HELP - PC Suite does not support the connected pho...
After trying numerous times now I cannot get my question to you via your website. In utter frustration I am posting my problem here.
My problem is as follows
When I connect my phone via cable to my laptop I get the following error message. 'PC Suite does not support the connected phone. Install a correct version of PC Suite and try again'. I have already uninstalled the version that previously worked fine and downloaded the version recommended by your website which is 6.80.22. This is actually the version I already had which previously did work. I amd still getting the same error message despite uninstalling and reinstalling numerous times. And when I plug my phone into my partners computer it works fine. He has the same operating system and version of PC Suite. I am using Windows XP Home Service Pack. I have a Nokia 6131Thanks for the descriptive posting, unfortunately there are still many things that can be wrong.
You should try the things that are suggested here in many places: go to control panel - add/remove programs and select first Nokia PC Connectivity Solution and run a repair to it by selecting change - repair. Then same thing for Nokia PC Suite, run a repair to it.
Then boot PC.
Then check the PC Suite manage connections icon to make sure that the DKU-2, CA-53 USB connection is activated. -
Ovi Suite/PC Suite does not recognize the connecte...
Error message: "Ovi Suite/PC Suite does not recognize the connected phone.Ovi Suite/Pc Suite cannot read the required information from the phone.Check that the connected phone is supported by Ovi Suite/PC Suite".
You can try this which can solve your problem.
1. Disconnect your phone from PC if connected.
2 .Open Control Panel and go to ‘Programs and Features’
3. From the list of available programs, choose ‘Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver’
4. Click on the ‘Change’ button on top toolbar.
5. In the setup dialog box that pops up next, choose ‘Repair’ and select ok. Wait for setup to complete.
6. Restart the computer if prompted.
7. Now connect your phone to the PC. Driver installation should complete and PC/Ovi suite (hopefully) should detect your mobile properly now.
Please THANK me by clicking on the ****WHITE STAR** ( Giving KUDOS) the big GREEN BOX to your LEFT .
It will help me to serve you better !!!!!
Thanking You@ Omarbooyaka,
Welcome to the forum! You should use Nokia Suite to update your device to Belle. If still the same, please go to control panel > printer and devices > right click the phone icon > remove the device. Then try to connet again. Also try all the steps provided by magovoru. Could you also report the issue here if connection still does not work.
Hope this helps!

LeandraHi, did running PC suite cleaner 3.3 work for you? I am having exactly the same problem and tried this. PC suite cleaner didn't seem to run properly. I chose the "other" problem type and it said that it could not create a list of directories, please reboot and try again. I did this but no good. I then reloaded PC suite and got the same results.
My phone is 6230i
PC suite version is 8.80.21

Am using Outlook calendar for Mac--needed for client connection. Invites will not go out. Error message: "server does not support secure connections." Resolution?
I have done a similar set of things and no results.
This is really odd, Mac Mail works other emasil clients work, just not Outlook.
The only event I can tie it back to is the outage a couple of weeks ago when AppleID's weren't working for a perdion of time. I ended up having to reset mine.
Is it feasible a local certificate got corrupted at the same or, oddly, that the SMTP servers don't have the updated password?
What's odd is that I no matter how much i Google, i can't find anyone else who has this problem, other than here? -

Hi, I'm trying to configure ssfs on ERP EHP7 on HANA Database system. Doing it with this guide - SSFS Implementation for Oracle Database

