PC Suite lost Bluetooth 6.86.9.3

Pc Suite: 6.86.9.3
OS: Windows XP Pro Sp2
Phone: Nokia 6120i
Issue: The older version of PC Suite allowed me to use my IVT Bluesoleil USB Bluetooth dongle, yet the newer version doesn't see the bluetooth connection and therefore doesn't list it.
Using the IVT Bluesoleil software I can connect to the phone no problem.
Prior to upgrading I could connect to the phone but couldn't sync. I updated the software in order to transfer my contacts over and now I'm stuck with no Bluetooth at all.
Anyone have seen this? Why does the pc suite not recognize it?
I'm tempted to re-install the ivt bluesoleil software, but I'd rather leave it alone if the PC suite can do the job like it used to.
Thanks.

Hello,
I have the same problem using the same dongle.
I'm using:
PC Connectivity Solution:
Version 8.15.0.0
Detected Bluetooth stacks:
- Microsoft (Version: 5.1.2600, Build: 5512)
I did try to repeir the Conn. Solution, but it didn't help.
Thanks,
Uri.

  • PC Suite & Nokia Ovi Suite via Bluetooth on Nokia ...

I had a tough time in getting the Nokia N8 in sync with the latest Nokia PC Suite which will recognise the N8 (version 7.1.40.9) together with the Nokia Ovi Suite through bluetooth. It was a nightmare! I don't use to have any troubles in connecting any Nokia phones via bluetooth but I do have a problem with the N8.
After searching through various forums and blogs, I have come to a conclusion. There is a workaround the problem when it pertains to the Nokia PC Suite. I rarely use the Nokia Ovi Suite because the Ovi Suite would not allow me to sync calender items for more than 6 weeks. With the Nokia PC Suite, it will allow a user to sync any items for 99 years! Can you believe it? However, not all are lost. The Ovi Suite is better in terms of installing updated maps on the N8 though. You would not be able to do so on the Nokia PC Suite.
When it comes to synchronising your N8 with your PC Suite/ Ovi Suite via bluetooth, you need to take care. The steps will be as follows:
    (1) Install the latest Nokia Ovi Suite and or PC Suite Suite version 7.1.40.9.
    (2) Don't run Ovi/Nokia PC Suite. If they are running on the taskbar, right click to exit all of them.
    (3) Enable bluetooth on your N8 and then right click on the bluetooth devices icon at the bottom right of your laptop.
    (4) Once you have right clicked on the bluetooth devices icon, select 'add devices'.
    (5) Follow the prompts on your N8 and also on your laptop/pc.
    (6) Please make sure that your N8's bluetooth is on 'discoverable'. Otherwise your laptop/pc will not be able to pick up the signal.
    (7) Follow the instructions given and then reboot your laptop/pc.
After that, you would need to fire up your PC Suite or Ovi Suite but not both at the same time. Use PC Suite to sync your contacts/messages/calenders while use the Ovi Suite to install and update your map on your Nokia devices.
    Good luck!

    Thanking You

Pls help. I'm able to connect my N8 to my laptop's win7 home premium but not to OVI suite or PC Suite.
They get connected with N8 over cable but not over bluetooth. PC Suite says "Can not authenticate the phone" and ovi suite keeps checking the "Phone's bluetooth capabilities".
    Kindly help.

  • E63 updating contents using PC-Suite via Bluetooth...

When updating my E63 contacts, calendar etc. using PC-Suite via Bluetooth, every update asks the phone "Accept connection request from PC?"  This doesn't occur when using a cable connection but is a real nuisance when using Bluetooth.
Any way of automatically accepting the connection request?
    Thanks,

  • I cannot open mail attachments on my iPhone 4S.  I have reset it 3 times and lost Bluetooth once, but at least it's back on.

I cannot open mail attachments on my iPhone 4S.  I have reset 3 times and actually lost Bluetooth once, but at least that's back on now.

Try to set it up as new device, explained here:
How to back up your data and set up as a new device
First without using the backup, in case it contains corrupt data.
If it works after that, use the backup to restore from.

