PC says I dont have permission to delete photos from my iphone 5
I run a small business selling motorbike parts, use my iPhone 5 to take pictures and put them on the selling site
Until recently, when I plug my IPhone into my Windows 7 PC, I could MOVE the photos instead of COPY because that frees up space for more photo's in one move.
Now when I go to move it copies the photo's, but it won't delete the photos from my iPhone via because it says "I don't have permission" ??
Can anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong, I think it was from the start of iso8 I got the problem.
I don't want to keep going into the phone and delete them
I am the only user on this computer and the admin, It also started this on all 3 computer in my office connect it to.

Ok, think I have answered my own question.
Problem solved in typical apple style, love the phone, hate apple
When they upgraded to iso8, they did something to the photo side, they deny it, BUT the lady in the local apple shop said they did and they have seen this problem many times
To solve this delete ALL your photos from your IPhone, you can put them back in via import using icloud if you wish after
Anyway this cured the problem, I can now delete all or any of my photos by selecting and deleting on my PC, or via MOVE
Obviously with the IPhone linked via USB

I tried to update my ipad through wifi and followed the steps. It says that update is complete however i must connect to itunes and restore the updates but itines says i dont have permission to do so. KIndly assist on the stages to follow. Screen is black ad i unable to work on it.

Cant access some of my files in time machine- says I dont have permission to view them.
Hi, I cant seem to find some of my older files in time machine. Says I dont have permission to view them. I recently had a new hard drive installed in my Mac and had all info restored to it then did a time machine back up onto my WD drive. Time machine window still seems to have the earlier dates and windows but I cant acces them. Anyone got any ideas how I can safely get them back? Thanks D

Just as photos that were taken more than 30 days ago remain on your MacBook Air, so will photos that are deleted from your iPhone.
Photos in My Photo Stream are saved on the iCloud server for 30 days.
Because your Mac and PC have more storage than your iOS devices, you can choose to download all of your My Photo Stream photos automatically.
In iPhoto or Aperture preferences on your Mac, select Photos (or Photo Stream) > My Photo Stream > Automatic Import. All of your photo stream photos will import into your Events, Projects, Photos, Faces, and Places folders in iPhoto or Aperture.

My iPhone is running out of storage. I want to delete a bunch of photos on my phone. I have iCloud. How do I delete photos from the iPhone and keep them on my computer? I need to free up storage as my phone will no longer take photos.
The only way you can do that is to import them into your library first, but you may have done that already.
The easiest way to tell is to select a photo from the photostream album in iPhoto and ctrl-click on it, if it gives you the option to import it isn't in your iPhoto library, if it offers you the option to show in library it has already been imorted. -

The same way you put them there. The sync process. open itunes, connect iphone, select what you want on the iphone , sync

You can delete them when you import the photos to your computer - using whatever softare that you import them with or you can go to the pics and hit the trash can on the bottom of the screen.

Well, if they were synced fomr a computer then the iPhone says the computer "owns" them for instructional purposes. You have two options.
1) Plug your iPhone up to any computer with iTunes. You can get itunes at www.itunes.com Then tell it to sync photos, but then select no photos or an empty folder. This will override what the previous computer put on your iPhone.
2) Go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings and say goodbye to everything including those synced photos. If you make a quick backup first in iCloud (be sure it finishes) then you can restore form your iCloud backup via Wifi and those synced photos wont be there. I don’t understand the difference on my iPhone between PhotoStream (with iCloud icon), Photos (the icon) and Albums and Camera Roll (under Photos icon) and and Camera Roll (under Camera icon). They seem to be more or less the same thing, but deleting photos in one place does not delete them elsewhere.
When I tried to import from my camera to my iMac computer the computer would not recognized 900 of the 920 photos on the camera so I had to (successfully) use the Image Capture application to import them.
I want to delete photos from my iPhone 4 in order to free up storage (I only have 8GB.) But in synching I do not want to delete any images from my iPhoto on my computer.
Is there a way that I can Delete All under Edit in either Photos or Camera on my iPhone and check about 20 ijmages to remain on the iPhone? I could find no command to Select All and then uncheck the 20 photos I want to keep.

Help!I have Version 6.1.3 because the clogged storage will not allow me to upload Version 7.1. Catch 22. This is basically a storage issue, I believe. After loading my photos from my iphone to my mac iphoto it gives me the option to delete photos on my phone. When I click to delete the photos do not delete from my phone. I am out of storage due to I can not delete photos from my iphone.
That problem is probably with your iPhone and not with iPhoto.
But try to download again to your Mac, this time use "Image Capture" instead of iPhoto.
Launch Image Capture from your applications folder.
Connect your phone to a USB port.
Select all the photos in your camera roll to be deleted.
Then press the "delete" key.
If there are photos on your iPhone that have been synced with iTunes, they can only be deleted by syncing again and deselecting the albums:

I have seen an solution:
1. When in the iOS 7 Photo app you tap Photo button in the bottom toolbar.
2. Then you tap Select in the top right Navbar
3. Then find a photo which is NOT in the Photo-stream and NOT in the Camera Roll. I have a bunch of these for some reason after updating to iOS 7. These photos will get a checkmark, but will not turn the trash can blue.
4. You can then select a photo that IS IN Photo-stream. It will also get a checkmark and the counter will display (2), and the trash can will turn Blue.
5. You can then tap the blue trash can. The Photo-stream selected photo gets deleted BUT the photo the selected photo that is NOT in Photo-stream and NOT in camera roll IS Still There!

You can't for two reasons: First, the iPhone doesn't have a hard drive. Second, there is no Trash folder, so once something is deleted it is gone forever. If you were foresighted enough to sync your phone regularly the photos should still be in the app you used for managing photos from digital cameras on your computer, and they are also in the iPhone backup on your computer. If you enabled Photo Stream they are also in iCloud. But if you didn't take advantage of any of these backup options you are out of luck.
