PC Suite Contact Data Location?

My 6220 died while using PC Suite [PCS] for the first time on a new XP machine taking all my contacts with it. (I had not had a chance to do a content copy yet).
Where does PCS store / does it store the contacts of phones that have previously been used with it?
The reason I ask is I'm fairly certain I still have the hard drive from my previous desktop computer (also Windows XP) that was used with my phone.
I was hoping to take the data from the old drive, relocate it to my current PCS install and see if I can put the old data back on my new phone.
And input warmly welcomed!
Cheers, Antony.

  • Location of the contacts data file.

It looks like I just deleted all of my contacts. Anybody know where the contact data is stored in Mountain Lion and can I use Time Machine to do a restore?

Contacts are in User Home Folder/Library/Application Support/AddressBook.  Most of my contact info seems to be in the /AddressBook/Sources Folder.
You may want to try restoring the entire /AddressBook Folder

  • Sync with specific outlook contact data

I've notice awhen i try to sync Ovi contact with outlook contact it takes the default contacts data but my phone contact data has been created on a seperate contact data from my miling contact data.
This can be selected with PC suite but How do we choose specific contact data to sync with in Ovi?

    Hi,
Please briefly explain your query so it will be easy for us to help you.
What type of email account do you use currently in Outlook (POP, IMAP, MAPI or Exchange)?
By "sync my outlook data with office365 outlook", do you mean migrate your existing email data into your new Office 365 email?
If this is the case, you can actually use the Import/Export feature in a desktop version of Outlook. It's just a two-step process:
If you're using Outlook 2010, click File>Options>Advanced>Export, there you can export your data.
After you export your data, then you can import it into your Office 365 email.

    Hope it helps.

  • How to set up shared use of "Contacts" data w/ 2 individual user accounts?

How to set up shared use of application "Contacts" data for two individual user accounts?

Link the contacts in one user account to a online cloud based system like Google or apples iCloud and then link the second user to that same online account. This could cause some slight problems if both people maintain their own online account to either of those systems on a phone or pad.

  • Two Apple IDs, Two Icloud accts, two contact data bases??

Hi all, I hope you might help me sort this mess out. Thanks in advance.
I have two Apple IDs - one of those ids is tied to iTunes and is my primary account, as it is linked to the Itunes store, my Iphone and Ipad. It has 5gb of which 4 is used for backups, etc. Aside from all my Iphone stuff, the data of importance is my contacts db that includes all my iphone contacts.
The other Apple ID was issued by Apple when I started to use MobileMe. It has a me.com address.  When Apple moved to iCloud I got this account switched and also got 25gb of space that is good until Sept 2013. I have used about 2gb of space on that.  The only data of importance on it is the contacts, and this has a mix of some Iphone contacts as well as contacts I added as I was using one of the macs.
It seems that I did not grasp the limitations of Icloud and did not notice that my macs - MBP and MBA were and are storing my contact data using different accounts. Both contacts db's are full of duplicates as well as there are approx 200+ contacts that are in one or the other contact db, but not both.
So, I think I might merge the two into one contact db, then stop using the me.com acct.
To get to this state I would presume that I should export the contacts from both accounts, then open up one of them in the contact app of my choice, then import the second export, and then do the clean up.  Then I would upload the clean file back to my primary icloud acct.
By uploading a clean contact db that is corrected and duplicate free, how do I tell icloud to replace the db that is there with the one that I am uploading?
I have found nothing in tech articles, or discussions that suggest that the approach will work -- I am unsure that by uploading a clean contact db, I will not simply duplicate the names and addresses that are already there, along with adding the 200+ contacts that are not there.
Perhaps I delete the contact db from icloud - but again I see no information on that.

