PC turns itself off randomly and immediately.

Hello people.
It turns out that for about a month my PC with ArchLinux is filing a bug that is making me get gray hairs as I can not find the exact cause of it.
The Problem:
The drawback is that the PC presented off immediately and when I'm on ArchLinux random. the PC is turned off as if it was the light, ie a second can be turned on and working smoothly, and the next second you can be off without making any noise from the fans. The only indication that I get to know the PC is turned off so abruptly this is that the green LED bulb possessing all PC to indicate they are on, flashing stays about 2 seconds on and about 4 or 5 seconds off ....
Suspicions:
- At first I thought it might be the temperature, but simply looking at the monitoring applet I have in my Xfce noticed that the temperature inside the machine is a few cool 20 degrees and the processor to a fresh 31 degrees ... The highest temperature at which the processor has been a 100% usage was about 48-50 degrees.
- Discarded temperature fault I started to analyze the source of power, buy a power supply tester and my surprise was that my source Termaltake is working to perfection, their voltages delivered successfully in all the connectors used and free. in fact re-order the cables and evenly distributed devices connected to the source.
- Ruled out the source and the temperature began to suspect the RAM, but again and after several tests for my sospresa was executed memories that my two modules Kingston 512Mb DDR400 PC 3200 c / u are operating smoothly.
- Again I set out to find someone to blame for annoying the PC off and here I focus on the two hard drives in the PC and all your partitions, I made bad sectors analysis and other analyzes for hard and everyone tells me so same: "There were no bad sectors" and "His records are in good condition."
- Finally and not finding a possible cause of time for me to focus on hardware software, ArchLinux. as this is a fresh install (from the first days of February) I have systemd from the first start, so I started to look for errors in the logs showing journalctl. I have found in many things .... many which can not be causing the upset potential shutdown and what simple mistakes that have nothing to do with my problem. This is why we attach a full log Journalctl since I started the PC until it happens one of these annoying off:
http://pastebin.com/Q4SVRn5t
In this log highlights an issue with pulseaudio, an alert of private drivers Nvidia graphics, a message from systemd-TMPFILES among others ... As noted in the log .... this outburst reflected in it did not last more than 20 minutes: evil:
At other times I have had problems similar to this ... curious about a year ago with ArchLinux laptop randomly froze and turned off on other occasions (at this time if the process was done closed system) ... but that was on a laptop and not a PC ... regarding the laptop freezes note that was due to demanding settings performed on ATI Radeon drivers, the Catalyst administration panel.
On another occasion a year ago a similar problem also tube but this time on the PC where I presented the reported fault, then what happened was that when commanded to turn off the PC also with ArchLinux, this closed system and completely turned off, but after about 10 or 15 seconds and turn on again fully automatically. : Shock:
Note that this only happened to me in ArchLinux, one of the hard drives I have a partition with Windows XP and the same maximum I can claim to the PC with some games and this does not go off as with ArchLinux.
Anyone else happened something similar? Can you help me interpret what I try to say journalctl? Are there any other log files or system that can run some command to try to obtain more evidence of what may be causing these automatic shutdowns and random?
Greetings and thanks in advance.

Well apparently the problem is my PC ... component knows exactly who ... I say this because a few hours ago was installing Ubuntu on an external hard drive to rule definitively be the ArchLinux and in the process of installing the PC was shut down. Yesterday I did the same just as I was starting the PC from a LiveUSB also with Ubuntu.

  • My iPod Touch turns itself off randomly

My iPod Touch turns itself off randomly. I will be doing something, and it turns off. It gets so bad that it turns off right after I slide to unlock it. Sometimes it flickers off and on as well. It works fine when plugged in to a power source. I haaven't done anything traumatic to it either. It just randomly started. Has this happened to anyone? If so, did you fix it? If you did, How? Please tell me, I'm at the eand of my rope with this.

