PC/iTunes synchr. nun Mac/iTunes synchr. ohne löschen der Daten auf dem iPhone
Hallo,
Habe mein iPhone 3GS mit einem PC/iTunes synchr. Der PC istnun tod. Konnte keine Daten auf den neuen Mac retten. Nun möchte ich das gleiche iPhone mit Mac/iTunes synchr. Dann fragt (warnt) iTunens jedoch, dass alle Daten (Apps) auf dem iPhone verlohren gehen. Gibts eine ander Lösung als alle Apps neu herunterzuladen?

Ohne den Inhalt analysiert zu haben, kann kein Encoder auf dem ganzen Planeten die genaue Dateigröße vorhersagen. Das ist nun mal so bei fast allen komprimierten Formaten. Die geschätzte Dateigröße ist nun mal genau nur das - eine Schätzung unter der Annahme einer bestimmten durchschnittlichen Datenrate. Das muss aber nicht der Realität entsprechen - feine Details brauchen größere Datenraten, große Flächen weniger und das verteilt sich nun mal in einem Film unterschiedlich. Da gibt's keinen magischen Knopf, das sind einfach Erfahrungswerte die sich im Lauf der Zeit durch Probieren und viele DVDs ergeben. 'ne Stunde und 20 Minuten ist aber wirklich kein Problem... Einfach mal die Datenrate runterschrauben. Kein Mensch nimmt so hohe Datenraten, wie sie in den Adobe-Presets voreingestellt sind.

Hi, cant update IO6. After downloading the update and processing it through Itunes on my mac.... and I have a factory unlocked Iphone 4S. Cant update the software. Waring message is say this devise is not eligible for build. Please help.
Download iTunes using the tab at the top of this page. Then run the update with iTunes closed.

habe ein neues MacBook gekauft und wollte nun mein IPhone synchronisieren. Offenbar scheint dann aber alles auf dem IPhone gelöscht, da auf dem 'neuen' ITunes nichts vorhanden ist.... verstehe ich da was nicht oder was muss ich machen?
dankeHallo. Die Lösung ist alle Medien (Musik, Filme, Apps...) zuerst auf das neue MacBook in iTunes zu übertragen. Dann das iPhone erneut synchronisieren und alles sollte klappen. Wenn du weitere Hilfe benötigst einfach fragen.

In Deutschland geht das noch nicht. In den USA gehen Videos in der cloud gerade an den Start.
Du musst also deine Videos noch per itunes auf deine Geräte kopieren. -

Old computer itunes to new mac itunes
I have a new Mac and had a Pc previously. I'm wondering why my songs from my itunes account are not apearing in my itunes on my mac. Many were bought in itunes. I understand that songs copied from cd's would be unavailable. But why am I not seeing my itunes bought songs? When I try to sync my device to my new mac it tells me that I will lose any songs that were dowloaded on another itunes library. I don't want to risk it and lose all my songs??
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

Opening a Windows iTunes library with Mac iTunes
I have my iTunes folder on a shared drive on my network. This was created in Windows XP using that version of iTunes.
I have a Macbook Pro and have access to the shared drive. I would like to use that same library so that I can preserve my ratings and playlists. However, if I attempt to open that library I cannot seem to (either the .itl or the .xml file).
Is there a way to share the same library across machines (and not using the shared libraries functionality)?

-pBy design, an iPhone syncs or manually manages iTunes content with ONE COMPUTER at a time. Every time you change computers, all iTunes content is first erased from your phone, to be replaced with the content from the new computer. And no, there's no way to prevent this.
However, if you copy your iTunes library from your Windows computer to your Mac, you'll simple be replacing like content with like content. -

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library, though you'll need to find a different tool such as Carbon Copy Cloner for the Mac.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data. If you don't have any Apple devices then see HT2519 - Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.

After upgrading iTunes on my mac, iTunes won't open.
The other day I upgraded my iTunes to the latest version. Now, I cannot open my iTunes at all. The icon for iTunes shows up for a second then disappears. It would be nice to listen to all the music I bought.. The last time I updated iTunes it crashed my computer everytime I opened it. I think it's a ruse to get people to pay for customer support... Anyways, please help!
Re-download iTunes from the apple website, install it and restart then it should work.

Would have been nice, if it would have stated WHICH invalid character and where it resides, wouldn't it.
Normally it's caused by damage to the installation database within the .msi for the program (in this case the itunes.msi file).
If we clear away the installation configuration information for iTunes, we should be able to get past it.
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
