Pc does not recognize zen mi

i have a zen micro and i installed the software from the cd and used the mp3 fine on my old pc and when i installed the software from the cd to the new pc and connected the mp3...i went to the zen micro media explorer and it said that the device is not connected
could somebody help...
i had this problem on my old pc so i think i installed some other drivers and apps from this support site but i dont remember which ones they were...could someone help me remember or at least give me the link to the file...

Computer does not recognize Zen Micro O

Lets use this thread for anyone having problems getting their computers to recognize their zen. I will start with my issue first to get this thing going.
For the first four days my zen micro synced great (even after I upgraded the firmware to 2.00.2)! I installed the "notmad" third party application and my windows explorer zen icon immediatly disappeared (The zen micro explorer was still there but no longer saw my Zen). When I unsinstalled "notmad" because it was bombing on me, my computer would no longer recognize or sync my Zen (it works ok on my computer at work). Here is what I found.
A - The USB recognizes it. However, if you connect your Zen, go into the device manager of the computer (right mouse click my computer, select manage, select device manager) you will see a yellow exclamation over the driver. If you double click it, it will also give you some bogus error about driver not installed and could not find WPD package call your hardware vendor.
B - If you try to reinstall Windows Media Player 0, it will also fail to install. If you look at the install logs for it you will find that it says it cannot find the "WPD" Package and that one does not exist on the computer.
C - Someting (either creative or notmad) removed the WPD software (Windows Portable Devices) and I cannot figure out where to get it and how to reinstall it's Reinstall XP service pack 2, that would be a nightmare.
D - To me the main issue is that the Windows Portable Devices (WPD) software appears to be gone? Is this part of the creative install or windows? Is anyone else seeing the same thing?
D - Thoughts? It is driving me CRAZY!

Stating the model of your ZEN, OS and WMP version should increase your chances of others replying to you in the forum. You can also check this Helpful hints and this thread.
By theway, you don't have to use big fonts when you post as everyone should be able to read it clearly using the default size.

I have a zen micro I am totally frustrated with. On a new PC I have upgraded to the latest firmware and down loaded the latest version of Zen Micro Media Explorer (MTP) and it still can't find the device. After 3 hours at this I am ready to return the product to the store. Has anyone else had this issue? I had the same problem on my original XP system but managed to get by it but its driving me nuts the software sucks
Tried recovery mode, updated drivers, firmware and downloaded latest verson of Zen Media Explorer and device looks fine in device manager.

If its fine in Device Manager but no other programs then do this:
Open up the Registry (Start, run, regedit)
Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum
Right click that and select Permissions
Under the Groups or user names make sure Everyone is listed, if it isn't click on Add and select it.
Once you select Everyone, on the box below make sure that under Allow, Full Control and Read are checked.
Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\U SB and do the same thing.
Reconnect your player and see if it recognizes. Try Windows Media Player 0 as well if the Creative programs are giving you problems.

IBM T30 XP USB error with Zen Micro. Does not recognize dev

I've tried everything I can think of on this board and others. Zen Micro, IBM T30 laptop, 2 usb ports on back, Windows XP. Downloaded latest everything I can find. USB does not recognize device. Error report shows "USB Root Hub (2 ports) ---> Unknown Device"

Tried one last thing, just for grins...
Put the IBM into it's docking station, which has another USB on the dock (low speed, though), and voila! It worked! Go figure what's different but since it was working, I took that opportunity to blow in the new firmware, and also upgraded to ZenMicroP4S_PCFW_LB_2__02 to get away from drivers all together (and to use Napster2go, my ultimate goal through all of this!) Syncing with MP0 worked great. Even an explorer view with folders and such, so all is well.
Since everything seems to be working, I'll stick with it for now!
Can I now delete Zen Micro Media Explorer from my system? (it doesn't seem to recognize the device anyway)

st off, I was having issues with mp3's transferring to my zen touch, it would say file cannot transfer, invalid format or something of the like.. The creative audio converter would not allow the file to be converted as it said the source was not availble, all odd as the files worked fine on my computer and were mp3 format. I did get them to transfer after downloading another 3rd party converter, I wanted to get past using another program though so I updated to media source 5, along with firmware updates to most recent for the zen touch.
Once I had updated it would not recognize my player, I opened version 3.xxx whatever and it did recognize. Thinking maybe it has an issue with both being installed I unistalled the old version. Same problem, still does not see my player. I upated the driver for the player as well, and my computer now could see the zen touch instead of unknown usb device, media source 5 no go still at this point. I opened windows media 0 and it saw the player and I could transfer files, but the lay out and editing cababilities are limited.
Basically I want to know what to do get this thing detected so I can use media source 5 to organize my files. Someone please help me.

Creative MediaSource 5 Player does not recognize my Zen

I have the Creative MediaSource 5 player and never had this problem before, but now it does not recognize or connect with my Zen V player. I do not know what is going on. Everytime I connect my Zen now I get a window giving me choices of players to use with my Zen and the Creative player is not longer in this list... I have not made any changes.

If you have update the player firmware to the PlayForSure firmware version, you will need to also update your copy of the Media Explorer to the version that can support it. Go back to the download page where you download the firmware and look for "Creative Zen Micro Media Explorer Web Update" and "Creative MediaSource Plugin for PlaysForSure devices (version .00.8)".

Media Source does not recognize my CD/DVD bur

I have an LG ?Super Multi DVD Dri've? model number GSA-408B which can burn CDs and DVDs but Creative Media Source does not recognize it. I am using version 2.00.. It simply acts as though I have no devices capable of burning CDs installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use my AppleID to "Find my iPhone" successfully on iPhone 4, iPhone4S, iPad, iMac. All show up. New iPhone5 iOS 6.0.2 uses same AppleID in the General iCloud settings, Contacts,email,photostream,safari bookmarks,reminders,notes, are all synced fine. I can even see how much storage is available in my iCloud account on the new iPhone5. The Problem is that "Find my iPhone" does not recognize the new iPhone 5. Yes location services is turned on. The iPhone5 can find its location in the map app, can find all other devices in "Find my iPhone" just not itself in "Find my iPhone" I tried a hard reset.

How about when the passcode is correct but not recognized?
I was prompted to enter a password to unlock the device when I downloaded IOS 7 several months ago.
Entered the password every single day for months, never a problem.
Yesterday I attempted to download the most recent IOS version and I was asked for a passcode before I could do that (my phone was unlocked). Online I found out the passcode is the unlocking password. It did not work and I was unable to use the phone for several minutes after 5 attempts. I just stored the phone and when home I charged it overnight.
This morning I unlocked the phone as usual and used it without a problem for emails, phone calls. etc.. Now, after not having used it for a while, I am asked for the passcode to unlock it as usual, and although I am sure I entered the right code, it is not recognized. I am unable to unlock my phone, although I have done it for months.
This is not a case of forgotten passcode! And I see it has happened to many others that use 4s and 5s iphones.
i could attempt the iTune connection fix, but it troubles me that all solutions are presented for forgotten pascodes, and in many cases actually the passcodes are not recognized. Which means, it will keep happening unless Apple offers a solution.

Nope - you cannot restore a backup from a newer iOS version on to a device running an older iOS version. The reverse works, but in your case to use your backup, you must update to iOS 7.0.3 - no other option if you want to use that backup.
