Pb installing lightroom 5

i have just recently subscribed to Photoshop/Lightroom CC and was running a Mac os 1.6.8. Lightroom would not install so i had to upgrade to a newer version of OS, and upgraded to Maverick. Still, i cannot install light room. This time the Adobe App Manager doesnt give me an Error 7 as before, just says there were errors and installation failed. When i click on "more details" it opens a page in Safari to this address : file:////tmp/50415809-D9DB-4673-9061-329684992018/Summary.htm
which doesnt produce anything.
So: what's wrong ?? and how to install LR ??

Do you have any other Adobe Creative software currently installed? You may also want to try installing under a new Administrator account. Download it from Adobe. I doubt Lightroom 2 will run correctly on a new Mac that probably came with OS X 10.10.

Your photos remain in place, the catalog you have been using will remain. After you install Lightroom from the CC, all you have to do is open your existing catalog and continue right where you left off.

Problem with installing Lightroom 2 onto Macbook Pro running OS10.6.8 - any ideas why it will not install??

To be able to work on my older laptop on location I wanted to install Lightroom 2 onto a MacBook Pro which runs 10.6.8
It stops at the end of the installment and tells me to contact Adobe for info.... that's nit very easy anyway.

If you have 1 license of Lightroom 5, you can install it over 2 machines but you can use it 1 at a time.

I just bought a new PC laptop and installed Lightroom 5.7 on the new one but none of the photos that are in Lightroom on my old PC computer are on the new one.
I have several photos that I am working on in the old computer which is dying and not very reliable any more.
How do I find the photos on my old computer and get them into Lightroom on my new computer?

You would need the catalog and the images from the old computer if you want your work that you have done previously. You will have to copy the images and the catalog from your old computer to the new one. Don't you know where you imported images to?

Installed Lightroom 5 on iMac. When it asked where I wanted to save everything, I opened the box to view options. I did not select anything different. Then I received an error message - An error occurred when attempting to change modules. Ideas?

Thanks for your response, but if you read my first mail, it's the original serial number that I don't have. I bought the original LR as download and have misplaced the serial number. Is there any way to find it???

How do I install Lightroom 6 and active it using serial number while I'm a Adobe CC subscriber?

I'am a Adobe CC for photographer subscriber and I have activated the new Lightroom CC on my desktop computer and one of my laptops. Yesterday, I redeem a Lightroom 6 serial number from Leica product purchasing.
When I install lightroom 6 on my another laptop, the installer asked me to login using my Adobe ID to which my subscription bundled. I could not find a place to input the serial number and after I logged in, it activated as Lightroom CC but not Lightroom 6.
