PC Sync 6.822 and Outlook 2000: fields?

Hi Nokia peeps!
Just got up and running with a 6131. Installed PC Suite 6.822 on XP Service Pack 2. Unlike lots here my PC Suite comes up and connects/syncs every time.
However......
In Outlook 2000 contacts folder I have name, address, email, phone, mobile, fax, web address, birthdays etc etc fields. There are loads of fields in Outlook 2000 Contacts page.
But......
PC Sync only seems to sync over the Name and main phone number???? Where are the rest of the fields? I can see the fields in the Nokia PC Suite phone Contact maker/editor. So why aren't they pulled in from Outlook 2000?
Any advice for me please?!
I can only see the option to tell the phone to sync with the "Contacts" folder in Outlook and not WHICH fields in that Contacts folder.
Is basic name/phone number all I'm going to get?
Cheers
Dave

sorry, am being confused, aer the contacts not appearing in outlook or not appearing on the handset?
If it is Outlook open up a contact and next to one of the contact fields click on the down arrow and see if any of the fields has a tick, if so that should be were the number is
However i think what you are saying is it is not going to the handet. if so backup your contacts in outlook (in case something goes wrong and they all end up duplicated or worse... lost) and then look for C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Application Data\Nokia\PCSync\SynchData and delete the folder with the IMEI number. then set up the sync again, remember to do the settings.
Had to do this on a mates pc the other day and it seemed to work

  • Can't sync Palm Centro and Outlook 2007/Windows 7 - please help!

    Hello,
I've never posted on a forum, but I'm at my wits end...!  I've been trying to get my Palm Centro to sync Contacts/Calendar/Memos to Outlook 2007 on my new laptop for a week now with no success.  It used to sync just fine to my old computer with Windows XP and Outlook 2003.  Then that computer crashed (my Outlook files were backed up on an external harddrive).  I received my new computer with Windows 7 XP (32-bit) and Outlook 2007.  I've downloaded the Palm Desktop 6.2, Windows 2007 Conduit, and Software Update 1.03 (Windows installer) for Centro for Verizon.
When I sync my phone to my new Outlook, it completes all 12 steps, but does not load Contacts/Calendar/Memos to Outlook.  This is a list of the error messages:

Can someone please help me transfer Contacts/Calendar/Memos from my Palm Centro to my computer's Outlook 2007?
I've ready about 3rd party software in posts (Pocket Mirror), but I don't know if it applies here because the Contact/Calendar/Memo information is in my Centro - not in Outlook.  I need to get it from my Centro to Outlook 2007.
Any help is greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

I have been using this and it works great.  On their site you can choose the phone and the particular program you need to sync with and choose which you way you want to sync.
    Hope this helps
Sorry hat, the Centro has absolutely nothing in common with a webOS device!  It runs PalmOS.  Nice of you to reply with your suggestion though!
@SyncHelpPlease:  OLERR errors are covered in this Palm KB article:

Something I noticed in your post - you installed Palm 6.2.2 AND the 2007 conduit.  Palm Desktop 6.2.2. has the 2007 conduits built into it already, and the patch is not needed.  Whether this is the cause of your problems, I'm not sure, but I've fielded several posts of the same issue where the user did the same thing you did!
I'd suggest doing a clean uninstall, and reinstall of Palm Desktop 6.2.2 only.
I admit, I do not use Outlook, nor Win7, so I'm giving you my best guess at a way to solve your problem.  Hopefully, this may lead to a solution!

  • Permanently turning off syncing for iPad and Outlook

I am needing to find out how to permanently turn of the synching between iPad and Outlook when I connect the iPad to the main computer. I tried what was written in the manual, but I could not find out how to do the first step mentioned.

    Hi TracyMiller
    Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums
To turn off Wireless Syncronization of Contacts and Calendar for any email account try this :
On your Homescreen Go to Setup > Email Account > Highlight  Email Account > Press the Menu key > Select Edit > On that Screen Scroll down and under Syncronization Options UNcheck or UNmark Contacts and Calendars > Then Save it ( You may get prompt to validate it by entering your email password )
I hope it will resolve your issue.

  • No Sync with Imac and Outlook for mac 2011

    Hello,
just bought a new bb torch, but it does not synchronise with outloop (office for mac 2011).
    no contacts, no agenda.
I can not choose which agenda/contacts.
It looks like the Torch goes to the standard email progam of Imac and not to Outlook.
The only contacts are the standard contacts from addressbook imac.
    thanks in advance,
    rob

I have just discovered the same thing - if you do a search around the topic you will find it confirmed that the only thing that will sync with Outlook for Mac is contacts.
I've just moved everything over from a PC to a Mac and so to find it not working is so frustrating.

