PC Suite versions fail to install & PC Suite Clean...

Hello,
I had been enjoying the full functioning use Nokia E51 phone and of PC Suite, from v7.1.18.0 to v7.1.26.0 on my home PC and business laptop without any issues.
On my home PC running XP SP3 I upgraded from PC Suite v7.1.26.0 to v7.1.26.0 successfully - no problems
My problem is with my corp business laptop.
This is running XP Pro SP2. On this laptop PC Suite v7.1.26.0 was working perfectly [and I have really appreciated it].
However, on attempting to upgrade to the latest v7.1.26.1 after starting the installer, which opens, no progress is made and error .txt produce. I went to Add/Remove programs and successfully uninstalled the v7.1.26.0, and all other Nokia software to attempt to make a fresh install.
Unfortunately even a fresh d/l of PC Suite v7.1.26.1 and new attempt to install fails with the same message about 1 second into the install process.
I tried installing the PC Suite v7.1.26.0 but this too now errors with the same message.
I downloaded PC Suite Cleaner 7.1.1 but I cannot get this to complete...the progress bar stops almost as quick as it appeared... 0% complete.
I have tried rebooting... I have used jv16 to search for 'Nokia' re entries and deleted these in an attempt to clean install [I am experienced and competant in pc tech]
However, the exact same issue is present....no progress for either the PC Suite installer or the PC Suite Cleaner.
The Corporate McAfee Security Suite has no logs that would indicate that it is blocking either of these software.
I have attached the Temp dumptext files that are generate.
Your assistance time and energy trying to solve this issue greatly appreciated.

Yes, I know the folders in my XP laptop that you are talking about.I had removed them and saved them in another place in my attempts to make a clean install.
Unfortunately no new logs are created during the failed install attempts.
Yes, there is the .exe installer for v7.1.26.0 in the Installations folder but this fails to run.
However, I did find the .msi installers [v7.1.26.0] for both PC Connectivity Solution and PC Suite - these are:
PCCS.msi
Nokia_PC_Suite.msi
I was able to run them in the order they are above and the install was successful and software fully functioning.
So, what I would now like to try is installing v7.1.26.1 using the .msi installers.
Where would I get clean copies of these for PCCS.msi and Nokia_PC_Suite.msi ?

DB Version Error when install SOA Suite using with DB 10G 10.2.0.1

Hi,
I am trying to install SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0 in Windows XP environment where an Oracle 10g database 10.2.0.1 is pre-installed. When I try to use Advanced Installation, the system says that my database version should be 10.2.0.2 or higher. I couldn't find any 10.2.0.2 version or higher for Windows XP on Oracle download site. There is only 10.2.0.3 for Windows Vista. Anyone knows whether there is a workaround?

Hi, I met this problem some weeks early. I wrote a conlusion about this:
Update Oracle Database 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.2 on Windows XP
When I install Oracle SOA Suite 10g Release 3(10.1.3.x, soa_windows_x86_101310_disk1.zip download from http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/soa/index.html), a error occured. Because the version of Oracle Database on my laptop is 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.1). Then I download the update patch p4547817_10202_WINNT.zip from metalink.oracle.com and install the database without installing the starter database and instance (orcl). After this, use p4547817_10202_WINNT.zip to updata Oracle Database 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.2 and then use DBCA to install a new database and instance (orcl).
Summary:
1. patch: p4547817_10202_WINNT.zip downloaded from metalink.oracle.com
2. only install Oracle database software, don't install any database or instance
3. use p4547817_10202_WINNT.zip to update the database software
4. use DBCA to install a new database
Question:
1. how to update when there already exist data in database?
2. Oracle database express edition isn't stabile enough? Because there are always some error appear during SOA Order Booking demo using.

Latest PC Suite version fails after 1-2 system reb...

I've been using PC Suite successfully under XP SP3 with my 6102 phone connected via Nokia USB cable. When I updated PC SUite recently to v7.1.18.0 the suite worked fine, but after a couple of reboots of my computer it no longer registers the phone when I plug the cable in. When I tell PC Suite to "repair" itself, it knows that a Nokia phone is connected, even though it shows it as disconnected in the system tray area. I have unistalled and reinstalled PC Suite twice with repeateable results -- sees the phone initially, then refuses to connect fully after system reboots. Any ideas?

