PC doesn't recognize my iPhone 5
Hello,
My iPhone 5 is not recognized by my laptop.
All I want to do is remove my pictures from my iPhone, and put them onto a USB stick connected to my computer.
I've read that you plug in your phone using the cord, and then under My Computer your iPhone should show up as a device and you can copy/paste your pictures from the DCIM folder. However when I plug in my iPhone 5 it does not show up under there.
It gets weird here.. When I plug it into my laptop it says that it is charging. It also is connected to iTunes and will sync when plugged in. My other work iPhone works fine when I plug it in. I can see it listed under My Computer and get the pictures off, so I know it isn't the laptop. I have tried other cables, using another laptop, and all the usual quick fixes. My iTunes is updated, I have uninstalled and reinstalled it as well.
I went online with an apple support person and they got me to make sure my USB ports were working, my device manager was showing my iPhone, etc.
Also went and talked to an Apple employee in the Apple store and he told me that it wasn't a problem with my phone, and that he couldn't help me because I have a PC, not a Mac.
I NEED to get my photos off and I have too many to just send over email to my laptop.

iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone 4s.
Whenever I plug my iPhone into my computer it starts to charge like normal but iTunes does not recognize it. I've tried all of the troubleshooting steps provided by Apple (Downloading the latest iTunes version, reinstalling iTunes, updating the software on my phone, restarting my computer, etc). I've also looked at various tutorials on different websites that showed other methods. Among these methods were going into the control panel Device Manager or the Services program and taking certain steps within said programs. It seems I have tried everything under the sun to get iTunes to recognize my iPhone and so far nothing has worked. I have no idea what to do which is why I've resorted to this. Anybody know what might be going on? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit on my computer with the latest iTunes installed as previously stated. I've also just installed iOS 5.1.1 on my iPhone and this has not changed anything. If anyone has any idea what is going on and would like to tell me how to fix it, it would be much appreciated. To make sure it isn't the security software, you can either follow the steps in the article below, or you could just uninstall it and test again. Then reinstall it again when you're done.

I've recently upgraded to the new software (5.1), since then the iTunes doesn't recognize my iphone, as the error comes up:' iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error (ex8000022).

I upgraded my daughter's iMac to iTunes 11.1 and now it doesn't recognize her iPhone 4s. The phone will charge and DropBox see's it but iTunes doesn't. Any suggestions? I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the software so that doesn't work. Thanks for any help!

Follow these steps to resolve your issue:
Ensure that your Mac meets the minimum system requirements for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Install software updates on your Mac.
Note: If an iTunes update is available, apply the update.http://apple.com/itunes/download
Check USB connections. iOS devices require USB 2.0 to function properly. If you're not sure your Mac has USB 2.0 ports, refer to the computer's specifications.
Disconnect other USB devices and connect your device directly to a USB port on your Mac.
Restart your Mac.

I was running the previous version of itunes and it worked perfectly. I just installed the latest version of itunes (version 11.1.4.62) and restarted the PC and now itunes doesn't recognize my iphone or my ipad. I'm running Windows 8.1 on my pc. I tried diagnostics to no avail. The diagnostic didn't recognize either device. As the directions advised, I closed itunes, disconnected the devices and stopped and restarted the apple mobile device service, That didn't work either. My wife, who also has Windows 8.1, has the same problem. She installed the new version and it doesn't recognize her devices.
Until now, itunes has been totally reliable. I am convinced the problem is with itunes. Where do I go from here?I resolved the issue by doing the following:
1. Uninstall iTunes and every Apple application (device support and such).
2. Uninstall bonjour.
3. Reboot.
4. Go to Apple and install iTunes.
It worked. When I opened iTunes (after reinstalling) it recognized all my devices, music and video. -
I have an iPhone 5s on a windows 8 platform. iTunes is 11.1.4.62, iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone and I am unable to sync. After the last iTunes update my phone wasn't recongnized and the phone asks if I want to trust the computer everytime I connect it. Other programs can access the photos and recognize the iPhone 5 but not iTunes.
Try holding down CTRL as you launch iTunes to see if it will repair the drivers.

