Problem Description:
=========================
After pairing with PC the PC-Suite application installs the Modem "PC Connectivity Bluetooth Modem". When I launch from PC-Suite "Connect to the Internet" and configure settings I am able to select the Modem and the operator profile. When I attempt to connect using this application I receive an error:
"Failed to connect to the network! The modem may be used by another application or the modem may not be configured properly".
Under windows device manager if I try to run diagnostics on the Modem it spits out an error " The port that the modem is attachedcould not be opened. This may be the result of a hardware conflict. However Device manager reports no hardware conflict!
This is the otput og the log:

This worked in the previous version of PC-Suite.
I have tried to re-install , clean out previous settings etc etc... I can workaround for now with my USB cable but any pointers as to what is worng would be most helpful.
Thank you all in advance.

I had the same problem as this on a Nokia E51.
The general solution to this problem for any phone.... from first principles...
1... Delete the Modem entry for the phone, in Phone and Modems,
       Control Panel.
2... Delete the RFCOMM Protocol TDI in Device Manager.
3... Delete the pairing for the phone in Nokia PC Suite.
4... Unpair the computer in your phone handset
5... Re-Pair the phone, and test its paired and connects
       in PC Suite.
6... Rescan for devices, Device Manager.
This will reinstall the 'RFCOMM Protocol TDI' in Device Manager.
7... Check you are connecting to the correct access end-point for your network.
       You can...
7.1... enter the correct network address in the PC Suite
'Connect to Internet settings', Access point box.
If you configure the connection manually,
there is a greater chance it will work, as opposed to auto.
                      OR
7.2... enter the correct network address in the modem Properties,
                      Advanced, 'Extra initialisation commands' box.
Extra Initialisation commands for the UK Vodafone network would be
      +CGDCONT=,,"wap.vodafone.co.uk"
If you choose the 7.2 option you don't need PC Suite open to connect in future. You can simply find the connection in Start Menu, 'Connect to' menu. Either 'double-click', or 'right-click | connect' and you will be connected.
This network connection is normally created by PC Suite. If you play around with it and connections start failing, you could 'right-click | delete' and set it back up in PC Suite. to reinitialise it back to sensible settings - remebering to re-enter your network access end-point.
That should deal with any hosed connection, whatever the reported reason on connect.
Happy browsing :-)

  • Nokia PC Suite + XP SP3 + N70 + CA-53 + Connect = ...

I have XP SP3 with all updates from Microsoft. I am using the latest Nokia PC Suite (7.1). I use my Nokia N70 as modem to connect to the Internet using GPRS and the USB cable CA-53.
I did not have problems on XP SP2 but on XP SP3 my computer crashes and reboots as soon as PC Suite tries to connnect to the device and send the username/password. Modem diagnostics work fine using modem driver from the device manager.
I have older mother board Asus P4S800MX with SiS chipset on a desktop system. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, repaired and tried many things but it always goes back to this problem.
I thought I fixed it and it worked but then after reboot it failed again. I think problem must be related to what Nokia does when connecting to my N70 as a modem for GPRS connectivity to the Internet via the CA-53 USB cable.
I can communicate with the phone using contacts and see messages in the Nokia PC Suite when it is started, so it appears that the USB driver is working well to communicate with the phone but using the phone as an Internet modem, I get a crash (no blue screen just a reboot).
Here is the funny part, I ended up installing Linux Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid on my same Asus P4S800MX desktop and had no problems connecting to the Internet using linux and my Nokia N70 using the same USB CA-53 cable... without the use of any special linux software... just the standard installation of Ubuntu. So I have confirmed that my problem is not hardware related. Also did extensive memory tests of my computer and no failures.
If anyone as any ideas of how I might solve this problem or even how to go about troubleshooting.. that would be greatly appreciated. I have ensured all driver files exist for Nokia Suite related devices as well by examining driver details. I even installed a clean version of XP and all the updates for SP3 and the problem still happens. I am thinking that perhaps SP3 and Nokia PC Suite has some problems with my older N70 phone.
I have searched the Internet for anyone else having my problem but it seems hard to find so I am left with either giving up on Windows when needing the Internet and converting to Linux (Ubuntu) permanently.. and loosing some of the windows things I enjoy.... like video chatting on MSN and Yahoo.
If you can give me suggestions, please don't be scared to include advanced debugging techniques because I am a programmer/analyst.
    CONCLUSION:
    Nokia PC Suite + XP SP3 + N70 + CA-53 + Connect = CRASH!!

Hey...sorry if you are expecting for an answer but I would like to inquire to you my problem, hoping that you have through this also or someone asked you of the same problem
This is my problem...when I used NokiaSoftwareUpdater, my memory card then have a password which I never remember putting...I have gone through the discussions and I have found out that many too have the same problem... What am gonna do..plss help...

