PC Suite ceases to connect and requires repair

PC Suite version 6.84.10.4 often stops connecting with my Nokia E61i. My PC is powerful, with XP, 140G hd, 3 GbRAM.
To make the telephone connect with the PC, I follow the "control panel" procedure for eliminating programs, then use the function provided in Control Panel Installation-disinstallation programs for repairing the program. What's going on?

Update (if you can call it that) - with the latest PC Suite, and the latest firmware, just installed, it is still necessary, using Control Panel, to reinistate the PC Suite (not the connectivity program) before the system will connect with my phone. I'm used to the system, now, but it seems a bit too bad. Could it be the fact of using a PC which is already 3 years old? Prehistoric!

  • Problems with USB connection and PC Suite

Connecting your device to the PC via USB doesn´t always work as smooth as it should. You can either use the setup´s repair function or if you are experiencing more serious problems, you need to uninstall all Nokia software form your phone and get it back on to make to work again.
This is how you do it:
Run the Nokia PC Suite setup file again and choose "repair" instead of "uninstall". This should solve some of the connectivity problems. If it didn´t work for you continue with the instructions below.
Go to Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Software, there you need to uninstall all Nokia software (Nokia PC Suite, Nokia Cable driver, PC Connectivity Solution ...)
Download and run Nokia PC Suite Cleaner
    Reboot your computer
Download and install PC Suite here.
Connect your phone via USB cable (if possible use a different USB jack) and follow the instructions on the screen.
Now you´re set up to manage your phone with PC Suite!

Have you tried a hard restart. Press the on/off button and homescreen buttons together until the device shuts down.

I recently had some repairs done to my ATT U-verse connection, and now my Safari doesn't open in a full screen.  How do I reset that to open in full screen?

Mountain Lion is set up to close windows when you quit a program instead of saving them. To change this, put Safari in full-screen mode, move the cursor to the top, open Safari menu while holding Option key and close Safari from the menu.
If you want to do it automatically with all programmes, open System Preferences > General, and deactivate "Close windows when quitting an application"

Hey, There are afew things you can try.
    - Simply turn your phone off and back on again
    - Hold down your home button and your lock button and let goes as soon as the screen goes black (Phone will power down) - Then turn on your phone and hey presto!
    - Back up your iPhone to your PC, then restore it..
this ones last cause I think you may have tried it already..
    - Close all open applications
    Hope this helps!

  • Since upgrade to IOS 10.9 and associated iTunes 11.1.3, I can no longer WiFi sync iPad (IOS 7.0.3) nor iPhone (IOS 6.1.3).  USB connection is required.  Formerly I could sync both devices without locating them physically (not necessarily charging).

Since upgrade to OS 10.9 and associated iTunes 11.1.3, I can no longer WiFi sync iPad (IOS 7.0.3) nor iPhone (IOS 6.1.3).  USB connection is required.  Formerly I could sync both devices without locating them physically (not necessarily charging).  I have restarted both devices, turned off and on "Sync with this iPad/iPhone over WIFI" and restarted WiFi.  WiFi is operating (iPad has no SIM).  What next?

I'm also affected by this bug in exactly the same way as you.
Some users have had success by closing iTunes, enetering (on OS 10.9) settings --> network --> edit locations, then create a new location with the same wifi/network settings. Then restarting iTunes.
Others have had some success by editing settings --> iCloud --> de-selecting keychain
neither of these fixes have worked for me.
It appears that the iPad can "see" iTunes running on my iMac because when I open settings --> general --> 'iTunes wifi sync', "sync now" is greyed out if iTunes is not running. When iTunes is started, "sync now" is enabled but just doesn't work. Nor does the iPad appear in iTunes.

  • My new ipad is showing the message 'Use wi fi to restore - A wi fi connection is required to download your apps and media' then gives 2 buttons

I had my ipad replaced last week. The apps etc were transferred to the new ipad and it worked fine for a couple of days. This morning the screen locked up and displayed the message - Use WiFi to Restore- A wi fi connection is required to download your apps and media. Then gives a choice of two buttons - Later or Use Wifi. Absolutely nothing happens when you press these buttons, the whole screen has locked up and it can't even be turned off. If you hold the off button down then eventually the slide to power off button appears but nothing happens when you swipe it. Help!

Hold down the home button and power button at the same time, ignore the power off slider until the Apple logo appears.

More than likely, the new version of itunes will be released later today in conjunction with iOS 7. But, yes, you can update the phone via WiFi. Make sure to set up icloud and do a back up first.

  • I have bought a Belkin composite cable from the apple store but the picture is black and white? The tv connection does require the red yellow white cables and that is the one I bought

I have bought a Belkin composite cable from the apple store but the picture is black and white? The tv connection does require the red yellow white cables and that is the one I bought? Can any one help

You have the iPhone in your profile, but people's profiles here are often incomplete or very outdated.  It's better to be specific.  And part of the problem is that I can't find any Belkin composite cables for connecting an iPhone to a TV, either on the Apple Store or the Belkin site.  The closest I found is this Belkin video cable, which doesn't specify exactly what kind of connection it is.
For the most relevant assistance, you've got to post in the iPhone forum and specify the cable by providing a link to exactly which cable you're using.

  • HT1222 On my iPad mini, I did automatic update for iOS 6.1.3. It downloaded it but did not install. Install update is not highlighted  and there is a message that  a connection is required when its already connected to Internet. What can I do to install

I click the auto update on general settings of my iPad mini for ios6.1.3. It was downloaded but not installed. Install was not highlighted with message Internet connection is required. The mini is connected to Internet. How can I install it

    Hey Beata G,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. If you are unable to install the software update, you may need to plug the iPad Mini into a power source. If it is below a certain percentage in power it will require power to ensure that iPad Mini does not loose power when installing. If you still have issues the following article will walk you through that process and also if you want to update the iPad Mini through iTunes.

  • Connection Wizard requires to enter user ID and password on every login

    Hello,
We just started using SAP BPC 5.1  When connecting to a server Connection Wizard requires every user to input user ID and password. "Use My Microsoft Windows user ID and password" is grayed out.
Have anybody experienced this problem before? Any idea how to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Roman

If you woudl like to avoid to insert every time user and password you have to do follow actions:
    1. Into BPC application server you have to open server manager
Options - Client Options and on that window you have to uncheck the button Enable Server to Sarbane-Oxley compliant
    2. If the installation server was done with FQDN (fully qualified domain name ) or with IP instead to use short name for server then you have to add into internet explorer of client the site:
    http://nameofbpcserver into trusted sites.
    Open internet explorer
    - tools - internet Options
    Tab Security
    Select Trusted Sites
    Select button "Sites"
Uncheck button: "Require server verification (https)..."
type into entry field http://nameofyourbpcserver" and add
In this way you will have the option to use windows authentication enabled.

  • My iPod can't connect to Facetime. Message says to check network connection and try again.  I have no trouble accessing other apps requiring an internet connection.

Can't connect to Facetime or messages on iPod touch.  When I try to sign in, message says to check network connection and try again.  I have tried multiple times with both apps with the same result.  There is nothing wrong with my internet connection as I am able to check my e-mail and all of the other apps that require wifi so I can't figure out what the problem is.  Has anyone else had a similar problem?