PC Suite Cleaner is no longer available on the Nokia web site. I found a copy (v3.6) on another site but when I tried to run it, I got a message that it would not work with the version of PC Suite that was "installed" (the fact that PC Suite Cleaner detected anyting at all proves that PC Suite uninstall left residual stuff on the hard drive). Tried reinstallng newest PC Suite (now for the fourth time), with the same result: Worked flawlessly, but icons did not appear in system tray area after reboot; when trying to uninstall or repair, it detects that a Nokia phone is connected, but PC Suite won't display icons or sync with phone with it unless I completely uninstall and reinstall it.

Installed, licensed, and working Creative Suite CS3 fails. How do I clean Adobe off my system for new installation?

I run Macbook Pro with Mavericks. I have a licensed copy of Creative Suite CS3 installed. It simply stopped working. InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator close upon opening. Tried repairing the installation, uninstalling, and reinstalling. Didn't work. The reinstallation did no provide an opportunity to enter the serial number. Tried CS5cleaner. Didn't work. Adobe updater mac version fails when opening Master Suite CS3 products after reinstall from drive crash

When I open a CS3 Adobe Product I get a screen that says "Adobe Updater Failed". I reinstalled the suite after a hard disk failure and re-registered the product. I'm sure that there are many updates since this suite came out many years ago, and I want to update to the latest versions.

I have since downloaded a new version of Adobe Updater 5, but now when i launch, the the error screen: "Check your internet connections, Updater cannot connect to the web [paraphrased]", shows up. Of course the internet connection is there for safari, firefox and chrome.

Hould I uninstall creative suite cs after I installing creative suite 6?s

Should I uninstall creative suite cs after installing cs6? I am currently installing it and thought that it would write over the older version, but I see that this is not true.

Each version is independent. You could have both on your machine and use them independently

Master Suite CS5 New computer install and suite won't update.

I just installed my CS5 Master Suite on my new laptop. No problem. Trying to update all the programs and I keep getting server error or the update just gets stuck and freezes.
What's going on? How do I fix this? I have already tried stopping it and updating on program at a time. Still get a failure to update.

Error installing pc suite/nokia cable drivers/noki...

hi..i'm using windows xp service pack 2,my phone is a nokia 5700MX on firmware version:3.83.1
i had the nokia pc suite version 6.82 installed on my pc but accidentally deleted some nokia pc suite files(common files),so i decided to uninstall and reinstall the newer pc suite version 7.
i tried to manually delete the program files and registry entries but that was too much to handle so i used REVO uninstaller to completely remove the pc suite files and reg. entries from my pc.
now whenever i try to install pc suite version 7, i receive two consecutive error messages:
1-"UninstPCSFEMsi.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience".
2-"installation operation failed.the windows installer service could not be accessed.this can occur if you are running windows in safe mode,or if windows installer is not correctly installed.contact your support personnel for assistance".
and that's the same case whenever i try to install nokia software updater or nokia cable driver but with only the second message.
i re-installed the windows installer but still no good,so i tried that nokia pc suite cleaner version 3.6 with every option available in it..no good! but i attached the log to this message ,maybe it'll help u help me !

If your intension is to install the latest PC on your PC, uinstall Nokia PC Suite(if any), PC Connectivity solution, Nokia Connectivity cable driver Run Nokia PC Suite clenaer and then install Nokia PC Suite latest switch off/on the PC and then try to connect your mobile now... Best of Luck

Trying to install Creative Suite 6 on MacBook Air but an error message "Case-Sensitive volume is not supported" come up.
How can I solve this problem and start using Creative Suite?
Can I install Creative Suite 6 on case-sensitive volume?
If not, how can I change my volume to non case-sensitive one?
I am a graphic designer and not a developer who is not so savvy about tech.

