PC Reinstalled - now I cannot open my purchased eBooks

Hi,
I had reinstalled my PC recently but now I cannot open any of my eBooks. I get DRM errors saying that the purchase has already been fulfilled. I cannot even get support on Digital Editions because the offical Adobe support site does not list Digital Editions in the dropdown listbox among the other products.
Can someone from Adobe please help me get this sorted out as it is keeping me from getting my work done. This is HIGHLY frustrating.

Ric, I had XP on my machine, but started to experience some problems. I did a brand new XP installation (re-partitioned and re-formatted the harddrive as well). I did not do any sort of named activation as far as I am aware of. I simply opened the ebx.etd files and it downloaded the books automatically. Now when I try and open the one book (in other words open the ebx.etd file in Digital Editions) I get the following error: Adobe DRM Error System: 5 State: 4 Class: 400 Code: 19 Message: Error on response from server. Scroll below or view error.log for more details. Adobe DRM client Error: 419 The voucher for this document has already been fulfilled or the ETD file is no longer valid. Server Code: 410 410 Gone (18) OrderID <EDITED OUT> has already been fulfilled Requested URL: http://203.188.156.74/fulfill/ebx.etd ?action=purchase &orderid=<EDITED OUT>&bookid=EBK:<EDITED OUT> --- end --- When I try and open the ebx.etd for the second book I get the following error: IOError on Network Request. You only know a very small part of the story.   THE ORIGINAL iMAC WAS ONLY JUST OVER A MONTH OLD! The original Appointment was screwed up by Apple Support(?). I was told to drop it off in the morning and return for the 3:15PM appointment, which I did only to find there had been no appointment made, but the case number was in the system. I was told 3-5 days only to be notified by e-mail on the third day the logic board (motherboard) was bad.   Another wait. A week later it was ready and it ran from about noon until the next day about 11 AM when it had an update that required a restart where is promptly died during the restart. The Mgr of the Apple Store was gracious and had the computer replaced with a new one rather than trying something else.   Perhaps, you think it is fun to sit in a noisy store for half an hour or more, but I sure don't. Where is Apple's QC??? China!
I owned a computer business for 15 years and never once made a customer go through this much trouble.
If my computers made it through a 72 hour burn-in and did not have a problem in the next couple of weeks it never did have a failure.   My 15 year record of building computers had less than a 1% failure rate.
By the way, for your information if a new logic board is installed (I seemed to see several being done each visit) and the App does not recognize it, just uninstall it and go to the App store and re-install it.

To run Mouitain Lion you need to update Logic.
For the updaters to work the Logic application must be:
a) Within the Applications folder, and not in any sub-folder
b) Named "Logic Pro" with no extra numbers or spaces

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (Although the procedure is for Vista and 7 and you've got XP, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

When the update fails what if any error report do you get, specifically? Please do this before trying again:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC.

The trial has ended but you still have the software. This is on the assumption you will want to buy it. If you don't, then uninstall it
* the usual way for Windows
* run the uninstaller app for Mac (don't just trash it)
You may then need to repair or reinstall Adobe Reader, and you will be back how you were.

Are you getting a message about an unsupported SIM? It sounds like you had a phone that had been hacked to work on a network other than the one it was locked to and updating it has re-locked the phone to the original network.
Where exactly did you get the phone? What network are you on? If you did not purchase your phone directly from DU or from Etisalat (assuming you are using a carrier in the UAE) or from a carrier in the country where you purchased the phone or directly from Apple, then you got a gray market phone and it was most likely hacked to unlock it in the first place. Most of these gray market, hacked phones come from the US and were originally locked to AT&T.
Only the carrier the phone is locked to can authorize an unlock. If it is locked to AT&T, they will NOT authorize an unlock.
If any of my assumptions are incorrect, I apologize. We need more information, though to make a recommendation.

You may try the list (5) being less likely).
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by issues with opening a file from external media. You may have tried/done some of them already; 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you may find the folder here:

5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);

6) Uninstall (ticking the box to delete the preferences), run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

I have created a document on my iPhone, and stored it on iCloud. I have updated the document both on my iPhone and on my iPad. Now, I cannot open the document on my iPhone anymore, even a reset of the phone did not help. Via iPad I also cannot open the file, and when I try to download it to my PC via icloud.com I get an error message.I suspect that the file has become corrupt as I have updated it on the iPhone while I did not have network connectivity.
I have two questions:
1.) Is it possible to recover an earlier version of the file?
2.) What can I do to prevent this from happening again in the future?
3.) Does the iPhone sync changes to iCloud in the background or does the application need to be active?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
I have seen previous versions mentioned in a pop up message before on iCloud.com, but I'm not really sure at all how it would help, as I couldn't get it to do anything.
The best advice I have at this time is to back up your work on your iOS device by regularly saving it to iTunes, if anything goes wrong you can then either load it into the numbers app again on the device or recover it via iTunes on your computer.
My syncs are immediate, I never get chance to see if it works in the background, sorry.
