PC-Cam 935 Slim Flash Problem

I've got this 935 Slim that's not even listed on the site here, so I can't get info.
The flash doesn't often work, even when it is set to do so. What's up? Anyone know?

Can you elaborate? On what instances in which the flash cannot work?
1) Is the flash forced to be ON? or is it at "auto flash" mode?
My understanding from this camera, is that there's only 2 modes for flash - either auto flash or flash disabled.
As with all cameras, if the flash is set to auto flash, the flash will only be fired if the lighting is insufficient.
The flash will not be fired if there is sufficient lighting.
To check if your flash is functioning, just take a shot in a dark room.

After finally digging up the old drivers for the PC-CAM 935 slim, I read through the
manual, and started taking photos. The photos all appear to come out blurry after being
transferred to my PC (Athlon 64 3700+, 1GB RAM, Win XP Pro SP2).
I've set the resolution to different values, tried different lighting, all to no avail.

Well, I discovered a problem which I believe is inherent in this model camera.
The camera takes extremely blurry and underexposed shots when you use the macro mode.
No matter what. The macro mode appears to mess up ANY shot.
After switching to landscape mode, I'm getting much better results. Exposure is about
right for a camera this quality, and focus is much better, though still lacking, to be honest.
Anyone have any other ideas on further improving focus?

My installation CD for my 935 camera is scrach and don't seem to work no more.
I need this pilot to download my pictures in my PC.

I have got problem with my pc-cam 950 slim

I have got problem with my pc-cam 950 slim. When I press the power button, the busy light goes on for seconds then it is shut down again so the camera doesn't work. Please help me with this problem. I tried to connect it to my PC put it didn't work either.

Problem with "stop playing causing camera light to flash

Since ipgrading to ios 5.1 I se that Apple took away the Sleep ipod opton for the timer and relaced it with "stop playing". Unfortunately, wen the timer reaches zero, the phone stops playing but the camera flas starts flashing until I unlock the phone. Besides being annoying, this obviously defeats the purpose of resting the phone and saving battery life. Any suggestions? Note: I do have a flaslight app on the phone in case that makes a difference.

As you can see the code looks pretty correct to me. Ignore the code at the top, that is just for a draggable graphic on the page.

N78 camera flash problem!!!

Hi all. I have just gotten my N78 and I realised my camera works in a weird way.
When I take a shot, with 'NO FLASH' selected, the camera still flashes.
When I take a shot, with 'FLASH ON' selected, the camera flashes, but this time a slightly longer and brighter flash is noted.
Is this normal?
I went to a Nokia phone shop and inquired about the flash. The staff told me it is normal, but when I asked the Nokia Care shop officer, he told me there is a problem with my flash.
However, I was told that my phone cannot be sent for repair yet, as the software is not updated yet. He said the flash was due to a software problem.
Users of N78, does your camera flash when you switch it to no flash?

I posted my problem almost 6 months ago, (I'll paste some of the info below to bring you up to date), but I STILL can't access only FOUR sites because I get a "Plugin file is missing" error, (after my previous post I found 2 other sites). I've been trying to solve this problem off & on, but I got more dedicated the other day because I'll be needing access to these sites very soon. I found some new information today that I hope will solve this awful problem; however, since I'm not very technically inclined I know I have to ask a "Flash Expert", so here goes....
I run Windows 8 & I use Mozilla exclusively. I updated Flash the other day to version 15.0.0.152 & I wanted to make sure the plugins had been updated, so I opened the "Flash Player Settings Manager" & under the "Advanced" tab it lists:
                                        NPAPI Plugin Version 15.0.0.152
                                        PPAPI Plugin Version Not installed
Is it significant that the PPAPI Plugin is "Not installed", or does Mozilla only require the NPAPI plugin?
My second question regards the installation of Flash. I know that when a program is problematic, it sometimes helps to uninstall & reinstall it...I recently had a game that went nuts & that's the procedure I had to do. Also, someone on Mozilla's forum said they were having a Flash issue & they went to your site & downloaded the .exe AND the .msi Installers from the Distribution Page, then manually installed them & their problem was resolved. Would this help me resolve MY Flash problem? If you think it's worth a try, do I have to uninstall Flash first?
Well, that's all the new info I have. I have to figure this out before December because that's when the nest-cam comes back on...I really have to get this problem fixed! I'll paste my previous post below, but I hope the uninstall/reinstall method will be the answer!

