Pb when refresh a deski document in webi withe DP on excel

Hi
with deski i create a query based on excel file.
the excel file is located in a shared folder.
My Data Provider use a path like this:
myserver\myfolder\myexcelfile.xls
It works very fine.
then i export the document into the repository and when i try to refresh it with Infoview it doesn't work anymore ;-((
error dma 0007: too standard msg ;-(
Note: everyone has full rights on the folder
any idea (not to copy all the excel file on local server drive ! it works)

Hi Gil,
In this case, the DeskI Report Server is not able to identify the source i.e. the excel file.
The reason may be that the service account running the DeskI Report Server needs access to the network share (i.e. it'll have to be a system account or the share will need to be open to everyone).
Probably, we will be able to refresh the deski report when the DeskI Report Server runs on the account that has rights on the Network drive.

Once you open the files in the new version you can't open them in the old version. Pick one version to use (have to be 9 now as you already have converted files)

I have a similar issue with my Home Sharing. Everything plays just fine on my Apple TV except when I try to play a movie using Home Sharing. If I choose the same show or movie from the Purchased section of iTunes it works just fine but nothing ever loads for me on Home Sharing.

When I open a document in Firefox with Adobe Reader 9, I am unable to print it (no problem when using Internet Explorer)

I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit), using Firefox 8.0. When I open a document with Adobe Reader 9, I am unable to do anything with it (print, save, etc.) other than view it. When I use Internet Explorer I don't have this problem.

Not sure what you mean by truncated troubleshooting report, but here's what I copied from "troubleshooting" under "help". My printer is selected as the default printer in Devices and Printers. Also, remember that a document that won't print in Firefox prints fine in Internet Explorer.

How do I show/refresh data from an Access Web App in an Excel spreadsheet saved in a Document Library on Sharepoint 2013 online

I have an Access 2013 Web App in my Sharepoint 2013 online website. It contains a query to report on its data (several, actually, but let's keep it simple). I want to connect an Excel spreadsheet to the query, visualise the data in pivot tables/graphs/whatever,
save the spreadsheet in a Document Library, and let other team site Sharepoint users open the spreadsheet (preferably in Excel online, but with Excel client if it has to be) and see/copy the data, refreshed with the latest information from the Access Web App.

The way I'm doing it at the moment is to create an ODC file to connect to the cloud-based Access 2013 database, save that ODC in a Data Connection Library in the SP site, and use the saved ODC file as data source in the Excel spreadsheet. This works and
successfully keeps everything 'in the cloud' but I can't get it to refresh in Excel Online, and if I open the spreadsheet in Excel Client I have to enter the database password every time to refresh it. I don't really want to issue this password to everyone
who might want to view the data. There must be a better way than this ODC method, I suspect.
Googlings on this have led down various blind alleys - Excel Services, PowerPivots, Web Parts - but I'm stuck on which to follow through. Please, someone, point me to an article/book/website that explains how to do this step-by-step in simple language..

I don't see any quick way of achieving it - at least there's no such functionality exists in SharePoint. All you can do, develop an event receiver that will update the fields in the list item once the excel file is added/updated. You can use OpenXml API
to manipulate the excel file.

When refreshing screen, another tab pops up with a file document and the download screen.

Each time I refresh the screen another tab opens. It looks like:

I am assuming this is different depending on which screen I refresh. It also brings up the download screen too. Why?

I have a problem with my Mac OS X Lion when using Remote Desk Connection or VPN with Wifi.

I know it's the wifi configuration problem since it all works if I connect to the internet with a cable.

Need some more details; are you getting any error messages? If you go to System Preferences > Networks what does it say under Airport?

Can't run Deski documents in XI Release 3

We have recently installed XI Release 3 in our development environment with the intention of migrating from release 2. Most things work fine. For instance we can create and run Deski documents, and, create and run Webi documents. What we can't do is run Deski documents via Infoview. When refreshing a Deski document we get the "Refreshing Data" dialogue box but a couple of seconds later the dialogue changes to one with the title "Refreshing Data" but with the red X circle and an OK button on it - it's basically a blank dialogue box.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this problem?
We are running this on a Windows Server 2003 SP2 with a DB2 8.1 repository. We are also using Tomcat 5.5.20.

