Pb mail icon which doesn't want to go away!

Hi,
i've got a pb with my bb curve 8520, the "new mail" icon stay there after the mail was read or delete! I called my operator's hotline who told me to format my phone. I did it and i now checked my email, it was alright. Then i got a new mail, i deleted it straight after reading but the trouble is back, the icon still there, telling me a new mail arrived! and it's staying until i format it again!

Hey I was able to solve the problem!!!! Using the disk search utility I searched for *{BE5B0450...45b}* the string of characters that appears in the error message. And there where 3 directories with that name. I deleted those directories and now I can copy FLAC files without problems. I wonder why companies are so inrresposible and don't provide an unistall option that remove all their stuff from your system. Leaving a disk and registry bloated with garbage that you no longer use.

HA! It turns out, that an app that I've never used before, became active during a time that I was multitasking and didn't realize it. I didn't notice the effects right away, because my main desktop has a special 3D desktop generator called, bumptop, which covers over any other desktop color or graphic in that area. So it wasn't until I swiped to go to a different desktop, that I noticed the random slideshow being displayed. All fixed now. What a relief.

Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and use the minus sign "-" at the bottom to remove any and all accounts that you don't want in Mail.

Purchased an eBook which doesn't want to open in Adobe Reader

The book requires Adobe Digital Editions to open but this program is not available on iPad. When I try to open the PDF in Adobe Reader on iPad it asks me for a password which I don't have. Any advice?

After upgrading to Snow Leopard two weeks ago, I get a little square grey box under the upper-left Apple icon which doesn't move and blocks the back arrow and three buttons for minimizing, deleting, etc. Why?

Help BB desktop manager is encroached in my system and doesn't want to go away

Hi, I'm using Windows 7 Pro. I'm no longer using a RIM BB device. The problem is that I unistall the blackberry software (using the unistall option provided by the program), but then when I copy, specificly FLAC music files, to my android device (windows see the android device as a camera device with no drive letters assing), the blackberry desktop manager tries to run but since it was "unistalled" it returns an error. It tries to run up to 5 times and after that the files get copied. If I want to copy many flac files at once the blackberry desktop manager tries to run 5 times for each file. I first check with windows device manager and found two entries for rim blackberry under ports and remove the drivers but the problem repeated. Then I use a disk search utility and found many blackberry residual garbage files and proceded to delete those as well but the problem persist. Then I use a registry utility and found many RIMBB, RIM, Blackberry residual registry entries bloating the registry and proceded to delete those as well but the problem continues. At this point you can see that the unistall tool provided by Blackberry suck because it left a lot of garbage in your system. I also tried using CCleaner but it didn't found anything related to blackberry. So some sorft blackberry garbage leftover is still encroached in my system and since I use the unistall tool, remove the drivers and there are no files with the name RIM, RIMBB or blackbery on the disk and no more registry keys with those name can be found how do I get rid of Blackberry for once and for all???? TS1702 How do I get rid of rented movie which doesn't download?

I rented a movie a few days ago which doesn't want to download. I want to now get rid of the rented film so I have room to rent others. Does any one know how to get rid of the troubled film?

Try rebooting/resetting your iPad and see if the download completes.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't work, try swiping across the progress bar on the movie download and see if the red delete button will popup. But I assume if the movie will download, you would want to watch it rather than waste the money.

Please help, I've accidentally clicked on help in photoshop and was very busy with an assignment and now it doesn't want to go away. It says Unable to display online help. Connect to the internet and try again.....blablabla.... then OK, for the life of me I've clicked on OK many many times, it doesn't want to close and there is no escape or close button (x), I've even connected to my internet and it's still the same story. Please tell me this have happened to atleast one of you, I don't want to lose all my work ;(

What operating system? If Windows, open the Task manager > Applications tab. Click on your browser, and End process.

