PC cam 950slim results

I was using pc cam 900 and found the camera extremly useful. However, now i am using pc cam 950 slim and i am finding this camera difficult to handle. The still photograhs are always fuzzy with multiple borders and the colours are very dull. The camera's result at night is also not very encouraging. I have tried to fiddle with camers settings but have failed to get good results. If anyone could advise me on camers settings for better results, I will be thankful.

I have the same problem as u do!
It is very frustrating to have a camera with great specifications, but it has such poor picture quality. When the flash is disabled, the picture is TOO dull. When the flash is enabled, the picture is TOO bright.i dont know how to set the settings to fix this, I have tried EVERYTHING possible in the setttings, but nothing works. I REQUEST someone to help me out with this problem, becasue I bought this camera to take with me during my vacations..! (for which i will leave within 2 weeks)

Dear.. do restore setting of camera..and look back of you phone there could be camera protector film(sheet), which might be problem, remove that protector then check your camera result. Its give u better results. Thanks

Trying to open Camera Raw results in 'wrong type of document' error

I had to do a recovery yesterday, and luckily had everything backed up. So....All seems well now, but when I loaded some photos from my camera and tried to open the CR image, I got that message. Cannot open because it is the wrong type of document. Grrrrrrrr..... I'm running windows xp and cs3.

Open Photoshop/help/about plug-in/camera raw. You should have one and only one copy listed.
It is really not in the plug-in folder for other functions. It should be in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS3\File Formats. It there it should be a plug-in icon that says camera raw.8bi.
What does your system say?

My photos will not load on the iPhone. Both directly accessing 'Photos' and from 'Camera roll' results in applications shutting down by itself and returning to home screen

Ighnot, are you jailbroken? Cause I am and I have the same problem except worse. I can't save a single pic, every single time I get the thumbnail grey box with jpg in it and the actual pic is black. Only way I get pic is by zooming in then taking screenshot and I still get the stupid safari toolbox and address bar in the pic

Difference in Camera Raw 7.2 and Lightroom 4.2

Camera Raw 7.2 seems to have introduced a colour management issue since the Adobe Standard camera profile is no longer present in Camera Raw 7.2, whereas it still appears in the Lightroom 4.2 version.
This means that raw files exports from Lightroom 4.2 to Photoshop CS6 as an external editor get converted from Adobe Standard (the Lightroom default) into one of the ACR presets in Camera raw resulting in a marked colour shift.
Since it does not appear possible to select the profile being used by Camera Raw on the fly when using Photoshop as an external editor from within Lightroom then this cannot be corrected.
The only solution seems to be to define a default profile such as Camera Standard v4 in Camera Raw and ensure that all images in Lightroom are assigned this profile when importing so that the colour remains consistent when editing in Photoshop.

This did not appear to be an issue in earlier versions of Camera Raw (at least, not on my old MBP with CS5 and LR3), so why has the Adobe Standard profile been removed and how can we select a different profile when using Photoshop CS6 as an external editor in Lightroom 4.2 in order to maintain colour consistency?

Did you perhaps delete or un-install anything related to Adobe lately? ACR and LR shuld be seeing the exact same set of DNG profiles unless things have been removed or moved. You could try downloading the most recent version of DNG Converter 7.2 and do an install. This should replace all DNG profiles current with ACR 7.2.

HT3775 bought Bushnell trail cam: worked,got 2nd cam: worked. Got 3rd cam which needed DIV X,so downloaded, now can't view 1st 2 cams. msg " required codec is not available" ***? worked for 2 years till downloaded DIV X now can't view old cams. Suggestion

I bought a Bushnell trail cam. Worked well, each video presented on the screen with the opening frame of the 10 second video. I could tell at a glance what the video was.( I have to guess it used quicktime ). I bought a second cam, same results as first. I bought a 3rd cam ,( all bushnell ), which required me to download " DIV X ", which I did. Now, I can no longer view the first frame of the 10 sec video, it just has an icon that says "AVI XXX" ( XXXbeing the number of the video ). I now have to click the icon, go to "Action" drop down "open with" and select DIV X , for each "anonymous" video, ( as I cant see what they are any more , just a number). Furthermore, I can no longer view my old videos. A message shows up saying " a required codec is not available" ***????
The 2 original cams worked for 2 years with no problem, but since downloading DIV X I cant play the older ones. I should point out that even if I select a (now) anonymous video, go to " Action", drop down "open with" and manually select quicktime, the message still shows up about the codec.
Suggestions??

