PC Suite 7 - Loading Style Failed - Clean Vista ma...

Hello,
I work at a company that migrates from windows XP to Vista , we are trying to deploy PC Suite on a clean vista machine , and we tried on several machines. but the application straight downloaded from nokia.com/pcsuite starts with an error. its shows a little popup box telling "loading style failed" some how the gui doesnt start up.
on 5 machines the same error pops up but on 1 machine afther a new ghost has been placed on it) it did start up but the gui was completely messed up (small letters , or no letters, size of the gui was wrong so buttons where shown half). then exiting the application trough right click on the tray icon of PCSync it came with the same error starting it up the next time.
Fun thing is that all the applications work fine, when we start the executables, as example
C:\Program Files\Nokia\PC Suite 7\contentcopier.exe
C:\Program Files\Nokia\PC Suite 7\videomanager.exe
and so on.
But the PCSuite.exe wont load. (and the get connected(.exe) wizard also switches back to Pcsuite.exe when exiting
I tried with several profiles and also machine configurations. compatibility mode, run as administrator and so on..and so on.. but sofar no luck.
i think it might be a policy or other (3rd party software) interference on our end. but i have no clue where to start looking.
Some help would be greatly apreciated.
Kind regards
Arnold

Thank you AdrianHughes for your swift reply,
i just downloaded as suggested the latetst version of Ovi Suite, are you shure its not still in beta testing ?, cause this final release that i downloaded starts up with a Portugese-Brazillian interface & licence agreement. then it wants to check for updates wich i allowed to do (ofcourse we want the latest version)
while installing this message popped up:
Seems the common Dell Optiplex 775 (business pc) isnt supported
So im sorry to say this isnt gonna work for me (my company) since this machine configuration is used alround .. and if i package this and distribute it, it might not work on slightly different configurations)
I had a program running in the back that recorded everything the application does so lets see what it actually did ... extracted/downloaded several files to %appdata%\OviInstallerCache including 2 of the 3 Prerequirements (being windows components).
but what amazed me more is that this application is build on the *old* components of Pc Suite 7 what didnt work in the first place under vista (even tho these are loose components) And nokia made it even harder to deploy this software using microsoft installer technologie .. instead of making 1 Msi file to be installed.. they now have a total of 9 MSI files whilest PC suite 7 had 4..
Prerequirements:
WindowsMediaFormat11.msi
VC90-x86.msi (or 64)
MSXML6.msi
Application it self:
NokiaConnectivityDriver.msi (same as nokia pc suite 7 *maybe slightly changed)
PCCS.msi (same as nokia pc suite 7 *maybe slightly changed)
OviTrilogy.msi
Oviplatform.msi
Nokia_Ovi_Suite_Software_updater_1_8__39420.msi
Nokia_Ovi_Suite.msi
Why not make 1 msi file for deployment..  well atleast thanks for the support sofar, if any one else has an idea on how to fix this problem with pc suite 7 im all ears.(eyes on screen)
Kind Regards
Arnold

  • PC Suite 6.84 fails on Vista

    Hi!
    I recently received an update notfication from PC Suite. I downloaded and upgraded the N73 phone software. PC Suite immediately failed to synch with Outlook.
    Therefore, I also upgraded the PC Suite software. Still no synch.
    Then I uninstalled everything from Nokia in my computer, restarted and reinstalled PC Suite.
    This time I got a connection to the N73. Synch still fails as it is unable to find any Outlook profiles. When I click "Cancel" in Synchronize setting, synchronization actually begins but fails after a few seconds and reports an error, PC Sync cannot find an Outlook profile (in swedish).
    Please help! I'm totally depending on having my calendar synchronised. Is there any way to roll back?

    Actually, I found a solution and 6.84 works with Vista.
    After half a workday lost on this ridiculous problem I found out how to make it work. It turns out that you need to run PC Suite as an administrator which Vista normally don't. You need to right click on the PC Suite icon, select properties and select "Run as administrator" in the "Compatibility" pane.
    These runtime rights are not to be confused with the administrator priviledge you need to grant the PC Suite installation program.
    Anyway, when running with administrator priviledge, the synchronisation works with Outlook and the PC Suite hasn't crashed, yet...
    I hope Nokia fixes this in the next release. I feel sorry for all those poor people who, like me, got a notice to upgrade their software and ends up with a total mess. Not exactly what you want to start your work week with :-(
    Thank you very much for shining the light on us. I have similar problem too. It very hard to find the worng doer. Thanks again.