  • Address Book Sync Problems - 8530 and Outlook 2007

This has been a nagging problem for me for quite some time.  Here's my current status:
    Curve 8530 on Verizon Wireless
Access to Corporate resources and email via BES
I also access Gmail from the device
Right now I am not synching over the air - that has never worked.  I'm using Desktop Manager, and recently downgraded to Version 5.01.  When I connect the device and configure for Address Book sync the application starts the process, then craps out without synching.  I've rebooted the PC, reloaded the application without success.
And right now the device's address book is blank.  Any ideas?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Given that you are on BES, why in the world are you putting up with it's non-functionality? With BES, you should be receiving Over the Air (OTA) sync of email, contacts, calendar, tasks, etc...no need whatsoever to synchronize to Outlook via USB tether. If that is not working, then you should do one of two things:
    1) Talk to your BES admins and have them get it working properly for you...you are missing a lot!!!
    -- OR --
    2) Talk to your carrier about changing your data plan and dropping BES -- you are paying extra for a service that you cannot even use!!
Once you decide which path you wish to pursue, let us know.
    Good luck!

  • HT1692 sync between iPhone and Outlook 2007

first time sync went perfectly well.  Now it doesn't sync anymore.  It seems to be synchronising, but it does not.  How come???

i use outlook for my work email, but my personal email is in gmail.  besides work email, i do not use outlook at all.
i get my work email on my iPhone, but i do not sync calendars and contacts as i have to use an imap connection for work, and this does not allow for calendar or contact syncing.
i have seen a gmail/outlook sync tool, but i am afraid i do not use it so i can not offer any help with it.

  • Problem syncing apple contact and outlook

After updating my OS to Maverick, I noticed that my outlook 2011 no longer sync with my apple contact. Anybody who has the same experienced and any suggestions on how to sync this.
Need your HELP badly. Thanks in advance.

    I have OSX 10.9.4
    Running MS Outlook 14.4.3
    Running Apple "Contacts" 8.0 (1371)
    Running iTunes 11.3 (54)
New contacts entered in Outlook are not syncing over to Contacts.
In Outlook -> Preferences -> Sync Services have de-selected then re-selected Contacts (as well as all others, Calendar, Tasks, etc - but really don't care about them, just care about contacts).  With shutdowns and restarts after each and also trying without shutdowns and restarts.  Still, contacts that are newly entered in Outlook are not showing up in Contacts.
Have searched for the various .plist files to try and delete them as well as searching for “com.microsoft.outlook.XXXXX.plist” “com.microsoft.SyncServicesAgent.plist" com.apple.AddressBook.plist and com.apple.AddressBook.abd   Have not been able to find (and thus delete them).
    Have tried this
        Force Quit Outlook
Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor
Look for the Sync Services Agent under Process Name
Highlight this process and click Quit in the upper left
         Close Activity Monitor
         Re-Start Outlook
Doesn't help (indeed "Sync Services Agent" doesn't seem to quit, ever.  Even when selecting quit or force quit in Activity Monitor.
I need to get these new contacts that I created in Outlook to start syncing over to Apple's Contacts Program.

  • No option to select Outlook for syncing - 64bit Win7 and Outlook 2010

The option to sync with Outlook is not there ! It's there on my XP 32 bit machine but not my new 64bit Win7 laptop with 64bit Outlook installed. Is thsi a compatibility issue ?

  • Sync iphone 4s and Outlook contacts

i often get new contacts on my phone, and sometimes i get them on my desktop.  I would like to sync the 2 platforms so that new contacts created on my phone will be updated on my desktop and vica-versa?
For example, i just created a new contact on my phone, and when i plugged it into my computer and hit the sync button, the new contact that i just created on my phone did not show up in my outlook contacts.
    what am i missing?
    thanks, Darren

i noticed that new contacts created in Outlook do end up on my phone, but how come new contacts created on my iphone wont be saved to Outlook

  • Calendar Not Syncing - Windows XP and Outlook

My calendar has been syncing fine since the last time it crashed a couple months ago. Now it doesn't sync at all; no events move in either direction. I've done everything suggested on the support pages:
    Hard Reset
    Reset Sync History
    Disable third-party Outlook add-ins (there were/are none)
    Reinstalled iTunes
I even restored the iPhone to the factory settings and am ONLY sync'ing the calendar. When I hit the sync button, iTunes claims it's syncing my calendar...and it says that for about two minutes. But nothing changes.
What else can I do? I'm at a loss. Thanks in advance

    I have the same problem.
Ever since I upgraded to iTunes 8 my Airport Express has disappeared from the screen and was not detected ever since. Also my Outlook 2003 calendar stopped syncing. The stupid self help steps on the apple support site did (of course) not help. Are there actually any Apple programmers or support staff reading all these complaints? I haven't seen a single helpful post for this problem - nothing, nada, nix! And there are quite some complaints about this problem out there!
With the previous versions of iTunes everything worked fine and I regularly synced my iPhone 3G and played music through Airtunes. Now I spend hours on the net looking for help.
Is it a problem of the itunesoutlookaddin.dll file??? I don't know. The only thing I know is that iTunes does not find the calendar anymore. In the iTunes synchronisation window it does not show my calendar anymore. You can choose the option "Outlook" but it doesn't show my specific calendar. I can only click the option "All Calendars" - but without any result. At the same time it shows my Outlook mail account correctly.
It's very frustrating, especially because my Nokia syncs without a single hickup - it just works...