No Toolbar buttons on OV page of serch result entity in Value Help PopUp

Hello Friends,
In Service Request, I am calling a value help search of CRM_KNOWART_S/KA SearchView for the field of assignment block "Related Knowledge Articles" (component GSDOCFLOW/HdrDocFlowEF ) . I am getting value help AND RESULTS ARE COMING.
Also, I am trying to call the overview page(CRM_KNOWART_H/KAGenDataFV) of results came to result list through a hyper link. I am able to navigate to Overview page of selected Knowledge Article. But I am NOT getting the TOOLBAR buttons which are already available in the Overviepage. Also, I can not see the Multi-select option in search result list of initial search result screen.
Note: Since the Overview page is handled by Standard component, All toolbar buttons are already made available which we can see in our display. In Debugging,We can see all required parameters of buttons are getting passed while doing our navigation to the Overview page.
I really appreciate any help from your end!!

Camera recognition

I just started filming using a HVR-Z1U. What do I need to do to get my Imovie HD6.0.3 to import. All controls working, but nothing shows up on scream. I feel like Luci keeps pulling the football out right as I get ready to kick it. AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH

*PLEASE Observe that the 6-pin FW connector end can be PRESSED into Your Mac*
*180 degree wrongly.*
*This harms Your Camera and results in an expencive repair.*
*Done this. Speaking from experience.*
Test another FW-Cable.
Test Your Camera on another Mac so that DV-in still works OK
Toogle in iMovie pref: Play-back via Camera (on<->off some times)
Other ways to import Your miniDV tape:
Use another Camera. There where tape play-back stations from SONY
but they costed about 2-4 times a normal miniDV Camera.
If Your Camera works on another Mac. Make an iMovie movie project here and move it
over to Your Mac via an external hard disk.
(HAS TO BE Mac OS Exchange formatted - USB/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange WILL NOT DO)
(Should be a FireWire one - USB/USB2 performs badly)
FireWire - Sure not using the accompany USB-Cable but bought a 4-pin to 6-pin FW one ?

Sorry to say it is to easy to turn the 6-pin end of the FW-cable 180 deg wrong.
This is lethal to the A/D-chip in the Camera = needs an expensive repair.
(Hard to find out - else than import/export to another Mac ceased to work
everything else is OK eg recording and playback to TV)
Delete iMovie pref file may help sometimes. I rather start a new account, log into
this and have a re-try.

Hi Bengt W, I tried it all, but nothing worked. Your answer has been helpfull insofar as all the different trials led to the conclusion that there was something wrong with my iMovie software. I therefore threw everything away and reinstalled iMovie from the HD. After that the exportation of DV videos (there has not been any problem with HDV videos) to my Sony camcorders worked properly as it did before. Thank you. LKN 1935

I am trying to download my photos into I photo with my new Nikon S6300 camera and keep getting the message The file could not be imported the file is unrecognizable format had no problems with my Canon camera

Trying to download my pictures to IPhoto with my new Nikon S6300 camera keep getting the message the file could not be imported as the file is unreconizable format. I had no problem with my old Canon camera. Please help

I am having the same problem which has happened very infrequently before. Generally it's one photo and happened when my battery died.
However today I tried to download six photos.
None would download including several others for a total of 21 that would not download.
Since I had just installed a new powered hub and added three new external 4T hard drives, I got concerned that it was the hub. Then got really worried that I'd have problems with the data I have been backing up.
However following this sequence of events, I've determined it's not the hub, but still don't know what is causing the problem.
(1) Put a fresh battery in the camera - same results
(1.5) Used a different port in the new hub - same results
(2) Put the card in the card slot in the back of my iMac - no problems except that one image I knew about last week. The six new images imported.
(3) Tried again using the cable - still same error
(4) Changed cables - my husband has the same camera - still same error
(4) Put the card in his camera with his cable - still same error
(5) Put the card in a card reader and used the same slot in the new hub - no problems - same one wouldn't import but message that there are no new photos to import.
(6) Moved the offending one image to the Trash while the card was in the card reader
(7) Put the card back into my camera and used my cable. iPhoto had no error and displayed the message there are no new photos.
Conclusion:
Not the camera
Not the cable
Not the hub
Must remove bad photo from the card
However, I have not had to do that before. I went through several imports on vacation when there was one bad image and just ignored it each time.
Any idea why this is happening now?

Camera raw 7.1

I have Photoshop CS6 and want the Camera Raw filter from the dropdwon menu back. How can I install Camera Raw 7.1 over the latest version that is 8 and does not have the filter? (amongst other things)

Thanks for your reaction. I did a search and found that Photoshop CS6 used to have the drop down Raw filter but after the update from version 7 to version 8 the filter disappeared and I would have to upgrade to CC to get the use of the filter back..
I'm still happy with CS6 and want to try to revert to the older version of the Camera raw filter 7.1
An attempt to install the download of 7.1 over the new version of Camera Raw resulted in an error message (U44M2P7). I would like to try and remove the latest Camera Raw plug-in but I couldn't find it's location in any of the program folders.
(the reason I would like to be able to open an image in Raw not only via Bridge but also via Photoshop Camera Raw filter is because of the use of smart objects and re-editing ease)

Having trouble deciding on a point and shoot camera.

