PC NOT POSTING (NO BEEP ERRORS/CD ROM&FLOPPY = NO POWER)

Before i begin i just want to say that i recently RMA'd my MSI K8n Neo Platinum socket 754 motherboard and they sent me back a refurbished one, this was a few weeks ago..
My setup:
MSI K8n Neo Platinum Socket 754
Windows XP Pro
Athlon 64 3200+ CPU
ATI x800 XT PE vid
SOund blaster audigy sound card
Ultra X-Connect 500 Watt P/S ( Had Antec 430 Watt True Power BEFORE putting in Ultra X-Connect)
Kingston Hyper-X 2x512 RAM
So im using my PC like normal.. it locked up (dont know why). So i reset the system (hard reset).. as soon as i hit reset, the PC shut off. I turn off the power from the back, wait a while and turn it back on. I turn the PC back on and it turns on fine, BUT it doesnt POST. There is no response from the monitor and nothing happens. The PC seems to be running fine however there are no beep errors or anything, nothing is being displayed on the monitor. Also, it seems the TWO dvd-rw drives i have are not getting power(they didnt open when i pressed the open buttons). So i figured maybe my power supply is bad. I had a NEW Ultra X-Connect 500 Watt P/s that wasnt in use so i opened it up and put it in (took out 430 Watt Antec).. After all said and done i turned on the PC and SAME THING. No post, no beep errors, nothing.. cd roms wouldnt open still. So i tried resetting CMOS and samething. MY ram is only a few weeks old and none of the symptoms point to the ram or any other devices. I already ruled out the Power Supply. Im starting to think that MSI sent me another bad board from the RMA.. I just got it only a few weeks ago. What do you guys think?
UPDATE: I removed the IDE cable of the CD-roms that leads to the motherboard and turned on the PC. Now they have power and open and close perfectly fine.. all signs point to mobo.

So I know none of my LED's or switches need to be rotated as they have worked for weeks. Nonetheless I tried it and here is what I found out. When I took the power sw plug out and turned on the power from the back, it still turned on without me doing anything. Infact now that I think about it, everytime i have turned ont he power from the back, the computer has automaticaly turned on without me having to press the power switch.
Thus, I think the power switch thing is shorted and it is always trying to give it the first bit of power. I think the motherboard keeps thinking like it is just being turned on and that is why it is not working. RMA time, unless anyone has got anything else.

  • Quantity not posted to object error in while activity confirmation

         Hello All,
i am getting below error while activity confirmation , please help me on this below.
Note : Activity and cost center and KP26 no changes are made compare to preview year and current year , for the fiscal year 2014 i didn't get any error , only for the fiscal year 2015 i getting  below error.

    Dear Hari,
If the activity type of the confirmation has set the flags as
mentioned (indicator MANIST in table COKL is set) the system will simply
NOT post any quantity on the sender cost center/activity type during
    the confirmation.
So all quantities which are currently missing (as these were not
updated by the confirmation) must be posted with transaction KB51N.
If you implement the coding corrections of #760437 you have the
possibility to change the message BK263 from "I" to "A" in transaction -
    which is however not recommended.
    So the advised procedure is:
-post all mising quantities with transaction KB51N first
-then run the report ZRKMANIST_RESET to remove the flag MANIST (which is
the reason why the confirmations did not post quantities on the
    sender cost centers)
After this procedure, the quantities will again be updated when you
    post confirmations.
    Best regards,
    Jason

  • Invoices not posted for accounting(Error:Max. no of items in FI is reached)

    Dear Experts,
I have an issue in the billing document. It is not getting posted for Accounting even it is 23(230)and in some cases it is 30 lines line items in it.
It is shoing the error as Max. no of items in FI is reached.
This problem is in Production client only.As we have seen and checked the setting in all the client. It is same every where.
    Could any one help.
The SAP help says:The number of accounting line items are restricted to 999 therefore your billing document line items should be significantly less than that to prevent a failure to post an accounting document.
There are two options open to you, one is to split the billing document automatically each time a maximum number of line items are reached, take a look at IMG > Billing >Country Specific Features > Maximum number of Billing Items, then in your copy control line item Data VBRK/VBRP include the following codeu201D

    Hi,
Check Note 36353 'AC interface: Summarizing FI documents', it give you ideas as how you can avoid this big number of FI items.
    I hope this helps you,

  • Does not boot only beep error code 4-3-4-3 Model: M55 MT-M 8810-W8T

    Have a M55 MT-m 8810-W8T that does not display.
Power i suppose is OK as it powers up and give beep code of 4-3-4-3. From what I found it is a PHOENIX BIOS Q3.07 OR 4.X version. From searching I can only find that it means that "Boot code was read OK'. After the beep code I still have no display. Have tried on-board VGA (without the PCIe videocard). Tried the PCIe videocard, different memory, reset CMOS ......but still cannot get to the BIOS not boot into Windows.
So what does that exactly mean and how do I get the PC to boot up fully?
Thanks for any help in advance.