ITunes doesn't recognize my iPhone 3G
Like the title says, iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone 3G. What can I do? I have already done the troubleshooting, like dowloaded the newest version of iTunes and Mac OS, started again the computer and so on, but it doesn't help me at all. Is iPhone 3G too old for recognizening, beacuse it can't be updated to iOS 6? Please help me! Thank you.

My macbook doesn't recognize my iphone 5 and wont let me sync my music or apps in itunes
My itunes 10.6.3 (25) in my macbook OS X doesn't recognize my iphone 5. So I can't sync my apps or music to my phone (although I was able to sync my photos and videos through iphoto) I rebooted both my phone and mac and switched connecting ports. Nothing.

iTunes 10.2.1.1 doesn't recognize my iPhone 4 when I try to sync it. This has happened suddenly. Please help.
I recently installed IOS 4.3.2. and ITunes 10.2.2 on my 64 Bit Vista PC. Since upgrading the IOS on any of my devices, none of them are recognized in iTunes. The computer recognizes them in My Computer but not in iTunes. Apple support pointed me to http://http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538?viewlocale=en_US which directs you to uninstall/reinstall iTunes and all related programs. That has not solved the problem. The only guidance I have been given is from a tech at the Apple store who mentioned that there might be issues with the drivers in Vista. I have not been able to find any help with solving that issue. Does anybody have any thoughts.

When I connect iPhone to laptop, iTunes sends me an alert:" This iPhone can't be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started". This started right after I have upgraded iTunes from 10.5 to 10.5.1. Please help !

2. Verify iTunes and related components are completely uninstalled
3. Reinstall iTunes and related components
Had to remove all Apple related softwares and utilities, and re-install all back. iTunes recognizes my phone now ! Cheers ! -

Symptoms
In rare circumstances, an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch may not be recognized in iTunes on Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard after the Mac is restarted. If you reinstall iTunes, your device may be recognized. However, restarting your Mac may result in the device not being recognized again.
Note: These steps do not apply to OS X Lion or Mountain Lion.
Resolution
Follow the below steps to troubleshoot the issue.
Note: Some of these steps will require that you enter your Mac OS X user password. If you do not know your user's password, follow this article first.
Install all software updates. If you have an update available for an SDK (Software Development Kit), be sure these updates are also installed. Do this by clicking the Apple () menu, choosing Software Update, and following the on-screen instructions. If you need to download iTunes manually, you can download it here.
Disconnect the device and quit iTunes.
In Finder, click the Go menu and then choose Go to Folder. Enter the following location into the text field that appears:
/System/Library/LaunchDaemons
Click Go.
Locate the file "com.apple.usbmuxd.plist~orig" and drag it to the Trash. (Do not move the similarly named "com.apple.usbmuxd.plist" file to the Trash.)
Restart your Mac, open iTunes, and connect your device. If your device shows up in iTunes, restart your Mac one more time and confirm the issue is still resolved. -
I upgraded my iTunes to 10.7 on my MacBook Pro - after that iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone 4S 6.0.1 (10A523) in the iTunes sidebar. Solutions?
(Both upgrades to the phone and lap-top were done based on Apples suggestion, so I find it strange it doesn't work automatically, which should be a basic reason for choosing Apples costly products!)Try rebooting your computer.
You might also try downloading and installing iTunes 11 which came out today. -
My PC doesn't recognize my iPhone 4s

Today I was updating from iOS 6 to iOS 7. Ok, I downloaded the new OS, extracted it and then a backup was made. After the backup, on iTunes, a message appears: Waiting for iPhone.... I waited something about 5 minutes, and when I look to my iPhone, I see this screen:
Then, iTunes showed me an "Unknown Error" and by there, my PC doesn't recognize my iPhone anymore.
And about my iPhone? Well... the above screen is still there.
Someone has any idea to help me?I 'had' a problem with my computer not recognizing my iphone 4s when I plugged in the USB cord. Tried to find a solution on the internet but no luck as usual. It worked before, but not this time. Tried everything. Finally I tried the original cord that came with the phone. It WORKED! Must have to use an Apple cord with an Apple phone. I was using a generic cord to charge my iphone while on the laptop and it would charge fine. It probably just don't have a wire in it for 'data transfer'.
