PC Suite Calendar problems

Hi,
few days ago I've noticed that my PC Suite - Nokia Communication Center doesn't show curent day in light blue color anymore. That's in the week view, but when I switch to month view todays date is blue. Is there a option to turn it on?
Or is it maybe affected with recent firmware update (09.45 --> 09.48) ?
Also when I place a mouse over the day when is someones birthday then it shows name, surname and a number which I haven't figured out what is supposed to present...http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/2179/22517701.png
Nokia PC Suite v7.1.18.0
Nokia 6500c v09.48

Hi mye65,
What does your phone says if you type *#0000# on your phone ???
When i checked this issue Nokia E 65 V 4.0633.74.00 RM-208, i received an alarm on the phone with calendar tone.  I have connected this phone using CA-53, nokia pc suite version 7.1.26.0, XP SP-3.
Does your phone has got latest firmware ?
Even if calender entry is edited on the phone, if switch over from calender to messages on Nokia pc suite's main menu pane(Not in communication centre), some sort of refresh to the edited calender entry on the phone, it reflected as Alarm with sound item correctly.
Again the edited time in calender entry pop-uped on the phone with alarm tone without any issue...

  • Creating calendar problems

Spent a few hours last night making a calendar in iPhoto only to have it crash on the month of December. Any way to find the auto save file?
    Thanks

    wolfwill:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. I believe the calendar info is saved in the iPhoto6.library file. If there is a temp file it may be in the same folder that the pdf files get created for uploading and printing: /private/var/tmp/folders.501/TemporaryItems/iPhoto/. If you past that in the Go->Go to folder menu option in the finder it will take you there if that iPhoto folder has been created.
If you haven't upgraded to 6.0.1 you might do so as that's supposed to have fixed the calendar problems.

  • BB10 Calendar problem SOLVED!!!

    BB10 Calendar problem SOLVED!!!
Step 1: DO NOT do a device switch using BB Link!
Step 2: On your old device, do a device switch using an "SD Card' - this helped me big time since it copied everything!
Step 3: On your BB10 device, insert the old SD card, and complete the device switch using the "SD Card" option.
Step 4: Voila! All your calendar, phone book and personal data is all transferred on to your new BB10.
    All the best!

I had a blackberry 9780 (now a Z10)  When I go to setup on the old BB the "device switch" icon is not there.
Is there anyway I can get that as an option on the phone so I can try what you suggest

  • 3.1 upgrade- calendar problem- error mssg interpretaion

I just did the 3.1 upgrade and the calendar won't sync- the message is "replace the calendar on the iphone from the info tab in the iphone preferences"
Not to be an idiot- but, I can't find "preferences" in the settings or calendar- anywhere. Can someone tell me what I am missing here????
    Thanks-

the 4.3.1 upgrade has had many calendar problems - I'm actually surprised you've only had timing issues. Many people have lost events, seen duplicate events, and no longer receive invitations to calendared events. I have not yet heard from Apple how they plan on fixing this. It's definitely causing big problems for me and many others.

  • PC Suite has problem with 3120

PC Suite has problem with 3120

I also have detected the problem. It is not any physical malfunction according to me. It occures with my phone when I unplug it and plug it again. Sometimes is useful to change the USB port and afterwards to move back to the previous one. Try it and also try it combined with PC restart. It is a weird problem!?

  • PC Suite installation problem persists

I have been using my own laptop and that of my daughter and then our home PC to install the PC Suite 7.0, only to find the the message 'PC Suite encounters problem and needs to close' continuously appearing. I have taken every remedial actions as suggested in the FAQ and Discussions page of Nokia as well as that of Windows but none seems to have worked. Is PC Suite 7.0 really compatible? How do I can get back to earlier version of PC Suite?