What versions of Oracle Application Server suite to install on Windows 2008

Hello everyone!
Now I want to install Oracle Application Server on Windows Server 2008.
I downloaded 10.1.3.1.0 SOA suite, and also downloaded the patchset for 10.1.3.4, I'm working on windows server 2008,its version is 6.0. and 11g database release(11.1.0.6.0)(installed).
But when I try to install SOA suite, it give me error on 1st screen of universal installer as “checking operating system version: must be 5.0,5.1 or 5.2. actual 6.0 failed<<<< Press enter to exit”.
And when I try to install patchset for 10.1.3.4. It does not show any version problem,but it give me a Error message “There are no patches that need to be applied from the patchset oracle app server patchset 10.1.3.4.0 “,after screen “Specify file locations”.
Please tell me how to install successfully what kind of Oracle AS on Windows Server 2008!

If you are using an AMD 64bit machine, then paritcularly check line 88. If you have an intel, see particularly 125 and 126 to see the relevant patches to be applied before installation of your type of AS software.

Installing Developer Suite 10g R2 on Windows Vista failed !!

It seems Oracle has a new challenge of producing a new edition of Developer Suite that will install on Windows newest falvour, Vista. I installed Oracle db 11g on my Vista O.S. and everything runs normally. But my Developer Suite 10g R2 failed to launch setup.exe, giving me the following error:
Checking installer requirements...
Checking operating system version: must be 5.0, 5.1 or 5.2. Actual 6.0
Failed <<<<

Any idea to solve the problem? Or it's all that I have to wait Oracle for an 11g Developer Suite version that is supported by Vista??!

Either your tnsnames.ora file that Forms is using is not set up properly to connect to your database, or else you need to install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter.
I have set up laptops with a Loopback Adapter, so Forms will connect regardless of the Windows computer name. If the computer name is included in the tnsnames entry for your on-board database, then you probably don't need it.
When you installed the 11g database, the installation set up a tnsnames.ora file with an entry for that database. First, try copying the entry into the corresponding tnsnames.ora file used by Forms.
In my system, I have four distinct tnsnames.ora files, each one is a duplicate of the others. Whenever I need to change an entry, I do it in one of them, then do a Save As three times to replace the other three. I use these comment lines at the top of the file to help me:
#-- For reference, save as: C:\oracle\tnsnames___ref.ora
#-- For Forms6i,   save as: C:\oracle\orant\NET80\admin\tnsnames.ora
#-- For Forms10,   save as: C:\oracle\DevSuiteHome_1\network\admin\tnsnames.ora

PC Suite ver 7.0.8 update fails to install on Vist...

I have PC Suite ver 6.85 installed on an ASUS laptop running Vista Business SP1. When I try to update to the latest version of PC Suite 7.08 the installation program runs to ca. 80% and then crashes with the message "Previous version of PC Suite cannot be uninstalled"? Has anyone else encountered this and is there a work around? I have tried uninstalling 6.85 with CCleaner but the install of 7.0.8. still fails with the same message. Any help please.

I have an old pc suite version installed in my old laptop(about 6 years old - OS Windows Vista Home Basic) but today i decided to upgrade to the latest one(i think it's version 7). I was able to successfully install it. when i launched the application, it worked fine but when i connected my phone(Nokia X2) via USB cable that was when i started to have troubles. When i inserted the usb cable that came with the phone to my laptop, a prompt appeared that my machine was installing the drivers for my device. After about 5 minutes, the installation was complete and it prompted me to reboot my computer and so i did. Before it powered off, the machine said it was completing the updates first, then done. When it came back on, Windows failed to load and reboot my computer. The complete error msg was: "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your windows installation disc & restart your computer.
2. Choose language settings, and then click 'Next.'
3. Click "Repair your computer."
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

Ntoskrnl.exe is a driver in Windows\ System 32. Replace with Windows\ Driver Cache\ i386\ ntoskrnl.exe in safe mode. If that doesn't work, you've to reinstall W7 as suggested earlier and make a backup with Macrium Reflect. It's not sure that your problem is related to PC Suite. Your PC or laptop might be to old for W7. Reinstall PC or OVI Suite as administrator in XP mode.