Depending on the usage and age of the device it could be the battery.
To make sure it is not software related, reset the iPod by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back gain. You will not lose data doing a reset.
Next step after that would be setting it up "as new device" without using the latest backup: How to set up your iPhone or iPod touch as a new device

  • HT4061 I got a brand new iPhone 4S on contract last week and since I've had it it's been over heating and it's turned itself off once and every now and then the screen flickers I just wanted to know is this a common thing as I've never had an iPhone befor

My new iPhone 4S that I have had a for about a week keeps over heating a lot and its turned itself off once and I couldn't turn it on for over half an hour, also my screen flickers from time to time and I'm not sure what to do as I not had an iPhone before can anybody help me please I would be very greatful.

    No, it's not normal.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).
Frankly though, considering it's new, take it back to Apple.

I have an iPad 2. I recently downloaded iOS7. I use a Logitech bluetooth keyboard. I want my bluetooth to stay on constantly. Twice now the bluetooth turned itself off for no apparent reason. Each time I've turned it back on. As of right now, it is still on.
Anyone else having this problem? Anyone know a fix?

  • My Blackberry Curve 8520 turns itself off, lock and get a white screen.

Whenever I'm making a connection, it starts to give strange noises during the call and ends up shutting down completely. When I try to turn it on again, it starts loading the OS, when the progress bar loads halfway, he gets the white screen and locks up completely, making it impossible to use again. The Blackberry only back to work only when connected to the battery charger. I hope someone can help me! Thanks in advance. The text can be somewhat meaningless, because I'm from Brazil and translated using Google Translator.

    Hi denisssilva94,
    Welcome to the Support Community!
I would suggest first testing your BlackBerry® Curve™ 8520 smartphone with another battery to rule out any issue with the battery itself.
If you have the same issues when using another battery, please try to back up your data using the BlackBerry® Desktop Software and perform a clean reload of your BlackBerry® Device Software.
For further instructions, please see the following KB articles.
For Windows®: "How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows" http://bbry.lv/GI9beY
For Mac: "Perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software on a Mac computer" http://bbry.lv/J0UN1U
Please test to make sure the issue has been resolved before restoring any data from your backup file.
    Hope this helps.

  • My Sony z keep turning itself off randomly

Did you expose it to water recently?Do you get any messages to appear before it shuts down?Did you try and check if this also happens in Safe Mode?

Now this is where it gets super weird....... The small pin on the micro USB port which connects to the charger broke on my phone. I had gone to the Authorized Service Center of Sony and they simply refused to touch my phone stating that since its a Z series phone which is water and dust resistant, the company does not allow them to touch those phones. Spoke on their online customer support who echoes the same thing and suggested me to send the phone to the company itself via the service center. He told me if I decide to do that, i have to pay a handling charge irrespective of whether my phone gets repaired or not.  So i decided to find another solution. I got myself a Sony Dock Charger for Xperia Z which was specifically launched for users like me whose pins have broken. Now that Dock charger does not connect to my laptop no matter what I do. As in my laptop doesn't recognize the phone when its connected.  So, PC companion is also not possible for me.

  • My Ipod 4g turns itself off randomly VERY frequently (10x a day).

However, I think this product is related to movement, as it does not switch off when it is on my desk, but does while in my pocket. Apple Store will not replace it (in warranty), they think it is battery-related when it obviously isn't.

    *I think this problem
Additional details: Also, are the Apple Store obliged to change my ipod with this type of error? I did not cause any particular damage to it that I know of, so it isn't user-related.

