Pb with advanced routing - RV082

Hi,
I got a problem to configure the static routing in advanced routing options : i fill in all the fields, including destination ip (192.168.1.10). When i add it to the list, all is ok, but when i clic on save or come back in this menu, the destination ip change to 192.168.1.0 !! I got the latest firmware, is there any way to fix it ?
Thanks

  • Problem with Advanced Routing in WRT320N

    Hi, everybody.
First of all, sorry for my poor English.
I've a problem with Advanced Routing in router. My provider using routing and it looks like that:
    route add -p 172.16.2.0 mask 255.255.255.0 10.1.0.2
    route add -p 172.16.5.0 mask 255.255.255.0 10.1.0.2
    route add -p 10.0.0.0 mask 255.0.0.0 10.1.0.2
Everything is working well in XP (or other OS), but then I try to setup a Routing in router:

  • Problems with Advanced Routing using two links

    Hello Guys
    I have ths following situation
On my notebook i'm connected through wlan0 to my router and also connected through usb0 to my mobile phone 3g
This is what i want to do:
The ports of torrents and emule uses usb0
    All the rest (80, 443, 25, 143, 22, etc) uses wlan0
So im going to have one link dedicated to my downloads and another to the rest.
    Useful info:
    ip wlan0: 192.168.1.100
    gw wlan0: 192.168.1.1
    ip usb0: 192.168.100.100
    gw usb0: 192.168.100.254
    Here is what I'm doing
    I created a table called 3g on /etc/iproute2/rt_tables
    Then
    iptables -t mangle -A POSTROUTING -p tcp --dport 51413 -j MARK --set-mark 2
ip route add default via 192.168.100.254 dev usb0 table 3g
ip rule add fwmark 2 table 3g
    ip route flush cache
It doesn't work, if I set another rule on ip rule like:
ip rule add to SOME_IP lookup 3g
When I access SOME_IP it uses the usb0 link as it should
But the packages that uses the port 51413 doesn't goes out through usb0
I checked it using bwm-ng and iptables -t mangle POSTROUTING -nvL (few packages are getting the mark 2) so I think the error it's here
Does anyone knows what could it be?
    Thank you,
    Wagner

  • Yoga 13 - Wifi Issue with Verizon FIOS Advanced Router

In an effort to boost the Internet Speed for my wireless devices in my house I upgraded my Verizon FIOS router to their Advanced Router. I had noticed that all of my Wireless Devices were unable to get any more speed than 25/25, when I get 75/35 to my home. I discovered that my router was the issue. So I upgraded and was instantly able to reconnect all of my wireless devices and laptops without any issue, except my Lenovo Yoga 13. It kept getting an error that it could not login to the SSID I would give it. It would see it, but when I put in the password it would fail to connect andd give me a message indicating the same. So I thought I may need to download a newer driver. The Yoga would still attach to my hotspot, so I downloaded the latest WLAN driver. It still would not work, but I notced that it did not dump the old driver, so I deleted it and then I could not attach at all to anything. So I used another unit downloaded all off the WIreless and Bluetooth drivers I could find on the Lenovo site for Windows 8.1 and loaded them back up. I am now able to login to my new router but I get worse speeds than I did before. Now I get 10/20. But I also saw that there are now a bunch of bluetooth and wireless drivers in loaded in control panel, so before I delete any, do I need them all? Are they stepping on each other? What ones are definitely needed? Has anyone gotten anymore than 25/25 out of the Lenovo drivers? And did they ever succeed in hooking it up to a Verizon FIOS Advanced Router?
    Let me know!
    Thanks!

I went into the router and set a static IP address for the ipad (in the low 200's dont use the 100's its for your fios cable dvr's). You will first have to shutdown the ipad (not just sleep). Then delete the ipad from the connection list in the fios router. The instructions from the fios router pdf are below. I am on 24 hrs and even with wep and no fixed channel I have had no problems.
To define a new connection with a fixed IP address:
    1. Click New Static Connection in the DHCP Connections screen. The “DHCP Connection Settings” screen appears.
    2. Enter a host name for this connection.
    3. Enter the fixed IP address to assign to the computer.
    4. Enter the MAC address of the computer’s network card.
    5. Click the OK to save changes.
☞ Note: A device’s fixed IP address is actually assigned to the specific
network card’s MAC address installed on the network computer.
If this network card is replaced, the device’s entry in the DHCP Connections list must be updated with the new network card’s MAC address.
To remove a host from the table, click the appropriate “Delete” icon in the Action column.