  • Installing Developer Suite 10g R2 on Windows Vista failed !!

    It seems Oracle has a new challenge of producing a new edition of Developer Suite that will install on Windows newest falvour, Vista. I installed Oracle db 11g on my Vista O.S. and everything runs normally. But my Developer Suite 10g R2 failed to launch setup.exe, giving me the following error:

    Checking operating system version: must be 5.0, 5.1 or 5.2. Actual 6.0

    Exiting Oracle Universal Installer, log for this session can be found at C:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory\logs\installActions2007-11-16_06-40-54PM.log

    Any idea to solve the problem? Or it's all that I have to wait Oracle for an 11g Developer Suite version that is supported by Vista??!
    Thanks!

    Either your tnsnames.ora file that Forms is using is not set up properly to connect to your database, or else you need to install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter.
    I have set up laptops with a Loopback Adapter, so Forms will connect regardless of the Windows computer name. If the computer name is included in the tnsnames entry for your on-board database, then you probably don't need it.
    When you installed the 11g database, the installation set up a tnsnames.ora file with an entry for that database. First, try copying the entry into the corresponding tnsnames.ora file used by Forms.
    In my system, I have four distinct tnsnames.ora files, each one is a duplicate of the others. Whenever I need to change an entry, I do it in one of them, then do a Save As three times to replace the other three. I use these comment lines at the top of the file to help me:
    #--  For reference, save as: C:\oracle\tnsnames___ref.ora
    #--  For Forms6i,   save as: C:\oracle\orant\NET80\admin\tnsnames.ora
    #--  For Forms10,   save as: C:\oracle\DevSuiteHome_1\network\admin\tnsnames.ora
    #--  For SQL Plus10,save as: C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\network\admin\tnsnames.oraWithin the laptop running withOUT the loopback adapter, this is the entry for the on-board Oracle 10 database:
    #--  Laptop           Could use:  (HOST = Steve-PC) / 127.0.0.1
    ORCL =          (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)
                                      (HOST = 127.0.0.1)
                                      (PORT = 1521))
      (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED)
                              (SERVICE_NAME = orcl)  )  )Note the replacement of the HOST entry from the Windows computer name with the generic IP address for the local platform.

  • PC Suite support installation failed error message...

    Every time I start PC Suite and do a sync (of calendar, notes and contacts) with my Nokia N78 phone -  I get the message:-
    The PC Support installed on your phone must be updated to support new features.
    Do you want to update PC Suite support on your mobile phone (Phonename)?
    If I select the 'Yes' tick, I get a message
    Installing......
    Accept all possible installation requests on your device.  (There are no requests on my phone.)
    quickly followed by a message:-
    PC Suite support installation failed.
    The sync itself always works; it is the accompanying request to update the software that fails.  The s/w on my N78 phone is 11.043 dated 21-05-2008 custom version 11.043.240.2 custom date 13-06-08.  If I do a 'check for updates', I get the message "No updates available".  I am running Windows Vista Version 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002.
    I have read the forums and tried the following:-
    Reset the date to two years earlier in case there was a out of date certificate error. - This had no effect.
    Checked the Application installation settings on my phone (Application Manager - Software installation set to 'All', Online certificate check set to 'Off'.)
    Uninstalled PC Suite and used the PC Suite cleaner 7.1.1. software twice to confirm all remnants of PC Suite (rebooting in between) and then re-installing .  This had no effect.
    Tried installing Nokia Suite (as against PC Suite) and had similar results.  ie the sync worked but it tried to install software and then failed.
    Tried installing OVI suite and get similar messages.
    Any ideas how I get rid of this error message?

    thanks I know that, I have done all that before and it didnt worked.
    I tried to connect it onto another pc and it worked there and it's working now on my pc too, I have two c5 earlier one gets recognized as soon as I plug it, but the new one takes time and sometimes is recognized as an mtp device,  I uninstall and reinstall pc suite and connected the new c5 first and it still took about a minute to get recognized and my old c5 it got recognized as soon as I plugged it in. .

