Pc suite 7.0.8.2 no new messages after unicode SMS...

I was using 7.0.8.2 on XP quite happily until a strange problem appeared. after receiving a multipart unicode SMS on my 6300, pc suite was no longer aware of any new messages - i.e. when I look at the "inbox", it had every message up to the unicode (chinese) message, but nothing newer than that. that makes the program no longer useful for me. I did not have this problem with any of the previous versions of pc suite. (I am a long-time user).
has anyone else had this problem?

You can try to move that unicode SMS to SIM card.

you need to do a master reset on the phone but before you do that make sure to backup you files without the settings and applications on your comp using the ovi suite bec master reset will remove eveything that you have on your phone memory. after the backup dial this code on your phone *#7370# lock code 12345. if your phone is turned on again try now to send a new text message. if it will allow you now, restore now you backup file but dont include the settings.

Problem with new message after creating a note

Has anyone else had this behavior in Mail 3? It happens to me quite frequently- the problem goes like this:
Create a new note
Hit done on the new note to save it
Then, when trying to create a new message, nothing happens. I can hit the button all day and nothing happens.
Next, upon quitting mail, I see all of these drafts show up and when I restart Mail, there are as many blank drafts as times I tried to create a new message.
I've sent a bug report. It doesn't happen all the time but it has happened a lot to me.

I have this same problem. I had not bothered to track down its root cause, but I do (rarely) use the Notes feature in Mail, so that may well be what triggers this annoying behavior.

Cannot view new messages after setting up Gmail

I had problems setting up my IMAP so had to delete my Gmail account and reinstall. Anyway, I have about 12K emails, and can view some, but I have 200 new message that I CANNOT View.
Any suggestions??? I've tried nearly everything.
Should I disable POP is IMAP is enabled?

Update: message sent from Mozilla to confirm this new message does appear, so it seems that messages received today 9/26 that were sent before Thunderbird updated to 31.1.2, are not viewable. The header appears but not the message itself. Messages created before midnight are appearing, this is most strange. Maybe the messages from today will appear after midnight.

SMS inbox doesn't show new messages after upgrading to OS 5.0.0.681. SMS format appears as IM.

My SMS inbox doesnt show new messages and also my Curve 8900 doesnt prompt for any new messages. However, the Mobiso application (which logs calls, texts) shows messages coming in with its text lengths. I asked this to Blackberryhelp on Twitter but it said to contact service provider, but there is nothing wrong with it. The format of the SMS inbox should have something wrong otherwise the Mobiso application should not have logged all messages.
Please help me, i am missing all my daily SMS since last 20 days.
Will degrading the OS help? Which is recommended OS version for BB Curve 8900?

Create new message after new ical starts

hey all... been looking for a thread on this but didn't see it.
when i first launch the new ical app and create a new event then attempt to enter the title (subject?) for that a event ical interrupts the process and closes the event even though i haven't finished entering the title.
sometimes it will throw me into the edit event mode (like when you hit cmd E on an existing event) and blur the focus from the subject of the event.
i can see ical trying to sync when this happens (icon by [email protected] on top of my calendar list). and typically it only happens for the first few seconds after ical launches. of course - i could just leave ical running but i do a lot of hd video and high end graphics editing and i don't want to use system resources for ical if i dont' have to.
makes sense to me - launch the program, add event, close program. pretty much how i use everything on os x. when you're done with a program you close it.
anyone else seeing this?

anyone seeing this problem - ical won't let me enter a topic for new events and instead loses focus from the entry... only happens for first minute after launching ical.
this has only been happening since upgrading to the new mobile me version of ical. never happened before but now it's pretty much unusable. see previous post for full description.

Running pacman -Sy immediately after running pacman-optimize might just undo some of the work pacman-optimize did, since it downloads entirely new sync repos and replaces the existing ones.

Do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide, Appendix B:
Restart phone
Reset phone
Restore in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup
If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware problem that needs evaluation by Apple or whoever provides iPhone warranty service in your country.

I am usinf Nokia n73 ... After i connect my n73 to PC SUITE ... when new message arrive its alerts on phone ... PC Suite take time to detect new message ... When i see message altert on phone i press REFRESH button ... its refresh all of my phone message ... its download again 5000 messages again every time i press REFRESH button ...

Hi ghanchi2000,
By clicking Refresh, nokia communication will try to refresh all your messages. Since you have got 5000 messages surely it will take time. Communication Centre has to refresh the entire messages of the connected phone, whereas on phone UI, it will show the moment message is arrived,... In case of Nokia communication centre, once you refresh it will refresh the entire contents(in your case sms) of the connected device.

Deleted names appearing in the "To" line of a new message

Hi, Everytime I choose an email address to send a new message, after entering one or two letters, my selection of contacts includes addresses that I've deleted in my address book and no longer need. Is there a cache or folder somewhere that I can delete to stop this happening?

Hello Kevan.
The Mail.app stores all message recipients in the list of Previous Recipients in Mail (which are stored in the Address Book data file) and the address autofill feature pulls from the Address Book and list of Previous Recipients.
At the Mail.app menu bar, go to Window and select Previous Recipients.
A previous recipient that is already entered in the Address Book will have a vCard icon to the left of the name or email address. You can remove a previous recipient from the list or add a previous recipient to the Address Book.

Mail - New message

When using mail, can I open a new message in a new window so that I can still browse old messages without having to close and reopen the message all the time?

It wasn't clear what you wanted to do and I thought you meant to read a new message separate from the mail window. If you mean to Compose New Message, after you click on that icon, if you want to go back to the mail window while keeping the compose new message open, just click on the top portion of the mail window, where the colored dots live. That will bring the mail window to the front and the composing window will be in the background. Just go back and forth between the two as you need to.