I watch several wildlife nest-cams every day running Windows 8 using Firefox 29.0.1, but yesterday morning, (after I'd already watched the 6 cams I view every day), I started getting a solid, black screen with, "Error loading plugin: Plugin file not found", on TWO of these sites.
My attempts to resolve the problem were:
1. Checked all the other web-cam sites I view daily, and there's only a problem on 2 of them.
2. Went to You Tube, Facebook & other similar sites and I can view streaming media.
3. Refreshed pages-when that didn't help, I closed & reopened Firefox & still 2 sites with "plugin loading error"
4. Completely shut-down my laptop & rebooted.
5. Did "System Restore" to earlier in the day when ALL web-cam sites were working.
6. Went to Adobe Flash site & verified that I had the most current version...I do, & I saw the animations on Flash site.
7. Verified my Flash Plugins in Firefox...AGAIN...they're all activated & up-to-date
8. Checked & re-checked ALL the web-cam sites I view every day, (for, at least the 10th time), and the
     same 2 sites are still showing the "Error loading plugin: Plugin file not found" on a black screen. Even
     though the video isn't seen the "chat" area is functioning, (I don't know if that's important, but I
     thought I should mention it).
9. I posted the issue on Firefox's Forum but no one has an answer since Flash works everywhere except
     for 2 sites.
I've tried everything I can think of to troubleshoot this, but as you can see, I've had no success in solving this "mystery".
As for the 2 sites I can't view, they are:

I hope you have a solution for me, as I'm desperate! I'm WAY behind in my documentation for these 2 sites, so hopefully you'll have an easy answer. If it's a technical thing, please use LOTS of details, as I'm not very technically inclined.

I just checked on another site that offers many different wildlife cams, & I CAN view the "Pittsburgh Bald Eagles" if I go through: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/pittsburgh-bald-eagles    I'm sure this means something, but since I don't understand this technical stuff I don't know what that is! (I told you I'm clueless!)

I definitely see a problem with the pixcontroller/eagles site on Windows 8.1. It works fine for me in the same version of Firefox on Windows 7. It's unclear to me whether it's a Firefox or a Flash Player issue, but I'm happy to look into it further and get some bugs filed.
As a temporary workaround, both sites work fine with Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.

Empty camera names in Flash Player with Google Chrome

So, it seems we got another problem with devices (cameras and microphones) in Flash Player integrated with Google Chrome (PPAPI). Many Flash developers can remember clickjacking problem and ugly fix for this issue implemented in Google Chrome. For now, if you have some application that uses camera or microphone, Google Chrome users must allow access to their devices twice: for Flash Player (small window centered in Flash-object) and for Google Chrome (gray panel with buttons under address bar).
Until recently the whole process of granting camera access looked like this:
Application want to attach camera to Video object or NetStream.
Even without permission you can get camera names and populate some UI components with them.
Flash Player show security panel with "Allow" and "Deny" buttons.
Google Chrome show it's own security panel, so both security panels are visible at the same time.
Users press "Allow" button in Flash Player security panel.
Now you have false for camera.muted property, but camera show zero FPS, because access is still denied in browser.
Users press "Allow" button in browser security panel.
Win! You have access granted everywhere.
Of course, that second security panel of Google Chrome is a real pain. Users just don't notice it. Flash developers handled this issue with hints inside application and FAQ pages. But now we have another big problem.
Recently the process of granting camera access changed to this:
Application want to attach camera to Video object or NetStream.
You can't get camera names until access granted in browser. There will be just spaces (" ", symbol with code 32) in camera.name property.
Flash Player show security panel with "Allow" and "Deny" buttons.
Google Chrome will not show it's security panel until access granted in Flash Player.
Users press "Allow" button in Flash Player security panel.
Now you have false for camera.muted property, but camera show zero FPS and have no name, because access is still denied in browser.
Google Chrome show it's own security panel.
Users press "Allow" button in browser security panel (this panel shown twice for some reason).
Now you have access granted everywhere, but devices still have just spaces instead of real names.
Unfortunately, AS3 will not update camera names after access granted in browser. Camera names are empty event in Flash Player settings window before browser access granting. So it's impossible now to get camera names in Flash application running in Google Chrome without reloading. User need to grant access in browser first, than reload application and only after that we can get camera names in AS3. I have tried to use flash.media.scanHardware() to refresh camera names, but it seems it's not working.
Also I have created a small example and posted it online. You can test it by yourself in Google Chrome. Just don't forget to clear your choice each time. You need to remove "http://wonderfl.net:80" entry from list on chrome://settings/contentExceptions#media-stream to clear your prevoius choice.
Also I got similar complaints from Opera users.

So, I wonder if it's a bug or some kind of new security feature implemented by Google Chrome team? Maybe someone already faced this problem and can share more info about it.
For now it looks like modern browsers killing Flash with all that features and ugly solutions.

After couple of tests I have found strange behavior of PPAPI Flash.
The test was made with two SWFs working simultaneously on the same page. The first one was asking for device access like some regular application (by calling video.attachCamera). The second SWF was created/removed in cycle by JavaScript to avoid this thing:
Scanning the hardware for cameras takes time. When the runtime finds at least one camera, the hardware is not scanned again for the lifetime of the player instance.
I have made both SWFs to get all devices names and post them to screen. So I was able to see all changes regarding devices in first SWF (before and after permission granted) and in refreshable second SWF (each second). Also I have used scanHardware in both SWfs.
I have found that second (refreshable) SWF got correct list of devices, but first one got only microphones. Camera names was empty.
So it looks like we have another bug of PPAPI Flash here. I don't have another explanation for this. I mean, why do they need to update only microphones, but not cameras?