    Hi azhar1646,
What is your PC? Operating system, Service Pack 1/2/3, 32/64 bit????
If your pc met the system requirements for Nokia PC Suite 7.0.x.x, First do have a backup of your PC registries and phone data. Uninstall Nokia PC Suite, PC Connectivity solution, nokia connectivity cable driver, nokia flashing cable driver etc., Run PC Suite cleaner from your pc to remove unwanted registries from your PC. Install
latest pc suite from nokia.com/pcsuite. Reboot your pc. Then connect your phone with the pc

  • Outlook Express and Ovi Suite syncing problems

    Hi,
I just installed the Ovi Suite for my new N5230 phone.
I tested syncing contacts for the first time from Outlook Express to the phone and my account at Ovi.com via Ovi Suite. All went fine.
However, I undertook a major edit of all my Outlook Express contacts data (thankfully backing it up afterwards on my PC) but when I went to use the sync fucntion in Ovi Suite again I was not given an option of (a) whether to merge or replace or (b) where to start sync from if not a merge. Consequently my phone and Ovi.com contacts lists filled up with duplicates through a botched merge. Where a contact was deleted in Outlook Express no Sync Conflict message appeared to ask me if I wanted to delete the same entry in Ovi.
When I deleted all the contacts in Ovi Suite and tried to sync again my Outlook Express contacts list was deleted! Thankful for the backup before I started this waste of a Sunday afternoon.
So basically, is it the case that if I want to use Ovi Suite and Ovi.com for contacts then I have to use Ovi.com as the master list and not my contacts list in Outlook Express on my PC? If the software simply merges data all the time how the heck am I meant to delete a contact from all three storage areas?
    Any advice appreciated.
    Bill

Well for anyones information. Syncing with ovi suite.
I have successfully got ovi suite working.
For those with problems this is what I did. I have vista.
    1. I uninstalled all programs from nokia.( ovi suite using the online uninstaller. Pc suite using the installed uninstall program.
then i ran pc suite cleaner.
    2. using search for nokia then using advanced search for all nokia folders remaining (important to use advanced search or you will miss some of the folders and files. Then deleted them. Some you may have to change the user permissions to delete them. It is important to delete these as they hold data and i think might be one of the conflicts stopping sync working.
    3. Delete any remaining files except bookmarks pics etc.
now there should be nothing on the pc.
Then download and run ccleaner. Cleaner and registry.
    Reboot pc
    Then download ovi suite.
A wizard might pop up but if not start ovi suite and connect your phone. I turned bluetooth off and used usb.
The phone will download settings. You can select pc suite on the sync settings in the phone. not ovi.com.
the program is good and worth the trouble. It saves your messages and contacts as well as syncing contacts and calendar with your required program, also bookmarks can be saved with firefox and explorer in your phone folder in favourites. It creates the folder. To transfer bookmarks from pc to phone ensure they are in this folder.
This took me a lot of reboots and time with a few calls to nokia and i am still waiting for their callback!!!
It also works fine on my xp computer too.

  • Shared calendar problems on Sun Outlook Sync

    Hi All,
I'm having a few problems with Sun Outook sync ver 7.2.402.1
In Outlook 2003, clicking the calendar icon at the bottom of the left pane, displays the calendar view. Within that calendar view, clicking Open a Shared Calendar displays a dialog that allows the user to enter the user name of a shared calendar. When the user name of a known shared calendar is entered, the error Unable to display the folder. Your profile is not configured to support this operation for this user. is displayed. This occurs also with contacts and tasks.
I am running Windows XP sp2 (fully patched)
    Outlook 2003 sp2 (fully patched)
    Sun Outook sync ver 7.2.402.1
    Many thanks in advance !

    Hi,
Sounds like you are hitting this issue (from the comm-suite-5 connector release notes - bug# 6292026 mentioned is still not fixed unfortunately - http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-4432/6n6j7s831?l=en&a=view):
    <snip>
Opening a shared calendar link does not hook into subscription (Outlook 2003).
Workaround: To view a shared calendar, select the shared calendar folder in the folders list.

This is supposedly a Outlook 2003 only issue although I haven't confirmed this.

