PB G4 to MacBook Pro iTunes Transfer

Question

G4 screen blew out and is no longer viable, I am able to Hot sync from G4 to MB Pro.
Transferred my music to the MB Pro but when I go to Sync with iTunes on the MB Pro it says I am not hooking up to MY iTunes and it will remove the data I have. How do I transfer my info to the new Laptop not just the Music?

odd. in order for this to happen, you would have to have pointed iTunes to the G4 rather than the MBP
I can't disconnect from the G4 when iTunes is Open and when I close and reopen i get the exclamations points next to the tunes from the G4 but no tunes.
i'm stumped. the only other thing i can think of is
a) get an external USB drive
b) hook that up to your MBP
c) connect G4 and MBP with a firewire cable, boot the G4 in _*Target Disk Mode*_
d) using the finder, copy the iTunes music folder from the G4 to the external HD
e) shut down the G4
f) option launch iTunes on the MBP and choose to create a new library
g) repopulate the new library with the content from the external by option dragging the folder containing the media files from the external into an open iTunes window. option drag whatever content is already on the MBP, too.
h) in preferences > advanced, make sure iTunes is pointed to your internal iTunes music folder and both +keep iTunes media folder organized+ and +copy files+ ... are checked
i) consolidate your library
all your ratings and playcounts will be lost but above should put an end to your troubles.
