PC Theft Defense Service HELP!!!!!!​!!!

Does Best Buy Sell PC Theft Defense Service to intel anti-theft enabled computers that aren't blue label?

I wonder if its controlled on a BIOS level... If disabled in  the BIOS the software won't react no more?

  • THEFT, SHODDY SERVICE, WORTHLESS CUSTOMER SERVICE!

    This odyssey began on Monday, February 7, 2011. I called HP and ordered an power adapter and cord for my PhotoSmart printer. All went well, my order was "confirmed" and I was told I would receive it by February 11th. Thirty minutes later I received an email saying that HP was not able to process my order. I called back about this, the order was redone, long story short, three(3) times I placed the order and it was confirmed over the phone and rejected , via email, all three times.
    On the fourth try I was given profuse apologies and told I would be sent the items free of charge. I was then contacted by my credit card company about  a number of charges from HP, $30.14 and $5,00..., I then called HP and was given a 4 hour run around by Parts and Custoomer Service, I was told that the adapter "was" shipped/sent out on the first order, but not the cord. I questioned why I was not informed of this via emal. I was told that "they-Nelson Lopez-Parts" did not know.
    I was then told no refund/credit would be issued until the part was returned. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold and "lost". When I recalled I was told it would take 24-48 hours for a representative to get back to me. Meanwhile, now I have  a outstanding bill for $35.00 on my credit card for a duplicate part and I will have to take time and money to send it back to get a refund.
    I was going to buy a HP computer this month but due to the terrible ordering and customer service issue will never buy another HP product in life. I consider it theft when you are told no order is made yet money is taken off your credit card.
    What do you think? I would be interested in any other non-customer service issues/horror stories regarding HP, it is sad when one spends four hours to clear up an error made for $35.00. The customer service program is a joke. No one can do anything for you, or will do anything.

  • Web Service Help

  • EPMA web service help needed (9.3.1.5)

    I'm having issues when trying to utilize the backend EPMA web services. What I'm attempting to do is write a java app that can hit the EPMA services to authenticate, upload a flat file, then run a flat file import using a rule on the server.
    I'm currently able to authenticate and able to upload, but my call to the Imports.asmx web service to startFlatFileImportJob() is returning the following exception:
    Server was unable to process request. ---> Unable to find assembly 'data_access_layer, Version=9.3.2771.29149, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.

  • Web Service Help (Login Problem?)

    Hi,
         I'm trying to access the queryview webservice.  I have access to the WSDL, but when I perform the SOAP call I get an "Authority check failed" error.
    Any ideas where this error is coming from gurus or how to get past it.?  I'm using infopath to perform the soap call.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    i assume that you have desinged the form and saved it. when you open the saved form and run it you get this error.
    to avoid this you have to pass userid and password. for this you may have to add two fields in the form and add a custom code to the form tohandle the user id and password .

    I am trying to connect to mysql 5 from oracle 9i both on same machine in windows 2003.
    I am using generic connectivity through mysql ODBC connector.
    For that I have :-

    i am a student. working on a project. using java web services. using its api jax-rpc. i have compiled, deployed and run an example given in the tutorial of the web services tutorial\examples\jaxrpc\hello. now i want to bring the "hello" folder out of its original directory to e.g c:\project\. i have tried alot. i am not able to set the paths in the xml files provided. if any one of you can help me in this. my address is [email protected] . i am waiting for your reply.

    Where are you stuck up.
    Try the following steps
    create a directory structure
    c:\projects\jaxrpc
    copy your example
    <JWSDP>/docs/tutorial/examples/jaxrpc/hello to
    c:\projects\jaxrpc
    you may need to remove \build and \dist from the
    example if you have already tried the example
    copy your example
    <JWSDP>/docs/tutorial/examples/jaxrpc/common to
    c:\projects\jaxrpc
    Now the example will run correctly but only the war
    file is created in your original tutorial location.
    Now modify tut-root in
    c:\projects\jaxrpc\common\build.properties to
    tut-root=C:\\projects
    and modify the war-path in \hello\build.properties to
    point to
    war-path=${tut-root}/jaxrpc/${example}/dist/${deployabl
    -war}
    If anything fails first check the paths through
    <YOUR_path>\hello>ant debug
    If there is problem post details where it is failing.

  • Http Service : Help required in displaying result

    Hi All,
    I have created a http service and i'm trying to post the http request. the result is Successful but i'm not able to  display the result in the alert window.
    This is what I'm trying to do on the result event handler function.

    but I'm getting an output something like [object object ]
    Please help. All I need is to do is, display the complete soap envelop ( soap header and body ) present in the result.

  • Wireless connectivity issues with Macbook Pro and At&t service HELP!!!!!