  • Advanced Routing with WRT120N

    Hi there.
A few months ago I configured my former router (WRT54G2) for a OpenVPN. I forwarded the port 1194 and in Advanced Routing I used to have this configuration:
    Route Name: openVPN
    Destination LAN IP: 192.168.10.0
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.128
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.106  (this is the Server OpenVPN IP)
    Interface: LAN & Wireless
Everything was working like a charm. Because the WRT54G2 became damaged, I bought a WRT120N and I'm trying to achieve the same for my OpenVPN. But, I'm having problems in Advanced Routing section. Now I see some different options (NAT, RIP). Leaving those options with their default values, I enter the data for the Static Route (posted above) and I'm getting the error "Destination LAN IP is not valid", and doing combinations of NAT and RIP options brings the same error.
Do someone know which would be the equivalent configuration (as posted above) but for WRT120N?
    I really appreciate your help.
    Kind regards.

Choose the correct working mode for NAT. Keep the default setting, Enabled, if the Router is hosting your network's connection to the Internet (Enabled mode is recommended for most users). Select Disabled if the Router exists on a network with other routers.
Dynamic Routing (RIP): This feature is not available with NAT enabled.
Dynamic Routing enables the Router to automatically adjust to physical changes in the network's layout and exchange routing tables with other routers. The Router determines the network packets' route based on the fewest number of hops between the source and destination.
    1. To set up a static route between the Router and another network, select a number from the Static Routing drop-down list. (A static route is a pre-determined pathway that network information must travel to reach a specific host or network.)
    2. Enter the following data:
Destination IP Address - The Destination IP Address is the address of the network or host to which you want to assign a static route.
Subnet Mask - The Subnet Mask determines which portion of an IP address is the network portion, and which portion is the host portion.
Gateway - This is the IP address of the gateway device that allows for contact between the Router and the network or host.
    3. Depending on where the Destination IP Address is located, select LAN & Wireless or Internet(WAN) from the Interface drop-down menu.
    4. To save your changes, click the Save Settings button. To cancel your unsaved changes, click the Cancel Changes button.
Click the Show Routing Table button to view all of the valid route entries in use. The Destination IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, and Interface will be displayed for each entry.

  • Ethernet configuration with SMC router and Titanium

This concerns a Titanium Powerbook G4/500 and an SMC 2804WBR router.
I plugged in a known-working Ethernet cable, and in System Preferences/Network, under Network Status for Built-In Ethernet, I got the message "The cable for Built-In Ethernet is not plugged in." A hardware test shows the Ethernet port to be functioning, but the TCP/IP tab, set for Using DHCP, shows no IP address, subnet mask, or router address. Renewing DHCP lease accomplishes nothing.
I went to the Ethernet tab and set the drop-down to Manually (Advanced) instead of Automatic. With a little experimentation I found that 10baseT/UTP in either full- or half-duplex connects with the router and lets the machine go on the Internet, but 100baseTX will not. The router lights for link and 100baseTX go on, but no addresses appear in the TCP/IP tab.
I use 100baseTX with a G4 and a Pismo Powerbook, so I know the router can work just fine at that speed using an Ethernet cable. Is there some glitch or weirdness peculiar to the original G4 Powerbook that won't allow it to communicate with the router at full speed? Is there some configuration through Terminal or elsewhere that will fix that?

    Hi,
the PVDM is used when you E1/T1 interface. in your scenario you need to configure SIP trunk between your Voice GW and ISP.
you need to confirm the below settings:
    Codec

  • Limitations on Using Human Task advance routing rules and stages

In one of our requirement we have used human task with different number of stages (14 stages ) and for all this we are using only one human task component and to route the task through different stages I am using advance routing rules (30 rules),we have exposed this through  bpel .My code is working fine .
    My question is:-
1- Do this kind of design contain flaws, is there is any restriction on using of number of stages and number of routing rules. Is there is any best practise which suggests that we cannot have more than certain number of stages or routing rules..??
2-Is it feasible to use different human task component for each of the human task stages and route the data using business rule, but that will be very exhausted and unnecessarily making bpel heavier, also the front end people will be having more number of bpm urls which will make their work tedious.
    Please suggest .
    Thank you

This doesn't sound good. That's an EJB internal to BPEL if I'm not mistaken. Did the install go ok? Has this ever worked before?
I'd check the logs on startup for any sign of an exception. This may be the symptom of a problem which will be logged on startup.
Also, search metalink and open an SR -- this EJB isn't something you need to configure in a normal install -- at least not that I'm familiar with.

  • Cant connect to certain websites with WRK54G router

Hello all, I have a WRK54G router with SBC as my ISP. I am running Windows XP and I can not connect to disneyshopping.com, nor enterprise.com with the router plugged. If I unplug the router and connect the computer directly to the SBC router I have no problems. I use both IE7 and Firefox, with all java and flash updates inplace. If there is something in the settings of the Linksys router I need to change, can somebody please help. Thank you all in advance for your help!

Looks like your DNS servers are no working, check this on how to assign DNS servers and other network info on your computer. If you get the IP and other network info from router, then go to router management page, assign following DNS servers on its DHCP part.
Use these 2 free DNS servers from OpenDNS and try again..Should work..