That usually means a memory error. Remove all of the memory and install one stick in the first slot. I have also overcome this error by "cleaning" the contacts of the memory module with the eraser of a pencil. Gently "scrub" the gold contacts at the botton of the DIMM, completely remove any residue and re-seat the module. It is possible you are mixing high and low density ram which could cause a situation like this.

  • P6N SLI Platinum does not POST or beep

    See my signature for specs.
Problem: The MoBo suddenly stopped booting. When I press the powerbutton the fans start spinning, the green LED on the MoBo lights up, hd's spin up, and that's about it. The monitor goes into standby. There's no POST, not even beeps.
    Tried:
    Clear cmos (multiple times)
    Replace PSU (tagan > corsair)
    Replace VGA (radeon > nvidia)
Bare boot (MoBo, 1 stick of RAM, CPU and VGA)
Other RAM (kingston hyperx ddr2 800)
    Other CPU (q6600 > some core2duo, 2 cores)
    Reseat CPU, RAM, VGA, cables..
Can it be that my MoBo is just.. dead..?

    Hello and welcome,
by the looks of it, it could well be.
Look on the board for leaking/bulging caps/condensators, if you find a few the board is probably dead.
They have a habit of breaking/bulging when they age and then they go kaput, unfortunately.

  • IDOC scenario: MATMAS02 (Application document not posted ALE/EDI errors)

    Hi!
I am almost ready with with my first File to Idoc scenario and having the following error.
    (Idoc of type MATMAS.MATMAS02)
The IDOC will be received on business system B.
Unfortunately the following errors come in tcode BD87 or MM90
    Enter a material type
    Message no. M3098
    No material number transferred
    Message no. M3752
Can some one help me to trace and solve this problem?
    Thank you very much!
    regards
    Holger

    Hi!
    I corrected the error!
Now the Idoc has the status "yellow" which mean "IDOC ready to be transformed to application".
Is that still an error/warning or is everything is ok?
I mean does some background job started and create a material from this IDoc?
I loooked into tcode MM03 and cannot unfortunately detect any new materials....
kein Filtern , kein Umsetzen , kein Versionswandel .
    Message no. B1005
    In Log I could find:
IDoc successfully processed in the ALE layer
The IDoc has passed through the ALE layer successfully and can now be passed to the application. This transfer is either done online or as a background job, depending on the settings in the partner profile.
If there are no further status records, the IDoc waits for the next run of the transfer report to the application.
Success or failure when passing the IDoc to the application is documented in the subsequent status records.
    Actions in the ALE layer
The parameter 'kein Filtern' indicates whether the processing in the ALE layer led to segments of the inbound IDoc being omitted. The important criteria here are the settings in the segment filter and in the distribution model for this sender.
The parameter 'kein Umsetzen' indicates whether field values were converted in the ALE layer. This is the case if the IDoc contains organizational units to be converted, or if the ALE conversion tool for this sender is activated.
The parameter 'kein Versionswandel' indicates whether the IDoc was converted into an earlier version of the IDoc type. This happens if the IDoc type of the sender is different from its own IDoc type.

  • Yet another 870A-G54 not posting

    Recently purchased an MSI 870A-G54.
Installed an X6 1055T 95W AMD Phenom II X6 processor and 2 PSD38G1333KH Patriot DDR3-1333 4GB memory sticks. All using a WIN+ Power 700 W power supply purchased at the same time.
I have tested the machine on a piece of cardboard with just the above components connected together (and an nVidia 8600 GT 256Mb PCI-e video card)
The system will not post or beep. The power LED's are all lit as well as the FSB control knob and the CPU fan does turn on. However, there is no video. As in, the monitor never wakes from suspend.
I tested it with both a DVD-Rom and an HDD and the only thing different is that the DVD-Rom will seek, wait a second, then seek again. The same with the HDD.
I have tried testing the system with 3 different video cards, all with the same result. There is no smell of burnt components, and nothing looks burned or broken.
I removed the CMOS battery for 10 minutes and placed it back into the machine with no change as well.
I have tried moving the memory sticks to different positions, or even just 1 memory stick. I also tried with a different brand of memory with no change. When the memory is removed, there are 3 long beeps, if it helps.
Do I have a bad board or is something else wrong? If the board is bad, did it also destroy the new CPU and/or memory and/or video card(s).
    Specs once again:
    MSI 870A-G54 motherboard
unknown BIOS version as it will not post.
    X6 1055T 95W AMD Phenom II X6 processor
    PSD38G1333KH Patriot DDR3-1333 4GB memory stick x2
    nVidia GeForce 8600GT
    WIN+ POWER 700W HEC-700TE-2WX amp ratings for the +3.3V, +5V and +12V are 24A, 20A, 30A
No HDD or anything else connected at the moment.

