I have Version 6.81.13.0 with a Nokia 6680 phone. When I try and synchronise with my Outlook 2002 SP 2, I get the following error from PC Suite.

My environment is as follows:
1)What is the name of the manufacturer and the model of your PC, including the operating system installed i.e. Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 or XP.
A: TOSHIBA TECRA LAPTOP. WINDOWS XP Professional 2002 SP 1
2)Was your operating system installed by an Original Equipment Manufacturer? Note: if you installed the operating system yourself then this is not an OEM installation.
A: INSTALLED BY OEM
3)Does your operating system have the latest Service Pack and all the latest updates from Microsoft? To find the Service Pack that is installed on your PC, open Control Panel, then System. The General tab displays details of your operating system, including the Service pack.

A: I can send PIM items (e.g. Contacts, calendar, notes) from my phone to the PC and they get added into the PC Outlook express so I know I can communicate via Bluetooth. I can see Contacts, Messages from the PC on the Phone etc so most functions seem to work

Just wanted to say that I had the same problem with Notes 6.x and now am working just fine.

Photoshop CS5.1 will not even open. Says it has encountered a problem and has to close.

I have just today downloaded a free trial of Adobe CS5.1, but when I try to open it, it brings up the loading screen, and then when it says "Starting-up plug-ins, Scripting Support" an error message comes up saying "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 has encountered a problem and needs to close.
This also happens when I try to use Photoshop Elements 8. It will not let me on to the Organiser.
As well as this, I had a problem with bridge. Whenever I tried to download images onto my computer, it said "Adobe photo downloaded has encountered a fatal error. Error code: c0000005 (I cannot remember what the address was though). I uninstalled bridge and then tried to download CS5.1 so I could get bridge again, but it has only made things worse!
What should I do?

Ok I did that and it said
"Faulting application photoshop.exe, version 12.1.0.0, faulting module scriptingsupport.8li, version 10.0.0.0, fault address 0x000d1a2e."
This would make sense as when I try to start photosohop CS5.1 and the strtup screen appears, when it says "Starting-up plugins, Scripting Support" that it was the message "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 has encountered a problem and has to close" comes up.

Itunes has encountered a problem and has to close ---- Please help me

I had to restore my computer this week. itunes was working fine before I restored. I have a video ipod. I installed from the disc but it encountered a problem half way through. I removed this using the control panel. I then downloaded itunes from apple.com. It installed it but it won't open, it comes up with itunes has encountered a problem and has to close.
I have used all the info on apple.com on how to deal with this, but to no avail.
Please can somebody help me

I am having the same problem and error messages. I had a previous version of Itunes, but updated to the new version today after purchasing an ipod shuffle 2nd gen. I am told that itunes and quicktime installed successfully, but when i go to open itunes, i get the "Itunes has encountered a problem an needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." When i try to open Quicktime, it tells me "quicktime failed to initialize. error # 2905" when i go to the apple.com website and click on the Quicktime tab i get a "plugin error. Generate another of those errors, and click the "Click here" link in the error message box.
What modname and modver do you see for the error? (Precise spelling, please.)
If the error is a BEX and you thus aren't seeing a modname or modver, let us know what P1 through P9 items are being listed for the error.

Itunes has encountered a problem and has to close.

When I opened iTunes the first time today, I had no problem, but then I went to the store, then my computer froze, so I closed it.. And now I downloaded the update and whenever I try to open it a box pops up saying "iTunes has encountered a problem and must close.. " Or at least something like that.

Yup, I've got the same problem although it's installed but now it just won't open and says it has a problem and has to close instantly the second you click a shortcut.

make sure you follow the instructions precisely. if for any reason you can't complete the cleanup instructions, post back to describe the problem.
if your itunes still isn't launching after you try that, we'd better check to see if you've got a rare registry problem that can also produce the same error message.
we diagnose that by creating a new user account (with full administrative privileges). you can do that in your "user accounts" control panel. there's help documentation on it to the left of the screen. while you're in there, also switch off "fast user switching" in your logging-on preferences.
now log on to the new user account. can you successfully launch itunes from inside there?
keep us posted on your progress.

hmmm. that strongly suggests that the itunes problem is due to a broken quicktime. let's try a careful standalone QT 7.0.3 reinstall first.
download and save the QT installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off all antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.

I had no problems before with this program (which I've had on this computer with success since May), but last night I started getting this message. I even downloaded the new version of iTunes in hopes that that would take care of the problem...no luck. Anybody got any ideas or having similiar problems?

I ended up calling tech support after failing to fix this problem myself. I deleted iTunes and iPod from my computer. I reinstalled both. I reset my iPod and I restored it. Nothing worked. Tech support suggested I delete QuickTime and reinstall it. That worked like a charm. I can now sync my iPod again and ALL my videos play on it.

Adobe Air Installer has encountered a problem and has to close....

Every time I try to view a BBC TV program on-line via my IE8 browser + flash10, I get the subject error box repeatedly with the invitation to send a report to Microsoft. It looks as if I have Adobe Air installed (it's in the Add/Remove Programs list in my WinXP+SP3) but I get the same error box if I try to uninstall it or if I try to install the latest version over the top of it. I tried Microsoft's msicuu Cleanup Utility, and that removed AIR from it's own list of programs but AIR is still listed in Add/Remove Programs, and still will not uninstall. However I now get a different error box which says the application requires a version of Adobe AIR which is no longer supported. I tried creating an install log, but nothing gets written to it. I tried running "..installer.exe -uninstall" from a commandline. Same thing. I don't know how to make Adobe AIR go away. I can neither remove it nor install it. I don't think I need it anyway. Can anyone help please? Does anyone at Adobe ever check this forum?

Are you installing AIR installer or running Installer. If your running it make sure you click on the AIR Install package file, not just using installer. Im not really sure what you can do.

itunes was just updated, windows xp, it sees the drive and can read from it.

Windows XP, SP3: 'Skype has encountered a problem and needs to close...'

I have seen quite a few people have this issue on here, but despite countless forum searches and multiple uninstalls/re-installs, I have not been able to fix my problem. I have not had any issues will Skype on my other computer. But I have recently gotten a WiFi adapter for the Windows XP in my room, and decided to download Skype on here as well. I have tried various downloads from Skype, earlier versions of Skype, and deleting .xml files as well as updating and restarting my computer. My install seems to go smoothly, but once I click on Skype or its shortcut icon, a blank Skype window opens up, quickly followed by an error message like displayed in the title. I have sent a few error reports, but that doesn't really move toward fixing my problem. If someone could help me reach a solution soon, that would be greatly appreciated. I have been unable to find any idea how to resolve this.
Please can anyone describe what they have done to sort this?
I am using MS Office 2008.
Turning off the sync between the two calendars was not the answer, as the messages continued. So I have temporarily disabled the sync between iCal/Entourage and my iPad. This has prevented the error message, but obviously means I must enter diary dates manually on iPad which is the whole point of the sync!
I haven't found a way to sync between iCal and iPad - this would be a possible work-round. But I'd be so grateful to know how to resolve the sync error.