  • Pc Suite doesn't recognize a USB connected E-50

    Hi,
    Short premise, I'm a noob...
I've been given an "old" E-50 (first version, without camera, branded). There were no USB-PC cable so I've bought an original Nokia CA 53.
I've downloaded the last PC Suite (7.1.18) and installed it. I'm running XP service pack 2. After the reboot, I've Started the program, followed step by step the program but nothing happens when the program tell me to connect the phone to the usb port. Basically the phone recognize that is being plugged to a pc (it asks me if I want to go in "pc suite mode"), but the pc doesn't regognize the phone.
I've un-installed pc suite and tried again the procedure, but with no luck.
The cable seems to work (since the phone recognize being plugged to a USB port) BUT I've also have a macbook. After downloadying the isynch plug in for the E50 there is no way to make the mac recognize the phone via USB (same pc problme basically....) while via blootooth the program synch the phone just fine.
I really need to have the firmware updated, it's one of the first one and the phone takes ages to send sms.
Thanks a lot for you help.

try uninstalling pc suite, pc connectivty solution and nokia connectivity drivers
then download nokia pc suite cleaner from http://europe.nokia.com/get-support-and-software/download-software/nokia-pc-suite/extras/nokia-pc-su... and run it to clean ur pc
after u clean ur pc, i'd suggest saving the pc suite installer from the website and install it from ur local drive
if my post helped u out, please click the Star next to it to add some KUDOS to my name

If I click configure > Next, I get: 'Cannot use the connection type. Check that all the needed hardware, software and drivers are available.'
Although I have SP2 I can see no way installing the SP2 BT driver.
Any help would be mopst appreciated, ta.
What version of Windows is being used: XP

  • Nokia Suite won't find Nokia 5610 on bluetooth

Hello, I recently upgraded from Nokia Ovi Suite to Nokia Suite and after I did that, Nokia Suite won't find my 5610 by bluetooth. I tried uninstall and reinstall Nokia Suite but no results. I noticed however that Nokia 5610 has been removed from the compatibility list with Nokia Suite. Does this mean 5610 won't work with Nokia Suite? I've also updated my bluetooth drivers but no effect.
    Regards

    Hi tokenize,
Very much welcome to the Nokia Discussions Forum! Download Nokia PC suite and try the connection with that.
You can also take a look at this page and see if downloading bluetooth drivers from there helps. 5610 has indeed been removed from Nokia Suite compatibility list.
Hope you're able to connect your to the PC now.

  • Problems Connecting Bluetooth

I Can't get my new i6 to connect with Bluetooth. Any suggestions.

The attempted connection is to a land line Panasonic home phone.  The  car
is a 2015 model.  I did not restore the 6 from my old 4s.  Does  the name
have any relevance?  Pardon my ignorance, but I am NOT a  sophisticated
techie.  It was very simple with the 4s.  I turned on  bluetooth, put it in
proximity to the other electronics, the phone identified  them and I could
connect.  With the 6, the phone won't identify any  bluetooth device with which to
connect.  In my simplistic mind that seems  to point to a problem with the 6
or its software.  I have noted that others  report similar problems on the
internet in non-Apple forums.  Do you have  any suggestions?

  • How can I connect Bluetooth in iPad retina with non apple devices ?

How can I connect Bluetooth in iPad retina with non apple devices ?

    What devices?
The iPad can only pair with earphones, speakers and keyboards.
It cannot directly pair with other phones or computers for file transfer or other operations.
Most Bluetooth devices will have a user guide to connect them to other devices. follow that to start the process.
From the iPad side, its just a matter of going inot Settings->BlueTooth turning it on, and searching for the device to pair.

  • Power consumption in Connected Standby Mode too high with no obvious cause even in airplane mode

My Windows 8.1 tablet is draining at a rate of about 3% per hour or 833mW drain while in connected standby mode.
I have muted the sound and set the system to airplane mode, but still receive 3% drain per hour.
The PEP PRE-VETO rate and COUNT are 0. The DRIPS Histopgram has 100% at 32s. The top 5 offenders are all green with 0% active time.
The only value I am unsure about is IR TRUNCATE PERCENTAGE which on Microsoft's examples is always 0, but on my device it is 91% or higher. What does this mean?
Also is there anyway to find out why even though the sleepstudy looks fine I am getting such a high battery drain even with everything off in airplane mode?

    Hi Tesmond
We might need more details about your device such as mode and Manufacturers.
And please keep your system, device driver and firmware up to date for good measure.
I think you are using sleep study to trace power usage. I didn’t found any information about IR TRUNCATE PERCENTAGE. I am supposing IR stand for Infrared. So we suggest you check if these is infrared port/connection device on your tablet.
Also confirm this issue with manufacturers to check if it is known issue caused by firmware or device driver.
    Regards

  • Jazz.suit font doesn't work in 64 bit mode

Ever since the new update, and using 64 bit mode, the jazz fonts disappear. Most of the score stays intact (including events which are generated by any other font, such as jazztext, jazztextextended), but anything which uses the Jazz.suit font simply disappears.
In 32 bit mode, this doesn't occur.
I tried to replace my Jazz.suit font and it didn't fix it, and this is happening uniformly on 3 computers I use at work with Logic Pro 9.1. Unchecking use external font if available fixes this (basically doesn't use the jazz.suit font) and Sonata and Swing fonts work (the other choices).
    Any ideas?

  • I cannot connect bluetooth between an iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.

I cannot connect bluetooth between an iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4S. Any reasons this might be happening? Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thank you.

To access iCloud all your iPhone needs is iOS 5 or later and an Internet connection, either via cell service or WiFi. Then just set up iCloud with the same Apple ID and password you've been using on your iPhone 4.
You might want to consider just getting your iPhone 4 replaced by Apple. Based on the prices I've seen for iPhone 3GS units, Apple's replacement price isn't that much more, and you'll be certain of getting a working, non-hacked iPhone.  Apple's replacement price for the iPhone 4 is US $149.

Here’s how to connect Bluetooth devices in Win 7; however note this fact:
If you’re using Bluetooth software from a manufacturer other than Microsoft, Windows might not be able to detect your Bluetooth device and let you add it to your computer.  This certainly the way my Qosmio works searching for the help, such as “Change settings for a Bluetooth enabled device” is not supported in Toshiba.