  • PC Suite Synchronisation problem with 62301

    Windows XP Professional SP2
    PC Suite 6.7 & 6.8
    6230i via Bluetooth and/or IrDA
I have been using the above to successfully synchronise my Outlook Contacts & Calendar for some time. All of a sudden the following problem has appeared...
On selecting Synchronise Now in the Nokia PC Sync dialog, the blue & green bubbles continue to rotate and the message 'Connecting to 6230i' continues to flash for some 5 mins. The message then changes to 'Waiting for the mobile phone to send data'. This continues for approx. 3 mins, where upon synchronisation stops and the message Synchronisation Completed appears. However, 0 entries have been updated, despite several updates to contacts.
Previously, having pressed the Synchronise Now button, synchronisation would take typically less than a minute and all updates would be transferred OK.
I have tried everything I can think of. Included, completely de-pairing the phone from the PC, uninstalling PC Suite, installing again from scratch and re-establishing the connection. I have also updated from 6.7 to 6.8 of PC Suite and have tried via Bluetooth and IrDA with the same effect.
All other functions in PC Suite work. For example, I can send a text to myself, then synchronise my messages and view the newly received message; I can view files; etc.
However, if I try and synchronise my Contacts through File Manager, the synchronisation again runs for many minutes and does not update any contacts.
I'm not sure, but it appears to me as if something has corrupted on the phone, which is specifically related to synchronisation.
I'd be grateful for any thoughts/ideas?

    Problem solved!
I had already tried switching the phone off then on without success.
However, I have now tried switching off, removing the battery for 1 min, replacing and switching back on. That worked!
Oh! The joys of owning a Nokia!!

  • E65 and Pc Suite Connection Problem

    Hi Everyone,
I seem to have a problem with my E65. My goal is to synchronize my calendar in Lotus Notes, with my E65, every 30 minutes when I am around the laptop (via bluetooth).
However, although I am able to connect to my phone via bluetooth from PC Suite (I can see the files in my E65 form my laptop, connect via gprs, etc.), the synchronization doesnt work. It used to work a while back, but then, I remember having similar problems.
In PC suite v.6.85.14.1, when I click on, "Click here to connect a phone" and choose bluetooth connection in the popup box, my phone appears in the list, with a handshake and a lock icon next to it (paired). I select my phone in the list, hit next, and it says "You now have the following connections available: Arda E65". Great! But when I go back to the PC Suite, it still says "Click here to connect a phone". Damn!
Also, there is a PC Sync icon in my taskbar. Click on it, and the Nokia PC Sync comes up. The synchronize now option is faded out, and only View last report and Select Phone is available. When I click on Select Phone, nothing comes up..
Can someone please help me with this problem as I really need that feature. That was one of my reasons for buying the Nokia E65...
    Thanks in advance,
    Arda..

  • Nokia 6131 & PC Suite Sync Problem

Hi all. Hope someone can help me. I have a Nokia 6131 updated with the latest phone software and am trying to use it with my Windows XP PC using PC Suite version 6.85.14.1. The problem is that during the sync process between the phone and PC, the phone begins the process but stops before completing the sync process and then disconnects from the PC. About 10 seconds later, without my doing anything, the phone reconnects with the PC, attempts to sync with the PC and the problem repeats itself. After two times, the phone then turns off by itself. I can do all the functions of PC Suite (backup, file explore, picture transfer, etc.) except update my address book because it won't complete the sync process completely. Thanks very much in advance for any solution.

Hi Android. Thanks for your quick reply. My situation is that I'm not synching my phone with Outlook. I need to synch the phone with the PC in order to update my phone contact list. I tried doing it on my laptop with Vista OS and the same thing happens. After I click on the Contacts button, the phone begins the synch process, then stops (at 77 of 90) because the phone disconnects itself, then the phone connects again and repeats the problem. I got an error code 0x80044403: "PC Suite does not recognize the connected phone". Very strange since I can synch the calendar on my Vista laptop with the phone with no problem. It's only the Contacts that I can't update because the phone disconnects before synch completion. All other PC Suite functions work fine.