  • Load report Failed, COMExpection: System cannot find the path specified

    Interesting problem:
    I have an application that runs on a web server (currently running it as simple test application to make solving this easier). We use a BO XI report to load data from the DB via a stored proc, then run an ExportToStream to get CSV data to return to the caller.
    It all works well as long as I run the application under the NT Account logged into the Box (W2k3, R2). But when using a different account (it's a domain admin account), it fails with the following error:
    System.Exception: Load report Failed. ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80004005): The system cannot find the path specified.
    at CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ClienDoc.ReportClientDocumentClass.Open(Object& DocumentPath, Int32 Options)
    at CyrstalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument.Load(String filename, OpenReportMethod openMethod).
    The report is located on a file drive the openMethod is OpenReportByTempCopy. The Temp directory for the user (landes) exists on the box, all things seem to be in place.
    Anybody know that path is specified and how to overcome this?
    Thanks

    Will it be possible to check this registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACINE\SOFTWARE\Suite 11or11.5\Report Application Server\InprocServer\LocalConnectionMgr and verify if the ConnectionDirectoryPath is set to something like C:\ ?
    If not, set to C:\ and see how it goes after running your app.

  • CR4VS2010 Load Report failed - COMException (0x800001f5): The Report App...

    Hello,
    My company recently decided to start using the 64 bit CR VS2010.  Several machines have installed it and are working correctly, but others get Load Report failed - COMException (0x800001f5): The Report Application Server failed error when trying to render a crystal report to a new application window.  This happens when running the app through VS2010 or IIS.
    Another issue, is that once CR4VS2010 is installed, the ability to check-out .rpt files through TFS no longer works.  CR4VS2010 will open the .rpt, but manual check-out is not allowed for some reason.
    Machines are running Vista 64 bit Ultimate, VS2010, Crystal XI R2 SP4, and TFS.
    So far I have tried re-installing VS2010 and CR4VS2010, but still get the same issues.
    All help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hello,
    Please one question per post, makes it a lot easier to follow. Post your TFS question in a new post.
    Use Process Monitor and compare logs between working and non-working PC's. Typically either missing dependencies or permission issues. Look for Access Denied errors.

  • Reproducible error when loading many reports (Load report failed - Not enough memory for operation)

    Environment:
    Win 7 SP 1
    Visual Studio Pro 2012 Update 4
    Crystal Reports for Visual Studios Service Pack 10 (13.0.10.1385)
    Report created in Crystal Reports XI Release 2 (11.5.8.826)
    Targeting x86 .NET 4.0
    Scenario:
    We have a program that runs and creates a large number of reports before the process is ended. When running after many hours we'd get a Load report failed/Not enough memory of operation exception. I kept removing code and found i could reproduce just using the report.Load call. I simplified the report to a completely blank report to make sure it was nothing specific to a report I was loading. (Opened Crystal Reports XI Release 2, Save As, "Blank.rpt".). I then created, loaded, and disposed of this report in a loop. I was able to cause the same exception after 32,764 iterations on my machine. I also tried using .NET 3.5 same result. I added a counter to our main program and it also went through 32,764 report loads before the same exception was thrown. Main program uses 15 or so different reports with a variable number of subreports in each.
    Sample Code to illustrate the problem:
    I did this as a WinForms project since our main program is using winforms.

    int = Int32. No it's not the "counter" that's causing the problem. The max size of an int32 is far far larger than 32764.
    I am disposing and cleaning up the datasets in the main app. That is why I didn't include them in this test; they aren't relevant.
    I'm unsure why this test program is completely irrelevant. It throws the same exception, at the same count, as the main program. It does it in substantially less lines of code than our main program. I spent days running long tests to figure out exactly what I needed to make the problem appear so I could post a clean and precise post on these forums. I then created the test program to illustrate that.
    The "real" code as I said does stuff in sections and in a certain order.
    For each report I need to export based on rows in a table
    1. Creates a new Report Document
    2. Loads the report document with the report
    3. Creates a dataset of the data to display
    4. Calls SetDataSource
    5. Calls Report.ExportToDisk
    6. Disposes DataSets
    7. Closes/Disposes Reports
    To help isolate the problem I first took out the export to disk part (Step 5). The problem still occurred. I then took out everything related to our data. (Step 3, Step 4, Step 6). The problem still occurred. And yes I commented out this code in our main real program. This left me with:
    1. Creates a new Report Document
    2. Loads the report document with the report
    7. Closes/Disposes Reports
    At this point i had to prove it was not dependent on the report. This makes sure it's not a database connection, or pulling too much data into the report. The most efficient test for this is a blank report.
    So my order of operations becomes...
    1. Creates a new Report Document
    2. Loads the report document with a blank report
    7. Closes/Disposes Reports
    So you'll see this is exactly why I wrote this test the way that I did.
    I've had a run where it error on iteration 32761. My last runs have errored on 32764. I have had many runs over many weeks that all error with the same exception.
    There are no temp files left behind, With a test running you can see the temp files being added but they are immediately removed.