    I have three Computers two PC's and one Macbook Pro( the latest model).My desktop PC is used by ethernet, my girls laptop is used wirelessly and finally my MBP was being used wirelessly.
    I started off with only the two PCs and my internet connection never had a problem and I was doing everything from: on the internet to downloading.
    Before I bought my MBP I had also switched from internet and phone bundle to just internet from At&t service. So when I got my first MBP I notice that I was loosing wireless connection with both my girls pc laptop and my MBP so i thought it was because I had just switched service, though they send out a service technician and we came to a conclusion that it was the MBP. (I was loosing signal via wireless and ethernet). So we tried to see if both my girls laptop(wireless) and my PC desktop (ethernet) would run into the same issue which it did not.(MBP was turned off)
    So I decided to go my nearest Apple store and let them know what was going on. So I told them what was going on and they said It must be the airport card, and they ended up changing it. When I get home I discover that not only I am having the same issue but other issues too. I went back they ran some diagnostic and they said it was defective and they gave me a new one few days later.
    So in the mean time that I waited for my new one to arrive I used my PC desktop and my girl kept using her laptop and guess what no issue what so ever for one whole week. Now I receive my new MBP(they bumped the specs a little), went home set it up and still the same issue though I dont have the issue when Im using via ethernet. Just a view minutes ago I tried removing the ethernet and using the airport/wireless and within a few minutes I lost the signal.
    I have the gateway 2WIRE model(2701HG-B) modem/router.
    Is there something wrong? what do I have to do to make this work?

    Hi Guys, I bough my Mac almost two years ago. All this time I have experienced the same issue. There are tons of discussions re this issue in the internet. Unfortunately, Apple has done nothing to fix it. I have tried a lot of different options, but they work no longer then 1-2 days. The official fix - does not exist so far. It is quit strange, isn't? I can share my experience: if you go to AirPort Utility - Manual Setup - Wireless and then change Channel, it could help you till the moment you restart your computer; next time you need to repeat it again. It takes 2 minutes. Not sure that it would work for you but you could give it a try. Well, not the best option. Anyway Apple must fix it asap! Hello Apple, do you hear us? Good luck.

    Hi, AD isn't my area of expertize, but I need to setup Cert Services.
    I have setup an offline ROOT CA, and online issuing server. I ve done lots of reading, and followed some TechNet articles for setting up this config :-

    After install and config it was all working fine. I can issue certs for internal websites and all works well. but every month I seem to fall foul of this error, and cannot understand what's going wrong and how to fix it. so any help would be greatly appreciated
    the cert service has stopped , and trying to restart gives this error :-
    "The Revocation Function was unable to check Revocation because the revocation Server was offline , 0x80092013 (-2146885613 Crypt_E_revocation_offline)
    if I bring the root ca online, and request a new cert and copy the CRL and CRT files over, its works again, but only for a month.
    I am totally new to cert services, please help !!

    It sounds like everything is working as expected. From what you describe, it sounds like the offline root CA has a 1 month base CRL period. This means that *every* month (sounds familiar?), you have to turn on the root CA, and publish an updated CRL. After
    creating the updated CRL, you must copy it to the locations referenced in the CDP extension of the certificates issued by the root CA.
    Once published, everything works.
    This is by design. If you want to publish a CRL with a longer validity period, then you must modify the CRL settings on the root CA. For example, if you wanted a six month base CRL, delta CRL disabled, and a 2 week overlap period, you could run the following
    lines from a batch file:
    Certutil -setreg CA\CRLPeriodUnits 6
    Certutil -setreg CA\CRLPeriod "Months"
    Certutil -setreg CA\CRLDeltaPeriodUnits 0
    Certutil -setreg CA\CRLDeltaPeriod "Days"
    Certutil -setreg CA\CRLOverlapUnits 2
    Certutil -setreg CA\CRLOverlapPeriod "Weeks"
    You then must restart ADCS on the root. Then you would only have to run the process you described every six months, rather than every month. This is normal PKI maintenance when you have an offline CA.

  • Iphone 5 through AT&T, No Data Service- Help!

    I just got my iphone 5 yesterday, and it connected great to my wireless network. Problem now is that I am away from my wireless and need to use my data plan. There is no connection in the top left where the 3g or 4g banner should be..
    The phone keeps telling me that i am not connected to the internet.
    Does anyone have any insight into this? Is this something i need to take to the AT&T store, or the apple store?
    I just checked my plan and i am currently enrolled in unlimited data.
    Help!

    I went to that site and it said We apologize for any inconvenience. iPhone users must connect to iTunes to activate service
    I am able to make phone calls and text messages from the phone... Is this a seperate step I missed?

  • Poor quality of service - Help is much required

    I have a Blackberry 9360 (IMEI: (personal info removed21). I am based out of Visakhapatnam (A.P.).  Last month, the phone, all of a sudden failed to register my SIM. As it is I was **bleep** off with the performance of this phone but my frustration got aggravated when I visited the BB service centre. I visited Sri Sai Technologies, the only authorised BB repair centre in the city on 20th of June. The Work order number is (personal info removed)234. First I was told that the software needs upgradation, then I was told that the unit needs to be sent to Chennai for repairs. It has been 15 days since then but I have not my instrument back. The repair centre has been procrastinating the delivery since last one week.  have been without my phone for 15 days now. This whole experience has left me utterly disappointed. I hope that now at least, something gets done quickly in this case.

BlackBerry provides zero front line support to end users, including warranty...all support starts with the carriers, authorized resellers, and authorized service centers, all who can escalate cases into BlackBerry at no charge to the end user.
    So, your escalation path is not here, in these forums. Rather, it is through your service center and/or place of purchase...even if they may have so far been unhelpful. You have no free path by which to bypass them, and should be escalating to their management levels.