Using PC-CAM 930 Slim as a web

I have had my PC-CAM 930 Slim for a while now, but have only just thought of using it as a webcam. Only problem is I don't have the User Guide that the box claims was meant to be included, just the Quick Start Guide, and that states that if i wish to use the camera as a webcam, then I should refer to the User Guide.
Just wondering if anyone knows where I could download the Guide or if anyone knows how to actually set it up as a webcam?

Alright that's enough, tone it down. The responses you'd get here are from other users, perhaps not many people are around at the moment that have the same cam.
If you have the installation CD, check that, it should contain (PDF) manuals for the cam. You can also check under Support -> Product Documentation for the manuals we have available for download.

Camera has no flash

Hello,
My camera has NO FLASH! Can't seem to figure out how to turn it on! Please help.

My wife just upgraded from the 8330 to the 8530, and I must say I am not very impressed. Not only did we have problems transferring her data over (something caused it to go into constant reboots - had to wipe it and reinstall the OS), but she just discovered that there is no flash! Not something that you would not even think to ask about in this day and age on a camera phone! I understand the argument that the cameras don't take good pictures anyway so why would it matter....but if that's your attitude then buy a model without a camera. For the ones that come with a camera, obviously we are not professional photographers using it for work. It's simply convenient to have on you (which our digital camera is usually not) to snap a quick picture (of the kids or whatever). For it not to have a flash is just completey pointless and stupid! Especially when the model that this is updating (the 8330) did have one! She's going to be taking it back. I just hope she cools down first and drops this notion of switching to the iphone!

Lenovo T60 BIOS flash problem

Hi There, and first of all sorry for my bad english!!
I have a problem with my T60, because i flashed a wrong (wide screen model) bios onto it. Now it not booting, some leds are blinking then nothing. I've tried, the wincris method to solve the problem, but i dont know the key combination to acces the bios in recovery mode. I've tried to remove the CMOS battery too, but nothing happened. I'll contact to Lenovo technical service for this issue. But before contacting i would like to let you know that I found official 40CN22WW（1.09） bios for G470/G570 from China support page and i flashed bios with that version. It flashed the BIOS but same problem happened when it comes to EC. When i clicked on OK for flashing EC it freezed and nothing move so around 10 mins later i had to reset laptop by unplugging the battery. But when i enter the setup i saw that all INVALID gone and the correct values are there. So i can see model, uid and serial number in BIOS now. But the EC is same old one which i typed in 1st post.
When i saw this i wanted to flash BIOS with official 2.09 version. It flashed the BIOS and came to EC flashing. This time it become different. After flashing BIOS it asked me to flash EC, and i clicked on OK, after clicking OK around 6-7 seconds later this appeared;
IHIS:EC write error in SMI!
and after this one it reset the laptop by itself, i checked in the BIOS and the serial, model changed to INVALID again but BIOS version is 2.09 and EC is 2.04. So I reflashed the BIOS with 1.09 and now in BIOS no more INVALID but EC is still 2.04. I don't know maybe this version has an EC protection or something like that. Or maybe my laptop BIOS or EC is corrupted. I wanted to flash my BIOS at 1st just because of those fan noise with almost 100% speed. Even the temperature is 45 the fan runs like F1 race car I'll take this with this BIOS now and when i go to Adana where I bought this laptop I'll ask for technical help there. Beside all those except FAN runs too fast, there is no problem on laptop everything works fine. But i noticed that boot time is faster with this 1.09 bios, i don't know maybe this is a coincidence.

Y40-80 Volume/Sound and Screen Flashing Problem

Hey guys, I'm having an issue with my new Y40-80. The volume will sometimes noticeably decrease and then randomly go back to normal. I have installed the relevant audio driver from Lenovo as well as completely updated my laptop through Windows Update. I have also done a complete system restore, but to no avail. I also get a hissing noise when using my earphones, which is normal, I got it on my last laptop as well, but the thing is, the hiss also comes and goes. If there are no souds playing, then the hiss is gone, but right before I click something that is going to play a sound, like a song, for example, the hiss comes back, but if I pause the song, the hiss remains for a few seconds before going away and being completely silent again. Perhaps I received a bad audio card? I also have an issue where my screen will sometimes quickly flash pure white or some distorted image of whats being displayed. I have only had this issue while playing this online game called League of Legends. I have also installed both the relavant AMD and Intel VGA drivers from Lenovo and my laptop is completely up to date. Any help is apprecitated. I really like the laptop, but these issues are annoying and are making me wonder if I have received a defective unit. Thanks!

Well, I seem to have found a solution myself. Posting it here in case someone comes across the same issue. Instead of downloading the Realtek audio driver from Lenovo's website, I downloaded the appopriate one from Realtek's website. Here: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false I believe the audio driver that comes preinstalled is the same as the one on Lenovo's website and I don't think it's for a Windows 8.1 but is instead an old driver for 64 bit Vista. Also, for the screen flashing problem that I was encountering while playing League of Legends, I believe I've also found a solution. Instead of downloading the AMD driver from Lenovo's website, I also recommend going straight to AMD's website and downloading the appropriate driver there. I tried using their auto-detect utility but the issue persisted. I went to AMD's website again and this time manually searched for a driver and came across a beta driver and so far so good.