  • Attempted to read or write protected memory followed by Load Report Failed

    After running OK for some time ASP.NET web application (VS 2008 .NET 3.5 with Crystal Reports included) running on MS WIN 2003 R2, SP2) will throw error when trying to create PDF crystal report. Error reads as follow:
    Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. -    at CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ClientDoc.ReportClientDocumentClass.Close()     at CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportClientDocumentWrapper.InternalClose(Boolean bSetupForNextReport, Boolean bAutoClose)     at CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportClientDocumentWrapper.Dispose(Boolean bDisposeManaged)     at System.ComponentModel.Component.Dispose()     at CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument.InternalClose(Boolean bSetupForNextReport)     at CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument.Close()
    After that every consecutive attempt to create another PDF crystal report will fail with fallowing error:
    Load report failed. -    at ... at System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e)     at System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument)     at System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.System.Web.UI.IPostBackEventHandler.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument)     at System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(IPostBackEventHandler sourceControl, String eventArgument)     at System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(NameValueCollection postData)     at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)
    Once Application pool is recycled, error goes away but comes back after while. It seems that recently the uptime is getting shorter.
    Anyone had similar experience, posible solution?
    Thanks in advance,
    Miro

    Hi Miro,
    Clean Temp folder of that machine.
    For testing export report to PDF format from designer do you face any issue?
    Try to export the report with following line of code :
            CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument boReportDocument;
            CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ClientDoc.ISCDReportClientDocument reportClientDoc;
            boReportDocument = new CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument();
            boReportDocument.Load(Server.MapPath("FinalActivityRpt.rpt"));
            reportClientDoc = boReportDocument.ReportClientDocument;
            boReportDocument.SetDatabaseLogon("sa", "sa");
            CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = boReportDocument;
            ExportOptions exportOptions = new ExportOptions();
            exportOptions.ExportFormatType = CrReportExportFormatEnum.crReportExportFormatPDF;
            PDFExportFormatOptions pdfOptions = new PDFExportFormatOptions();
            pdfOptions.StartPageNumber = 1;
            pdfOptions.EndPageNumber = 3;
            exportOptions.FormatOptions = pdfOptions;
            Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "filename=" + "untiteled" + ".pdf");
            Response.ContentType = "application/pdf";
            Response.BinaryWrite((Byte[])reportClientDoc.ReportSource.Export(exportOptions, new         RequestContext()));
            Response.End();

  • Load Report Failed error sporadically shows up

    Hi all,
    I have written an asp.net web site (CR2008 sp2.5, .net3.5, VS2008, vb.net running on winServ2003 hitting an Oracle 10g database) that does nothing but dish out reports for users.  I built in the asp.net member/role security, which works fine, and different sections have a "frmReportViewer.aspx" file that has a crystal report viewer control in it.
    Based on a querystring parameter, the report will load the correct rpt to the control on the page.
    here's the problem.:   sometimes when loading a report, it instantly comes back with "LOAD REPORT FAILED".  Sometimes, you can close the window, click the link again, and it will work fine.   Sometimes, if the report does load, then if i try to drill down into a group, it will tell me "no valid report source is available" in a little ajax-style dialog box in the report.
    My main question is....why does this work sometimes?  this instability will make this project go down the tubes (along with my job perhaps)....I showed my company what CAN be done, now i need to make it RUN LIKE IT SHOULD!
    THANKS IN ADVANCE!

