PC no longer sees iPhone as camera in "my computer".

I used to be able to access my pictures this way using the Windows explorer. How do I get my pictures from the phone to the PC with this feature removed after upgrading to iOS 5?

Try manually opening an import program: Start > All Programs > windows photo gallery
Check if the device shows there.
See if the same happens on another computer if possible.
If the issue does not occur on a different computer, try running windows update and make sure all drivers are up to date.
If the issue does occur on a different computer, try deleting any pictures in the camera roll that were not taken with the iPhone camera (it sounds like you've done this already)
Lastly, restore the device and set up as new. If by 'reinitialized' you mean restore, it was likely restored from backup at the end.

My iphone is no longer visible in itunes even after uninstalling and re-installing itunes.  Also, windows see the iphone as a camera (with the label Apple iPhone).   It used to recognize it as a phone with my phones name.

It sure does, that is the way it is supposed to work.

  • Bluetooth no longer sees iPhone after IOS 5 install

After completing my iOS 5 installs for both my 3GS and iPad 1, I can no longer pair my iPhone with my iPad.  Has anyone else had a similar problem?  Oh yeah, I cannot sync my ipad with iCloud, even after doing a system restore on my iPad.
Epic fail of the rollout, Apple.

Do you have "Personal Hotspot" in your Settings on iPhone 4?  Do you have tethering active with your carrier?
For many who upgraded their iPhone's to iOS Personal Hotspot got hosed.  On the phone, goto Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings and then reset the device.

  • Windows7 no longer sees iphone as a device

I just installed ios 7.0.6 and I can no longer see the iphone as a device on a windows 7 computer, in order to transfer pictures from the iphone to my computer.  I used to be able to see it when opening up my computer and I would also get the autoplay window.  Not anymore.  Are others having the same issue?  Is there another way to offload pics/videos from the iphone to the computer without emailing each one of them?

  • IPhoto 11 No longer sees Iphone 4

I suddenly am unable to import photos from my Iphone 4 into IPhoto 11. My IPad has no problem though.
When I go into Image Capture it sees the IPad only !! (even if the IPad isn't connected ).
Itunes has no problem seeing both products. Help !!

Unfortunately neither resetting or restarting the IPhone 4 seems to have helped. Both Image capture and Iphoto 11 seem to think the IPad is still connected even though it is my IPhone. I even tried with nothing connected and IPhoto automatically showed the IPad as a connected device. I went to Image capture and sure enough it thought the IPad was still connected but nothing was.
Is there a way to " eject " the IPad from Image Capture ? I unmounted it in IPhoto and on relaunch it appeared again as being mounted.
BTW. I do have all software updated as of this writing and I have run a permissions repair /verification and run the disk repair feature as a precaution from the OS CD to no avail.
    Thanks in advance

  • My Mac Mini no longer "sees" my digital camera since upgrading to Maverick. I have a Samsung DV300F connected via USB. I have tried to work around the connection by having the camera join the wireless network I can connect to, but I still cannot "see" it.

    Any suggestions?

Try unplugging the camera, turn it off and on again, plug it back in, and open the Image Capture application.
If it doesn't appear in the sidebar, try opening iPhoto, and then iMovie.
If none of them show it, you might need to reinstall the drivers for the camera.

  • ITunes no longer sees iPhone

Suddenly, after I upgraded to Leopard, iTunes ceased launching when I plugged in the phone. The phone charges, but iTunes does not see it. iPhoto does, but iTunes does not. I reset the phone, reinstalled iTunes, and restarted the computer, to no avail. I also upgraded iPhoto.
I have two computers, a Macbook and a Mac Pro, both synced to the phone. The odd thing is, when I updated iPhoto on the Mac Pro, iTunes could see the phone again. It still doesn't work on the Macbook, though.

I had the exact same problem and I was getting really frustrated after spending several hundred dollars to upgrade to OS X 10.5 and iLife '08 only to find I couldn't synch my iPhones, I have two. However reinstalling iTunes on all my machines, G4, PowerBook, and G5 solved the problem. I did encounter once glitch. One of my iPhones didn't have the latest software and I needed to synch with iTunes before the upgrade worked. I'm all good now.

  • After 8.0.1 to 8.0.2 upgrade, iTunes no longer sees my iPhone..

