

  • Photo Booth flash not working in Maverick or Yosemite

I have noticed that the photo booth flash in Maverick on my Macbook Pro and in Yosemite on my iMac is not working Screen flash is enabled on both.
So this is happening on two different computers. Does anyone know how to fix this? All my photos are so dark on both of my computers using Maverick and Macbook Pro.
It works fine on system 10.6.8 though.
Has anyone else had this problem too?
    Martha

In case anyone is interested in your screen flash not working in the Yosemite or Maverick photo booth application, I finally called Apple today and he kept insisting it was working on his - I asked him to take a pic with the screen flash enabled and then disable it and he said it came out the same. And rationalized that it was because he was in a well lit room. I kept telling him in my old photo booth from system 10.6.8 that my face was lit up and my husband had reflections from his glasses so we went from him wanting me to reinstall my software (I refused since both computers were having the same problem - one using Yosemite and the other using Maverick)  to him finally going into HIS partitioned disk that has system 10.6.8 on it to discover that the flash there reflected off HIS glasses too. Bottom line is he admitted there has to be some flaw that prevented the photo booth flash from working for Maverick and Yosemite. Whew, finally validation!

  • ERROR MESSAGE RE: 'OPTIMISING PHOTOS' ON IPHONE4?

I have an iPhone 4 (bought January 2011).   Everything has been working and synching fine, until now.  I keep getting an error message 'optimising photo 2 of 12' and then the sync stops and I get another error message 'ITunes has stopped working correctly.  Windows will close the programe and notify you if a solution is available' and then it closes down.  Everytime I try to synch the same thing happens.  However, I can synch successfully using my laptop, so maybe it's my PC.  So I deleted and reinstalled iTunes.  That's no better.  Can anyone help?  I can't even work out which '12 photos' it is trying to optimise.
Thanks in advance for any help

Thanks gdgmacguy.   However,  I've just found the answer to my problem.  I was trying to synch a folder which included 12 videos (amongst a whole bunch of pictures/images).  Clearly you can't upload videos to your iPhone4's Photo Library album (even though they were videos taken on my iPhone 4!!).  Daft but I got there.  Now synching fine.
It would be nice if you could have various albums on your phone instead of just Camera Roll and Photo Library (which doesn't allow videos).

  • "Optimising Photos for iPod" Does this affect photos in iPhoto Library?

    Hi,
I have a question regarding syncing pictures which are stored in my iPhoto library with my iPod touch.
I notice when I sync photos I get a message that iTunes is "optimising photos for iPod"
    1) Does this mean that 'quality' of the photos is reduced/compressed?
If so, does this mean that any picture downloaded onto my iPod, it's quality is reduced within iPhoto app.
    or
    2) The original quality of the photo is unchanged within iPhoto and it's only the synced photo which is 'optimised' for the sync process?
    I hope this makes sense!
    Thanks...........

    Hi Dave,
Don't worry, iTunes only mangles, er I mean "optimises" the photos on your Touch.
The originals will stay intact on your computer, if you look in the photo file you sync with there should be another file called "iPod Photo Cache" where the marmalised ones are stored.
    Dud.
ps. any photo, regardless of size gets butchered to a max of 640x480 and file size approx 650kb.

  • When I use the marquee tool the photo starts flashing on and off?

Hi when I am using the marquee tool the photo keeps flashing on and off and turning black?

I am not sure what you are asking, or about what Adobe software.
This is the Adobe Reader forum; Adobe Reader does not handle images.

When I try to sync my I Pad to goes through to optimising photos then I tunes pops up with a message saying it has stoped working (crashes) you have to close it down then re-open.

Either sync less or delete some media from your iPod. You are trying to sync mor that 3.1 GB to the iPod.

  • Filter all photos with flash light ...

    Hi,
how can I filter all photos that were made with a flash light?
I only can find ISO or aperture options in the filter pane.
Can I extend the filter pane by own filter options?
    Thanks
    Konrad

The Filter Pane, at least in CS3, is limited as to how you can arrange your photos by the topics listed.
If you want to list all the pictures you shot with flash you will have to use the Find function (ctrl F) and set the critera boexs to Flash, exists, and Fired.  Have not tired this but should work.
You can save this as a collection if you want to refer to it again.

  • In Photoshop CS4 extended, trying to apply sepia filter to a photo, need help

I've been re-watching the videos on smart filters, and also I remember having seen one video (either in NAPP or here or on Lynda.com) where one can make a nice sepia tone color for a photo. I see the option in the filter menu, at the bottom of the layers panel, and one can choose sepia, and then a layer appears, called photo filter 1, above my "smart object" image, but then I don't see any change. What do I do next, to get the sepia effect applied over my original (now smart) image? Can someone take me from there, or give me a reference to the training video that covers this?
    Thanks in advance.

Here's two other ways when in cmyk, but the settings below may need some
tweaking depending on which cmyk profile your using and your idea of what sepia
    should look like.
For these to work, you'll have to desaturate the layer: To retain the smart
object, you could double click on the smart object icon, then in the image
that opens, go to Image>Adjustments>Desaturate and then save. This will
update the smart object in your original image.
    1. Add a Color fill adjustment layer and set the layer blending mode to either overlay, softlight
       or color.
    2. Use a color balance adjustment layer and only adjust the Midtones.

  • Accidently set a photo to flash up on every call

I have a xpress 5800 and last week I accidently set a photo in my gallery to flash up every time a number rings that I have not assigned a photo to or a number I do not know rings. Despite 3 emails to nokia and 3 acknowledgements of these emails and a promise to get in touch they have not bothered. Can anyone help me to undo what I've done? I cannot find any help in the booklet about it.
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Try this:
Menu > Settings > Personal > Themes > Call Image
Select "theme image" to go back to the default, "none" to have no call images or "user defined" to set a new picture.
If the image is assigned to a specific contact you need to change that in the contacts section. If you need help post exactly how it's behaving (i.e. every caller, certain callers etc).

  • Lumia 620 Photos with Flash Washed Out?

May I find out if this is normal or there might be a fault with my phone? I'm running the Amber update on Lumia 620
The photo on the left has flash turned on and it is noisy and off color. Using flash appears to give the photo a washed out / instragram look.
Both photos were taken in natural light.

hi mate, i have experienced some of the issues that others have faced here with the Amber update. the Amber update bought even more saturated colouring, and apparently there will be a return to natural colours in the upcoming Lumia Black update, due to land in early 2014.