Apple TV 3 does not support the Microsoft Wedge Mobile Bluetooth Keyboard
Apple TV (3. Generation) still (17.02.2013) does not support the Microsoft Wedge Mobiloe Keyboard. I bought it especially for use with Apple TV but it doesn't work. Apple TV finds the keyboard with the exact name but can not connect. No 4 digit code appears that you can type in to your keyboard to compelete the connecting process and after a few seconds "connections fails" appears.
Now i dont't know if i should send it back to amazon to get back my money or keep it and wait until it maybe will work some day... I red from articles from beginning of january 2013 that a new Version of Apple TV is in the Pipeline (3.2) and that it has an other bluetooth chip. The same as in the iphone 5 that works with the MS wedge keyboard. So i really don't know if i should wait for the next few updates of my Apple TV or wait for a new Apple TV hardware- Update... Telephone calls with apple and microsoft doesn't brought useful results. Restore function of Apple TV doesn't work.
I hate that Apple always brew their own soup... Bluetooth is know for an easy connection to ALL devices but Apple TV supports only a hand full of keyboards. **** S**t!!!!!!!!!!!! -.-Hi
This is the solution from Microsoft website. Work fine (don´t forget press and hold Fn key!!):
Connecting the Wedge Mobile Keyboard to a tablet PC
By default, the Bluetooth Wedge Mobile Keyboard pairs with most tablet PCs through secure simple pairing (SSP) with a passkey. Some tablets, however, may not support SSP well with a passkey.
In order to successfully pair your Wedge Mobile Keyboard to such a tablet, use the following alternative pairing mode.
Pair your keyboard through SSP without a passkey
Press and hold the Fn key at the same time as you press and hold the Connect button located under the keyboard. After 3 to 5 seconds, a small light on the top of the keyboard will blink green and red alternately. This means that your keyboard is discoverable to your tablet within 6 minutes.
On your tablet PC, from the Start menu, select Control Panel, and in Category view, locate Hardware and Sound.
Select Add a device.
When the keyboard is listed, select it, and follow the instructions to successfully pair your Wedge Keyboard with your tablet.
Note
If you want to pair your keyboard with a tablet or other computer that supports SSP with a passkey, press and hold the Connect button only. -
As of Monday 4/20, I've encountered a significant problem with Silverlight on my Vista PC.
Several weeks ago I read a brief item stating that Google would be dropping support for npapi and that it would affect Silverlight sometime in April. One of my key daily apps uses Silverlight, but I didn't receive notification from that software's author
about the pending change and how it would be handled. Successfully used the app every week (Mon-Fri) this month for 8-10 hrs/dy day (as I've been doing for the past ~5+ years: past year under Chrome, year before that under FireFox, ~3 prior years
under IE) and on Fri 4/17 shut it down for the weekend. When I booted up on Mon morning and tried to log into the key app however, it prompted me to download and install Silverlight, acting as though I never had it installed!
I recalled the earlier warning about Google dropping support, so I closed Chrome, started up FireFox, but got the same prompt from the app -- it directed me to install Silverlight. I downloaded it (had no choice as to which version, just got the "Silverlight_x64.exe"
file) and got part-way through the install when this error msg popped up: "Unable to Install Silverlight. Your operating system does not support the 64-bit version of Silverlight". WHAT?! Clicking on the "more info"
link led to this msg: "Message ID: 1518. Your operating system does not support the 64-bit version of Silverlight. Click here for the latest version of Silverlight." That link simply led back to the download page which resulted
in receiving another copy of the same executable file.
According to my system ( > Control Panel > System ), I'm running "Windows Vista Home Premium", with a "System Type: 64-bit Operating System". I've been using this same Vista PC since Sep 2008 and running Silverlight for
around the past 5 yrs.
? -- Why doe the Silverlight installer code flag my OS as not supported?
? -- Is there a way to get an older version of Silverlight that will run under Vista?
Thanks in advance for any helpful comments.Andy -- Thanks for the link, but I'm not adventurous enough to download from a non-MSFT site.
Besides, since I didn't make any changes to my hardware/software config, I expect a MSFT rep to explain why their two programs suddenly stopped working together and then provide whatever code fix is needed. A phone call to their tech support (predictably)
led to nowhere but a recommendation to purchase one of the company's support offerings (which I declined to pursue). The Silverlight development team appears to participate in these forums, so I'd hope one or more of them offers a realistic solution.
Here's something I forgot to mention in my original post: In several of the threads on this subject (some dating back to 2008!), people have
suggested running IE as the browser vs FireFox or Chrome; however, that idea fails to note that the error msg (Message ID:1518) clearly states that "your operating
system does not support the 64-bit version of Silverlight"; it doesn't say anything about
what browser you're using. -
I want to mirror an iOS device to my computer for demonstration and training purposes. I cannot use Airserver as my company VPN does not allow the connection. Is there a hardware solution instead?
Shoeb, hi.
Thanks for replying and apologies for my tardiness in responding. I have just completed a re-creation of my web page using CSS/HTML rather than XML/XSLT and now I find that when saving in MHT format the watermark/background image is saved, which is nice, but trying to save it as 'webpage complete' under 'save as' in the browser still does not work. Have you asked your mobile phone operator to turn on roaming for you? and if you have you will need to turn on DATA ROAMING on the iPhone by going to SETTINGS > GENERAL > MOBILE DATA and turn on DATA ROAMING. You should then be able to see the various Indian Networks listed in SETTINGS > CARRIER and be able to make/receive calls.
If you are in India and didn't ask for Roaming to be activated on your mobile account you're stuck until you return to the UK.
OR
If you have a 'locked' phone that is tied to the UK operator then you will need to find a phone shop that unlocks iPhones but beware this invalidates any Apple Warranty. If you are still in the UK then phone the mobile operator and ask then to unlock your iPhone which they usually do if its not in a contract with them or at the end of the contract period.
Hope that helps a little, Andrew -