Then you should be able to just do the following:
On the Mac that is syncing contacts with the me.com iCloud account you are abandoning, open your contacts and export them as a vCard (File>Export>Export vCard).  Attach this to an email and send it to yourself.
Open the email on your other Mac and double-click on the attachment to import the contacts.  The contacts should be merged with the contacts already on this Mac, as well as to the iCloud account the Mac is syncing contacts with.
You can then clean up your duplicates by, for example, opening Address Book (Contacts) on your Mac, going to Card>Look for Duplicates, then merging any duplicates it finds.
You can then go to System Preferences>iCloud on the Mac that is syncing your me.com account, sign out of that account (which will delete any synced data), then sign into the iCloud account you are keeping and check the data you want to sync (which will sync the iCloud data to this Mac).

  • How do I get my calendar and contacts data to sync to computer?

After instal of Maverick, iPhone data syncs to iCloud, but not to computer.  How do I get my calendar and contacts data to sync to computer?

Sounds like your Mac is not logged into the same iCloud account that your phone is.  When Mavericks is installed it prompts you for an AppleID during setup.
Unfortunately and confusingly it then uses that AppleID to help you set up the Apple Store, iCloud, and Messages even though many users do not use the same AppleID for all of those services.  This is particularly true of familys that share one AppleID for the "Store" but use separate AppleID's for each users iCloud data.
Therefore, put your iPhone next to your Mac and go to "Settings" > "iCloud".  Make sure that the iCloud account listed on your iPhone is the same as the one listed when you go to "System Preferences" > "iCloud" on your Mac.  If they match (or not) then click "sign out" on your Mac to disconnect the account.  Then, on the Mac (still in the iCloud preference pane), log (back) into the same iCloud account being used on your iPhone and enable the same set of services that are enabled on your iPhone (particularly calendar and contacts).
Then, open the Contacts application on the mac and iCal on the Mac and walk away for a few minutes to allow the data to sync.  You may then want to create a test calendar event and change a contact to see if they sync up.
One additional thought is to make sure that your iPhone is set to "Push" for iCloud. That will assure that it's syncing immediately while you are testing this.
    Hope this helps.

  • Multiplication of contacts, duplication of some contact data

Following syncing via both MobileMe and iTunes (separately) between my previous iPhone and my MacbookPro, I note that:
    1. Some contacts are multiplicated - these are seemingly random with the number of times the multiplication occurs also seemingly random;
    2. Some contacts that are not multiplied as a whole have some of the contact data multiplied - eg, a mobile or work number would be repeated 10-30 times.
I have since added new contacts to my iPhone, and would not wish to lose these. I presume that there is no easy way to set aside only those contacts that have been added to the iPhone since the last sync it has been through and imagine that some form of merge/sync process needs to happen in any event.
    My objectives are:
    - to retain all the contacts including new ones
    - to be able to sync between my iPhone and my laptop freely without fear of multiplications
    - to eliminate the duplicate contacts and duplicate data within contacts.
I should finally say that I have a subscription for MobileMe and use that currently to sync my calendars between iPhone, iPad and MBP very well.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Katharina,
Unfortunately not - I am hoping to find the time soon to contact Apple support by phone in the hope they'll assist. Let's keep each other posted through this thread if we find a solution.

Hook the phone to the computer, open the Computer icon and look for the iPhone folder. Copy the images. Not difficult at all. Sync your contacts with Outlook through iTunes. Not really so difficult.

  • How to concat the data located in ctrl:eventResult and fixed data ?

I want to concat the data located in ctrl:eventResult and the content of <fixed> ,like the following(it is incorrect):

I don't see anything wrong with your code - I was able to set up a small test case using it and didn't see any problems with concatenation. Are you certain that you are setting up the EventResult property correctly? Does the following code work?
<styledText data:text="listName@ctrl:eventResult"/>Can you post your code which creates the EventResult object?

  • HT201269 Transferring Palm & Outlook contact data to iPhone 4s

I transferred my contact information from my old Palm software to my iPhone 4.  I also have a lot of contact information in Outlook.  Is there any way to transfer this data to my iPhone without duplicating what's already on there from the Palm?  I know how to transfer contact data from Outlook to iPhone through iTunes, but haven't done so yet, because many of these are the same, and I fear duplication.
    Can anyone help?