  • The computer doesn´t respond with my router after been rested

    Hi
I have problems with my router. My Imac will not connect after it has been down.I have to close wi fi and turn it on again.
    Anyone have the same problem?

Try the following, in order, until (hopefully) resolved:
    1a. Delete Preferred Network(s)
    System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Wi-Fi tab
Under "Preferred Networks," delete the network(s) you regularly use from the list.
    1b. Delete AirPort Keychain Entries
Launch the "Keychain Access" application located in Applications/Utilties.
In the windows on the left side: Select login for Keychains and "All Items" for Category.
Click on the "Kind" filter at the top, and look for any "AirPort network password" entries...and delete them.
    1c. Add Preferred Network(s)
    System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Wi-Fi tab
Add the preferred network(s) using the "+" button.
Restart or log out then back in.
    2. Move System Configuration Files
(Note: You will have to reestablish your network connections settings.)
    Go to /Library/Preferences
Move the SystemConfiguration folder to the desktop.
Restart your Mac. (Note: OS X will rebuild the files that are now sitting on your desktop. If this doesn't resolve the issue, you can move the folder back to it's original location.)

  • Airport Express not working with wireless router

I just bought Airport Express to play music on my stereo. My PC running XP is connected to my wireless router (TeleWell TW-EA510v3) with ethernet cable and airport express wirelessly. Problem is that Airport Utility (and iTunes) can't find AE if it's not connected to router with ethernet cable.
I can connect to AE from Aiport Utility by "configure other" option so it's connected to my wireless network correctly.
Is this kind of set up even possible (pc wired to router and AE wireless)? I have tried tried WEP, WPA/WPA2 and no encryption on my wireless network and AE connects ok every time but Airport Utility still can't find it. I even tried to make a WDS network but AE was not compatible with my router. Now I can't come up with anything else to try.
Is there anything else to do? Should I buy WLAN adabter to my PC and would AE work then?
Why can't Apple make Airport Utility to recognise AE with given IP like with "configure other" option? Should not be too hard to program?!

Follow the isntruction lisetd below...they work.
Actually, the ae is a slick device, once you get it to work.
Make sure that one (or both) checkboxes in Airport Utility > Airport Express tab
(middle of page) are not checked...if one or both are checked, they limit (hide) wireless connectivity options (e.g., WEP-64) to choose from.
P.S. You must have patience: it may take a couple of minutes to establish the connection and turn the led to solid green. So, give it a chance.

    OMG!!! You are da man!!!
I have this streaming perfectly now!! Here is what I did for others to see and use (it does work perfectly)
Step 1) Clear/Reset the Airport Express
Step 2) Connect the Airport Express directly to the Router/Modem via Ethernet to set up Wireless
Step 3) Do it via the Manual Set-up Effort Listed Below following:
    AirPort > Base Station
o Base Station Name: <rename or leave default>
    o Base Station Password: <enter desired password>
    o Verify Password: <re-enter desired password>
o Remember this password in my keychain: (optional)
    o Set time automatically: (unchecked)
    AirPort > Wireless
o Wireless Mode: Join a wireless network
    o Network Name: <existing Linksys wireless network>
o Wireless Security: <select the encryption type of the existing wireless network> I have 64bit WEP
(Same as 40bit on the drop down menu)
o Wireless Password: <enter the existing wireless network password>
o Verify Password: <re-enter the existing wireless network password>
    Music
    o Enable AirTunes (checked)
o iTunes Speaker Name: <enter desired speaker name>
    o iTunes Speaker Password: (optional)
    o Verify Password: (optional)
o Click Update to write the new settings to the AX
    In iTunes:
    iTunes > Preferences... > Advanced > General
o Look for remote speakers connected with AirTunes (checked)
Once it congratulates you, unplug the ethernet cable
Verify in Aitport Utility that it still recognizes (if not, repeat the above). Note this may take a few minutes, so be patient.
Now place the airport express with your stereo (or whatever) and again be patient as it tries to find the network
(mine took 4 minutes) then it turns green and you are off listening to music on your stereo downstairs in another room.
Frustrating when it does not work at first, but keep trying and it will work!!
    Thanks everyone for your help!!

  • Is it possible to update the human task payload without using worklist API but only using advance routing rule.

    Hi,
I have one human tasks in BPEL process in which i am using different stages and with using advance routing rules i am routing my task payload to one stage to another. My payload has Task Status and Branch, after approving the human task from first stage I want to send modified value of the Task Status to the next stage without using worklist API or manual updation but only using the advance routing rules,is it possible ??? If anyone have any idea about this than please enlight me with your valuable solutions and  advices...
    Thanx
    Regards

    Hi SamGoe,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to update the PoerPoint slide from SharePoint 2010 slide library automatically.
It seems to be not necessary to use Macros. SharePoint provides an OOB way to notify you to check for update to the slide library slides when you open the presentation. PowerPoint does this because you selected the option
Tell me when this slide changes when you copied the slides from the library.
More information, please refer to the link below:

    I hope this helps.