    The little green sticker says:
    A7599
    AMSH70
    Exactly like that.
Also, I plugged in the two plugs that are on the board and in the instruction manual. First, JPWR1, the massive plug with many little plugs on it all in a row. Second, JPWR2, with its little double row making 8 plugs total. I don't see any other plugs on it and the instruction booklet didn't say to plug in anything else, power-wise.
And, as I stated in the first post, I tested the machine with 3 different video cards all with the same results.
As for an alternate power supply, I tried my old TAO Enterprise 470W that was in my old computer. No change.
Also, from reading other posts on this forum, I feel I need to state a few obvious things that I have done to skip those steps and to give you more info.
First, I did clear the CMOS by removing the jumper and battery for a length of time.
Second, I checked the bottom and top of the board looking for damaged components. None were found. It looks the same as it does on the MSI website.
Third, I checked the memory in all possible positions with both one and two sticks of the new memory and with the off-brand memory.
Fourth, from reading the forum posts here, the moderators are big on the copy/paste post saying to remove it from the case and place it on a non-conductive surface and bare-bones check it. That is where is has been since the beginning. It has never been inside of a case. So a post saying to take it out of the case and put it on a piece of cardboard is not needed.
Fifth, aside from the video card, everything else that is plugged into this system now, the CPU, memory and power supply, is brand new. So if it could possibly be the culprit of one of these other items (none of which I can check) then they need to be replaced instead of the motherboard.
Sixth, while I am not a professional, this is not my first build. I have never had this kind of problem before.
Seventh, it will not be as easy for me to send these parts back in, as I currently live in Japan and bought these components off of Amazon Japan. So if there is anything you can think of for me to try that may work, please let me know.

Key in your Idoc number in BD87, execute
select the error message and then follow the menu path :
EDIT --> restrict and process  (Select)
In the next screen UNCHECK the Bkgd Processing and execute
Now EDIT --> Process --> foreground from error or in foreground mode.
This will lead you the screen where it errored out.

  • New H97 Gaming 3 will not POST with i5 4690 - Need an old CPU to reflash BIOS?

I just finished assembling my new computer with an i5 4690, H97 Gaming 3, 8GB Kingston DDR3 RAM, 600W PSU. I ordered everything from Amazon a week ago.
When I turn it on, it does not POST or beep, it just power cycles every few seconds. I don't know what BIOS version it has because nothing shows on the screen. I believe I an old version of the BIOS that is incompatible with the i5 4690 but I need the CPU to work to update the BIOS..
I'm not sure I am reading the compatibility list correctly. Are CPUs listed as "7918v10.zip" working on stock BIOS?

I will install an old CPU, reflash BIOS with current version, and replace the CPU with my i5 4690.
I read on Tom's Hardware that the Pentium G3258 is compatible with stock BIOS. Is this true?

  • P67A-GD55 will not post

I am absolutely stuck and about ready to RMA this board as I believe the one I got is DOA, though I'm not 100% so I'm posting here to make sure that it is in fact the motherboard that is faulty and not some other piece. My computer will not post, no beeps, no video; it simply powers on, sort of.
Allow me to describe the problem. When I push the power button, there is a delay of about 5-10 seconds before the computer finally powers on. Once it does power on, it spins up, for maybe 3 seconds, then shuts off, then about a second later, it powers back on again. It will reset itself 5-6 times before finally staying on, then it sits there. No beeps, no post, no video.
Here's what I've done to troubleshoot the issue.
I have removed any attached hardware (video cards, hdds, etc) one at a time to see if one of them was causing the problem, but to no avail. I removed one of the sticks of RAM, that didn't work, then switched the two, also didn't work. I thought it was perhaps the power switch, so I swapped that out, that also didn't work. I tried a different PSU, also a failure.  I got down to just the cpu, the motherboard, the psu, and a power switch, and it did the same thing. I double checked the CPU to make sure it was in properly (just in case), and it was in correctly. I'm not sure what else I can do to trouble shoot this board. I cleared the CMOS every time I changed/removed a piece of hardware and even bought a new battery.
    Here are my specs:
    MSI P67A-GD55
    Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz - Model BX80623I72600K

If there are bent pins, what is the best approach to straightening them?
A strong light, a good magnifier, a pair of tweezers, & a steady hand.
It is also recommended for initial startup, that only one RAM stick is used. Placed in the primary dimm slot (blue closest to the CPU). Then load OS, drivers, etc., then add the other stick(s) later.
