PC Crash - No chance to deactivate CS 5

I was using CS 5 extended on two laptops. One of them suddenly broke down - I´ve had no chance for deactivating CS5 and there is definitely  no chance to repair this laptop, so I need a new one. But how can I activate CS 5 on a new (third) laptop when I bought only two licences? Any chance for me to get a solution of this problem? Thanks for help
Robert

Robert please install CS5 extended on your new computer.  If you end up receiving a request that you have no more activations remaining then please contact our support team.  You can contact our chat support at http://adobe.ly/yxj0t6.

  • HELP.. System crashed before i can deactivate my Adobe Acrobat 8

My system crash before i could deactivate my acrobat..
IBM has since replaced a new HDD with Vista on it and i have since tired to reinstall Adobe Acrobat 8.0 with my serial No.
I keep getting a message stating that my serial no has already been used (or something within that line)... how do i get it to work..
    Please help
    Justin

Each commercial copy of Acrobat 8 was usable by the same person on two computers via the activation process, Adobe manages. When you try to activate a third time a dialog box comes up with a telephone number for you to call. You need to call the number, explain the circumstance, and then Adobe will grant you another activation. There is nothing anyone here can do to help you.

  • Computer Crashed - How do I deactivate?

My computer recently crashed, deleting all current things I have installed on my computer, one of them being CS2. I managed to buy a new computer, seeing as the old one would never work again, but I need to download CS2 onto my new computer for a class. But, I have a feeling that my CS2 is still activated on my old computer. How do I de-activate it?

    Vanessa,
You should be able to activate on your new computer given that you have only activated CS2 on one machine. If you had already activated on another machine (for a total of two), then you should contact customer support and explain to them that one of your machines crashed - they should grant an activation overrride for you.
If you ever re-install a new OS on the machine that crashed, if you activate CS2 on that machine, you will not be decremented and activation allocation because the Adobe Activation server will know that that specific machine had communicated with it before. You can then deactivate after a successful (re)activation.

  • PDApp.exe crashes, cant run, uninstall, deactivate

    I have CS5 Design standard installed on a win 7 64bit machine.
The individual programs are used sporadically, and mainly adobe pro and indesign.
Recently i have tried to run illustrator, but as soon as the program starts.
It will crash with a message:

Now i have since discovered that this application manager controls just about everything.
so i can no longer run updates, i can deactivate the license, i cant reinstall or repair.
nothing will work other then i can assume a complete wipe of the system and start fresh.
But as i can deactivate my license i will run into problems there.
i did find an issue that appeared to mimic my problem

And have attempted the steps here, but none of them work.
If anyone has run into this problem and knows of a solution that would be great.
    Thanks for any help here...

Kernelbase crashing indicates a mundane permissions issue. The programs simply cannot launch the pertinent auxilairy apps and services because soemthing is blocking them. check your virus scanner and user privileges.

  • Laptop crashed how do i deactivate it

My laptop failed with a HW failure - won't boot.  Replaced it but can't get CC to start - complains I already have two computers activated.  How do I deactivate the computer that won't boot?

Figured it out.  There was a selection to deactivate all computers but I was reluctant to do something that may be irreversible.  But all worked OK and just logged into CC on each machine.

  • Activation: how can I recover from a hard drive crash?

My hard drive crashed on me...  All my data is safe, but now I have to figure out how to reactivate both Lightroom 3 and CS3.
I have rebuilt the failed machine with a new hard drive, but it was getting rather old so I also took the opportunity to purchase a new machine.  My intention is to get Lightroom and CS3 installed and registered on the new machine.  I understand that under normal circumstances I could deactivate Adobe products on the old machine, install and reactivate on the new machine.  But since I rebuilt it, the old machine doesn't actually have Lightroom and CS3 installed and activated -- no activation, so no chance to deactivate.
I see two options.  Which is easier?
I could reinstall both Lightroom and CS3 on the old machine, activate them, then deactivate them, then install and activate on the new machine.  If I reinstall and reactivate on the old machine, will Adobe's activation service recognize that I'm reactivating on a machine that already had Lightroom and CS3 installed (everything is the same except the hard drive)?  If not, will I be able to activate since I will be trying to activate an already-activated license?
Alternately, I could just install on the new machine and attempt to activate there.  I expect I'll run into problems, again because I'm trying to activate with a key that was used to activate on a different system.  I expect I'll have to phone into Adobe to clear this up.
I'm concerned that if I take the wrong path it will make it more difficult to get everything working in the end, possibly to the point where Adobe will refuse to allow me to activate my licences on my new machine.  Does anybody have any advice?
    Thanks.

Since CS3 is not a shipping version there is NO activation needed, only the current shipping version. Install CS3 and insert the serial number.
Do the same with LR. No install, uninstall, gymnastics needed nor phone calls to Adobe Tech Support.
I did this when my power supply shorted and took the whole machine up in smoke, all four hard drives worth. When I got the new computer I just installed CS2 with the license and no activation needed.