Did you look at the Windows event log to see if it provided any hint? Does this happen with other forms or with a simple test form? Also, look at the dump file in the <OraHome>/forms90/trace folder to see if it provides a clue.

SaveAs Document Failed ... Deski document being saved to Favourites folder in Webi

I have been unable to work out what access right is needed for Webi users to be able to save a Deski document to their Favourites folder. We have some migrated documents containing features that will not convert to Webi so have had to allow access to the Deski documents in the repository. Anyone in the Administrators group can successfully save the Deski documents but other users cannot and get the message:
SaveAs Document Failed (80043761)
The same group of users can view and refresh the document without any problem. They can also use 'Save to my computer as' without any problem.
For an example group of users they have:
1. View on Demand set on the universe2. View on Demand set on the universe connection3. View on Demand set on the folder containing the document4. Log on to Desktop Intelligence and view this object in the CMC set for the Desktop Intelligence application5. Save Desktop Intelligence Documents set for the Desktop Intelligence application6. Full Control of their Favourites folder.
I've even tried changing the View on Demand settings to Full Control but it made no difference.
What have I missed?

I have a deski publication report , which run sucessfully evry day but once in a while fails giving this error.

When we run this report again it run fine.
I am really wondered why this is happpening.

Our users are receiving the following error within WEBI when oppening DESKI documents. "Cannot open document. (Error: INF). WEBI files open fine, DESKI files do not.
I want to break something.

We are also having the same issue - personal (i.e. my favorite) Webi documents saved prior to today cause the error: Value Cannot be Null (Error:INF). New Webi documents or documents in the corporate repository are functioning properly.

Error when refreshing WEBI report with Universe Connection Type "SSO"

Hi Experts:
We are trying to refresh the Webi report in Infoview with Universe Connection set as "Use Single Sign On when refreshing the report at view time", so that we can leverage SAP OLAP authorization variable from Bex Query which the Universe is built on.
However got the error of "incomplete logon data" after all the configurations done following below blogs:

We already have Win AD SSO to SAP setup, and in BO CMC, Win AD user is mapped to SAP user ID.
The SNC settings are:
- AD Account: service.test.bobj (all lower-letters)
- 32-bit gsslib on the BO server, and 64 bit on the BW server side.
- SNC0: p:service.test.bobj at DOMAIN
- SU01 --> BO_Service ; SNC: p:service.test.bobj at DOMAIN
- Entitlement system tab --> username: BO_Service
SNC Name: p:service.test.bobj at DOMAIN
- SNC settings tab:
SNC Lib: c:\winnt\gsskrb5.dll
Mutual Authentication settings: p:SAPServiceBP0 at DOMAIN
In CMC, the role can be imported if "RFC activated" option unchecked in SNC0.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, we are trying to set up server side trust and enable SSO; but we still couldn't success.
What we did is:
1. We followed installation guide chapter 6, generate certificate and PSE, etc. All looks good.
2. Then we still have the "incomplete logon data" error when refreshing webi report after logon using Windows AD user ID.
3. Then we trace the PFC connection, the log is as below. We checked several BO notes, e.g. 1500150, 1461247.. The part bothers us is that we even don't have URI displayed in the log when system trying to use SNC, and we couldn't get more info on this which make us very difficult to diagnosis.

No version of Pages will allow images to be links. We always got around this by bracketting the image with text and making the link in that.
Pages 5 has lost the ability to have cross links in pdfs and seems to have a bug that disables any links after the first page.

Found a note explaining the significance of these errors.
It says:
"NZE-28862: SSL connection failed
Cause: This error occurred because the peer closed the connection.
Action: Enable Oracle Net tracing on both sides and examine the trace output. Contact Oracle Customer support with the trace output."

document from BOXI server(CMS) to local machine, pass parameter, execute and

drive? Most examples and tutorials in BO XI R2 I've seen are scheduling while drilling report is for web intelligence only and not desktop intelligence. Please let me know your ideas. I would really appreciate your help. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.The file is not available in the server. Though, I checked CMS and I found an instance in history tab and the status is failed with error below.
Error Message:
A variable prevented the data provider Query 1 with BANRRD30 from being refreshed. (DMA0008).When I checked my codes, I found out that the object Im using is for web intelligence data provider. However, I cannot find any documentation and example for passing parameter values in desktop intelligence data provider. Any idea on this? You think this is not suported by Report Engine SDK?Thanks.