    Make sure you are disposing and closing the report object;
    repdoc.close
    repdoc.dispose
    once you are done with it.
    Also, search the kbase for the error:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/advancedsearch?cat=sdn_ossnotes&query=&adv=true
    Kbases / Notes 1218766, 1217643 would be a sampling of what you'll find there.
    From your description, it is not clear if this occurs under heavier loads. If it is, increasing the allowed print job count may help. For more details see [this|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f053713e-3e3d-2c10-2a81-f79259e54023] article.

  • Load report failed - COMException (0x8000020D)

    I have a windows application project (C# and .NET 2.0) that used Crystal Report 2008.  But I get error sometimes (it seems accidentally) in loading report on end user's machine. That error is:
    CrystalDecisions.Shared.CrystalReportsException: Load report failed.

    at SIA.DataTransfer.Forms.frmReport.GetStateReport(Int32 transferType)
    I'm sure report path is correct
    please guide me. How can I solve this problem?

    There are a few basic reasons you'd get the error:
    1) App is asked to load the report from a faulty location
    2) There is a read permissions issue on the folder the report is in
    3) There is a read write permission issue on the temp folder
    4) The app is not cleaning up the report object
    5) A dll (such as a ufl) can not be loaded
    It is critical that your original description is accurate:
    "I get error sometimes (it seems accidentally) in loading report on end user's machine."
    If that is the case (and I assume you meant you get the error on occassion, or after the app has been running for a while(?)), 1 to 3 above should not be in play.
    Two questions:
    What is the version of the assembly crystaldecisions.crystalreports.engine.dll referenced in your project?
    Did you run procmon and did it show you anything?
    Suggestions:
    Use the [Modules|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006252802008E/modules.zip] utility to compare the dlls loading on your development and on the user computer. Since this works on your dev computer, check for dll differences.
    Ensure you are using .Close and .Dispose once you are done with each report object.
    See if the Event Viewer shows any messages

    Hi, I have had asimilar problem and believe there is a conflict between Pc Suite and Ovi Suite. This should be resolved soon as there will only be one system, Ovi will become Nokia PC suite. However for now , my solution was, although a bit of a pain, to remove all nokia software from computer. Then download Nokia PC Cleaner from Nokia website and run. Now download and install JUST Ovi Suite 2. This resolved my problem, and you can sync and update with Ovi Suite. Make sure when deleteing software you remove everything that says Nokia in add/remove software, including cable drivers. Hope this helps.
    Good Luck

    I have installed crystal reports  for VS2005 runtime in my live environment.When i try to load the report file from a .Net page i am getting the error'Error in Report generation-Load report failed'.
    This works fine in development and testing but when moved to production we are having issues.
    I believe i have a workaround i.e i need to open the rpt in a VS 2005 environment and re-write the connection string again.This fix had worked in development and testing when we had the same issue.
    But not sure if this is a known issue with crystal reports and if so do we have any hot fixes for the same.
    Please help.

    Hi Don,
    The reason why i posted the item on 'data Connectivity issues' is because i suspect the problem is with the connection string.Though i had provided the correct connection string,re-writing the connection string with the same info might help to fix the issue with loading the report.
    Does it mean that there is a problem in the connectivity?
    I have a risk here that i cant re-write the connection string..i.e to open the RPT file in VS2005 and bind it.The production web server & database server sits in a  third party environment and it is not in the company network.So i cant connect to this server to re-write from any other severs in the network.
    Is there any fix which can applied to the server to get this issue resolved?
    Cheers
    Nithya.

  • Master Data loading got failed: error "Update mode R is not supported by th

    Hello Experts,
    I use to load master data for 0Customer_Attr though daily process chain, it was running successfully.
    For last 2 days master data loading for 0Customer_Attr got failed and it gives following error message:
    "Update mode R is not supported by the extraction API"
    Can anyone tell me what is that error for? how to resolve this issue?
    Regards,
    Nirav

    Hi
    Update mode R error will come in the below case
    You are running a delta (for master data) which afils due to some error. to resolve that error, you make the load red and try to repeat the load.
    This time the load will fail with update mode R.
    As repeat delta is not supported.
    So, now, the only thing you can do is to reinit the delta(as told in above posts) and then you can proceed. The earlier problem has nothing to do with update mode R.
    example your fiorst delta failed with replication issue.
    only replicating and repeaing will not solve the update mode R.
    you will have to do both replication of the data source and re-int for the update mode R.
    One more thing I would like to add is.
    If the the delat which failed with error the first time(not update mode R), then
    you have to do init with data transfer
    if it failed without picking any records,
    then do init without data transfer.
    Hope this helps

  • Crystal Reports with VS2005 - Load Report failed Error....