I'm at a loss. I've done everything listed on the generic help page...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1363?viewlocale=en_US
...and I still can't get iTunes to see my iPhone. It worked fine yesterday, but after the iTunes update, I doesn't show up at all. I can see the "Apple iPhone" under cameras in My Computer so I know it's making a connection. I've repaired iTunes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes. I started and stopped the services. I've restarted my computer, my iPhone. I've tried different USB ports. I've run CCleaner to delete any and all temp crap left behind by anything.
And still nothing works. I'm at a loss, any more suggestions? =(

Me too, the headache started yesterday for me. i had to switch everything to an older laptop, its slow but will work for now. It's a real headache cause i have xp pro x64(which there is no itunes support!!!) so to get itunes to work on that required google searching to see how to hack/extract x64 installer from itunes and add individual parts seperately from regular itunes 8.0.1 for xp pro 32bit. so it wasnt like i could just update to 8.0.2
Anyhow after much searching and failed attempts i had to start anew on a laptop w/just xp pro had to install office (have to set up calendar, import contacts/erase music to sync on that computer now/calendars/move external music drive to laptop...etc...blah blah blah). inconvenient! all within the last 24 hrs.

  • My iphone no longer sees my airplay device

but my 8.1 iphone 5s no longer sees any airplay devices...it did before i bought x-m (which is why i bought in the 1st place)

  • ITunes 10 (Mac) no longer sees my iPhone 4

iTunes no longer thought it was installed on my computer. I installed it, I re-associated my  music, and then I tried to sync my phone, but because I manage music manually, I was getting an error message. I called Applecare to see what the error message meant. After 45 minutes on the phone, we determined that I could sync my phone, and then just restore it to the most recent backup.
Before I did that, I transferred my purchases from the phone to iTunes one more time to be safe. When I had time later, I sat down to begin the sync process.
THat's when iTunes stopped seeing my phone. It connects and I see the little wheel turn, but then it disappears.  image capture launches and connects to my phone, and in the iTunes *menu* it sees my phone, just not in the sidebar.
I tried right-clicking on it to start the restore process as soon as it showed up in the sidebar, but that didn't work.
    I have updated iTunes.
I have re-installed iTunes (although in Lion you can't delete it completely so all I could do is install it over the existing version of iTunes).
I have gone through all of the checklists in the support section. I have changed the cable, I have changed the USB port, the phone is fully charged.
I spent half an hour on hold yesterday with Applecare and never got through to a tech. In order for me to actually be able to get on the phone with them, it means that I have to use my boyfriend's phone for however long it takes, and he's not always home when I have time to call Apple.
Anyone got any other ideas? Every other document I have found in the KB is for pre-Lion. I cannot find anyone else that this is happening to that is on a Mac and on Lion and on iOS5 and the latest version of iTunes. What am I missing?

Help that came up after I posted had a solution: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538

If your computer doesn't see the phone when you plug it in, you may have to take it to an Apple Store.

  • ITunes + iPhone 3G = no longer sees

    Hello,
I have a problem with my iTunes, it no longer sees my iPhone 3G.
    Here's what I did:
    - I uninstalled the Asus AI Load (manages the power of the USB ports when products Apple is connected).
    - I deleted all the iTunes preferences (folder "iTunes" in Music).
    - Depending on the Apple forums and the docs, so I put the DFU mode and I restored.
    - I completely uninstalled components Apple and I have reinstalled (the last DL
    iTunes).
    Nothing worked!
    I am in Windows Pro 7 x64, x64 with iTunes + iPhone 3G 4.1.2.
My mac, it is well recognized. By cons when I plug in Win, my iTunes stopped responding, but such moves well and I recovered photos.
If you have any tracks would be cool because I like (finally) to synchronize my phone!
Thank you in advance and excuse my broken english
    Bye

Well I'll give this a try, but I see no reason why this should necessarily help. My phone has been plugged into a USB port on an Iomega MiniMax external hard drive and has been instantly recognised for weeks before a couple of nights ago.
Its extremely frustrating that on a £1200 computer you only get three USB ports - absolutely pathetic considering the mini has 4. I've seen apologists for Apple saying that the keyboard gives you more, but what if you use bluetooth? And as anyone knows - try using a keyboard hub for anything more than a mouse, and misery soon results!

  • My iPhone 5S no longer sees my wireless printer via bluetooth

my iPhone 5S no longer sees my wireless printer via bluetooth.  All it does in Settings is continually search for devices.  I've rebooted the phone, as well as the printer.  I even sat next to the printer with no luck.  It did find the printer when I initially set it up.

Did this work for you in the past?
ios does not support bluetooth printers without extra software.
    Helper app -- /print n share
Print directly to the widest range of network or WiFi printers available in any app. Alternatively print via your computer to ALL printers including USB & Bluetooth printers. View read and display large PDF, Office & iWork files. Easily transfer & store files from the Cloud or your computer.
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/print-n-share/id301656026?mt=8
You need to buy the right printer.
The iPad uses a print technology called AirPrint. Airprint is a particular communication protocol that flows over WiFi.  So, having a WiiFi printer isn't sufficient. The printer needs to be of an Airprint variety of WiFi.
