PC-Suite Synchonising in Greek Language

Windows XP SP 2
PC SUite 6.8
Nokia Phone 6131,7610
I had a NOKIA 7610 and installed PC Suite 6.6 greek everything was working fine synchronising contacts and notes from microsoft Outlook.
Recently I bought a NOKIA 6131 and upgraded to PC suite 6.8 because PC suite 6.6 could not recognise NOKIA 6131.
When I tried to synchronise Outlook and the new phone the Greek Characters from contacts and notes were transformed in the phone to other unknown symbols. The same happened when I connected my old NOKIA 7610 in which everything was working fine with previous PC Suite version.
Pls advise what to do !!
Regards
Nikolas

I have the same problem. I just bought the 8GB N95. Outlook 2003. First time I synced the Greek characters from Outlook came out hieroglyphics. Now, if I type in an appointment or new note in Greek directly in the device I can read it on Outlook. But if I change a single character it gets distorted again when I synchronise although it looks ok on the laptop. It is all very confusing. I ve been keeping my contacts in Latin characters all those years thank god but still not being able to have Greek characters between the two is very inconvenient. Please Nokia people or anyone else, give us a solution!
Thanks

  • Does Nokia Suite come in the Greek language?

It was not in the installation options...  Moreover, once I installed Nokia Suite in English(UK), it updated the software in my phone (701), which became English too and lost all support for Greek language.

    Hi altiport,
Yes it is true that Nokia Suite do not have an option for Greek language. But it is very strange that when you updated your phone software it changed your phone language as well.
However, you can choose Greek language in your phone by going to Settings -> Phone -> Language and then you can choose Greek language.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,
    Best regards,

  • Need Greek language on oracle report

    Hi,
I digged up a lot of stuff on how to get a report to be displayed in diffrent languages.
I tried a lot of stuff, change font setting to Greek in Oracle Report Builder , still this doesn't show greek characters ,
    for example,
    έγγραφο μεταφοράς
(Ths english equivalent for the above text is 'transfer document')
This field is read from a DB.
In the DB we are able to store it in the greek language itself,
    έγγραφο μεταφοράς
So, now when I run the report, on the paper layout which is generated,
i get this ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿ instead of the έγγραφο μεταφοράς
Any one can help me out.. with this..
if you could point to some link where there are steps , I can follow the same..
    Thanks..

An additional quote string ' character with the number field will solve this problem but if u want to display this field in report then it will look ugly
'''||yourfield from table; check ur regional settings also
plz mark it helpful correct if it is

  • Nokia 225 Dual Sim firmware 20.00.11 greek languag...

    I have a Nokia 225 Dual Sim (Model RM-1011 Code 059V5S6)
    I had firmware 10.01.11
I upgraded with Lumia Software Recovery Tool to 20.00.11 and greek language disappeared.
Is it possible to downgrade? Because the phone is used by my 74 years old dad and english is not an option for him.

The Nokia feature phones never had the ability to downgrade. Are you really certain that the new firmware that got installed is the same as that was previous? Because they usually don't miss out on languages as such.
Does the about section display the same product code (059V5S6) as printed on the label under the battery?

  • Greek Language Support for Zen To

The majority of my music collection is Greek songs and it'ss a real shame that Creative does NOT have language support for Greek. I tried entering a song in Greek letters since I have dual language support on my Windows XP. When I look at the Media Source Transferring program, the file name seems to be recognized and doesn?t seem as if there is a problem. However when I view the song title on my Creative Zen Touch (V 2..0 Plays for Sure) the characters are stretched out funny and doesn?t read accent marks similar to how I posted the example bellow.
    A l l I [] s m e a f [ ] s e s ( These [ ] are due to accent marks I guess not being recognized Also pretend this is in Greek letters since this board won?t let me post it in Greek?)
Is there any way around this? It doesn?t seem like such a hard thing for the Creative people to fix?
The sad thing is that Apple actually has Greek language support and to me this is a huge importance to me. I don?t like writing my Greek song titles in Latin characters, it just seems silly.
Message Edited by Colorfinger on 06-06-2006 :29 PM

    Hi Colorfinger,
I also own a Zen Touch and have exactly the same problem you have detailed below with the majority of the music I have loaded to the player as it is in greek and the player doesn't support it. I also have the majority of my music library in greek characters in Windows XP due to the cataloguing issues which arise if the track information is left in latin characters.
When I contacted Creative last year in regards to this they advised me they did not have greek language support for their players and had no plans on offering it in the future either. This of course makes the music library on the Zen Touch an absolute joke, irrespecti've of whether the track information has been loaded onto the player with greek or latin characters. If it has been loaded with latin characters you have the same artist appearing in various areas of the library due to the non standardised spelling of greek words in english. They are either typed phonetically, in greeklish or best guess english. If the track information is in greek, well we have the problem you have outlined in regards to the stress mark not being recognised, the spacing and the alphabetization of the library being a joke when the first letter ot either the artist/album/song is preceded by a stress mark.
I have to admit to being very disappointed as the main reason I purchased a Creative Zen touch is because I had been advised it had multiple language support and I did want to load all my music to the player with greek characters.
To anyone else out there with the same problem, make yourselves known and start asking for firmware updates to include greek language support, especially for people buying Creative's players in Greece.Message Edited by Tomaraki on 09-30-2006 06:00 PM

  • Greek language in Nokia 6290

Hi, I am Greek and my 6290 which I bought from Austria does not support Greek Language. Does anybody know where can I download the greek language?
    Thank in advance

Thanks a lot my friend. I thought so too, but I was hoping that I could do it my self without leaving my phone for such a long time that they need to make the update.
    Anyway, thanks a lot again...

  • Greek language support for ipod touch?

why the greek language is not included in the supported languages for ipod touch?
why there is no greek keyboard nor a speller?
is it so hard to do it?
the greek language is not important?
as fur as i know apple has also a market for ipod in greece as well as other products...
but no greek language support in the ipod... why?

    yes this is also true,
as fur as it goes for displaying text in greek  the results are pretty good.
but when it come to writing...this is a totally different scenario...
unfortunately you have many other options apart from writing greek of curse.
to conclude and this is something that keeps bugling me,
    maybe I am wrong,
but i think that the OS the ipod touch runs is based OSX 10.4 (tiger),
if not mostly the same OS.
if the above assumption is correct in some whey..and by having in mind that the support for many languages is already realized for the above OS
is interesting to notice that the support of this already realized languages is limited in the platform of ipod touch ( concerning writing and spelling).
    how knows...