    Hi,
    I am running Crystal Reports viewer on IIS6.0 and windows server 2003, which was installed using the redistributable package that comes along with Visual Studio 2005. We open these reports through a web based application 1 which is run on a different application pool on IIS. We have about 3 to 4 other web applications runing on the same IIS. All the other Web applications are working fine.
    This  web application 1 has 2 parts - one is the normal data display quiries from the back end SQL server 2005 and the other is the Crystal Reports which also quires data from SQL Server 2005. At times i find that these reports all of them throw an error - Load Report Failed. At the same time the Part 1 of this application does work fine in showing the data that is queried from the database. Moreover at this stage, I dont find any errors in the Event viewer. If i restart this application pool alone, the reports starts working fine again.
    I had gone through a few of the news groups and have made all the necessary permission related changes like the TEMP Folder, ASP.NET temporary folder, the folder in which the crystal reports is placed etc but still the same error throws up after some point in time. Wanted to know if there is any special configuration required on the Application pool when it comes to Crystal Reports. We have bout 10 to 15 users using this application for testing and it only throws this error at times and not always.
    Looking forward to any kind of solution from your side.
    Regards
    Rajesh

    Yes I too have been fighting this problem. I was using a XML Data file and schema file for my u201Cdatabase templateu201D in the report. I would then run my query using the .NET SQLClient then fill the report with my dataset table using the SetDataSource method from the ReportDocument object.
    I tried both embedded and runtime loaded reports all worked fine on my development machine but would NOT work on my production server. I use all the server installs, played with user rights, registering DLLu2019s still nothing.  I went as far as creating a winform app to fix the problem. I then had exactly the same problem, I was catching the error and it originated from the viewer control in both winform and webforms.
    What finally worked for me was to attach to the database using OLE DB instead of XML/schema (xml/xsd) datasource then pasting my SQL Query into the database connection command this gave me the fields to build the report. I actually used the u201CSet Database Locationu201D Dialog in Crystal Reports so I didnu2019t have to redesign my report. This dialog works very weird but I managed to figure it out. I then used an embedded report and all seem to be well. I think there is a problem with the Crystal Reports .NET Server Install and Merge Modules used with .NET with XML files, but I cannot be sure, all I know is this worked for me.
    I am concerned that if my database server is moved or renamed my report might break because the server connection is embedded in the report, but for right now it is working. I thought that was the reason for using the xsd file was to eliminate the dependence on a server connection in the report.
    Good luck and I hope this helps you fix your problem too. If it does please let me know I have see so many reports of people asking questions about this problem and it seems like most are left hanging.

  • Unable to load style(SWF is not a loadable module)

    While devoloping an App voor iOS we decided to use several StyleSheets.
    We are implementing the loading of Stylesheets as:
    event_dispatcher:IEventDispatcher = this.styleManager.loadStyleDeclarations2("assests/styles/default.swf");
     event_dispatcher.addEventListener(StyleEvent.COMPLETE, OnStyleLoaded);
    event_dispatcher.addEventListener(StyleEvent.ERROR, OnStyleError);
    running the app on the desktop simulators work fine.
    packaging the app with package method fast, and running the app on an iphone4 works fine.
    packaging the app with package method standaard, and running the app on an iphone4 gives an error:
    Unable to load style(SWF is not a loadable module): assets/styles/default.swf.
    Is there something im missing? Why does it work when packaging as Fast, and not as Standard?

    Hi,
            The source file is .swf ie(.css is converted to .swf).
             Main swf is running from local.
             Style module is from server.
    I set security domain. But it throws security sanbox violation.
    What should i do. Even some time if a use the local url means it thorws the same error Unable to load style(SWF is not a loadable module).
    thanks,
    Jayagopal.