  • IMac 5,2 Core2Duo lost Bluetooth - Fixed

This may apply to all Macs, but I have only one iMac that has lost Bluetooth so it was only tried out with that.
Our older white iMac 5,2 lost Bluetooth one day - no warning, no reason, it was just gone.  I read the forums and tried everything, resetting SMC or what ever, re-installed the original Mac OS that came with the iMac, nothing made any difference.
I took a punt on a £2 Bluetooth USB dongle from Amazon, what do you know it actually works!  It is seen by the iMac as if it was the original Bluetooth hardware, uses the built-in drivers.  I don't know at this stage how well it's going to work over the coming weeks or months, but it's looking good as it will only be used for Apple keyboard and mouse (from the same period), and they paired without any problems.
The actual name of the item on Amazon was Super Mini USB Bluetooth 2.0 Wireless Adapter Dongle - OEM, I'm sure a simple search would find it.
For all those losing Bluetooth, after having tried the suggestions in these forums with no luck I would say give this a try.  I plugged the dongle directly into the back of the iMac, this is not a problem for us however as it effectively replaces the wired USB connection that the original keyboard used.

And to add more information to my prior post, Airport is also nonfunctional after the 10.5.2 upgrade. Unlike the bluetooth problem, System Profiler sees the Airport card, but trying to configure the Airport under Network fails. The button to turn the Airport on is greyed out, and I haven't found another way to turn it on. I've tried resetting PRAM and SMC, rebooting, creating another user account. I've also re-installed 10.5.0 (archive/install), and that brings back both Bluetooth and Airport operation. When I then apply the 10.5.2 combo updater, the OS can no longer find the BT hardware module, and the Airport card can't be turned on. Rebooting under Tiger fixes it all, so I think I'm safe in saying it's the 10.5.2 update that's breaking things.

  • Lost Bluetooth

My iphone 4S has suddenly lost Bluetooth! It no longer appears on the menu when I go into Settings and I can't get it from the pull up screen although it still has a button, it simply says "Bluetooth not available". Not sure if the recent upgrade is involved but ir is very frustrating as I just bought the BOSE wireless Bluetooth speaker and I can't use it! Anyone come accross this or have any ideas what has happened?

    Hi Grandad SE,
If you are having issues with Bluetooth no longer being available, you may find the troubleshooting in the following article helpful (it is for a similar WiFi issue, but the steps should be the same):

  • Lost bluetooth on my toshiba

I have lost bluetooth in my machine and would like some1 to help me troubleshoot this.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

According the specs here, your computer does not come with the Bluetooth hardware built in.
It's confusing because Toshiba includes the Bluetooth software.

  • Lost Bluetooth iphone 4

I lost bluetooth. When I go to "Settings" under "General" Bluetooth shows OFF. When you click on Bluetooth it doesn't give an "on/off" option just the spinning wheel of death. I have turned it completely off, I have reset network settings and I have turned off and on airplane mode...I finally connected it to Itunes and downloaded the latest software version 4.0.2 and then restored everything. It doesn't even show a Bluetooth Icon in the top right corner of the screen. Any other suggestions?

Update... I also lost WiFi a couple of days later. I took the phone to Apple store and they did a "restore" and still nothing. They said it's a hardware issue and replaced the phone.

  • Satellite T130-11U lost Bluetooth connection after installing Mobile Broadb

I recently bought a Satellite T130-11U and established a connection with my Nokia N82, using PC Suite.
Then I installed my Mobile Broadband (TMN operator) and lost the Bluetooth connection.
There must be some way to overcome this "conflict".
    Anyone faced the same problem?
    Thank you.

    Hi
Maybe this 3rd party application is not compatible and this is the reason why this happens
But first of all you should check if the Bluetooth is still enabled
Furthermore you should check if this issue would happen after installation of new BT stack
Here you can find the new BT stack:

  • Latest version PC Suite - new bluetooth connection...

Following installation of the Nokia PC Suite update onto my computer in April I can't get my 6288 to connect with my computer properly by bluetooth so as to enable me to syncronise my phone with outlook. I used to be able to do it no problem. Now, all I can do is connect with the computer using bluetooth via the bluetooth application on my computer or my phone but not using Nokia PC Suite. When I connect using my phone a message comes up telling me that I can transfer audio files only. PC Suite tells me that I do not have the correct hardware or software installed. Can anyone tell me what has happened and how to solve it? Should it be as simple as just reinstalling the latest update again - if so, this isn't working? Help desperately sought - many thanks.

I have the same problem and finally found a solution:
I tried a D-Link 122 with the software and an other Bluetooth device delivered with Bluesoleil sofware.
I give you the solution that finally works:
1.uninstall Nokia PC suite and the Blue tooth software and remove the usb dongle.
    2. reboot yje PC and use an cleaner (CClaener or ncleaner).
    3. reboot and insert the usb dongle.
    4. DO NOT INSTALL ANY BLUETOOTH SOFTWARE (= no Bluesoleil or orther BT software), let windows find the drivers and install the hardware. (if the dongle is not windows supported.... buy a new one...).
    5 Nokia install PC suite.
    this works.