  • Update: Video - Canon 6D turns itself off after a few shots with fully charged battery

Update: I uploaded my video to youtube, please comment:
    http://youtu.be/3PNLUYd8g7A
TIA and pardon me for my English.
I posted this originally at another forum, and somebody suggested me to post it here as well, to get more help.
Long story short, I purchased a brand new Canon 6D from B&H on Oct 24th, 2013. From early december, the camera starts to shut itself off randomly and displaying empty battery. I found the camera constantly shuts itself off after 20 - 100 continuous shots with a FULLY charged battery (right off charger, showing 8.23V using multimeter, and showing 98% in battery info).
The camera will just turn itself off in the middle of shooting, showing empty battery int the shoulder window. The solution is simple, open the battery door, then close it again, no need even to pull the battery.
So, I contacted Canon support, sent the camera to the VA service facility, waiting for it be repaired. As an engineer myself, I understand things fail, and I thought this is such an easy issue to reproduce, anybody should be able to repro it.
Couple of days later, I received a phone call to send my accessories in, no problem, debugging needs more info, that's normal. I sent my lens and stuff in. I unfortunately had to bear the cruel fact that I don't have a decent camera for the holiday, though I have a backup.
After a long wait, on 12/28the, the accessories were delivered at 9:35am. At 10am, they called me, they were sending the camera back. No issue at all. I was like, have you tested AT ALL? They didn't care, sending the camera back regardless.
I received the camera on Jan 2nd, and saw the same issue on that day. Of course, it was NOT fixed at all.
I googled really hard, somebody said he had similar issue but it was a defective battery, so I got a brand new Canon battery, unfortunately, the same issue pops up again.
Ok, the only choice for me is to send it back again.  But this time I am totally amazed by Canon.
I sent the camera in again with my lens and battery. Also, a video showing the issue on a standalone CF card (I know 6D does not take CF, just to put the video on it).
Couples of days later, they called asking for accessories, I was like, what accessories, I don't have any more.
Then the camera sit in their facility for a few days for nothing. All of sudden I received a phone call on Monday morning, said it is ready. The camera has no issue at all.
I called, asked whether they have watched the video, they told me two technicians, including a senior one, was not able to upload the video to the computer. I was like, what the hell? why the heck you need to upload it to the computer, find a card reader, plug the card in, double click, how simple is that?
I talked to the service manager over the phone, he told me that there is nothing he could do, if their technician said so. They have decided to send my camera back, NOT fixed, again. I esclated the issue again, but haven't heard anything back yet.
Honestly, I am totally pissed, how stupid can they be? I included a letter with detailed steps on how to reproduce this issue. As an engineer myself, I know how easy to reproduce this issue. But what shocked me is that they don't even know or they didn't even bother to watch the video. In the same letter, I asked/begged them to contact me if they cannot reproduce the issue instead of just sending it back unfixed.
Guys, any other ways to get their attention? I already filed a BBB complaint. For a brand new camera of 3 months old, it has been in Canon's repair shop for almost a month. Leave to say that I missed the most importand holiday season in the year. This is simply not acceptable.

"The camera usually shuts itself off after 20-100 continuous shot, ..."
By this you mean your are in continuous drive? You just hold the shutter release down until it stops shooting?
    "... the shoulder LCD shows a ..."
    What is the "shoulder" LCD?
Sorry for the extra questions but I am trying to understand exactly what you are going through and why Canon said it is OK.
Canon did not say it was all right if it is not.
You are, also saying, if you use the camera, just for a single snap shot, say several in a session, it is OK? Right?
It only shuts down when on continuous drive or video?

  • IPhone won't stop trying to turn itself off

My iPhone has been acting very strange recently. Try's to turn itself off randomly, well fade in and out real fast so I don't go on it for the time being. And if I touch my lock button once it will automatically try to turn itself off again. How do I get rid of this

    1. Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
    2. Restore using iTunes, also restoring a backup
    3. Restore as new, without using a backup
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
    4. If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware problem that needs evaluation by Apple or an Apple authorized service provider.

  • IPhone Turning Itself Off - Failing to Wake Up

My iPhone 3G has been turning itself off/failing to wake up for a couple of months now. I've tried restoring it and deleting iTunes and then reinstalling. Apple support tried and couldn't fix and said it was an iTunes issue. Their suggestions didn't fix anything and I'm getting really frustrated. I have found several forums on other sites in which lots of people are having this same issue. iPhone is not jailbroken, hasn't been abused, etc. I've turned off push notifications b/c one forum said this would decrease the problem. My phone turns itself off randomly when in sleep mode for no apparent reason. I can do a hard reset and it will come back on after several seconds, but phone calls and texts have been missed. Sometimes they don't show up for several more minutes after the phone is turned back on. This didn't start until around when I updated my software a couple of months ago. Maybe OS3.1? Help, help, help!!!

