PC users, do you get this message when you connect?

I can connect to itunes fine, but everytime it recognizes it as a camera drive and pulls up a window to select a photo program. Worst is, there is no, DO NOT DO ANYTHING selection. Any advice? Thx!

Disable autoplay for the iPhone drive:

After disabling it, when you plug in your iphone you will hear the chirp but the window will not appear. Then in explorer you'll see the "Apple iPhone" drive in the folder list on the left.

the new ones do not support firewire. you should try using the usb cable that came with your iPod.
I know that my mini used a firewire cable just fine, but my nano gives me that message. I had to get a new charger because of it.

Before trying the update again, use Microsoft's Fix it solution at http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall. Use it to uninstall iTunes and Quicktime. It bypasses this not uncommon problem. When the solution finishes, the selected program will be uninstalled. It can take several minutes and I have seen as much as half an hour.
After iTunes & Quicktime are uninstalled, try the update again.

I upgraded my 2007 iMac (20") to Maverick. Should never have done this! Lost mail, lost my mail archive, lost numerous programs/applications, lost all my installed hardware, spend 4 days on getting it running again with the (supreme) help of Apple Care. However it should not have happened at all!
iMac Computers with less than 4Gb of internal memory (as explained by Apple Care), or less than (estimated) 150Gb of free disc-space should not upgrade! Simple as that and the App Store should warn you about that and not simply let you pick up your free copy of Maverick!

You might want to try it again. It started working for me about 10 minutes ago (~8pm CST).
This was happening for rentals and purchases.

That means that if you use online maps, it will consume data. If you're on WiFi, no worries. If you are on cellular data, then it will eat into your cellular data plan.

This computer is authorized, auoto download is enabled and I can download on my ipad without a problem.
Any ideas what might be going on?

If you are getting this error message just when attempting to download previously purchased music (new purchases work fine), and it's only occuring on the computer (redownloads on the iPad work fine), it may be a permissions issue. I used my same Apple ID to download Yosemite and now I get this message when I click the UPDATE button for iMovie, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. As I understand it, you would need to go back before Mavericks. Such as, wipe your Mac and install a clone of your old Snow Leopard installation. Make sure the old iWork apps were installed and upgrade to Mavericks.
What occurred when I upgraded from Mt Lion to Mavericks, is the MAS detected my installed iWork '09 apps, alerted me to available updates and presented the Mavericks versions of iWork in the Purchases pane for me to accept into my account. After I accepted them into my account, it then proceeded to install the Mavericks versions in the Apps folder and at the same time sequestered my previously installed iWork '09 apps in a folder in the Apps folder named iWork '09. Later, when I upgraded to OS X Yosemite, the MAS alerted me to upgrades for the Mavericks iWork apps and updated them to the Yosemite versions.

The instalation process runs smoothly without any error message and iTunes has been installed in my computer before. The problem started with the update no. 12. Any idea what's going on? Thank you

if itunes will not run, you probably have mangled windows badly
one feature of windows 8 is the refresh that saves libraries,
because you are using windows 7, you will need to backup all files to another storage device
