Pb with agent started successfully and stopped unexpectedly
Hi,
I've got a problem with an agent installed on a w2000 server. the host, the listener is running and databases are discovered normally and following agent, everithing is up. After few minutes, in the grid control, database seems down (but it's not true) and i don't understand why not. Please find my emagent.log.

I can't get the laptop to start. I get to the gray linen screen with a gray apple and stop. It will not ask for log in.
What do I do now?Hold the shift key at boot time, then run through this list, did you install anything recently or perform a update of some third party software? Uninstall it.

Print Que starts, idles and stops with USB printers
I'm trying to print to a HP C3150 USB printer from a G4 laptop with 10.4.9. I print any file, it starts, idles and stops. It also does this with my Dymo 330. I reset the print que several times, repaired the disk permissions, reboot everything and reinstalled my USB printers with the most current drivers available and it still does the same thing. I am able to print to network printers via ethernet without problems. I grabbed current text from Console Utilty application to see if anyone has a solution:

Mac OS X (10.4.9)Two generic things to try:
Download the 10.4.9 Combo updater from Apple and re-update with that.
Reset Printing System, a menu choice in Printer Setup; then restart the Mac and re-Add the printer(s).
If these don't work, we're talking reinstall OS X using the Archive & Install option in the installer. -
My Macbook Pro will be going in for reimaging and my hard drive will be wiped, I want to know if all my iTunes preferences will be copied if I have backed them up on Time Machine. Specifically, if I have set certain "Start Time" and "Stop Time" for my songs, and I copy my iTunes library, will these "Start Time" and "Stop Time" options remain or will I have to manually set them one by one once again? I need a reply ASAP! Thanks so much!
As far as I'm aware the start & stop times are stored in the library database, not the media files. If you backup/restore/transfer the whole library then the settings are included. If you create a complete copy of your iTunes folder on another drive you can connect to that copy by holding down option/alt as you start iTunes so you can check that everything is working properly before you send the Macbook away.

If I set Firefox as my default web browser, the help links on Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash's welcome screens don't connect to the help pages on Adobe's site. It just links to Firefox's start page and stops. The links work properly if Safari is set to the default browser. Please help.

When trying to access certain web pages the browser finds and loads the page then 'over rides' to a blank screen. The page address doesn't seem to change but the tab shows continued 'loading' The status bar at the bottom shows either 'stopped' or 'done'. return re-loads the page then over runs again. Reload does nothing. Usually its a hyperlink from one page to another. It seems random.
Recently it has started to over run into a 'search' type page ie. local yellow pages, local cable company, heavy equipment sales, and things like that. It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and themes and [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins this one] for plugins.
If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.
If the problem does not disappear when all add-ons are disabled, please tell me, so we can work from there. Please have no fear of following my instructions to the line, as all can be easily undone. -

When I try to start my iPad I get theese errors in white on a black screen :
[FTL:MSG] Apple NAND Driver(AND) RW
[FTL] MSG FIL_Init [ok]
[FTL:MSG] BUF_Init [ok]
[ftl:msg] fPART iNIT [OK]
and the iPad stops launch.
I've try all "reset" methods without success.
Has somebody a good idea ?
Bertrand (Fr)Hi
I reply to myself. Apple assistance says : "Pay 250 € for repair"
I suppose they diagnose a breakdown they can't repair by software or resetting.
Here in France we don't have yet the two years waranty as in Italy and perhaps in several years in Europe.
I'll try to get the iPad here in Paris and will go to the Apple Store quickly.
Perhaps they will be in a good day. -
Trouble with menus, scene markers and stop markers
I am using Adobe Premier Elements 7, and Vista home premium.
During playback:
Scenes selected from a main or a sub menu play fine, and then the project plays into the next scenes, without ever going back to the menu again. This happens with main menu markers, as well as scene menu markers.
If I try to change a marker to a stop marker, the project does return to the main/sub menu, but all of the scenes past the stop marker, are no longer on the main/sub menu.
When I change the stop marker back to a scene or main menu marker, the main/sub menu scenes show up again, and I am back to paragraph 1 above.
How the heck do I get the scenes to return to a main/sub menu using stop markers, and still have the scenes beyond the stop marker on the menu?
Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you!The answer is to use another DVD Authoring program. There are no sub menus available in Premiere Elements. This has been a long standing problem and most have went to Sony DVD Architect for their authoring software.
Check out Steve's tip on menu markers and see if there is something you might have missed. But I really think that you won't be able to do what you are trying to do, at least not in Premiere Elements.

Internet will start working and stops on main user, other users work fine
So one day I come upon my computer and it is off, which is weird, I attribute it to power going out (clocks are fine), anyhow, since then, my G5 will not connect to the internet, i have an airport express that has been working fine, it sees the network and will join it, if i open ichat it will open the buddy list and then not show what buddies are online, if it does show what buddies are online, it will let me send one message and then close if someone tries to send me a message back, also with safari, when i click on a page, it starts to load (i think from my cache) and then nothing happens, i made a new user on this same computer and that users works PERFECTLY!! what gives, i'd rather not change my user, also i have a macbook that connects to my network fine, thanks for any help in advance, this is really annoying me
thanks againBasworth-
I'm not running my mac tonight, so i can't look, but there are some "plists" that can be deleted (and which will be recreated when you reboot the machine).
Search the discussions for terms like <network plist settings> or similar.
There seems like there's something messed up in your Preferences that aren't getting correctly set, even when you change preferences. Removing a plist deletes all the goofy settings, and then is put back at default after a restart. THEN when you set the settings, things will "stick".
Mentioning that a New User works...rings a bell, that plist repair MIGHT be in order. -

Having a problem with Agent starting, can't access database, OS is Windows XP Professional. Can anyone shed any light on this?
It starts from last successfully delivered transaction. That means when you stop log reader agent in middle of its processing then it will start from the beginning of the last batch that was in process when it was stopped.