The below mentioned steps can be followed in BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6.0
Step -1: Turn off wireless synchronization
To synchronize your organizer data, you must turn off wireless synchronization for each type of organizer data that you want to synchronize using the BlackBerry Desktop Software.
On your BlackBerry device, in the Calendar application, Contacts application, Tasks application, or MemoPad, press the Menu key > Options.
If necessary, click a calendar or contact list.
Change the Wireless Synchronization field to No or clear the Wireless Synchronization check box.
Press the Menu key > Save.
Step -2: Set up organizer data synchronization
Connect your BlackBerry device to your computer.
In the BlackBerry Desktop Software, click Organizer > Configure settings.
In the Intellisync setup window, select the check box beside an organizer application.
    Click Setup.
In the Available desktop applications list, click the organizer application on your computer.
    Click Next.
Select the synchronization directions you want for the data in your organizer application.
    Click Next > Finish.
To set up synchronization for another organizer application, repeat steps 3 to 8.
Step -3: Synchronize your organizer data
Before you begin: To perform this task, you must first set up organizer data synchronization. Also, on your BlackBerry device, wireless synchronization must be turned off for each type of organizer data that you want to synchronize.
Connect your device to your computer.
In the BlackBerry Desktop Software, click Organizer.
Review the organizer applications and settings that are selected for synchronization and, if necessary, make changes.

  • NOKIA N79 CANT BACKUP CONTACT DATA TO MEMORY CARD

    hello,
I am not able to backup the contact data of my nokia n79 to memory card. When performing the above function the progress bar progresses for sometime goes 50 % completed and then returns to the home screen. Tried formatting the phone/MC as well as re-flashed the firmware but no use. Is there anyone having similar issue ?. FYI the phone is under warranty and there is no proper response
from the nokia centre so i have decided to repair it myself. Is there any workaround for this issue ??
    Thanx in advance

My question still stands though, if you look in the directory, has it actually backed up all your contacts or not? meaning are all the *.vcf files there.
if not, which file does is the last that was created,  find the equivalent in the contacts database, and check if there is something wrong/different with the next contact compared to others?
Yes, there may be an error, but at least until it is fixed you may be able to work around it.
(I presume there is plenty of space on your memory card? note that the phone has a self imposed limit to prevent memory card from being completely full, so if card is very close to full it is possible that backup utility stops)

  • Additional contact data not syncing: photos, birthday, spouse/children..

I'm using a 2nd gen Nano with iTunes 7.3.2 (Mac OS).
The iPod software version is 1.1.3, Windows formatted.
I'm syncing Address Book contacts (box is checked in the Contacts tab of iTunes) but additional & exisiting contact data in Address Book is missing on the iPod:
    e.g. photo, birthdays/anniversaries, spouse/children info, etc.
However the Notes field is synced okay.
The following post is relevant but also unsolved http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=4587988&#4587988
And this one is kind of relevant too http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5012889&#5012889
    So:
    - Maybe the contacts photos are only for 5th Gen iPodders - see http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302493 ? And if this is the case, is there a hack/fix for the Nano?
    - And in any case what about syncing the rest of the data?
Hope someone can resolve this (or simply come up with a definitive answer). Thanks.

I know that a windows formatted ipod would work on the mac. But why do you have it formated for a windows when you own a powerbook???
Yes, the contact photo is only for the 5th gen ipod and not the nano. No there is no hack to allow this to occur. And also realize any hack used on the ipod WILL void your warranty.
Regardless of your links (first link is for a 1st gen nano) do you own a 1st or 2nd gen nano???? You cannot sync the name of a spouse/child or any other name within a contact to the nano. I have tried this myself and cannot find any preferences or way of allowing this to occur. Just like I cannot sync my contact which has names and a second address to my nano.
Remember there is no hack for this to occur. If you wish for this feature to be present on the nano then please feedback at the link below.