  • Deactivate photoshop elements 10

Hi  My hard drive crashed.    How can I re-install PS Elements 10 on this machine?   I did not get a chance to deactivate it obviously since it crashed.   I re-installed the OS and am starting from scratch reinstalling software, but PS 10 will not install because it's on my laptop and it was on this desktop.   It thinks it was installed twice.    HELP?
    THANK YOU!

  • Trouble reinstalling after Windows xp crash

I have recently bought the upgrade to PS cs4 and installed it over my cs3 version. Shortly after this windows crashed & I had to reinstall windows XP but I can't seem to reinstall PS cs4 I get a 1605 message. If I just try to run the old program which still on my C drive the program opens and then I get a 147:20 message sayiong I have to reboot(w/o success) I would uninstall ps, but the program won't let me get as far as being able
to deactivate it. Thanks for any help!

That's how it's worked for me when I've had a crash and it was installed on two machines and a hard-drive crashed so I didn't have a chance to deactivate. One time it happened, it picked the wrong machine and I had to activate Photoshop on that machine, again, and it deactivated the real one that crashed. Another time it picked the right one. Perhaps it choose the one used least recently rather than activated least recently, but I've never had to call Adobe about deactivating after a crash.
Perhaps it works differently, now. The bottom line is that you should not have to worry about deactivating Photoshop just to be able to install it, again. The worst that can happen is you have to call Adobe and have a discussion about what happened and have them do it.

  • Unable to activate my previously working CS6 suite after hard drive crash

I had a recent hard drive crash, obviously with no chance to deactivate CS6. So now with a fresh installation, I cannot activate the suite.
Is there a way to deactivate the key registered to my previous PC installation?

To deactivate an inaccessible installation you need to contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations.

  • Upgraded RAM and Changed HD to SSD: Computer Crashing

Hi guys, I have a 2013 MBP that I recently upgraded with 16 gigs of RAM and an SSD. Both pieces of hardware, I was careful to make sure were compatible with my computer. Ever since installing them, though, I have been experiencing consistent crashing that seems to happen most regularly when the computer awakes from sleep mode or when I unplug or plug in the charger. I ran a memtest, and it stated everything was fine. Debugged the hd.
This is the error report that I am receiving after recovering from a crash:
Any chance I could get some help with this issue? Thanks for reading guys!

In view of the changes you have made, I suggest that you reinstall the original RAM and see if there is a change.  If not, then the SSD should be substituted for the original HDD.  Kernel panics are often attributable to hardware issues.
Also run an Apple hardware Test which may provide a clue.

    Ciao.

  • All my plugins keep crashing after I try to use them. The two main ones I really want working are silverlight and adobe flash player but for some reason Firefox 9.0.1 keeps crashing them. All plugins are updated

All plugins are updated. This has only started happening recently. Plugins seems to launch for a few seconds (no more than 5) and then crash. Chances are that there is more than a problem with just Silverlight and Flash but they are the only two that I really use.

Perform the suggestions mentioned in the following articles:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]

Check and tell if its working.

  • Does Adobe's uninstaller automatically deactivate license?

I think I might have messed up here. I forgot to deactivate a license before running Adobe's uninstaller. Any chance it deactivates your license before wiping out all the apps? If not, am I screwed?

That feature was last seen in the CS2 uninstaller, then was removed for CS3 and CS4. It's back in CS5, thankfully. that doesn't really help you, though, so do cal lsupport as Andrew recommended.

  • Serial Number registration - 2nd copy,  original lost on HD crash

I am trying to reinstall Premiere Elements 8 on a NEW PC after the original PC it was installed on HD crashed.  I CANNOT DEACTIVATE serial number on that PC.  This is only the second time I've installed this software on a PC but the registration message claims I've done it before.
    Serial number  <Serial number removed>
This same problem happened when I reinstalled Photoshop Elements 8
Registration screen does not give an option to fix this.

BuckeyeRobert I have edited your message to remove your serial number and phone number.  The serial number is your license for the software so you do not want to have that available for everyone to use publically.  I also assumed you did not want your phone number publically available...?

The hard drive on this computer crashed, as in replacement with another hard drive was required?
Or did this crash require the hard drive being reformatted prior to performing an erase and install or a re-install or OS X and all apps?
Either way, your prospects are good.
When a hard drive has not been reformatted, it is usually possible to recover data that was deleted from the hard drive as long as the area on the hard drive where this data had been stored has not been overwritten since the data was deleted.
Stop using the computer or computer's hard drive followed by using a data recovery utility on the hard drive ASAP are important - the sooner the better.
If your hard drive was reformatted after the crash, your chances for recovering this data are greatly reduced if not impossible.
Backup, backup, backup - always maintain a regular backup of all your important data stored on an external drive used for backup purposes only.