  • My iPhone 3GS just turns itself off for no reason

My iPhone turns itself off randomly for no reason. It only turns back on once I start charging it again. It will turn itself off sometimes if the battery is quite full or quite low so there isn't a set pattern as to when it happens. Its quite annoying if im not at home as I cant get in touch with anyone then.
I think I need a new battery but does anyone know any different? Has anyone else had the same problem at all?
    Cheers!

Try resetting it by holding the home and power keys down until the Apple logo appears.

  • Issues with Iphone 3GS turning itself off

I have an I-phone 3GS. I've already had this same issue with my last phone and at the Apple store, they didn't explain it but instead, replaced it saying it was an uncommon issue. Well my new phone has done it as well. After turning my phone off for awhile, when I turned it back on, the backside was kind of hot and it kept turning itself off every minute or so. Luckily it stopped this time but my last phone did not. I tried turning it off again but it didn't help. I tried restoring it, no luck. The symptoms are simply that it turns itself off continuously and when it is on, you can't call out or send texts. The phone is virtually useless. The guy thought the problem might be with my Itunes but I don't know what that would be. My phone also has an Otterbox on if that would possibly cause an issue. Anyone ever have similar issues or know what the problem might be?

  • X201i turns itself off instantly

Our X201i 3323 BTG turns itself off now and then. It looks like a hardware problem because it turns off instantly without any wobble from Windows 7 32-bit. The latest BIOS version and the latest drivers are installed.
So far, it never happened when the X201i was connected to a network cable. It only happened on wireless, and one time shortly after turning on. In the latter case, the wireless switch was turned on but the X201i had not yet been connected because Windows 7 had just begun to boot.
We will send the X201i in for repair or return. I am just dropping this message in case someone else has the same problem.

try updating the wireless driver or switch off the wireless in bios, and see whether this problem occurs.

My Iphone is constantly trying to turn itself off and also taking screen shots when I'm not touching it.  I think it may have something to do with the Sleep button but would welcome any suggestions. I have already restored it to Factory settings but it didn't help.

  • IPhone 5C - Turned itself off and won't come back on.

I have owned this phone since the day it came out (20th September) and it was fine up until a few weeks ago. It decided - frequently - to reboot itself, lines would appear on my screen and the brightness would decrease until the phone turned itself off. Soon the apple logo would appear and everything would be fine. I noticed that it would do this while I was on it while it was charging or when a lot of apps were open. I avoided doing these things, but it still would happen. Sometimes it would do it and the apple logo would not appear - I learned of the holding down the home and sleep/wake button at the same time hack, and would do that to get it back on. As time went on the problem would persist, sometimes it would take a few attempts to get the phone back on - I removed some recent apps and the phone was fine for about a week.
Last Friday the phone did it again, so I decided to factory reset/restore through iTunes and then restore my backup. For a couple of days the phone was fine, up until last night where the phone switched off - thinking this was like all the other times I did what I'd usually do. But nothing, I've left it to charge, I've attempted to restore it. When I go to restore it the apple logo appears and the process bar appears, however iTunes turns around and says that it cannot restore the phone.
I went onto here to try and attempt to have it sent back for service, I put in my IMEI number, and it said that I need to turn "Find my iPhone" off, I did that and now it says that it's still on, when it isn't!
Does anyone know what I can do? Or shall I just ring them and figure out how to send it back through that?

This happened to me yesterday. This probably isn't any use to you now, but for others with this question. This morning I took the back off of my phone, and I took the battery out and plugged it in to my laptop. It immediately lit up. We put the battery back in and restored it and it works better than ever. Not sure if this will work for all, but it worked for me!