This should be considered a temporary fix. It will saturate your Internet connection during periods of WSUS downloads in this configuration.
The correct and permanent fix should be to resolve the failure of your perimeter device to properly support the HTTP v1.1 protocol specification (which is now some 14 years old).
Either your device is misconfigured, or it needs a firmware update to support the full specification.

The network backup disk does not support the required AFP features.
I am trying to set up timeMachine on my new mac book pro over a regular home network on a shared network drive. I have tried everything but I keep getting "The network backup disk does not support the required AFP features." I am on lion with the lateset unpdate (10.7.4). I have even tried creating sparebundles on from tutorial that I have found online, but non of the hacks that I have tried seemed to work. Have anyone figured out a way around this? If so, can you share, it will be greatful. I could just buy the time capsule that apple sells but I already have a 2TB internal HDD in an old pc that's hosting my file server so no need for the time capsule hardware. Let me know if there is a way around this thank.

1) Apple time capsule
Or USB drive connected to a Time Capsule
2) NAS with the latest firmware
Not just any NAS. It has to support the communications protocols used by Time Machine (some involving security, some about error detection and handling). Some NASs never supported TM; some that worked on Leopard never got updated for Snow Leopard; and some that worked on Snow Leopard still haven't been updated for Lion.
4) Another networked mac (not a pc)
A Mac running Leopard 10.5.6 or later.
Are these the only options?
Those are the only options supported by Apple. Some other destinations may work, to some degree, in some circumstances. Some require "hacks" or other workarounds. Most are somewhat unreliable, and, may stop working at all on the next OSX upgrade.
Side note. I've been seeing some online post of how some people are setting up TM on a networked PC drive by setting up a sparsebundle like this site:
Any thoughts? I have tried some of these examples and it don't seem to work...
Some of those may have worked at one time, in some circumstances (2 are dated before Lion was released, the other is undated).
Wireless backups are tricky enough to a supported destination, with all the security and error detection and handling Apple has been able to employ. If your backups are important to you, don't trust them to a marginal scheme.
And, in any event, don't trust your backups to a single piece of hardware or software. See Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #27 for an explanation and some suggestions. -
So I'm getting the dreaded "does not support directory connections encrypted with ssl" error when attempting to bind clients (10.5) to the server (10.5).
I followed the Apple KB article, but it did not help...double-checked permissions and the config files.
Binding works fine w/o SSL...but evidently SSL does not.
Any news on this?
Thanks.
jHmmm...still running into the same issue...do I need to give the cert reference text file certain permissions in order to work?
I have followed the advice on afp548, and have a self-rolled CA with a self-assigned cert for the server, which is also the dns name of the server. I copied the CA hash and pointed to that instead of the self-signed cert hash, but still...no dice.