  • Ipod Touch won't work with talktalk router :(

There are a lot of posts on here about people's itouch not working with certain wifi areas, I think this is one of those but am praying someone out there has an answer and I do not have to wait for an apple update.
I have used my itouch in a few different public wifi zones but cannot connect to my home secured network, it just says unable to join the network 'TalkTalk***'. I know the itouch works online and know the wifi works at home because a laptop, psp & Wii all work off it. Anyone else had this problem and managed to solve it???
    Thanks in advance

    Hey there,
Glad to hear we're getting closer. Looks like you're connected to the network, just not able to utilize it's internet connection.
Let's check your iPod's IP addres. Tap Settings > Wi Fi and look for your network. To the right, there's a blue circle with a white arrow in it. Tap that circle. If the IP address starts out with 169.x.x.x, it is a self-assigned IP address. Since it came from the iPod, and not the router, it can't be used.
I would recommend resetting your iPod's network settings:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
When the iPod restarts, reconnect it to your network and try Safari again.
If it still isn't working, try powercycling your router and resetting those settings at the same time.
    1. Turn off the router
    2. Reset the network settings again, as indicated above
    3. Turn the router back on
    4. Reconnect the iPod to the network
If it still isn't working, let's check your iPod's software version.
    Settings > General > About
If you've upgraded to 2.0, the latest version is 2.0.2. If you haven't upgraded, the latest version is 1.1.5. If you're not at either of those numbers, connect the iPod to your computer and use iTunes to check for software updates for the iPod.
Regarding the router settings, I'm not familiar with your router manufacturer. I'd check their website for instructions on that. I think at this point you wouldn't really need to change any settings, but just check for firmware updates.

  • WRT54GS Advanced Routing for Public Access

    Hi,
I have searched everywhere for what should be a simple task. I have done this with many routers, but this linksys just doesnt want to play ball!
    The senario;
I have a BT wireless router modem which has my private network (192.168.1.x). This is to act as my defaut web gateway (192.168.1.1)
I have this wireless linksys router which is configured with the IP address 192.168.0.1 and allows people to connect (192.168.0.x).  I have pluged the private router (bt router) into the WAN port of the linksys.
I basically want to let public users to connect to the linksys wireless router and get internet access.  I dont want them to see my private network- ie you should not be able to access (192.168.1.x).
I thought that normally it's not possible to see the 192.168.1.x network connected to the WAN port over the 192.168.0.x (public) network; however I can see everything on both the WAN network and linksys router network.
Do I need to use the advanced routing settings?  If so, should the device be configured as a router or gateway?  Should I use RIP and should I put a static route in for the router connected to the WAN port?
I don't expect a full answer, but any guidance would be wonderful!
I think I need to add a static route for the gateway and somehow make sure everything else is blocked?
    Regards,
    Luke.

Of course, everything connected to the Linksys router can see everything connected to the WAN port side or the internet. This is how every standard router works: you have a LAN side which is protected from the internet and you can access everything in the internet.
Due to that, the correct setup for two separated networks is to connect the public network first to the internet connection and then connect the private network with a router to the public network. Basically you would have to swap your two routers.
Unfortunately, the first router is your modem which means you cannot swap them.
There is nothing you can do on the WRT54GS to prevent access to your 192.168.1.* IP addresses. It's not possible.

  • WRT54G Advanced Routing

I currently have a WRT54G as a Gateway to my network.  The ISP connection plugs into the WAN port, and then the WRT54G plugs into a switch, and all other computers plug into the switch.  The router's internal address is 192.168.1.1 /24 and all computers get a DHCP address from the WRT54G from 192.168.1.50-150 /24.
I am putting in a Sonicwall (I will give it address 192.168.1.2) and want the WRT54G to use the Sonicwall as the Gateway; that is, plug the ISP into the Sonicwall, and connect the Sonicwall to the WRT54G, and all other connections remain the same.  I know I have to use Advanced Routing to switch from Gateway to Router mode, but I am unsure what the other settings should be (RIP, Select Set Number, Destination LAN IP, etc.)  The WRT54G must remain in the network.  How can I make this work?

Thanks for replying, but I'm hoping to get some help with this problem.  The device needs to be in the chain, and I have done it before, so I know it can work, but sadly, I did not document how I made it work =/

  • Backup & restore Configuration Cisco router (RV082 & RV042)

    Hi,
I have a small business and I would like to change the current router (RV082) with a new one (RV042), and I'd like to know how to transfer the same configuration in my new router.
    thank you

You can use 3rd party application such as Ghost to back up the drive.