    Hi,
I recently updated to Nokia_PC_Suite_683_rel_14_1_eng_us_web and now I am having troubles when trying to sync.
I am getting the message [device name] connected via bluetooth and several seconds later it's getting disconnected with the message: [device name] disconnected via bluetooth --> in E61
In 6230 - it's getting crazy and the phone is being shot down.
I restarted both phones many times, restarted also the computer.
Yesterday it worked for a while, I managed to syn my calendar but today it's not working again.
until now I used an older version PC_Suite_681_rel_13 and it worked properly.
I tried to go back but it's not working now.
    My Os is winxp- SP2
    PC suite version PC_Suite_683_rel_14_1_eng_us_web
    Bluetooth: Widcomm ver 4.0.1
    Machine - HP notebook.
I hope someone has an idea.

I'm having the same problem. Uninstalled old PC suite and installed Nokia_PC_Suite_683_rel_14_1_eng_us_web today.
With 6230i, phone is seen and a bluetooth connection is made but almost immediately PC suite disconnects. Can't even get a DKU-2 cable connection anymore.
    Useless!
    Help! Any ideas anyone?

  • Lost bluetooth in preferences since upgrading to yosemite

It seems I have lost the Bluetooth icon in System Preferences since I upgraded to Yosemite, does anyone know how to retrieve Bluetooth?
    Thanks
    Barry,

I had the same issue and it took forever to find a solution that worked, but here's the one that finally did:
Go to /Library/Preferences and delete com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
    Reboot
    If that still doesn't work:
Go to ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost and delete a file called com.apple.Bluetooth.[HEX-ID-NUMBERS].plist
    Reboot
Some other possible options might be to reset your SMC and/or PRAM. Needless to say, I'm relieved that the above solution worked for me. And I hope it works for you too!

  • Problems with PC Suite and bluetooth connection to...

    Hi, I have the following:
Pentium 4 PC running Windows XP service pack 2
    PC Suite 6.82.22.0
    PC Connectivity Solution:
    Version 6.43.9.0
    Bluetooth stack:
    Microsoft Bluetooth stack
    Version 5.1.2600
    Build 2180
I have had repeated problems trying to get a reliable connection between my 6230 and PC using Bluetooth. Actions so far:
    - Uninstalled PC suite, ran the Cleaner, reinstalled
    - Uninstalled IVT Bluesoleil
    - Done battery reset on phone
    - Restored factory settings on phone
    - Set phone to auto-connect without confirmation
Restoring the factory settings worked -- but only for a few hours! If I so much as restore my ringtone I'm back to square one which is:
    - PC suite recognises "Nokia 6230 connected via bluetooth"
    - PC Sync either fails to recognise the connection at all, or completes with 0 contacts updated, or gives me an error "the mobile phone did not respond"
    - Phone browser sometimes recognises the phone, and sometimes not. Trying to synch via the browser doesn't work.
    - Music transfer starts out by recognising the phone, then stalls and loses the connection.
I can't restore factory settings every time I want to synch my contacts or move music/pictures -- life is much too short! Anybody have any other bright ideas?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
If you are using memory card -> remove that from phone and then try to use PC Suite with your phone...does it help??
BTW: always when you try to use PC Sync, set phone's UI to idle state.

  • Yosemite issues iPhoto images lost, bluetooth not syncing

I uploaded Yosemite and then was instructed that iPhoto needed to be upgraded.  Did that and lost 50% of my albums. Also
bluetooth is not syncing now and is breaking up. At the shop where I took the MacBook Pro, on returning, service person
said many reporting the same issues.  Please advise

No I do have a back up Its kinda long to explain but last a little over a week ago, i delete a important file in my private/var folder and screwed up my computer. Worst part was I didn't run time machine for almost a month that way all my pics that I did bring on weren't backup up. i know this sounds careless but normally does happen like this. Anyway I had to take my imac into to get it fixed and the only way to do it without losing all my data was to do an archive and install and of course my drive was full so they had to swap it out and they put in a 2 TB and ya, so now I am where I am at. Everything is here but got pro app and iphoto issues. I guess worst case scenario if something does go wrong on the install I kinda do have a back up as the old drive can be put into a enclosure and used as a HD but I guess it is a bootable drive so I don't know if it would mount properly. Thanks for you help though/ Really Appreciate it.