I have been searching for a point and shoot camera and I have narrowed it down to two cameras. The cameras that I'm looking at are the Cannon Powershot SX510 HS 12.1mp with a 30x optical zoom and the other one is the Fujifilm FinePix S8200 16.2mp with a 40x optical zoom. They are both on sale for the same price. Which one should I get??

I have found with the power zooms that once you get above 14x optical you really start to lose quality. In large part because the more you zoom the more of an issue camera shake comes into play.
Keep in mind these are little bitty lenses trying to do the job of a higher quality piece of glass in a SLR lens.
The actual distance between the front and back of the P&S lens is shorter than on SLR Lens (typically)
Think of it this way. Take a 12" ruler. Put it on wegde at the 1/2" mark. every little movement of the short end of the stick makes a more dramatic movement on the other end.
With a 30x optical zoom or more you really are going to accentuat that a lot more. So a 1mm movment at the base of the camera will result in a larger movement at the other end. At that level you will need to have a tripod to get as clear of an image as possible.
Go into a store that has the high optical zoom cameras. Find something that is very far away and zoom in on it as far as you can. Try to hold that camera still enought that the image does not move.
Also, the more you zoom the higer your f/Stop is going to be. Which means less light, which means a longer shutter release which equates to a more shaky photo.
If you really want power zoom I would strongly suggest investing in a Canon, Nikon, or Sony DSLR

FCE suddenly dosen't recognize camera?

OK, story time.
I use FCE for about 4-5 months out of the year, all in sequence, when im working on yearly project. It's time for that project to start up again and i tried downloading footage into it to send off some quick clips of what was shot. I have gotten a brand new Canon XL2 and used it to shoot this year's project.
I hooked up the camera to a TV using composite cables to find what i wanted on a couple of the tapes. I got the tapes into position, got out the firewire cable, hooked it up to the computer, and it basically locked the computer up when I went to start up FCE. Unplugged the firewire, re-started the computer, and tried again. This time firing up FCE first and waiting until the prompt comes up to check for devices. It came up, I plugged in the cam, same result. This time however i just unplugged the camera from the computer, and FCE continued to boot up like I had no camera attached (which i didn't at the time). So I plugged the camera back in, tried file>capture, and still... same thing... spinning pinwheel that never ends. Unplug the firewire, and everything is back to normal. I also noticed that it didn't really effect the computer, but it seemed to be just the program when the firewire was hooked up.
Restarted the computer several times, unplugged replugged and turned on and off the camera, unhooked all the cables that were hooked up to the tv, completely unhooked the camera from the power source, etc, etc, etc. I tried many little things in hopes it would do something, all resulting the same.
It gets stranger. Since all I needed was 2 quick clips (less then 15 seconds each) I then tried to import the video through imovie, and a similar thing happened. Except the only difference was that having the cable hooked up didn't really lock up the program, but the it just plain didn't recognize that there was a camera attached.
And to top it all off, there was a nearby imac i could try it out on. I fired up imovie on it (no FCE on this comp), plug in the camera... and it worked flawlessly.
I really have no idea what could have happend to my computer inbetween now and when I last used FCE to cause this (which would have been, maybe march?). It makes me think that something went haywire with downloading video onto the computer as a whole, no matter the program. I have used the exact same firewire cable to import video onto the computer before, in the same (front) port, just the camera is differnt, but it obviously works on other computer(s).
Im on a power mac dual 2 G5, just updated to 10.4.10, FCE HD v3, and the imovie version was HD 6. The imac was running imovie 5 on (i believe) 10.4.10 as well.
Any ideas on how to trouble shoot this or where to even start would be appreciated.

Alas, there is an issue with FCE 3.0 (and earlier version) and Mac OS X 10.4.9.
It seems that 10.4.10 solved it:

Canon's camcorder are prone to capture problem. Be sure to use firewire basic NTSC in easy setup and stay away from daisy chaining camcorder and LaCie external hard drives situation.

Camera poor iPhone 5

Is it right that my new iPhone 5 camera's results (sharpness, distortion on edges) are less good than my preceding iPhone 4S? The image file sizes are smaller too. I'm about to send it back, and keep my old phone.

It sounds like your flash has stopped working on your phone and you noticed a decrease in image quality.
I recommend a few troubleshooting steps here. Start with closing the running apps on the phone:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone and test it again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