HT4623 I updated my phone yesterday to ios7.0.4 and have lost the mail icon along the bottom of the screen which sits with safari, phone and the music icon. Has anyone else experienced this?

my phone is an iphone 4 and after the update to ios7.0.4 yesterday, i have lost all email facility. I dont have any email icon or button across the bottom of the phone which sits next to the phone, safari and music buttons. Has anyone else experienced this?? Thanks in advance

The Mail app cannot be deleted, so it is there somewhere. Look at all of your other Home screens to see if you can find it.
If you cannot, do a spotlight search to see if it got accidently moved into a folder: swipe down in the center of the screen to bring up the search bar - type in Mail - you should see the Mail icon in the search results. If it got moved into a folder, you will see the folder name on the right side. If it is in a folder, open the folder, and tap and hold the Mail icon until it wiggles, then slide it out and back to the place where you want it to be.
If that doesn' work, you can also go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This will move all of your icons into the original order that they were on the phone. You may have to move stuff around after this to where you want it to be, but all of the Apple system apps will be on the first Home screen.

How can I remove an icon from my desktop that doesn't want to go?

I was unsuccessful in installing a particular program, so I thought I would just "wipe the slate clean" and try again. Unfortunately, the icon on my desktop doesn't want to go. Every time I try to move it into the TRASH, a note on the screen says, "The icon "iScrobbler" cannot be moved to the trash because it is open".
I've turned the computer off and on again, and I've tried the DELETE button, but the icon remains on my desktop. How can I remove it?

There can be many reasons why a file "doesn't want"
something. But you may be able to replace the file if
you can rename it. Follow the steps here:

If that doesn't help, you may need to delete it using
root user privileges. That's a very advanced and
risky method so you should consult with someone who
is experienced with that process. I have done it many
times to delete goofed files that have a mind of
their own.
It didn't work, I'm sorry to say, but thanks for the idea. As to the "root user privileges" method, I wouldn't even consider it. My computer "skills" are definitely not at the level for trying anything that could be described in those terms. Still, there is hope. I found the creator of the program and sent him an e-mail message this morning.
Finally, I'd like to thank you again for your extraordinary performance. Talk about "service above and beyond.." well, that certainly describes you. I somehow feel that if you couldn't...no, no, let's not say that, let's just hope that the program's creator will be able to help. Thanks again for what you have done.

Dragging an images from Safari to the mail Icon doesn't embed image

Hi all - I was wondering if there was a way to change the following default functionality:
If I drag an image to the Mail icon in the dock, it will open an email with the address of the image as text.
What i want is for the image to be embedded in the email.
I can go to Mail, open a new mail, then go back to safari and drag the image and it works fine, but I'd just rather have that happen when I drag the image to the Mail icon.
Any suggestions?

Mail Icon in bar not synced with Mail which I log into thru Mac Mail

Clicking on the Mail icon in bar gives me a list of emails in alphabetical order, going back years. I'm certain I've deleted many of these, but they're still there. No mail received recently goes here - the only way to get my mail properly is to log in to MobileMe using passwords etc [before that, Mac mail] which can be tiresome if I just want a quick check.
How can I sync these two, so that whatever arrives/ is deleted /is sent appears in both locations exactly the same?

Mail icon doesn't let me send emails

I've had my macbook a few years now and everything has been working fine, until a few days/weeks ago. My mail icon on my taskbar doesn't let me send emails any more. it receives emails and has always worked in the past, but now I have to log in to the internet and google to send emails, which has limited abilities compared to the mail icon. I have recently updated my operating system to Yosemite, any ideas ?

Mail icon Bounces but doesn't open

when I try to open my mail the mail icon bounces once in the dock and then nothing happens. I have auto update so i'm running the latest software. I can retrieve my mail from a website but I can't see my contacts or anything. No other application seems to be affected.

Have you tried repairing permissions?
That is always the first thing I do when something doesn't behave as expected.
Choose HD> applications>Utilities>disk utility. Open it and click on your hard drive icon, then choose repair permissions from the bottom of the panel. I don't usually bother to verify first but someone might disagree with me
Let it run.
I usually go off and have a coffee break or something.
I also take a shot of the finished permissions so that if I have to give anyone information for troubleshooting I have a report of it.
a selective screen shot can be taken by using shift+command[apple key}+4 [all at the same time]
this puts a "pneg picture" on your desktop. I change the name to todays date, keep the pneg extension and file them in a suitably named folder for a month, just to be sure.
Sorry if you knew how to do it. but someone who doesn't might read the post and find it useful.
